PART 66
03:37, 8 February 2025The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the manicured lawn as Sky and Nani stood embraced near the modern house. The air, still warm from the day's heat, carried the scent of freshly cut grass and blooming jasmine from the nearby bushes. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the towering palm trees that lined the driveway, their fronds swaying rhythmically. The house itself, a sleek, minimalist design with expansive windows, looked out over a sparkling blue infinity pool. The scene was idyllic, peaceful, a stark contrast to the turmoil Nani had endured. "Why do you ask that? Were you thinking Chingching might be my child?" Sky laughed, the sound echoing slightly in the tranquil atmosphere. "Looks like someone's a little jealous." "Jealous? Hell no!" Nani retorted, his face falling into a pout, his eyes still reflecting the lingering anxieties of the past year. The setting sun painted his cheeks a warm, rosy hue. Sky chuckled, then changed the subject. "Okay, okay. But tell me, where's Prim now?" Nani shrugged. "I don't know. But I left a note saying I was coming back here, and that I'll love you even more than you love me from now on." He spoke quietly, his voice barely audible above the gentle chirping of crickets. "Oh really?" Sky smirked, his hands finding their way to Nani's waist, pulling him closer. The warmth of Sky's touch sent a shiver down Nani's spine. "Hey! Someone might see us, Sky!" Nani protested playfully, but Sky was already nuzzling his neck, his breath tickling Nani's skin amidst the quiet serenity of the late afternoon. They both erupted into laughter, their joyous sounds blending with the gentle sounds of nature. The laughter was contagious; even a nearby elderly woman, seated on a park bench, smiled warmly at the affectionate couple. "How sweet," she murmured, her voice soft as the evening breeze.
