Morning Walks, Making Songs, and . .

["Oppa~ why are we up so early~"]

I looked at Woozi's back that seemed to be getting farther slowly.

Both of us were walking down the street together.

Both of us with our hats and masks on.

It was 5:50 in the morning.

["We have to get there early so we can get in as much work as possible."]

I groaned and jumped around.

Then I quickly walked over to catch up to him.

["Look, I understand 7 or 8, but not 6 in the morning! I'm so tired! I might just fall asleep while walking~"]

He looked at me and rolled his eyes.

["If you fall asleep, I'll leave you here."]

I pouted at his comment.

I lightly slapped his arm.

"Why do you have to be like this? Ugh, you are too complicated!"

["Just walk. Hurry up."]

He stuck out his hand towards me.

I just looked at his hand in confusion.

He rolled his eyes again and grabbed my hand and pulled me along.

My face grew hot.

'What is he doing?!'

I stayed quiet and held his hand while we walked.

'His hands are big... It's probably because he plays piano. Mom's hands were also big like his...'

The thought of my mom made me wonder if my dad was wondering where I was.

Then I wondered if Woozi wants me gone just like my dad does.

["Oppa... Are you fine with me being here?"]

He looked at me and kept walking.

["Yeah, why do you ask?"]

I shrugged.

["You always look so tired and I feel like I'm annoying you by being here..."]

["You are annoying. But that just makes everything more fun. Anyways, I've become used to having you around. It feels weird if I don't see your face at all in a day. That's why I always make sure to come home everyday."]

Butterflies.

I grabbed Woozi's hand tightly and smiled.

["That sounds like something a boyfriend would say to their girlfriend."]

Woozi turned his face to look at me.

["D-don't get the wrong idea! I'm also saying that on behalf of everyone in the group."]

I giggled when Woozi studdered.

'Cute~'

I began to swing our hands back and forth as we walked.

["What are you doing?"]

I looked at Woozi who was giving me a weird look.

["Nothing~ I'm just really happy to be with you today."]

His eyes widened at my words.

["What are you saying? Are you sick? Maybe you should go back home. I think you're starting to say crazy things."]

["What? That's so mean oppa~"]

I held his hand tightly as a sign that I would not let go.

["You sure are a pain you know that?"]

["Sorry~ Let's go eat something for breakfast~ I'm hungry!"]

He nodded and quickly looked around for a convienience store to eat some ramen and we continued on our way.

We kept walking with our hands intertwined.

'Maybe we looked like a couple? Would we look like a cute couple?'

I smiled to myself as I felt Woozi's hand around mine.

'He's not cold towards me like usual... Does this mean that we can be friends?'

I walked happily as I felt that Woozi was warming up to me little by little. I had always thought that I kept on putting distance between us everytime I tried to get closer. I'm happy that we can be friends now.

["Woah~ this harmony is so nice! It sounds good!"]

I closed my eyes and began to listen to Woozi play the song he had just finished writing.

The chords he used were beautiful. I felt my whole being become happy and I felt as if I were floating in the air.

["It's so good oppa! It's the best! I love this one!"]

He smiled at me and nodded.

["Okay! One song down! Many more to go. Let's keep going!"]

"No~ You have to take a break! We've been working on this song for 2 hours now! Let's stand up and walk around!"

He was about to begin playing on the piano but I quickly grabbed his hand and turned him around.

"Let's go! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Do you know that saying?"

He looked at me confused.

["It means that if you work all the time without having any fun you'll be boring! Let's go play!"]

He rolled his eyes at me.

["Okay, fine. Let's go. Where are we going?"]

I looked down in thought.

'I hadn't thought about where to go...'

He sighed and scratched the back of his head.

["Let's go to the practice room?"]

I looked at him and nodded.

We both walked there side by side while thinking up lyrics for the song that had just been finished.

Soon we had arrived to the empty practice room and gone inside.

"Teach me something."

I looked at the mirror and made faces to myself.

Woozi took a seat on the couch at the back of the practice room.

["Like what?"]

I looked at him through the mirror then turned and sat down on the same spot.

"Anything, a dance, a song, or tell me about yourself."

I looked at him and then smiled.

"I want to know more about you."

He looked at me and then stood up.

He began to walk around and he put his hand up to his chin.

He suddenly turned to me and pointed at me.

["Let's play a game. Whoever loses has to grant one wish to the one that wins. Deal?"]

I thought about it and nodded.

"Deal. What's the game?"

He looked to the floor and then quickly looked back at me.

["3 games. Um... Staring contest, Kai Bai Bo, and... a race."]

I made a face and giggled.

"Wow, what child-ish games to pick..."

He rolled his eyes at me and grunted.

["I didn't know what else! And those were the first games to come into mind..."]

I nodded, then sat up straight.

"Fine. Let's start then!"

Woozi scooted himself closer to me. We both sat with our legs crossed on the floor and closed our eyes.

["Ready? Set? Go!"]

We both opened our eyes and looked at each other.

Quickly a smile appeared on my face as I couldn't help but laugh at how big Woozi's eyes had become from their small shape.

["What? Is there something on my face?"]

I shook my head.

"Your eyes became ten times bigger then they normally are."

His face became stoic after hearing my comment and let out a fake laugh.

We looked at each other's eyes. We both remained quiet.

I began to look over the rest of his features and looked back up to his eyes.

I had a weird feeling. It wasn't awkward nor uncomfortable.

We both had a serious face on as we stared at each other.

Then he suddenly clapped in front of my face.

And I didn't react.

"Cheater! You can't do that!"

Woozi rolled his eyes at my statement and he unintentionally blinked.

["Oh! I win! I win! You blinked!"]

He face palmed and sighed.

["Okay. Fine. You win. I guess it's my karma for cheating... Next game!"]

I nodded and we played the next game.

I ended up losing on Kai Bai Bo.

I swear it's like Woozi could read my mind. I lost every single round. I didn't even have a chance to win.

["It's not that big a deal! We still have one more game left! I could win this one for all we know!"]

I pouted and began to walk over to one end of the practice room. Woozi soon followed behind me.

["Yeah. Or I could win. Then you'd have to grant my wish."]

I rolled my eyes at him and got into running position.

["Ready?"]

I looked over at Woozi. He had just gotten into position.

["Set?"]

He looked over to me and grinned.

["Go!"]

I pushed myself off the wall and sprinted to the other side of the practice room.

I touched the wall and began to run back as fast as I possibly could.

Before I could reach back to the wall we started at I saw Woozi quickly pass me and get to the wall first.

He turned around with a huge smile on his face and he began to jump around the room.

I jumped around and smiled as wide as I could.

After my little victory parade I saw Jay looking at  me with a pout.

["It's just a game! Why are you so sad about this? Is it because of your wish?"]

She nodded and looked down.

She turned away from me and walked over to the mirror.

["Why? What was your wish?"]

I walked over to her and stood a little bit behind her.

She kept facing towards the floor.

["My wish was to become closer to you..."]

I felt my heart speed up and my face get hot.

["Aren't we close enough as it is?"]

I unknowingly took a step towards her.

["I want to be closer to you. I want to know more about you. I want to stop having this distance between us."]

Another step.

["I just want to be closer to you. More than anyone else here."]

I wasn't thinking.

["That was my wish."]

I just moved as I felt was right.

["I know. I'm stupid for having that as my wish. You don't have to say it..."]

I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and snuggled into her neck.

["I... Want to be closer to you too."]

She turned around and her eyes widened.

I looked at her and leaned towards her a little bit.

["Grant my wish."]

Her eyes looked at mine and her eyebrows furrowed.

"What's your wish?"

I looked at her and wrapped one arm around her waist while the other went to cup her cheek.

I pulled her closer to me and began to lean closer to her slowly.

["Don't get close to Vernon. Don't get close to anybody but me. Please."]

I whispered to her.

She looked at me confused and then slightly nodded.

"Okay..."

I leaned in closer to her and she began to close her eyes.

Then I kissed her.
