Chapter 9: Thinking

Hiccup said that they would leave for Berk in the morning the next day. Gobber agreed because they did just get here.

As the sun hid in the horizon behind the clouds that fill the sky, the moon came from hiding, glowing in the sky.

The teens built a fire as Hiccup sat further away, sitting by a tree, not knowing what to do.Gobber had said that he could join, but Hiccup didn't want to intrude. The teens tried so hard but it was no use.

Hiccup understood why they wanted him to go join them but he had things to worry and think about. He kept thinking about the Dragon nest and worrying about his Father's reaction to when he came back to Berk.Not only to Hiccup's return, but to the news about the Dragon nest and if he would listen to Hiccup.

Would his father be disapointed that he left the day before he slays a dragon? Would he be mad? What?

Hiccup doesn't think his ftaher missed him at all but little does he know is that his father missed him the most out of everyone.

Moments passed before it was comepletly dark outside and the only thing that could be seen were the teens, Gobber, and the fire. Hiccup was till sitting by a tree, and just watching the teens and Gobber talking. Hiccup wishes that if he were to join, that things would't be awkward. But after five years, you miss out on a lot. It would be odd for Hiccup just sitting there, listening and not saying anything.

Hiccup doesn't want it to be awkward but times are going to come when times are awkward.

Hiccup stands up and walks over to his bud. "Come on bud. Lets head back to the cabin." He whispers to his dragon. He gets up and walks back with his rider. They are quite so nobody notices that they are leaving.

Astrid sees them walking and she decides to follow to see what they are doing. Because it is so dark out that nobody notices.

When they are hidden in the trees, she loses track of where Hiccup and the black beast went and went back. 

She keeps thinking about Hiccup. What has gotten into her? Does she like Hiccup? If she does, how could she not of see it before? 

She now feels terrible for how she treated him five years ago. She feels awful. She was awful to Hiccup. He would never like her back after all those times when she would be close to murdering him. What is she going to do?
