6/Running Away

"Bring her over to me." May said.

While the servant was dragging you closer to May, you passed by Ran who betrayed you.

As a result, you glared and mouthed at him "You lied to me."

Ran picked up what you said but didn't have any reaction.

"Here you go, m'lady. Your little sister, Y/n." Drey said.

Sitting helpless on the ground, May crouched down to your level and asked, "Do you really wish to go against me?"

"And do you think I care?" you questioned back.

"I.. see. How come your little brain can't get the meaning of the word sorry? Didn't I already apologize to you?" May said, eyes are angry yet she shows a smile.

"An apology isn't enough, May. Why can't your little brain get what that means!" you replied.

"Y/n, you know that I'm apologizing with sincerity. I mean it with the bottom of my heart." May said, now frowning.

"Like I said, an apology isn't enough. Even if you say sorry to me how many times you want, I just can't forgive you! So just stop it already." you said.

May gave you a soft embrace which made your heart ache.

"Why..? Where were you?" you said, sobbing.

She didn't answer your question. You then felt like your body giving up, falling unconscious. It was May's doing.

"Go take a rest for now, little sis." yor twin sister whispered to your ear.

As soon as May put you down gently on the ground, she was forcefully kicked on the back by Ran.

He quickly picked you up and ran away from the angered lady.

"Get your dirty hands off my sister!" she screamed.

"Drey? Drey!" May said loudly.

Her servant was on the ground, knocked out. 'This man is an expert. I have a plan.'

"Y/n. Ms. Y/n! Wake up, please!" Ran shouted.

'Damn those handcuffs. My wrists hurt. Tch.' he thought, still running and carrying you.

He kept running and running until he reached outside the huge dark building. There wasn't any place to run as the only thing that met him was the ocean underneath where they are standing currently.

"R-Ran..? Is that you?" you slowly woke up, vision a bit blurry.

"Good! You're awake." Ran said in joy.

"Could you put me down? And where are we?" you asked.

Ran gently put you down and said, "Outside that horrible underground. I don't know where May is so be prepared."

"May is finding me again?" you said.

"Well, basically I stole you from her." he replied.

"Huh? Why did you do that? You betrayed me back there!" you said, clenching your hand.

"It was to distract your sister. I didn't mean to lie to you." he explained.

"What is your real goal here? I thought you were at May's side." you said, crossing your arms.

"Don't you dare say anything, Haitani!" May screamed in anger.

You and Ran both looked at her shocked and confused.

"Why are you wearing the same clothes as mine?" you asked, finding her suspicious.

"What are you saying? Twins are always like this, right?" she said, coming towards you slowly.

"Y/n, she herself is a part of the code:black. I came here to eliminate her. The same as your own goal." Ran responded.

"Hey.. stop it." May said.

He continued, "The code:black has caused nothing but trouble. They do the nastiest thing that a human could never commit."

"I said stop it! Shut up!" May screamed and screamed but was only ignored.

"Why are you acting like this, May? Are you hiding something?" you asked.

May was running fast towards Ran's direction. Before she could tackle the man, you came in and pushed her to the ocean. Both of you dropped in the deep cold body of water.

"Y/n!" Ran said as he went to the edge of the railing.

Ran was about to jump in to save you but a person came out of the water, gasping for air to breathe.

"Y/n! You're Y/n, right?" he asked as he helped the lady get to the land.

"Yeah. Who else?"

Ran took off his blazer and placed it on Y/n's shoulder, adding more clothing to her body.

"Let's get out of here, shall we?" he asked, handing out his hand for Y/n to hold onto.

Y/n held his hand firmly and nodded.

"Let's leave this place."
