" Chapter 10 - Infirmary "

As we got into the infirmary, the school nurse checked up on me and said, "You got a fever.. It's better if you would rest for a few hours, then you'll be okay."

"But..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say.

How about the theme...?

"Luckily, someone noticed and brought you here, or you'll be collapsing at any second," The nurse said, eyeing at Lucas. She then gathered her things and left to get some medicine.

"I'm gonna go now and you.." He pointed at me, "Get some rest, I'll be maintaining them so don't worry," He ruffled my head and left the room.

Ah! You ruined my hair!

"Oh! Where's the young man?" The nurse walked towards me and gave me a medicine.

"He left..." I replied as I took my medicine. The nurse told me to sleep so followed her instructions and lie myself on the bed and closed my eyes slowly.

'Athanasia...'

I woke up, looking at the plain white ceiling. Slowly, I sat up, touching my forehead.

What a dream...

It was a just a man with long black robes, with his raven colored hair tied up in a pony tail, and a pair of familiar ruby eyes, but there's something in him that like I've known for a long time.

Ugh.. My head hurts...

"Hrm.."

I flinched and saw Lucas sleeping, his head leaning on my bed with his hands supporting him. I looked at him and I unconsciously brushed his hair with my hand making him to wake up, ruby eyes staring at mine.

Oh, snap!

Our faces are very close right now! I moved back but he's still looking at me. Somehow, he looked relieved.

Hey.. Are you done staring?!

He sat up and said, "Has your fever subsided?"

"Yeah.. Is the decorations going smoothly?" I asked.

"Yeah, well it's kinda hard leading all 38 classmates in groups at a time..." He said and yawned tiredly.

"Did you help them?" I asked again.

"Most of the time, yeah," He replied.

I sighed in relief, I thought something bad will happen if I give this job to him, but he did it pretty good. I am really thankful right now.

"Lucas, thank you..." I smiled at him, then he just looked at me and said, "Hah! The more I think about it, the more unfair it is."

"Huh?" I think I've heard that line before.

Ack!! My head is starting to hurt again.. everytime he said something familiar my head starts to hurt.. I don't know why.... even though it hurts, I keep my composure looked normal.

"I've been taking care of you like walking to school, helping with your projects and you didn't even paid me back some," He pouted.

"Then what do you want? Do you want me to treat you?" I asked but he didn't reply. He looked like he was expecting something.

"Do want me to treat you some food tomorrow?" I asked but then he looked at me with disappointing eyes.

W-what?

"I was expecting something good..." He muttered then he forced a smile and said, "But food is okay."

What's more good than food?

"Let's go home, you're dad must be here," He stood up.

"Okay... But my bag?" I said as I got out of the bed. He turned and tossed my bag to me.

"Oh! By the way your friends came here to visit you an hour ago," He slid the door open and let me out first.

"What did they say?" I asked, turning back at him.

"Nothing much but they gave you some sweets... and I ate all of it.." He smirked.

"What?! Why did you eat it?! They're mine!!" I exclaimed and hit his head with my bag, but he dodged it so easily.

"What's yours, is mine..." He muttered.

"What?!" I said not hearing what he said because I'm busy beating him up.

"Hey, stop it!! You're gonna crush allthe sweets they gave you!!" He said.

"Huh?!" I sniffed.

Then a moment of silence then suddenly he laughed at me, "Do.. Do you really think I would eat it!!!"

He just laughed and laughed until I snap and smack him on the head, "You jerk!!!"

"Ow, ow!! Stop it!!" He covered his head with his hands then suddenly and unexpectedly he pinned me on the wall.

Woah, woah, woah!!! How did this happened.

I was just hitting him and whooosh!! It end up like this!!

"Uhm...." I looked away.

He's too close!!

"Sia..." He whispered.

I still did not looked at him, then he hold my chin softly and turned it towards me. Ruby meeting sapphire. I feel my face heat up... Then he move closely and closely.

Stop!! Stop!!

But he didn't stop and about to close his eyes, so I closed my eyes involuntarily then..

*BONK!*

Huh....?

Did he just bump his forehead with mine?!

I opened my eyes and saw him holding back his laughter, "Pfft!! I can't take this anymore!!" Then he started laughing at me, and let go of my arms, "Did you think I was gonna do something to you?!"

"N-no, no I don't!!" I yelled at him, covering my face in embarrassment.

Waaaah!! That was so embarassing!!

Why did I think that he was gonna... K-k-k-k-kiss me?! And why did I freaking close my eyes?!

Ugh.... I wanna dug myself in to a hole...

He was still laughing at me then I snapped, "Go ahead!! Laugh until you die jerk head!!! I'm gonna leave you now!!!" I turned and walked quickly, stomping my feet.

"Hey!! Sia, I'm just kidding!!!" He said, running after me then followed my pace.

"Kidding your face!!!" I huffed at him, not looking at him.

Then he hugged me behind my back stopping me.

I swear, I'm gonna-

I still kept walking, with him dragging behind me.

"Let go, you're heavy!!" I exclaimed.

"No!!" He pouted.

When did you act like a child?!

"Ugh!!! Okay, okay I not angry anymore!!" I said, forcing a smile.

"You're not?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"I'm not really!!" Still smiling.

"I don't believe you..." He pouted.
