Kylo Ren's POV:

The long hours of ordering troops around had me irritated and exhausted, I couldn't stand their idiocy any longer. Gladly, tonight's work had come to an end and it was only a matter of time before withdrawing from the First Order.

But before I retired alongside Rey, there was still to agree on the plan of our escape. I had a couple of ideas in mind which I wanted to consult with her before taking any irrational decision that would later complicate things.

I departed earlier from my duties and frantically rushed to meet Rey at this point I didn't care who witnessed my frequent visits to her room. Soon enough we would be gone, far away until we met once more to battle for the last time.

My eagerness caused me to slam on door harshly, hopefully I hadn't frightened her. I removed my usual head ware and placed it down on one of the sofas. There was no point having a mask on around Rey, either way she saw straight through me.

"Rey!" I called out. "I think I finally figured out a way on how to leave, but it has to be tomorrow at dawn."

I patiently waited for a response, but nothing there was only silence. Maybe she had fallen asleep.

"Rey!" I called out again. I peeked inside her bedroom to see if she laid asleep in her bed, but she wasn't there. I was beginning to grow worrisome, what if she'd been taken and held hostage because of me. Another possible situation ran across my thoughts. She couldn't have possibly left? I wanted to believe she hadn't played with my emotions to find her own way back home. No she wasn't cruel.

I searched all around her room for her, but she was no where to be found. Every last piece of furniture she owned now laid in shreds across the floor. It was no use looking for her in the room, she could be anywhere.

I interrogated every single Stormtrooper that came into view, but all gave the same response. Not one of them had seen her.

"You two here now," I commanded. " R-the scavenger has escaped from her cell set out groups to search for her immediately."

They rushed over to follow orders and soon enough groups were formed and rushing down halls. What seemed hours passed by and no new of her disappearance were found. I was disraut and and desperate for a single clue to the cause of her departure from me.

"Sir, one of the shuttles is missing, we believe the girl might have taken it in order to escape," he hurriedly spoke.

She took a shuttle? She left me? The question was how did she ever know where to locate them without help. Those shuttles were contained in the far back of the base, with strict probations for whose use they could be handled by. There was only a single person who could have aided in Rey's disappearance, he was the only one interested in getting rid of her. Soon he would discover the my true wrath.

"Find General Hux immediately and bring him to me. Do not fall for any of his mind tricks, he has aided the scavenger girl escape. He's a traitor to the First Order. If he attempts to flee, you have my permission to shoot and don't miss." Half split to discover Hux's whereabouts and retrieve him to me while the other half remained. Every single troop kept their distance from me. It was a wise choice, I didn't know how long I could resist the temptation to choke every single one to death. I wanted nothing more than the sight of them desperately begging for their lives, but my needs would be satisfied once Hux was found.

Right on cue, three Stormtroopers came alongside Hux. Two held a tight grip on either side of his arms while the third remained ready to shoot if he had to.

"I am the General of the First Order and I demand to be released," he dictated.

"Release him and leave us." Hux was released and everyone else exited just as ordered. Once I was assured we were both alone, I began demanding answers to all my questions.

"Where's Rey?"

"Oh so you've finally dropped the act," he snickered.

"I'm not going to repeat myself again so tell me where Rey is."

"Isn't it obvious Kylo, she left you. It took her a long time to come to her senses, but she finally realized it was impossible to demolish all the darkness living in you. It's time you admit it to yourself, no matter how much you want a part of the light you'll never be good enough for it. Your heart is filled with darkness, anger, and hate and no thing or no one will ever make it go away, not even her. You and I know her heart is pure and good and all she wanted was to revive the good in you, but she learned to late that you murdered it. "

I could feel every piece of hope I had being crushed in the palms of his hands. I was being torn apart. Never in my life had I experienced so much pain at once.

"NOOO! You turned her against me, she loves me! She would never leave. What lies did you tell her?"

With the force I grasped my lightsaber and ignited it, threatening to use against Hux if he refused to speak the truth.

"Unless you want to be cut into pieces, I suggest you start talking now."

"Very well then," he gulped. "I showed her the plans for the attack on the Republic.  She was torn and in that moment it was clear to her that you would never be saved. You could see it in her eyes. All the anger and disappointment she holds against you. I wanted you to be tormented and you know what. I can't wait for the moment Snoke finds out you're failure in securing the girl."

"Too bad you'll never get to see it then," I ended his pathetic life once and for all. My lightsaber shot right through him and I held it there for what seemed like years. I released all my misery every strike of the red light passing through him. I couldn't bring myself to stop, I just kept going and going. Each time crying out louder than before and striking harder.

There was no point in holding back any tears. No one would be able to see them through this useless mask. My tears created a river streaming down my cheekbones. Never had I been so affected by anyone's absence, not even my own fathers. So this is what people called heartbreak.

I lay on the ground motionless, I had no strength to stand up anymore. Without Rey there was no point to anything. She was my hope and with her gone, my hope disappeared and left me empty with no purpose of life. She was my life. She taught me how to love. She taught me how to be human when I believed I would be a monster forever.

Not even the sight of Hux's lifeless body brought me the satisfaction I had longed for, it meant nothing to me.

"Kylo Ren, Snoke is demanding a meeting with you." I didn't bother turning to see who spoke. I sat there motionless for an eternity before my body reacted in its own, placing one foot in front of another until kneeling before Snoke.

"You've greatly failed me. I believed you were strong enough to follow simple orders, you foolish boy!  I can tell you formed feelings for the girl and in spite of all your errors I'm giving you one last opportunity to prove yourself loyal. " I already knew what his request was, but I'd never build the courage to fulfill it. "I want every single rebel dead including the girl. I want to see her lifeless body with my own eyes. If you do, I'll allow you to remain with the Knights of Ren and keep your life. You'll attack as soon as tomorrow at dawn."

Solitude. I guess I should've gotten used to it by now. Dead or alive, nothing mattered to me anymore.

Rey's POV:

No more tears, no more feeling sorry for myself. Only hate and rage remained.

Only a couple of more minutes until I arrived at the base of the Resistance. I didn't know if I would be welcomed with open arms or rejected. It didn't matter though I had to warn them of the attack and convince them I was here to help.

I wouldn't reveal any of the events that had occurred and especially the deception I had lived.

If I got lucky they wouldn't shoot before I landed the shuttle. They probably thought I was the enemy and this was nothing more than a trap.

Unexpectedly, I was granted permission to land which was exactly what I did. Loads and loads began crowding around the shuttle peeking through to see who was inside. I recognized a few faces, but the one that stood out to me was a Finn's.

He looked the same and wore the same jacket when we first met. A wide grin displayed across his lips as he made way through the crowds until reaching the the shuttle and prying the door open.

"I thought we'd lost you for good Rey." He pulled me into a tight embrace. I could smell the odor of grass and dirt, a familiar scent I had missed.

"Where have you been this whole time?"

I hugged back as tight as I could before replying. " I've been at the First Order base all this time held as a hostage."

"You have to tell me everything."

"I will, just not here."

I pulled him away from the crowds and the eyes watching our every move. I told him everything, excluding the deceit of Kylo Ren.

"Finn, you have to help me warn everyone of the attack their planning, it won't be long until they arrive," I pleaded.

"We'll be ready. Leave Kylo to me, I want a rematch from our last encounter."

"No Finn, I want to be the one to finish him."

He glanced about me differently, with an expression that wasn't joy this time. "Something's different about you, I can see that hatred you have towards him. Did he do anything to you?"

"No, but it's time he pays for all the deaths he's caused and I want to be the one who makes him pay."

He didn't argue with me, he simply excepted my wishes and abandoned me to inform the rest. Soon I'd have him on his knees begging me to spare his life. Soon enough the time would come.
