Chapter 7: Day two |

We made our way into the school premises following the student council who for some reason was in a really good mood.

After walking through a hallway for a minute, they pushed open a door of a class signaling us to follow them inside. 

There were a lot of Elementary schoolers? sat across the class on the benches looking right at our faces, "Good morning" they greeted us standing up from their chairs.

"Morning" we all replied in unison some smiling, some...rather annoyed? or not interested.

"Alright, everyone. These 15 people will be your handlers for today's trips and games! There are other teachers down near the forest with plaque cards with photos and hints for the plants you'll need to find and write about in your books. Big brother and sisters here are gonna help you 'kay?" the spiked hair guy said rather normally, it's like a complete 180 from yesterday huh.

"Okay!!" the kids replied smiling.

"Alright, now form a line and follow us" the student council spoke to the kids.

"Yes!"

[Time Skip]

"Let's see, there's 8 of you...You go with Katagiri High okay?" he said looking at the 8 kids in front of him.

The kids looked towards us with determination in their eyes. This event was just divided into completion on which group finds all the plants and writes about them the fastest. 

The kids got divided into 3 groups, Sobu, Minegahara and Katagiri. 

The other two were given 10 students while we got 8 in ours, well....it's lucky for us. 

"Are you guys ready to win?" I asked the Elementary schoolers in front of me.

"Yes!!" They replied to my enthusiasm.

"Now now, stick close to us. Okay? don't wander off on your own" Kono san added.

"There could be dangerous insects in the forest 'kay? you don't wanna come near one" Remi added.

"I-insects?" the kid replied in fear along with SENGOKU?! Already getting scared even before we start to head up? how are you so afraid of insects man.

"Yes, and you don't wanna get bitten by them right? it's gonna hurt a lot" Remi added.

"It's okay Oneechan, we will splay on them!" One kid said taking out his insect repellant. 

"They're so CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Remi exclaimed as she rapidly pulled the cheeks of this certain unlucky kid who decided to show her the insect repellant.

"It's hur-hurtshing..." he said in between his tears.

"Sakura, calm down...calm down" Kono-san interjected setting the kid free who now was running fingers on his cheeks as tears drip out of his eyes.

"It's fine...she meant no harm," she said head patting the kid.

"Alright, everyone listen up here. My name is Hiratsuka sensei and he's Minamoto Sensei. We'll be the distributors for the cards at the start point. As you go up, you'll find Rimura sensei and Kiara sensei who will be at the very last checkpoint for your last task" she announced then took a break.

"You have a hour to talk out your strategies with your leaders and the game begins after an air horn from the student council" she continued.

"Good luck" Minamoto sensei spoke as the two made their way up the forest.

"There's 3 entrances and all of them lead up to the same checkpoint. I'll let you guys figure out which one you wanna use. Just remember one thing, every kid in your group...is your responsibility. If they unfortunately get disbanded through your journey, it's all your responsibility" The student council spoke.

He's emphasising it tooo much, is there some trap or something? considering what happened yesterday....

"I'm getting this weird feeling...it feels like they're setting us up for some trap" I heard Sengoku say in a low voice.

"Yeah...I felt so too" I added.

"Should we talk it out with other groups?" Kono-san suggested.

"I think we should" Remi agreed as we nodded.

I looked over at the Minegahara school group as to our surprise they were looking at us aswell then we both combined looked at the Sobu high group and received a mutual nod understanding the situation very well.

"We'll be right back, can you guys stay here for a while?" We asked the kids.

"Sure!!" the group replied.

"You can go talk to your friends in the other group in the meantime" we smiled as we took our leave to the nearby school canteen which was there opposite to the entrance. 

As all the group accumulated, we took notice of the student council eyeing us but the kids around them kept them busy prevent from any overhearing.

"We need to sit in a circle it seems, those people are eyeing us" Yuzu Nakamoto was it? suggested.

"Seems logical" Yukinoshita replied as we collected chairs from around putting them in a circle only to realise something.

We are one chair less...Suzuki was unable to find one spare chair.

"I'll stand dont wor-" he began saying before two people cut him off.

"No" Kawasaki interjected along with Yuzu? 

What is this romcom harem is this guy in?

"Look there's a girl sitting there with a spare chair, if we ask her nicely she might lend it to us" Sakurajima suggested.

"Fine..." he sighed as he approached this girl.

"Nicely Blakie, Nicely" Yuzu reminded him.

"Brother, just watch my charms" he said as he made his way towards her.

"Hey are you single?" he asked.

When he said this a certain head was turned towards that which was otherwise in her phone.

The guy turned around in annoyance but her face expression changed? what cause of this embarrasing  situation.

"Ye-yes" she replied nervously.

"Are you expecting someone?" he asked tapping on the chair.

"N-no, you can sit there if you wish so-" she began saying with her ears red which was very visible from here.

"Then i'll be taking this chair, thank you" he said taking the chair and bringing it towards us.

Have you ever seen a soul leave a human? I just witnessed it...that poor girl.

"You call that nice?!" Yuigahama asked as he aligned his chair next to this bluenette.

"Oh i'm sorry, that was much better than being nice. Probably can call me a gentleman now" he replied seriously.

"Let's just talk important matter here...I'm not really interested in getting blamed for a murder by a parent" Azusagawa broke the topic.

"Yeah...they're acting kinda sus" I added.

"AMOG US AMOG US-" Sakuta began saying before getting pinched on his stomach?! by the girl sitting next to him. God that's gonna hurt.

"Shut up Sakuta" she added.

The group returned to the main discussion for the time being as so the assumptions began.

[Time skip]

"Alright, all of you are now ready?" the spiked hair council spoke taking the air horn in his hands.

"Yes" The kids and us all replied.

"Then, go!" he blowed the air horn up indicating the start of the game.

As discussed we made all the kids walk in center as Me and Kono-san was at the back while Sengoku and Remi leaded the way. Going through the third entrance was...well not something we had control off, it was the closest to us so we picked it up.

"I just hope nothing happens" Kono-san spoke looking at me.

"Well that's the plan. If everything we planned works, it'll be a breeze" I smiled.

"I-I...Yeah! hopefully..." she replied.

"The air here seems rather better for some reason" I changed the topic to break this "tension" off.

"It could the mild and soft smell of the soil, after all it rained a bit early morning" She replied.

"It rained today?" I asked.

"Just a bit, not much also it was pretty early in the morning" she replied.

"You really can wake up early now, can you?" I chuckled.

"No-not really, I guess i was just excited?" she smiled.

"haha okay" I chuckled.

"I really like natural places like this you know, it feels like it shows humanity that nature can look a lot beautiful without us" she said.

"You like forests?" I asked.

"Not just forests but...a lot of natural places like waterfalls, high mountains...etc" she replied.

"That's why you were so excited for this trip?" I asked.

"W-w-what? no no I was-wasn't" she tried to deny it but clearly couldn't hide her embarrasment.

"Cmon you were the first one to arrive even before Rimura sensei" I spoke.

"Did she told you guys about it?" she asked.

"While you were asleep, yes" I replied.

"While I was asleep..." she said to herself before she realised something.

I saw a hint of blush creeping up on her face as she said, "Nevermind, let's catch up to the kids!!" she said walking a bit faster.

"We aren't even away from them..."

Sorry for not updating, hasn't been feeling "gang gang" lately...
