Chapter 15

 The two boys had only been officially together for about two hours and the only way they addressed each other were pet names. It was sickeningly sweet, their smiles and soft murmurs of adoration to one another. To any passing person they could see love written on the two boy's faces. The sun seemed to shine just a little bit brighter, the bird's songs were sung a bit sweeter, and the two boys found themselves falling faster for one another as each second ticked by. Sam felt as if he was in heaven and Colby found he wished the day would never end. Both drunk on their own happiness and love they were still too afraid to admit out loud. They sat basking in the light as the boy hidden in the shadows slowly turned to walk away trying not to wretch at the sight of the two lovers. 

 Matt Rangers can't tell you why he hates Sam Golbach. Much like how Colby instantly adored him, the moment Matt laid eyes on Sam he hated his guts. Matt knew he was a dense guy but even a blind guy could tell that no one ever looked Sam's way. A perfect target for the dumb boy to pick on. Matt never did anything to drastic to Sam, maybe a punch here and there, but mostly just threw harsh words his way making Matt feel a littler bit taller and stronger for the day. He enjoyed the destruction of Sam's self confidence and he could never understand why. Maybe it was because destruction was the only thing he was good at or maybe he just didn't have any morals. Matt looked up to Colby the very first of school. He was everything he wanted to be. Much like Sam, at first Matt despised him but grew to him in less than hour. He was calm, cool, collected, smart, and had everyone worshiping the ground he walked on, even the Blue Valley teachers. He then noticed the way he looked at Golbach, that hopeless gleam in his eye, it was gross, sickening, despicable and most of all a sin. From that moment Matt swallowed his admiration for the boy and knew he had to act. It was only a coincidence that Matt happened to see them on their date. He was just taking a walk when he saw the two walking and he happened to follow him. He always seemed to carry a camera around because secretly Matt loved photography but the world would never know. The moment he saw them kiss he knew he had to destroy it, the sinful path they were walking down. He called it operation Colby, he wanted things to go back to the way they were, Sam alone and Colby back to his real bad ass self. He had a plan, full proof because even though he was dumb he knew a thing or two about how to ruin relationships. Turning away from the snuggling couple he went in search of Macy Reynolds. 

 Macy Reynolds was a sweet girl who made an occasional dumb decisions. One of them was asking Matt Rangers for a ride home, the poor girl's car broke down and had no way to contact her parents at the time, the only person around was Matt. But Rangers never did anything with out a price and now she was in his debt. She was a cute girl with short caramel brown hair, bright green eyes, and freckles dashed across her nose. She was petite, kind, and most of all smart. So when Matt Rangers approached her with his idea she had to hold back a yell of protest too afraid to decline and get hurt. To be honest most kids at Blue Valley had no problem with the picture of the infamous Colby Brock and Sam Golbach kissing, in fact they could all clearly see the love that flowed out of the picture, it was only a select few who brought it out of proportion like Matt Rangers. Everyone knew who Sam Golbach was they just pretended they didn't. Everyone knew how kind and smart he was but no one ever spoke up for the poor boy every one too afraid of Matt's fists and too afraid to lose what ever little popularity they had left to befriend the loner. So when Colby came along and the school could see his attraction to him most of the school cheered him on silently, and almost celebrated when he lost his cocky demeanor and got rid of his leather jacket. Practically the whole school was cheering the on, betting on when they would get together. They were the schools talk, people carefully avoiding the discussion when near Matt and others who thought just like him. So Macy plead and plead with Matt t pick anything else, to let the boys have their own happy ending, to look past the 'sin' and at the obvious love that swirled in their eyes but he refused threatening with his fists. Macy gave in, dread filling her stomach. It was going to be essentially her fault when Matt's plan goes into effect. She was going to break the moon and the sea whether she wanted to or not. 

 "Colbs? what will we do about tomorrow?" Sam asked Colby as he leaned on his shoulder, his breathing even and calm. Colby only shrugged his shoulders, "Honestly I don't know, Love. I guess we just go in there with our heads held high and our hands latched together. Show them that they can't break us. We may have just got together Sam but I feel like we have known each other our whole lives and that we have already faced the world together, so what is a little high school drama? We have each other and that is all that matters. I lo- I adore you Sammy." Colby finished as Sam leaned in to kiss the brunette's cheek, a small smile on his lips, "I adore you to Colby." 

A/N: I obviously took a break yesterday so I hope this chapter makes up for it. Let me know in the comments what you think Matt's plan is and what part Macy plays in it? Also I want to start a thing where I ask you guys a question each chapter, So if you had to choose who would you hug first if you got to meet them, Sam or Colby? I would hug Colby first only because I feel like he would give really good hugs. ~Nightmare
