Chapter 7: Day Two ||

After an almost 10 minute walk, we made it to our first checkpoint.

"You're the first team here, congratulations" Shizuka sensei spoke.

"This will be your clue card, now watch your steps carefully okay?" Minamoto sensei said giving out the cards to all the kids.

"Okay!" they replied.

"Can I pluck a flower out mommy?" a kid said looking at Shizuka sensei.

"M-m-m-mo-mommy?!" she got flustered.

"Can I?" she asked sensei again.

"Ah-Uhm-yes-I Mean...No...You shouldn't pluck the flowers" She replied.

"You know, flowers take years and months to become what they are today, wouldn't it hurt if someone just plucked it out?" The male sensei next to her replied, what was his name again...Minamoto?

"Okay," the kid replied.

"Good now go up with oni and onee chans there I hope you win" he replied patting her head.

"Mhm" she nodded smiling coming back to us.

As our trip started again, we started going up in the forest for the 2nd checkpoint. 

"Keeping the kids in middle was a Good Idea" Kono-san stated smiling.

"Yeah, we have a good view over them" I replied as I looked in front while the kids marched along following Sengoku and Remi.

"Oneesan, are you and Oni-chan a c-couple?" a female student asked as by looks of it, she wanted to ask this question from quite a while but got interrupted again and again.

You're my wingman!

"Ah, n-n-no we aren't a couple. yet" Kono san replied getting flustered as her voice went very weak towards the end as I couldn't hear what she said towards the end.

"U-umm what was that?" I asked.

"No-nothing" Kono-san spoke.

We soon reached our first location as we started looking around for the flower that was given to us in the plaque card. The kids sticking together was our main focus as me and Kono-san kept them together while Sengoku and Remi looked around for the flower.

"We found it!" I heard Remi's voice as our attention diverted towards Remi.

The kids squealed in joy making us chuckle as we group up around the flower.

"Now, you can write about it. The color of the flower, it's height, appearance and you can even draw it!" I stated.

"Okay!" they agreed as some of them began drawing it while the others wrote about it and this one guy just tried to smell it? which is instantly regretted sneezing hard.

"Not a good smell?" Sengoku asked.

"Yea..." he replied poking his nose.

I looked around as my eyes fell on a certain route that went uphill? there's a signboard next to it, SIGHTSEEING THIS WAY.

Hm...maybe I'll come check it out tomorrow. 

[Time Skip]

At last, making it up to the final checkpoint where Rimura sensei was, "Hope you guys had fun" she asked as she collected the books off the kids.

"We did!" our batch replied.

"You're the first one up here, that indicates a solid win us Katagiri high" Rimura sensei spoke with eyes full of stars.

"Ye-yeah..." we collectively sweatdropped.

"Now I won't lose the bet with Hiratsuka and Minamoto sensei hehehehe" Rimura sensei chuckled devilishly.

"Oni-chan, is she normally like this?" one of the students asked Sengoku.

"Well..yeah..." Sengoku sighed.

"Can we go back now? I'm hungry..." one of the students said.

"I agree.." another one added.

"I agree aswell" Remi added.

"You're supposed to be with us, not them!" Kono-san added.

"But I am hungry!" Remi protested.

"Remi...." Kono-san said as I felt a menacing aura in those words.

"Sa-sa-sakura...okay!!! please don't do that!!! sorry"

[Time Skip]

It was almost night now as we all and when I say all I meant literally all 15 of us were roaming around the small town, looking for souvenirs to buy as tomorrow evening we'll be going back.

"What are you buying Remi?" Kono-san asked as Remi just picked out a handmade key chain?

"Look look, it's a wood-crafted keychain...It's so cuteeeeee. Sengoku let's buy this" Remi said picking out one S and one R letter key chain.

"You sure you wanna buy this?" Sengoku asked.

"Yes! Sakura you should buy one too and Tanji-kun you aswell" Remi said.

"It's good but...I'm not really feeling it" I said.

"How about this Tanji-kun?" Kono-san said picking up a handmade bracelet? 

"It looks, colorful" I replied.

"Right?" Kono-san agreed, going through some more of them.

She put the two she originally picked out a bit away from the current pile as she went through a lot of them to find a perfect color? 

"I'll take this one" I said picking up the one she originally handed me out of the two.

"There could be better ones in there aswell though" She replied with a slight smile on her face.

"Nah it's fine, if that's the one you picked. I'll take that" I replied smiling.

"Ah-okay, yeah! sure!" Kono-san replied picking the remaining one up.

From the corner of my eye, I could feel Remi and Sengoku eyeing us which was expected but I could also feel a stare from one of the few students near us, Yuzu to be precise.

Paying up, I instantly wore the bracelet looking at it it really looked well. All these cyan, light pink, and white threads intervening with each other gave it such a chilled look.

Looking over at Kono-san she was also wearing it and her ears were red for some reason?

Does she have a fever?

[Time Skip]

"Wait up! Tanji" I heard Sengoku as I was about to get into the house.

I looked back as I saw Sengoku standing there along with Yuzu? and the earphones guy...Suzuki if I'm not wrong.

"You guys go ahead, we'll join you in a bit" I said smiling to Kono-san and Remi who nodded acceptingly and went inside our resthouse.

I walked towards this group , "What is it?" I asked.

"Let's go for a walk" Sengoku said smiling while the Yuzu guy was smiling aswell. Suzuki still unfazed was just looking at us leaning on a wall.

Walking to a nearby park that Yuzu guided us to, we gathered near a vending machine of cola.

Taking one sip out of it, Sengoku started. "When are you confessing?" 

I just spat out that one sip out of pure shock on Sengoku's face as the unlucky guy was standing in front of me.

"Classic manga reaction" Suzuki spoke.

"I know right? Haha" Yuzu chuckled.

"Wait why you all know..." I asked being completely clueless.

"Well your friend here" Suzuki said looking towards Sengoku.

"SEN GOO KUU...." I said coldly.

"LISTEN MAN, THEY THEMSELVES OBSERVED WHAT HAPPENED BACK AT THE SHOPS AND YUZU ASKED ME ABOUT IT!!!!" Sengoku replied in horror.

"It's fine man, chill out. You like that girl? Kono was it?" Yuzu asked smiling.

I sighed...."What's the point to hide it now....I do..." I spoke.

"And you're too embarrassed to confess?" Yuzu asked.

"It's not just that... I don't know if she likes me back dude..." I replied.

"Are you kidding me? you just bought a matching bracelet!" Yuzu spoke.

"HUH!?" I looked at me bracelet and realized something....HER BRACELET had the same colors too.....

"I didn't realise it...back there" I spoke.

"She picked it  out for him" Sengoku added.

"Do you need anymore proofs?" Yuzu asked.

"Bu-but she liked someone else...." I spoke.

"You're a clown" Suzuki spoke.

"Excuse me?" I asked getting a bit hostile.

"Blakie, tone" Yuzu said to Suzuki.

"You liked her and yet you were helping her get together with another guy? what are you trying to be? 90's silent lover?" he spoke.

"BUT SHE WOULD BE HAPPY RIGHT?" I spoke.

"Oh yeah? where did that get her? let me guess, to pain?" Suzuki continued.

"Listen here buddy, you're walking on a very thin line here" I warned him.

He just started chuckling, "Oh really? you think you're gonna beat me up? hahahah the one who can't beat himself can never surpass anyone else" Suzuki replied chuckling.

"Sengoku, why did you bring me here?" I asked the only one I knew best here.

"Buddy, listen to me. You have a chance tomorrow before we leave. If you keep her hanging like this, she'll loose interest in you" Yuzu spoke.

She can loose interest in me?

"Always remember the golden rule" Suzuki spoke.

"That is?" we all three collectively asked.

"If you can't make her laugh and giggle you can't get those cheeks clap and jiggle. I don't know what you guys here don't understand" he finished.

"Says the one who's the only one here without a girl" Sengoku said.

"Actually he might have one....Kawasaki-san HAAA?" Yuzu teased Suzuki.

"She's...just a friend...first one I've had in a long time..." Suzuki spoke.

"Haah, is that a blush I see?" He teased him further.

"Whatever man, Zeus blackout within 150 meters" he spoke into his earpiece? 

 Suddenly the light went out in the park as I heard some footsteps going away before they vanished.

"What the fuck?" Sengoku asked.

"Just stay put, another one of his tricks to escape" I heard Yuzu's voice.

"Is this even legal?" I asked as the light gradually came back on as only 3 of us were left. 

"Trust me, you don't wanna dig deep in his tricks. Anyways, good luck for tomorrow" Yuzu said as we started heading back to the resthouse.

"You don't know if I am confessing tomorrow" I added.

"You will"

Sorry if this chapter was bad, I'm not really feeling "gang gang" lately. zzz there's too much stuff happening in life rn and I'm not getting any free time nowadays. 

Should I make it a confession next chapter? I have plans for Kawasaki fanfic and I really wanna write for that.
