Part 52

Clarke POV:

It had been a couple days and I still haven't seen Lexa. She hasn't been to school and I haven't seen her around anywhere. I have been trying to convince myself not to worry but the truth is that I started worrying the second she walked out.

"Come on Raven!" I shouted from the kitchen as I put my converse on. "Coming," she said back as she and Luna walked out of their room, both out of breath.

"Really?" I said and I couldn't stop laughing at their appearance. They were sweaty and their clothes were messed up.

"Shut up," she said as she walked past me and through the door. I kept laughing until I started the car and drove to school.

"Hey guys," I said as we walked up to our friends. "Hey Griff!" Jasper said as he waved. "Rae you missed a button," Octavia said with a snicker as she pointed to Raven's shirt. "Uh," Raven said as she looked down at her shirt then back to Luna. I bursted out in laughter again.

"Really guys?" Lincoln said with a laugh as well at the two girls. "I don't want to hear it Lincoln," Luna said as she put her hand up in defense. I was still laughing as Raven was fiddling with the buttons on her shirt out of embarrassment.

"Jesus you two, is there anytime you don't do it?" Octavia said with a laugh. "No," I answered for them and everyone looked at me.

"You guys aren't as quiet as you think," I said as I looked at them and they both blushed hard from embarrassment. "I didn't really want to know that," Octavia said with a disgusted face.

"Ok are you really going to tell me you two haven't done it in the morning before coming to school," Raven said skeptically as she finished buttoning her shirt up and then pointing to Lincoln and Octavia. Neither of them answered. "Oh my god," Jasper said as he crossed his arms and laughed at them now.

"Shut up Jasper, I walked in on you and Maya in the school bathroom, I don't want to hear another word from you," Octavia said as pointed to him violently.

My jaw dropped to the floor. "The school bathroom dude, really?" Monty said and Jasper didn't say anything. He faked gagged out of disgust which caused more laughter.

"Are you serious Maya?" Harper said as she crossed her arms and looked at her. "Lets refocus on Lincoln and Octavia," Maya said and you could see the embarrassment written all over her face.

"See," Raven said proudly. "Shut up Raven your shirt is still buttoned wrong," Octavia snapped back as she blushed.

"Damnit," Raven said as she looked back down to her shirt. "Here," Luna said as she turned Raven to face her.

Luna unbuttoned a few buttons before rebuttoning them the right way. Raven had a cheesy smirk on her face the whole time. "There," she said as she gave Raven a kiss on the cheek.

"Nope," Octavia said. I looked at her and she was looking at Raven's shirt which was still button incorrectly.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS SHIRT?" Raven screamed as she looked down at the poorly buttoned up shirt. "How is that even possible?" Luna said as she scanned over the shirt as well.

I looked at her shirt and ran my fingers down the middle. "You're missing a button," I said as I looked back up to Raven. "Of course you are," Luna said sarcastically.

"Well if you didn't rip the shirt off, I might still have the button," Raven said as she turned to Luna.

I choked on air and started laughing. Octavia turned her face into Lincoln's chest to prevent her laughter from being to loud and Lincoln was biting his lip to try and stop a smile across his face. Jasper and Monty didn't even try to hide their giggles.

"Yeah you don't want to start that debate," Luna said, challenging Raven with her lifted eyebrow. I put my hand over my mouth to hold back my laughter but it was too much. Raven looked like she was going to say something but stopped herself which made everyone laugh even more.

"Ok, that's enough, I'm leaving," I said as I tried to control myself. "Wait, before you go, do you guys want to meet at the bar later?" Octavia said as she looked at all of us.

"Sure," I said and everyone nodded and agreed before I walked away from the group, still chuckling about the events that just occurred.

School ended and Octavia came to my side to walk with me. "You ready to go to the bar?" She chirped next to me.

"Not yet O," I said with a laugh as I looked down at my hands that were covered in paint from my art class. "You might want to change," she said as she pointed to my shirt which also had paint splattered on it.

"Yeah," I said with a nod as we got outside. "I will text everyone be there later, you go home and change," Octavia said to me as we approached Luna and Raven. She smiled and waved to all of us before pulling her phone out and walking away.

Octavia:Met outside the bar in an hour!

"Alright let's go," I said after everyone responded to the text. We went home and I washed the paint off of me and changed my clothes.

We got outside the bar and we were all there except for Octavia. "She planned this, how is she not here?" Jasper said as we all sat outside the building.

A car pulled up and a short girl with brown hair jumped out and walked over to us. "Finally," Raven joked. "Whatever," Octavia said back with an eye roll as she shoved her arm.

We walked into the bar and looked around for a moment before finding a table.

When I walked in, as my eyes went around the room I froze. I stopped walking and this caused someone to run into me from behind.

"Fuck! What the hell Clarke?" Raven said as she came to my side. "You can't just stop walking like that," she complained, rubbing her head. I didn't say anything and I just gripped her arm tightly so she would get my message.

"Jesus fucking Christ, what is it woman?" She said almost annoyed as she looked from my face to my hand on her arm.

I didn't say anything but Raven scanned my face and then the room to see what I was looking at.

"Oh," she said as she realized why I froze. "Why are you guys just standing there?" Jasper said and we both looked at him. Raven nudged me to follow her. I took a few seconds before following Raven to the table.

"Ok we need drinks," Monty said, rubbing his hands together as we sat down. "Clarke will go get them," Raven said, wasting no time nominating me.

"I hate you," I said and she winked at me. "Luna come with me," I said, grabbing Luna and forcefully pulling her out of her seat to come with me.

"Why?" She said as she caught her footing. "Because," I said and I felt her stop walking. I looked back and she was frozen, just like me.

"That's why," I said as I pulled her into a walk again. We sat at the bar to order drinks when a bartender came over.

She was wearing a black collared shirt that was rolled up past her elbows and she had a small towel hanging over one of her shoulders. Her hair was up in a messy ponytail that had a few strands in the front hanging down over her face which framed her perfect jawline and accentuated her green eyes.

She made eye contact with us and no emotion showed, it was fair to say I was a bit disappointed. She walked over to us and put her hands on the bar.

"What are you doing here?" She said as she looked between us and then back at our table of friends. "I could say the same about you," I said back, way more bitterly than I would have liked.

"I work here Clarke," she said with an unamused tone. "Hey Lex," Luna said and Lexa turned to her and smiled. "Hey Luna," she said back with a warm gaze. Luna put her hand on my arm and then walked away from the bar, leaving me alone with her.

"Why aren't you at school?" I asked her but she wouldn't look at me. She looked down at glasses she was cleaning.

"I guess when you have no family, no home and no money, in hindsight, school just isn't that important," she said after she finally looked me in the eyes. Those eyes. I knew them so well but I didn't know what to say.

"Are you ok?" I asked and she didn't answer. "After what happened," I added. "Yes Clarke, I'm fine. Are you ok?" She asked, this time her eyes filled with concern.

"Uh, yeah I guess," I said and her eyebrows scrunched together. "That's what I was afraid of," she muttered. "What?" I said but she didn't answer my question.

"If you are going to order something, please do. If not, I have other customers to serve," she said as she walked away from my area.

She walked down the bar to a few very drunk girls that were staring at her with very obvious sloppy heart eyes. Lexa greeted them with a warm smile and they all giggled and watched her make drinks for them.

I got up from my seat at the bar and went to the door. I caught the eye of Luna on my way and gave her an apologetic look. She gave me one back that said she understood.

I opened the door and turned back to look at the green eyes girl behind the bar. She looked up from making her drinks and looked at me. We held a stare for a second before she looked back down and I walked out of the building.
