5/Keep It A Secret

Y/n is walking freely without any tense around her back. Thinking, 'Why did she turn out like that? No, why wasn't she there by my side at that time..'

While walking to nowhere, you heard a man shouting at someone.

"Hey. Could you tell May to get these handcuffs unlocked? I'm here to do business with her." Ran said.

The man guarding him kept silent, not moving a muscle.

"Are you deaf? I said I'm here to do business with May." Ran said, getting angry.

The same thing happened. He was simply ignored by this person.

After a few minutes of silence, the man suddenly fell to the ground.

"Huh..?" Ran said quietly.

He then looked at the back as he heard someone walking towards him.

"Y/n?"

"Uhh.. why am I here again? Right, I'm just passing by." you said, still mad at him.

"Did you do that? How?" the handcuffed man asked.

"I learned a lot living in the streets. You know, those guys near my secret area." you answered.

"Uh..huh. Do you know where May is?" Ran responded.

"I don't know. Probably out there having a rampage." you replied.

"Rampage? Look, I wanna know what you're planning to your sister." he said.

You quickly put a sharp glass shard at the side of his neck, close enough to make a small cut on it.

"Y-Y/n..?" he said, moving his eyes slowly to the side where your hand is.

"Ran.. I'm still thinking if I should help you or not. I can't decide ever since you said to cut off the deal." you said.

You continued, "It's the first time I had someone to help me in years. The only time I opened up to someone but look what I got in the end."

"You should leave, Ms. Y/n. Hurry before it's too late." Ran said with a serious face.

"No. I still have to ki-.. Nevermind. I guess I should take my leave." you responded.

"Good. Don't worry, I won't tell May about our interactions here." he said, forming a small smile on his lips.

"Bye, Ran Haitani." you said then left him alone, still handcuffed to the long chains attached to the ceiling.

"M'lady.. Uhm, excuse me." Drey said, pausing for a few seconds after witnessing May continuously stabbing one of her men.

He approached May and slowly held her hand, stopping her movement.

"Oh, it's you. What are you doing here? Didn't I order you to find Y/n?" May said, out of her mind.

"Yes. About that, I found Bren lying cold on the ground near Mr. Ran." he replied.

"He's dead? How.. Oh. Have you caught sight of her?"

"Unfortunately, no but I'm sure Ms. Y/n is still around the area." Drey answered.

"Hmp. You're so reliable, Drey. I'm glad I found you." May said, finally showing some emotions.

Drey looked down, smiling then spoke, remembering something. "Mr. Ran said he wants to talk to you."

"Oh? Alright then. I'll go see him." she said.

At Y/n's POV:

'Maybe I should save him after all. Ugh, he's just an old man like that dumb father.'

'Thinking about it.. he did actually help me find May. Yeah, I should go back.'

Ran felt a tap on his shoulder. "Mr. Ran. As you requested, M'lady is here to have a chat with you."

"Ah.. mhm."

"Nice to meet you.. Haitani. I suppose you didn't kill one of my men, right?" May said.

"I wouldn't dare. Besides, I wanted to talk business with you. About the code:black." Ran replied.

"Hmm? Really. Before we go with that, have you seen my little sister? We had a small argument a while ago and she just ran off." she responded.

"Was it really just a small argument? With blood stains on your clothes?" Ran said, raising one eyebrow.

"I just thought you were in a hurry to meet me so I didn't bother to change." she said with an annoyed tone.

'Huh? May is here?! What are they talking about?' you eavesdropped on them, hiding somewhere close enough to hear.

"Hah. Actually, Y/n came to see me. We had a small conversation too. Hmm, but I don't think you wanna hear it." he said.

"Spit it out!" she said, pulling his collar.

"Woah. Ms. May, no need to be aggressive. She said she wanted to kill you, to erase you from this world." Ran said, smirking.

"It was me she wanted to kill..? Are you lying to me?" May said in shock.

"Why would I lie about that? Give me one good reason to not tell the truth to you." he replied, smiling like a devil.

May realized it now, making her feel angrier than before at you.

"M'lady! I have found Ms. Y/n over here!" Drey spoke loudly.

"Ugh! Stop dragging me!" you shouted.

"Y/n..." May whispered.
