Chapter 39

Hana's POV

Crowley stood in front of a door, ready to open it. Behind that door would be the murderers of my friends. He opened it and Horn met us. She bowed slightly towards Crowley before exiting the room, pretending I wasn't even there. The door shuts softly behind me and I turn back around to see who she had been guarding. In the middle of the room were multiple vampires chained and bound, both to each other and to the sturdy concrete walls. They would probably be able to break the chains if they weren't made of the special metal I realized, the same material the vampires used in their own weapons. It doesn't have a demon in it but it's effective against vampires nonetheless.I take a few steps forward, looking at each and every one of them. They either don't look at me or stare at me in disgust. When Crowley comes to stand next to me however they all bow their heads.

That's what power was like, real power. I would be lying to myself if I didn't admit I was a bit envious of Crowley's aura on the other vampires.

I looked at them, flashbacks to last year swirled through my head. I recognized all of them.I looked up at Crowley and gave him a curt nod. "It's them. All of them were involved." I tell him.He hums in acknowledgment and a small smile spreads in his face, on of his sharp teeth sticking out. He looks all of them over.Without looking at me he asks."Where do you want to start little mouse?"

I looked back at the vampires. They were looking at us again, but this time in fear. To my surprise they weren't begging for their lives, or saying anything for that matter. Crowley did say he had been occupying them while I was unconscious, what had he done to them?

"I'll start with the foot soldiers and end with the nobles." I tell him. I watched him carefully has I said it, curious to see if he would react at me stating that I was going to kill vampire nobles. But he didn't even react, he only said

"Excellent choice. Here you go."

I look down to his hands. He has the hilt of his sword outstretched to me.

He is really going to give me a weapon that is able to kill vampires? And his only weapon at that?

I gulped slightly and took the sword. It's weight was surprisingly heavy in my hands. I wouldn't be able to use it as efficiently and fast as I have seen Crowley use it. If I am to kill him with it I need to do it from behind, so he wouldn't have time to dodge it.

I walk over to the other vampires instead. They try to scramble back but their chains hold them in place. It felt nice to be feared by them, to be the one with more power than them. I stab them one by one through the heart, clean and fast blows that kill them instantly, some scream in fear, some pray, some are silent while I do it. I start killing them off by cutting of their heads instead. Then I try a more creative way and start to cut of all their limbs before finally killing them with the sword to the heart. The more vampires I kill the more brutal I get. I've practiced enough with the sword now that I feel that I can more comfortably wield it.

I finally kill the last of the foot soldiers and turn to look at the two nobles. They looked scared shitless. The older one is pleading Crowley for mercy.I turn to look at Crowley, he is just standing there where I left him. Arms crossed over his chest and a small satisfied smile plastered on his face. He almost looked proud of me?

He was really letting me do whatever I want with them, his own kind.I wanted to test how much more power I could wield over him and turned to Crowley.

"Could you please leave us. I wish to do this without an audience." I ask him. Testing if he was going to comply to my request. Letting me kill his kind and giving me his own weapon was one thing, I wanted to see if he would do anything I asked of him. If so, maybe I could ask for another meeting with Guren. I needed to talk to him about our plan and how I think it will probably not end well.

He looks at me in surprise but smiles even bigger."Sure, I'll just be outside little mouse. Call if you need anything." He says and without much more fuss he leaves the room, closing the door behind him.

I take a deep inhale. This went even better than anticipated. Crowley seems to want to do anything I ask of him. If it's that mating bond or himself that makes him this obedient towards me I don't know. But it also gives me the chills to imagine that same bond making me do all his bidding as well if I let it faster much more.

I need to get out of here as soon as possible.

I finally turned around to the two nobles.

But first I have some business I need to finish.

I take my sweet time torturing them both and take advantage of their quick healing ability. I start off with the younger one, the one who had crushed Tomo's head between the ground and his boot. I wished I could do the same to him but only a vampire could be strong enough to do such a horrific act. But it didn't matter anymore. I had dreamed of all the ways I would end their lives and now it was finally time. I cut, I pierced and slashed the younger vampire with the sword. He screamed in agony. I waited for his wounds to heal before doing it all over again.

He started begging for mercy, for forgivness. It felt good to have a vampire at my mercy. I was for a moment slightly concerned that Crowley would barge in and stop me, maybe having changed his mind when hearing his fellow nobles scream, but he never entered.

I don't know how long I had been cutting the younger vampire but I started to feel tired of swinging the heavy sword and finally I ended his life by piercing him through the skull, he dissapeared into ash.

I turned to the other noble. He had managed to compose himself while I had been torturing his companion. He didn't seem afraid of me anymore. He just sat there on the ground looking at his boots with empty eyes. Vlad was his name.

"Do you remember me?" I suddenly asked. I hadn't spoken a single word since Crowley left and my voice seemed to shake Vlad out of his trance.

His eyes went up to mine, blood red and tired.

"I do not." He answers calmly.

I take a step towards him and plunge the blade into his calf. He hisses but doesn't scream. I started twisting the blade, slowly.

He grunts, but still doesn't scream.

"You must remember." I say calmly. I am suprised at how calm my voice sounds becuase inside I am screaming, raging, crying.

"Your friend had just killed my comrade by crushing his head with his boot. Your men had started feasting on my other two friends and you were heading towards me, your blade in hand ready to kill me off quickly." I tell him the story that has been replying in my head almost every night since the attack.

I pull out the blande and plunge it into his other calf, twisting it again. I had managed to hit a vital muscle this time. He starts panting heavily, biting his lip so hard that blood starts dripping our of his mouth. I twist a little more and he finally lets out a cry of agony.

I smile.

"You were running up to me, ready to pierce me. But my last living comrade jumped in front of me. You killed him." I continue. He looks at me, trying to remmeber my face.

I pull out the sword again. His other calf is already almost healed but this time I plunge the blade into his stomach, not a killing blow but painful non the less. He lets out a scream.

"His name was Kenji. He was a dear friend of mine." I go on.

Vlad is crying now. "I-I am sorry for what I did to yo-ou" he says in a paniced and breathless voice between grunts.

I pull out the blade once more and stare at him.

"I don't need your apology blood sucker. I want you to apologise to my friend Kenji." I tell him.

He immidietly starts spurting out apologies to Kenji. Telling him how sorry he was for killing him, that he hadn't meant to do it, that he would take it back if he could.

I give Vlad a wicked smile. He looks up at me, fear and pain evident in his expression, but also hope. If he is hoping that I will let him live now that he has apologised to Kenji then he is mistaken.

I finally plunge the blade straight in between his eyes and he turns to ash.
