JAERYEONG POV

NEXT MORNING

"I'll give myself to you"

...is what he said.

However, what does he mean by that exactly?

FLASHBACK

"I'll give myself to you. How about that?" Kihyun asked

I blushed..

"U-Um... I-I.." I said

What do I say?

My mind is blank..

Kihyun got up from his knee and gave me a hug.

"...Kihyun?" I said

Oh.. His face is turning red..

"L-Let's just eat cake" Kihyun said

He didn't mention anything after that. We just went to sleep after eating..

And when I ask him about it, he would change the topic..

Sometimes, I don't understand what's roaming in his mind..

"Jaeryeong! Did you hear what we were talking about?" Yura asked

"Huh? Oh.. Mianhe. What was it?" I asked

Yura sighed.

"We were talking about shopping. Altogether" Dani said

"Again?" I asked

"Just us three though" Yura said

I nodded.

"Alright then. But first, I need to draw out money from the bank. I'm out of money from shopping the other day" I said

"Okay! Yura and I will be waiting at the shopping centre's front entrance. You can meet us there" Dani said

I nodded and headed to the bedroom.

I saw Minhyuk and I.M chatting to each other on my way there.

"Ah. How was yesterday?" I.M asked

"Yesterd--Oh. Um.. It was good" I smiled

I.M gave me a thumbs up.

"It was good huh?" Minhyuk said

I stared at him..

"N-Neh.." I said

Minhyuk sighed then stood up from his seat.

"I guess you had fun.." Minhyuk said as he walked into the bedroom

"What's wrong with Minhyuk?" I asked

"Jaeryeong... Minhyuk likes you remember? Ever since he heard about what happened yesterday, he was upset. Or should I say.. He wanted to celebrate your birthday as well" I.M said

Oh... I see..

"I'll go talk to him" I said

I entered the room and saw Minhyuk in bed.

"Minhyuk--" I said

"Happy Birthday" Minhyuk said

"Oh.. Um. Kumawo" I said

There was a silence...

I wanted to speak up but Minhyuk sighed.

"Jaeryeong, I... I need you to do something for me" Minhyuk said

"What is it?" I asked

Minhyuk made a sad yet doubtful expression...

"I... I want you to forget my confession to you" Minhyuk said

My eyes widened..

I don't know what to say..

"U-Um... Okay.." I said

Minhyuk gave me a faint smile.

"Kumawo. I just want to say... I really enjoyed the times being with you and... loving you. However, I decided to move on ever since I did that.." Minhyuk said

Ever since what?

"Did what?" I asked

Minhyuk smiled.

"You'll know eventually" Minhyuk said

"I see.. I enjoyed being with you too. This might come out a little selfish but I hope we can continue being bestfriends" I smiled

Minhyuk chuckled.

"You don't need to state the obvious" Minhyuk said

I smiled

"Neh. I gotta go now. Yura and Dani is probably waiting at the shops for me" I said

"Alright then.. See you later" Minhyuk said

As I grabbed my purse and jacket, I waved goodbye to Minhyuk.

I exited the room and bumped into Kihyun.

"Jaeryeong? Where are you going?" Kihyun asked

"Shopping" I said

"Let me tag along too~" Kihyun said

"You can't. I'm hanging out with the girls" I said

"Yeah so?" Kihyun pouted

"Stay home, play with the boys. I'm gonna head to the bank first then go shopping. We'll be back before dinner" I said as I headed to the door

Kihyun grabbed my hand before I could exit.

"I feel worried for you Jaeryeong" Kihyun said

"I'll be fine. I'll be with 2 demons. What could go wrong?" I said

Kihyun still looked quite worried.

I sighed and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"I'm going now. Annyeong" I said

Kihyun nodded shyly.

Aish... This traffic..

I took out my phone to text the girls.

[To Yura:

There's traffic on the road so I'll be coming late. Go ahead and eat first then wait for me at the entrance.

I got a reply back..

I feel like breaking my phone..

I sighed.

The taxi finally reached the bank and I got off.

I entered the place and waited as I lined up.

I wonder what Kihyun's up to...

I took out my phone to text him.

<BANG>

My eyes widened..

KIHYUN POV

"Start in 3,2...1!" I said

Wonho and I.M started gulping down the coca-cola cans.

Who's gonna win? Who's gonna win?

Wonho smacked down the empty can onto the table.

"The winner is Wonho!!!" I shouted

"Aish! Whatever. I don't care anymore" I.M said as he placed down the half-drank coke can

Wonho burped.

I.M glared at him.

"You wanna go?" I.M asked as he burped longer

"Yah! What's this? Is this another competition? Alrighty then! MC Kihyun back in business" I said

"This is stupid. I don't even understand why I'm just sitting here and watching you guys chug and burp" Minhyuk said

"Be quiet! You're nothing but the audience!" I.M said

"BOO~ Get out of here! So ruuddde!" Minhyuk booed

"Pwahaha! The audience hates you" Wonho laughed

"The audience is getting fired up with hate. What's going to happ--" I said

[SAVE ME KIHYUN!]

My eyes widened..

I stood up from my seat..

"What's wrong Kihyun?" Minhyuk asked

"I... I heard Jaeryeong's voice.." I said

"Doesn't that always happen?" I.M asked

"No.. What she said was strange. She's calling for help.." I said

Wait a minute...

Don't tell me..

FLASHBACK

["Kihyun, you know what situation you're in don't you? You're the Next King. Many demons are after your head. They'll love to be in your position"]

"...I know" I said

["Yet you made this contract with Jaeryeong? What if you get injured? Badly injured? Jaeryeong will be sharing your pain as well"]

"I've consider it and made a choice. I'm going to protect Jaeryeong at all cost. I won't make her be in pain ever again" I vowed

["...You better. Otherwise you'll know what will happen"]

"...Neh" I said

"I need to leave. Now" I said

"I'll come with you--" Minhyuk said

"NO. IT'S DANGEROUS. This isn't something a human can handle!" I shouted

I ran out of the house and got a lift from a taxi.

"Do you know any bank that's nearby?" I asked

"Oh neh. It should be the--" The Taxi driver said

"TAKE ME THERE! QUICKLY!" I shouted

"N-Neh!" The Taxi driver replied

This is the worst timing because I don't know the place so I can't teleport...

AISH! Why now?!
