Chapter 15~ Memories
13:01, 22 June 2016ATTENTION EVERYONE!!!I'm changing the 1st chapter completely so go and read it again! I really apologize for that, believe me I do.
Anyway, I'm really exited about this chapter and I hope everyone will like it. It's like the biggest deal I ever was up to. And it's also the longest, so sorry for that too.
Okay. *big breath in* RAISE THE CURTAINS!.....
~~~~
I lied in my room in the TARDIS, looking at the ceiling, which I actually didn't have: instead there were stars above me. The TARDIS probably knew how much I loved the stars, so she gave me a bedroom with no ceiling. It would appear if I needed it though.
So I lied, looking up and barely blinking and thinking of nothing. Time was going by and it seemed like there passed an hour since I left the console room. Since Amy kissed the Doctor.
I sighed, closing my eyes and smashing a pillow on my face. I rested there for a couple of minutes with the pillow on top of me, staring stupidly in it.
Suddenly I wondered what time it was so I pulled the fluffy-thing off of my face and looked at the clock on my nightstand. It barely passed 15 minutes...
I threw it the most hateful glare I could. Then fell on the bed again, facing the spacy-wacy sky.
The problem was that I didn't know how I felt. I wasn't sad, wasn't mad... Perhaps a mix of it? Or probably a bit shocked? I didn't know... It was just that I felt something towards the Doctor. Something I couldn't describe. Something... I couldn't remember. That feeling was the same I felt years ago when I saw him with that girl.
I still didn't know why but I didn't know who she was. Even if I tried hard I couldn't remember her face. I tried many times to do it but never succeeded. I wonder what her name was...
I sighed again, this time in annoyance. I was getting really bored by doing nothing.
I hated it when I didn't know how I felt.
Whenever I'm sad I imagine a t-Rex trying to put on a hat. I smirked as I thought of it and already felt better.
I slowly sat down on the edge, rocking my legs back and forth and watching them. I overreacted. I mean, I knew the Doctor didn't like Amy in that way, but it still gave me a bit of a... A bit of that weird feeling.
So I sighed again and then stood up. I changed in some new clothes (skinny blue jeans, a black none sleeved shirt and some black converse), tied my brownish hair into a long bride and decided to go to the console room.
As I opened the door and exited, I put a hand on the wall and letted the TARDIS guide me to the console room. I proceeded down the hallways, knowing exactly where to turn and where to go, until I turned to the corner and came face to face with the console room.
I looked for any sign of the Doctor or Amy, but saw none of them. I approached to the console itself and walked around slowly, softly running my fingers through the buttons, levers and switches...
I then noticed the Doctor's jacket carefully put on the railing and hanging there, so I guessed the Doctor was nearby. He wouldn't leave the TARDIS without his so loved jacket.
I walked down the stairs running my hand on the railing. «Doctor?» I questioned. I stopped calling him 'Doc' because, in a sort of way, it felt weird now that I knew him in person.
As I reached the underneath console platform room, I saw the Doctor sitting on a swing holding his sonic in a hand and a piece of a... thing, in the other. He looked up at me, causing me jump back slightly. He wore some creepy circle glasses.
«Please take them off, you look creepy.» I told him, still resting a bit back.
«Hey, they're cool, circle glasses are cool.» he told me taking them off letting them hang on his neck.
«I'm sure Harry Potter would share your opinion.» I said approaching him and sitting on the floor, legs crossed.
«Wait till you read book seven. I cried.» he said, sighing.
«Hmm, I personally prefer book 3... What are you doing anyway?» I asked looking at the thing in his hands.
He glanced down at it too. «Oh, TARDIS flight control. It was acting all pushy the last time, so I'm trying to repair it.» he said overturning it in his arms then pointing his sonic on it and starting working again. I nodded while giving a glance around, thinking of an argument.
«Where's Amy?» I asked. Nothing else came to my mind.
«Emm, she said she would take a nap. Funny thing cause I thought you would too, and here. you. are.» as he finished the device he was holding was in his lap and he was looking at me.
I shrugged. «I was bored and I didn't like it. Boredom is not cool.»
«You're right. Not at all.» he said nodding in approval.
A bit of silence followed as I glanced on his neck.
«Neither are the circle glasses.» I then finally said.
«Shut up!» he said. I grinned at him as he took his glasses off and put down the device and the screwdriver.
«Now, come along Smith. We need to do something.» he said as he stood up and handed out both of his hands for me to take.
«What kind of thing?» I asked taking his hands. He pulled me up so we rested an inch away. He looked in my eyes exited. «Fight boredom.» with that he tapped the tip of my nose and ran off, up the stairs.
I followed with a huge smile. I was happy he didn't ask me why did I run off like that, and I already forgot why I was sad.
As I reached the console room I looked at him, pacing around it. «Where are we going?»
He pulled up some levers and switched on some switches. «We need to visit someone.»
I narrowed my eyes. I could feel he was about to do something incredibly stupid. «What are you Bad Time Lord up to?»
He looked at me, a hand on the lever and grinned. «Something incredibly stupid.» he said then pulled the lever.
Rory's pov:
I was on the phone, trying to make myself heard above the noise of my stag party.
All the participants were wearing red t-shirts with my Stag on the back and a picture of Amy and I inside a heart on the front.
She wouldn't pick her phone so I talked to the answerphone.
«Hey! It's me. Hello. How are you? ...The reason for this call is because I haven't told you for seven hours that I love you, which is a scandal, and even if we weren't getting married tomorrow, I'd ask you to marry me anyway... Yes, I would, because you are smashing.» I told her.
Suddenly, the giant pink cake was wheeled in to the tune 'The Stripper'. Oh my god.
«Oh. Oh. Oh, blimey. I've. I've, er got to go. I'll see you tomorrow.» I said and hung up.
Some of my friends -didn't exactly saw who- pushed me forwards.
Everyone started shouting «Out. Out. Out.»
Suddenly a man in a bow tie and a suit bursts out of the fake cake. The silence fell. He looked really familiar.
He searched through the crowd until his eyes fell on me.
«Rory!» he exclaimed «That's a relief. I thought I'd burst out of the wrong cake, again. That reminds me, there's a girl standing outside in a bikini.» he said.
Suddenly a girl burst out too, wearing skinny blue jeans, a none sleeved shirt and a jacket.
Lizzie's pov:
I burst out of the cake too.
«Okay, remind me that I never should listen to you when you tell me to climb in a cake.» I told the Doctor, brushing some dust off of my jacket. I looked up and caught Rory's eyes.
«Rory! Good to see you again!» I exclaimed grinning.
He stared at me in pure shock.
I glanced around, noticing that everyone was wearing a red t-shirts with Rory and Amy inside heart. The last particular was cute.
«Right, what were we talking about? Oh, yes, and about her, could someone let her in and give her a jumper? Lucy? Lovely girl.» I said.
«Diabetic.» the Doctor added.
«Oh, and Doctor what the hell are we doing here?» I hissed at him as I looked around with a smile. He was smiling at everyone too.
«Bringing everything in the universe on the right place, Lizzie.» he half whispered to me.
«There is no such thing as 'right place' if you exist.» I half whispered too.
«You flatter me, Smith.» he said causing me to roll my eyes, smiling though from the corner of my lips. That man. Then clapped his hands smiling ear to ear. «Now then, Rory. We need to talk about your fiancée.»
A grin made the way on Rory's face while mine dropped. Oh, no. He wasn't going to do that, was he?
I tucked the sleeve of his jacket repeatedly, still trying to keep a smile. «Haha Doctor, I don't think it's a good idea to tell him-»
«She tried to kiss me» he said.
A dead silence fell, and Rory's grin dropped a little. My hand fell from his sleeve to my side, and I rested the both of them there.
«Tell you what, though. You're a lucky man. She's a great kisser.» the Doctor continued.
Hmm, why did that one hurt?
«Although I already found my bond for life.» He added.
That one hurt even more. Who was she?
Rory's grin became an angry expression, and I really thought in a moment there would've been a fight.
Someone dropped his beer glass and it smashed on the floor braking the dead silence.
The Doctor noticed that and awkwardly looked around rubbing his thumbs on his fingers as he always did.
I was just staring down, and trying to avoid the glares everyone threw at us.
«Funny how you can say something in your head and it sounds fine.» he said laughing nervously.
I face palmed.
~~~~
The Doctor was hanging underneath the console platform, doing some welding. Rory and Amy were upstairs there while I was sitting on then console and rocking my legs back and forth.
«Oh, the life out there, it dazzles. I mean, it blinds you to the things that are important. I've seen it devour relationships and plans. It's meant to do that. Because for one person to have seen all that, to taste the glory and then go back, it will tear you apart. So, I'm sending you somewhere, together.» the Doctor called from under the console.
«Whoa. What, like a date?» Amy remarked. I still didn't see why Amy would cheat on Rory, he seemed like such a sweet guy.
The Doctor ran up and stared, running around the console «Anywhere you want. Any time you want. One condition. It has to be amazing. The Moulin Rouge in 1890. The first Olympic Games. Think of it as a wedding present, because it's either this or tokens. It's a lot to take in, isn't it? Tiny box, huge room inside. What's that about? Let Lizzie explain.» he said probably noticing I was getting bored by his bubble.
«It's another dimension.» Rory said quicker while I slowly and lazily opened my moth and said «It's basically another dimension.» then frowned «What?» me and the Doctor asked at the same time.
«After what happened with Prisoner Zero, I've been reading up on all the latest scientific theories. FTL travel, parallel universes.» Rory said.
«I like the bit when someone says it's bigger on the inside. I always look forward to that.» The Doctor said.
«I didn't say that.» I told looking at him.
He looked at me «Yes, you did.» he said.
«That; was sarcasm.» I told him.
He walked to me, raised a finger and opened his mouth to snap something smart, but there was nothing. I gave him a 'go on look'.
He closed his mouth and threw me a playful glare «Shut up.» he said, running off, making me grin.
Amy sighed, probably annoyed by mine and the Doctor's little conversation. «So, this date. I'm kind of done with running down corridors. What do you think, Rory, Lizzie?» she asked looking at me.
I opened my mouth to say something but the Doctor interrupted «How about somewhere romantic?» he said and pulled the lever.
As the TARDIS stopped shaking, I ran to the doors and opened them. The TARDIS landed in the middle of the busy area, not even trying to hide. Venice.
«Venice.» I told them grinning as the Doctor joined me by my side.
There was a beautiful view of the campanile of San Marco and the Basilica, across a very wide canal with moored gondolas in the foreground.
«Venezia. La Serenissima. Impossible city. Preposterous city. Founded by refugees running from Attila the Hun. It was just a collection of little wooden huts in the middle of the marsh, but became one of the most powerful cities in the world. Constantly being invaded, constantly flooding, constantly just beautiful. Ah, you got to love Venice. So many people did. Byron, Napoleon, Casanova. Ooo, that reminds me. 1580. That's all right. Casanova doesn't get born for a hundred and forty five years. Don't want to run into him. I owe him a chicken.» he said while Amy and Rory joined us out.
I gave him a strange look. «Why would you own him a chicken?»
«Why would you owe Casanova a chicken?» Rory asked.
«Long story. We had a bet.» the Doctor said mainly looking at me.
Then he ran to an officer and the soon-to-be-Ponds followed him. I, although, as I thought before, needed a break.So I started walking back to the TARDIS. I opened the door and gave another look around.
I loved Venice, in fact I think I could speak Italian, but I wasn't really sure of how and why.
I was about to close the door when «Lizzie!»
I opened back the door and looked at the Doctor who was running to me.
«Are you coming?» he asked as he approached me.
I shrugged «I'm feeling a bit dizzy, I guess I just need a little sleep.» I told him and I wasn't lying. My head was suddenly aching.
His grin faded a bit «You sure? I mean we're in Venice!» he said looking around, reminding me so much of a child.
I shook my head no «Naah, I guess I'll take a look to the library. God, I saw it's huge, I love libraries. Let's see what I'll find. Maybe Robin Hood or Hansel and Gretal the original version.» I told him exited.
He nodded «Take a look on the first shelves. There are my favorites.» he said but I could see he was rather disappointed I wasn't coming.
I smiled, then with one hand took a light grip on the collar of his jacket and pulled his head to me, placing then a kiss on his forehead.
«Be careful, you big fellow, okay?» I asked looking back in his eyes.
He rolled his eyes, even though a grin was speared across his lips, «Yes, ma'am.» he said.
«Don't you ma'am me, sir.» I told him pretending I was offended.
«Oi! Don't you sir me, young lady!»
«Hey, don't you young lad- Oh, we could go on forever.» I told him, laughing.
He laughed too. I then saw the Ponds in the background and looked up at them, especially on Amy. «Take care of him, will you Pond?» I asked her with a smile.
She nodded with a smile «Yes, ma'am.»
«Don't you- okay, I'm not starting that again.» I said and everyone laughed.
When the laughs faded we started at each other, the Doctor on me, I at Amy and she at me and The Doctor. And then there was Rory who was looking at a chicken.
«Okay, I'll see you later then.» I said waving at the Ponds. Then I looked down «Please Be Careful.» I told him.
«You don't kill the TARDIS.» he said.
«I'll see what I can do.» I said.
He threw a small glare at me and then started walking away to reach the Ponds who where standing a bit forward.
I watched as he reached them and they started walking away, he with his hands in his pockets. Then a thought popped into my mind.
«Oi, you!» I called and the trio looked at me.
«Doctor, can I say it?!» I called.
He raised a brow. «Say what?» he shouted.
I grinned and threw a hand in the air «MOLTO BENE!» I shouted with a perfect Italian accent, grinning like a mad man.
I coughed a huge grin on the Doctor's face and on the face of the Ponds too, and with that I closed the TARDIS door, laughing to myself.
~~~~
The first hour I just walked around the library while dancing to the beat of the 'New York' by Frank Sinatra. The TARDIS picked the music and I was really thankful for that.
The second hour, I lied down on the couches reading some books.
The third hour, I was bored.
I stood up from my seat and, carefully passing by the giant piles of books, continued my trip around the library.
I ran my fingers on every single book, feeling how old they were. The Doctor had the best library I ever saw.
I walked mumbling the always 'Demons run when a good man goest to war' song, which was still stuck in my head. That song was always there, never leaving.
Shelves and shelves of books and I was afraid I could get lost there.
Suddenly a book caught my eye. It was very big and very old. Probably older than very book in here. It was huge, it's cover all dusty.
I approached it and blew the dust off of it, then running my hands on the title, my blood frizzing in my veins as I did.
'Time Lord history.'
I opened it at the first page. The language wasn't English but it took me 2 minutes to read the whole page and understand everything.
I sat there on the floor reading the book. It wasn't just about the Time War but it was also about what happened to Theta after it.
I read some of his adventures, something about Rose, Martha, Sara Jane...
I read something of Crystalline. She was a princes. The princes of Gallifrey and the Doctor's soulmate. And she died in the Time War. I imagined how Theta would've been sad, and I imagined him after her death.
Heartless, never smiling... Sad. Big sad time lord, sounds depressing does it?
As I turned to the other page I read 'Donna Nobel' on it. It was written in big golden letters, as the rest of the names, but it was still different.
I smiled over that. I never knew what happened to Donna in the end so I decided I would've read it. Big mistake of mine. As I finished, a tear rolled down my cheek. Donna Nobel was the perfect companion for the Doctor: she didn't want him as a lover but as a friend, and that's exactly what Theta searched for.
I closed the book and put it back on the shelf. Then I slowly started walking, thinking of Rose in the parallel world, of Martha, even of Mickey!...
And then an idea popped into my mind, my face lightening up slowly and a wide grin making its way on my lips.
I ran back to the book, opening it quickly on the page that I needed and read something. Then I closed the book and ran off. I ran to the console room and jumped up, starting typing things on it.
«Dearie, we need to visit someone.» I controlled the date and the time of the day in Venice so then I could get back 5 minutes later, then rested a hand on the lever.
«Allons-y.» I said grinning, then pulled the lever.
Unknown pov:
«Lily, Be careful and Dean don't push your sister off of the leader.» I warned the kids. My kids. I sat down on the bench of the playground, at my usual spot as I always did and watched my children play.
I sill couldn't believe how quick everything flew. Me moving out, meeting John, and then bam and we are four years married with two kids. Honestly I couldn't be happier.
I have a fantastic life.
The weather today wasn't that good, but I mean come on, it's London after all. Lily and Dean ran around the playground, playing with some other kids. There were not many people today, and I was glad.
I just wanted some peace. A cool breeze beat on my face, making my hair fly. It was October, and I was going on only thanks to the thought of the Christmas vacations. Never did I like working.
«Excuse me, may I?» suddenly someone said interrupting my thoughts.
I looked up only to make eye contact with a young girl. She wore a jeans jacket, skinny blue jeans her loose hair flying at the wind.
«Yes, of course.» I answered sliding at the right side of the bench, leaving her space on the left. Then looked forward at my playing children.
I saw the girl sitting down with of the corner of my eye, her hands in the pockets of her jacket. I wondered if she didn't have cold, she didn't even have a scarf on.
«What a lovely day, don't you think?» she said, obviously trying to make conversation because the day was all other than 'lovely'. In fact I thought a storm was approaching.
«I don't know if you can call it so.» I said slightly scoffing, not rudely of course.
«A good day doesn't classify as a good weathered one. It depends on your point of view.» she said as we exchanged glances, she then returning to watch the playground.
«What'd you mean?» I inquired.
«It's easy.» she said as a cloud of hot air flew out of her mouth and in the cool air. «For example, I love it when it rains. Most of the people say that rain is depressing like if the clouds are crying. And that's where the game of the 'points of view' comes into play: what if actually someone told the clouds a really fun joke and they are crying of laughter?» she said glancing at me with a little grin.
I couldn't bare myself from smirking as she looked back at the playground.
«It's all about the points of view. What we see depends mainly on what we look for. And that counts also for people: you never really understand someone until you consider things from their point of view. Put yourself into their shoes.» she said giving me another grin.
I eyed the girl again: she looked very young, in her twenties perhaps. Though she would speak like if she was way older. «Excuse me, but how old are you?» I asked, not even realizing I did.
«Oh, I actually don't know. Yeah, I don't know how old I am now.» she said, then looking at me. She then probably saw my confused expression. «I'm an orphan.» she explained. I nodded, feeling sorry that I touched that argument.
«Sorry.» I apologized.
«Don't be, I'm perfectly fine. I have fantastic friends. Oh, and no, I don't always speak so deeply.» she said and we both chuckled.
«Why did you ask?» she questioned after a minute of silence.
«Sorry?» I gave her a confused look.
«About my age, why did you ask?»
I shrugged «I dunno. It's just you look older than you are. Especially your eyes.»
She watched me curiously.
«They look older than you do.» I finished.
She smirked, but I could tell she was thinking about something, as she stared in nothingness. «Yeah, people say that to me.» she said. We remained in silence for a second, the girl deep in her thoughts.
I opened my mouth to ask something when Dean and Lily ran to us «Mommy, mommy, look at what I found!» she said showing me a star lookalike rock. I smiled at her.
«Lily it's beautiful, how will you name it?» I asked with a smile.
She giggled «Mommy why would I name a rock?» she said in through giggles.
I raised my eyebrow at her «Well, I don't see why you shouldn't, young lady!» I said and she and the girl next to me laughed. I smiled at the both of them.
Lily then glanced at the girl. «Who are you?» she asked.
The girl looked at her then folding an arm on her chest «Who, me?»
Lily giggled «Well, Of course, who else?»
I smiled at my daughter: she was all to clever for being only 4.
The girl grinned. «I'm your mother's friend.» she said. I watched them in amusement.
Lily giggled again «No, you aren't.»
«Why not?» the girl asked pretending to be offended.
«I never saw you.» Dean stepped in.
«Well, you did now!» the girl said and everyone, even I, chuckled.
«You are beautiful.» Dean suddenly pointed out blushing.
I looked at him, my eyes wide and a laugh growing inside me.
«Am I? Why, thank you, young man. What's your name?» the girl asked, approaching Dean with her body as she leant on her knees.
«Dean.» he answered blushing.
«Well, Dean, thank you again.» the girl said and smiled at him.
«Can I kiss you?» Dean asked blushing.
I stared at him «Now, Dean, be polite-» I stared but the girl interrupted me.
«What about your mommy? D'you think she'll approve?» she whispered the last part to him.
Dean looked at my with his puppy dog face. «Mommy please?» he attempted.
I glanced at the girl who only grinned at me and then back at Dean, who was still flashing me his puppy dog eyes. I rolled my eyes «Oh, okay.»
Dean grinned.
«But only on the cheek!» I said pointing a warning finger at him. He nodded and looked back at the girl.
«Well then, come here Deannie-guy.» she said as she picked him up and sat him on her knees. Dean then gave her a peck on the cheek.
«Ew ew ew ew, Dean kissed her, Dean kissed her.» Lily said, covering her eyes with her hands.
«Shut it, Lily.» Dean said blushing madly.
The girl and I laughed as Dean jumped down from her knees and the both of them ran back on the playground.
«He never acted like that before.» I told her.
«Oh, it's not a problem. My friend is really good with kids, I'm trying to catch up with him. I love kids.» she said, watching Lily and Dean playing.
I nodded. «Do you have kids?» I then asked.
She looked at me. «What? No, no I don't. But I hope I will in the future, maybe.» she said, giving me a smile. Dean was right, she was truly gorgeous.
«And what about the friend you were talking about?» I asked smiling cheekily.
She watched me for a couple of seconds then understanding what I meant. «What? No- no, I- we- we don't- I really don't-» she tried to say shaking her head no.
I gave her an 'admit it' look. So she gave up and rolled her eyes, sighing in exasperation while I grinned.
«We are not a couple, and neither of us have sentiments for each other.» she said.
I raised a brow «Oh, yeah? Talk about him.» I said crossing my arms on my chest.
«I don't think it's a good-»
«Just do it.» I told her.
She sighed and rolled her eyes again. After a second of thinking she started. «His name's the Doctor. 'The oncoming storm' they call him. -she smirked- He's a good man. A great man... He saves people, he fights for the rights of everyone and never asks something back. You could take everything you want form him but he would never be angry at you. And he would help you in the moment of need. He would never leave you. He ain't afraid of anything.
Well, except of loosing his friends, of course. He lost so many people he cares about... So many, but he remembers every single one of them.
He watched them die because of him and he has to live with that everyday of his long life. And the sad part is that now he doesn't want to get attached to people anymore... Cause he knows they are going to die one day. And leave him again. But -she laughed- he can't live without people. He's like a magnetic field. Everyone love him.
It's hard to love for him, though. He tried to move on from her, tried to find someone else, but he never could. He loves her so much and I don't want to be the one of the long list of the people who breaks his heart. And believe me, so many people did. And yet he hides his pain behind a smile. And yet he goes on.
He lost the love of his life and nobody seems to really see how heartbroken he is inside. I do. But I don't want him to be heartbroken when he'll loose me. I couldn't bare knowing he is even slightly broken because of me.
He's the best man I ever known, and nothing will change that. Nothing in the galaxies will convince me otherwise. There are stories about him. Civilizations over sanctuaries tell their children bed stories about him. And, If I'll ever have children, I'll tell them the story too. My favorite story. The story about a man who'd live forever, but his eyes were heavy with the weight of all he've seen...» as she finished she looked up at me and smiled.
I stared at her. I wasn't able to say a word. I wasn't able to move.
«That was absolutely... The best thing I ever heard.» I said in the end. She laughed and I joined her.
«I just don't want to hurt him.» she told me as our laughs faded.
I nodded. «I understand.» I said nodding.
Then I looked back at her.
«But did you ever wonder if he knows that?» I asked. She looked up at me her eyes staring in mine.
I gave her a sweet smile.
«What about the friends he lost?» I then Asked.
«Oh, yeah. Many. So many of them.» she answered.
I nodded and we rested in silence again.
«For example.» she said and I looked up at her. «There was a girl. Her story is the saddest. She grew so much and became so much more, and then he took it all away from her.»
I frowned. «Why?» I asked.
«She would've died otherwise.» she told me. I nodded feeling suddenly sad for her.
«It hurt him so much.» The girl whispered. I looked up at her only to see her eyes watery and a tear sliding down her cheek.
«Oh, come 'ere!» I said and I pulled her into a hug.
She sobbed once then with a shaky voice whispered «Thank you.»
«No problem, it was a pleasure.» I said as I pulled away. We rested in silence watching the playground. The wind calmed down and a few people were leaving the playground.
The girl then got up. «Well, then.» she said. «I guess I have to go now.»
I nodded and smiled.
She smiled too.
She turned around and was about to leave when «Ah!» I looked up at her only to see her running back to me. «I'm Elizabeth, by the way. Elizabeth Smith.» she said handing me her hand.
I smiled and took it.
«Donna Nobel.» I answered.
She grinned like a madman.
«Good bye then, Elizabeth.» I said smiling.
She raised a finger. «Never say goodbye, Donna Nobel. Because goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting.» she said.
I chuckled.
«Later then?» I asked.
She smiled. «Later.» with that she walked off in the windy London.
Elizabeth's pov:
I returned the TARDIS in Venice, five minutes after I left. I slowly switched off the levers and pulled up some switches, doing it all slowly, thinking as I did.
My jacket hanged on the railing where I left it. My hands in the pockets of my jeans while I walked. I searched for Time Lords nearby and it showed me that one was approaching the TARDIS. They were coming back.
I threw another look at the TARDIS screen, pain shooting through my heart.
I then sat down on a stair and stared in nothingness, waiting for them, thinking.
Suddenly the door opened and the trio walked in.
«Now then, what about you two, eh? Next stop Leadworth Registry Office. Maybe I can give you away.» The Doctor said climbing the leader (not the one I was sitting on but the one on the other side).
«It's fine. Drop me back where you found me. I'll just say you've-»
«Stay. With us. Please. Just for a bit. I want you to stay.» Amy interrupted Rory and I smirked, they made up.
«Fine with me.» the Doctor said.
«What about Lizzie?» Rory asked.
«Yeah, where is she by the way?» Amy asked looking around.
The Doctor waved a hand on them «Oh, she'll probably be here somewhere, wondering around or just-»
«Sitting here?» I asked as I got up.
His grin grew as he spun around to face me. «Lizzie!» he said and ran to me pulling me in a big hug, lifting me up and spinning me around.
I laughed.
«Oh, and by the way.» I turned to Rory as the Doctor put me down «You are very welcome to stay.» I said grinning.
He smiled «Yeah? Yes, I would like that.»
«Nice one. I will pop the kettle on. Hey, look at this. Got my spaceship, got my boys and girl. My work here is done.»
Amy said walking off in the hallway.
«Er, we are not hers.» Rory said. The Doctor and I were standing next to each other with our arms folded on our chest.
«Yeah, we are.» him and I said in idiom.
«Yeah, we are.» Rory agreed.
The three of us grinned madly and the Doctor and I chuckled.
«I'll check up if she doesn't brake something.» Rory said. I nodded watching him walk away.
When I turned around, instead of the Doctor, I saw nothing. He was already running around the console.
«So what happened?» I asked pacing around slowly.
«Vampires. Well not actual ones, just aliens. Wanted to plot Venice as their new home.» he said typing something in as he stood at the other side of the TARDIS screen. He still haven't seen it.
«Oh, cool.» I said not really exited as I still was pretty depressed.
He ran around «Yeah, cool when you actually don't... Fight them...» his voice faded. I frowned and looked over at him from the hand on my railing.
I saw him standing in front of the screen and staring at it. The one I looked o before. I slowly walked to him.
There was a photo of Donna, Lily, Dean and John in it. They were all hugging, smiling... Living.
I looked back at him and saw happiness and sadness sparkling in his eyes. Happiness for Donna, sadness for everything that happened to her.
I put a hand in his cheek and slowly turned his face to face me. Then I smiled. He smiled back with the same sadness I did.
And then we both wrapped our hands around each other pulling each other in a tight hug.
My arms wrapped around his neck, his around my waist.
«Please forgive me.» I mumbled in his neck. I knew he would've been mad because I took the TARDIS without him knowing it. I was really afraid he wouldn't.
He chuckled «I forgive you.» he said.
I squeezed my hands tighter to him and did the same. We rested there for a long time, just hugging.
That was how the story of Donna Nobel ended... Or begun.
