" Chapter 9 - Let Me Carry You "

Athanasia's Perspective:

I woke up with a smile on my face.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, then suddenly we heard Helena screaming.

We heard a loud scream coming from the bathroom, we immediately ran over to see what happened.

"What's wrong?!" Cass asked worriedly, then laughed when she saw Helena's face.

"What's that on your face!!" Agnis laughed.

"Well look at your face!!!" Helena pointed.

"What's wrong with my fa-- WHAT?!" Agnis stared at her face in horror.

They all looked at the mirror and screamed, while I laughed at them at the door. They all turned and glared at me, "ATHY!!!" Before they grabbed me I ran outside still laughing, I should've bought my phone!!

"Gotcha!!" Cass caught me by the arm and pinned me on my bed.

"What do we do now?" Jenny asked, then I saw Helena's hand full of markers, smirking at me.

"No!!" I struggled to get out of their grasp but can't. Helena was about to draw my face then luckily someone barged in.

"Oi, sleepyhead! We're going to-- What are you doing?"

We turned and saw Lucas standing at my door staring at us in confusion. The girls except Jennette squealed and covering their face in embarrassment.

Hah! That's what you get for pinning me!!

I sat up and said, "What are you doing here?"

"Your mom told me to walk to school together, and wake you up, but you have your friends, so I'm just gonna go ahead," Lucas said then turned his back, walking away.

Agnis grabbed me and said, "Let him stay!"

"What do you mean?!" I said and flinched as I saw the three glaring at me.

I sighed, why do want a jerk like him?

I ran downstairs leaving the girls washing their face full of scribbles.

"Lucas!!" I called, he was about to hold the doorknob leading outside then turned and looked at me.

"What?" He asked in an annoyed voice.

"Let's go together!" I said, smiling awkwardly.

He looked at me for a second and said, "No way, I'll be hanging out with my friends, and I don't want to be walking together with your girl friends."

"O-okay....?" I tilted my head, then he left without a word. When he left the house the girls came running downstairs assuming that Lucas is still here.

They didn't yelled at me first but when we we're outside walking towards to school they whined at me for not stopping Lucas while I was hiding behind Jenny.

As we got in to our school we parted ways and walked towards our classroom.

"Good morning..." Jenny and I greeted our classmates as we walked in to our room. We started to work for our theme and adding something on the walls.

"Athy, how about we put flowers on the table?" Rina suggested. We we're now planning of what will be the design for our table.

"Well, we don't have any money to buy it and also the vase too," I sighed, staring at our budget.

"Then how about we use plastic bottles as a vase?" Jenny said, showing the plastic bottle on her hand.

"Then the flowers?" Rina asked.

"Let's just plastic bottle as well for the flowers and paint it with any color," I said tapping my chin, "It's perfect!"

"Then what kind of style to use for the table cloth," Rina asked.

"Hmmm.. Let me see.. gathered? No... knife.. just use... Box pleats," I said.

"Okay," Rina scribbled on her notes and ran to the table skirting group followed by Jenny and showed the design.

I stretched my arms and sighed, "What's next?"

"Athy! We need some help here!" A classmate called.

"Yes!" I replied and ran towards them, "What's the problem?"

"Well we were gonna tie up the lights, but it's just the two of us..." Cabel said.

"Oh, okay. Let's finish this so we can help the others," I said, picking up the lights in the box. But then someone stopped and held my hand and said, "I will help them.."

"Lucas.. You said you're gonna hangout with your friends?" I said, shaking my hand off him.

"And you listened to that kind of lie? I'm just helping out the others here, but you didn't notice my precence.." He mumbled the last part but I still heard it.

"Hmph! I can still work so just go over there and help the others!" I said.

"Just go and rest, don't push yourself helping them, you've worked plenty enough," He said and flicked my forehead.

"No!! I can still help and I want to help so just go and help the others!" I said stubbornly.

He looked like he's gonna yell at me but he turn around and muttered something.

Yeah! Go and sulk over there!! Cause I don't care!!

After hours of work, we're still not close of finishing the room. I am now almost at my limit just because I worked nonstop just to perfect this theme.

I am now staggering and almost dropped the box full of decorations. I almost tripped but Lucas caught me and said, "You're so stubborn.. Didn't I tell you not to push yourself?"

I pushed him away and said, "No, this is nothing..."

He sighed and carried me in a bridal style, dropping the box I'm holding and told everyone that I'm gonna rest for a while.

"What are you doing?! Let me go!!" I said, pushing him as I struggled to let go.

"Nope, and if I want too, you'll be saying hello to the floor..." He said.

"There are people watching!" I covered my face in embarrassment as the students watched us walking in the hallway.

"What's the problem with that? Do you want me to explain it to them?" He looked at the people around and start chanting, "I'm just taking her to the infirmary! I'm just taking her to the infirmary! I'm jus-- mhf!"

I immediately covered his mouth, "Stop it!! It's more embarrassing!!" I exclaimed as I blushed furiously. Then I felt something wet, "What are you doing?!" I exclaimed at him. Did he just licked my hand?!

"Ah, so noisy!" He said.

Then why don't you let me go?!

"I don't want to.." He mumbled.

"What?"

"Nothing..." Then he walked quickly.

"Slow down!" I said and hugged him by the neck.

"Nope.."

"Listen to me will you!!"
