Chapter 13

     Chloe was confused. What else could her cute history partner have to say to her? Chloe listened with growing anticipation at what he would say. He took her hand, and stood up, flashing a smile towards her. Chloe blushed a little bit, hoping he wouldn't notice.

"Chloe will you go to the dance with me?" Nathaniel asked. Chloe felt the urge to squeal, but she repressed the urge, and cleared her throat. 

"Yes, I would like that" Chloe said, almost laughing as she realized he had no idea how much she would like that. Chloe had never exactly been a favorite of anyone in school, so Nath asking her to the dance was huge for her. Not that she wasn't going to go anyway, as her father wanted her to keep up the family reputation by going to any and all social events that she could.

Nathaniel broke out a huge grin, as if he couldn't believe that Chloe would say yes to him. Chloe let out a smile, just for him.

"Thank you Chloe! I can't wait for tonight with you!" Nath exclaimed, grinning. Chloe chuckled.

"I'm excited too" She admitted quietly. She then walked away, leaving Nathaniel to sit through her pages of information she had found for their project.

Chloe paid attention during class, all the while hyperventilating about the dance. Nathaniel asked her! How cool was that?

At lunch, Chloe sat down at her table, and Kim instantly sat down next to her. Chloe had a sinking feeling that something was going on here. She sighed. He better not do what she thinks hes going to do.

"Chloe...do you want to go to the dance with me?" Kim asked, his face flushed, and his face showing his nervousness.

"Kim, your a nice guy, and I am so sorry..but Nathaniel asked me already, and I said yes." Chloe told him as gently as she could muster at that moment.

Kim's face fell, and Chloe felt bad. It's not like she was rude about it or anything though, she just had already said yes to Nath.

"Kim-" Chloe began.

"No, it's fine. I understand." Kim said. He then turned and left. Chloe sighed, and tried to force some food down her throat when she didn't feel like eating now.

When she got home, Chloe changed into a silver dress that fit all her curves, with some matching heels. Chloe made some Chai Tea Latte, did her makeup, and put her hair down. At this point, it was time for the dance.

Chloe went outside and into her limo. When she arrived, Nathaniel was waiting for her outside. Chloe held back a squeal, and got out of the limo.

Nathaniel took her hand, his adorable face stained with his blushing. Chloe couldn't be happier then this moment as he led the way to the dance floor.

It seemed to fast to Chloe as Nathaniel twirled her around, and danced with her.

She knew that nothing could ruin this moment for her.
