Chapter 13: X

This chapter is if Karma and Okuda were in Mirai Nikki (Future Diary-spoilers)  and is my take on it - (This is a one off chapter, It does not relate to the overall plot - next chapter will return to normal) 

Sorry if information from Future Diary is offish - remember this is just my take - thank you for waiting so long

Muru Muru watched boringly through the footage of the last event of the race for the God ranking. Yuki wasn't doing anything as God and still sobbed day and night in despair of Yuno despite it being 1000 years after her death. 

She sighed heavily "Something interesting hasn't happened in years!" 

Yuki ignored her, his strained eyes fell into the relapse of staring at his mobile. 

"Can you create a world for me...pretty please" Muru muru begged as though a desperate peasant asking for scraps. 

Yuki sighed before glancing at her briefly replying "Temporarily. It will only last 24 hours Muru muru! It will take me 6 days (1 days rest) to build it's foundations though" 

"Thank youuuu" Muru muru jumped in excitement "You're the best God Yuki!"

7 days later... Creation of Temporary World 3  

{Set in 2017 Japan}

{He set a boy on this world to follow his footsteps and a girl to recreate Yuno for Muru muru's entertainment and to also satisfy his curiosity.}

Karma awoke entranced. He felt like he had been born anew and fresh for Monday. His heart sunk, for he remembered about School. 

He suddenly didn't want to get out of Bed and sat upright, the blanket over his head and covered completely in a warm blue snuggle.  

He opened his phone and started his Diary : 

30th March 2017  

6.00 AM: Woke up great 

But School - can I not please...

6.30AM: Put on my favourite hat - smells like dandruff not gonna lie

Eating breakfast with news on tv. Recently, there has been many terror and knife attacks in the area. 

7.00AM: Leave for school on usual route 

7.30AM: Usually first person in class. Okuda was there first. She is popular.

"Hey!" Okuda said giving a sweet smile to Karma. 

 Karma being shy, looked at his table blushing hard - he wasn't experienced with girls or relationships for that matter. 

Okuda laid down her phone and approached him confidently, sitting on the desk in front of him 

"Are you usually this early" Okuda asked looking at him curiously

He only nodded and paid attention to how close she was. 

"Karma?" she asked concerned 

He was surprised too, That was the first time someone called him by his real name and looked up with widened eyes 

Okuda felt embarrassed and covered her mouth "Do you like Akabane or can I call you that?" 

He nodded again and slipped out a small "yes" 

She smiled brightly "Ok Karma, Do you want to go somewhere after school? I want to talk to you about something!" 

"Um...o.ok" Karma stuttered 

"You're so cute Karma-kun, I'll be waiting by the gate ok so don't be late" she winked at Karma. The moment was soon gone as a loud mouth girl had entered and had pulled Okuda's attention to her. 

'She's so cute'  Karma repeated in his head a few times before writing it in his diary before class started. 

7.45AM: Okuda offered me to go somewhere after school - place not specified - accepted 

7.49: My good friend Asano also asked to go somewhere after school - not specified declined due to Okuda's offer first

=======After School 3.54PM Before Karma arrives at gate=========

Many of the students were rushing past quickly from hell *cough* I mean* school, 

Okuda was out at the gate waiting early for their arrangement and looked at her phone waiting for the clock number to change. She heard loud footsteps approaching, the closer the louder the footsteps and finally it stopped.

"Karm...." She called out but didn't finish  

"Why are you here?" Okuda said sighing and rolling her eyes in disappointment 

"Don't say that babe! You know I'm here for you Manami" 

"Don't call my name! I'm busy" she faced opposite him and he left after much deliberation

"If that's how to want to play it" The person harassing her left...the end of it (or is it)

***************4.00PM**************

Karma walked with his head down and was on his phone (just like always), tapping away. 

He looked up and couldn't believe it. Okuda was waiting at the gate - looking beautiful as ever: her eyes sparkled from her round rimmed glasses and her shiny mid-length hair was braided neatly in two. Most of the boys couldn't help but stare for a second before moving onto their daily lives. 

Their eyes locked quickly and he could feel her warm smile directed at him "Karma!" she waved eagerly. 

They walked in silence most of the time. Okuda was staring at Karma which made him feel uncomfortable and awkward. 

"So...uh.. where are we going Okuda?" Karma asked curiously but quietly 

Okuda simply put a finger to her lips and walked a few paces in front of Karma leaving him to catch up.  

She lead him for 5 minutes in silence until she reached an apartment complex, They stared at it for a few seconds. 

"Is..is this it?" Karma asked with caution and curiosity 

She looked at him and nodded "Please follow me Karma" she grabbed onto his hand catching him by surprise. 

'Cute' he thought blushing hard 'Her hand is so small' 

They entered the building which wasn't guarded by anyone and was looked to be abandoned by the stacks of letters and local restaurant leaflets scattered on the floor. 

It was caught as very suspicious to Karma who was looking around worriedly, 'Why is she so calm?' 'Where is she leading me?'

Okuda was clearly looking at something, she opened the lift to the elevator and entered without a notice. Letting Karma to quickly join in before the doors closed. 

He was surprised to see that the elevator was glass. He pressed the door button to 14 which alerted Okuda.

"um Okuda-san..." Karma asked shyly 

Okuda pressed the buttons again, pressing the higher level buttons and the rooftop 

Karma forgot his words as her stared out the glass to see a warm orange and red hue over the sky and setting among the houses in view. "It's beautiful" He blurted out 

"It is isn't it" Okuda commented however looking to the elevator numbers rising 

"You know the glass is this way" Karma said 

"It goes down everyday, what's the surprise? Anyway you wouldn't want to go out to level 14 Karma!" 

"What? Why's that?" Karma asked 

Suddenly, Okuda approached Karma before he could react, she kissed him...she ran her hands through his soft red head until she reached the back where she held to keep the kiss locked for longer. 

'My..My first kiss!' Karma thought; his cheeks were so red hot he could fry an egg on them.

Okuda was in control and when she let go and the moment go, making Karma wanting more. 

They arrived on the 14th level 

"Don't ask anymore questions...lets go to the rooftop" Okuda calmly pushed the 17 level button. 

"What's wrong with the 14th level? Is there something there?"

"Yeah, an Assassin" she said seriously 

Karma panicked "What!? What are you doing? Why are we here?" His knees began to tremble

"Don't worry, you've got me so there's nothing to worry about it honey" Okuda smiled innocently. 

The electronic bell rang loudly in Karma's ears 'Its the end' he thought to himself 'imma die here with a crazy girl'

Okuda grabbed his sweaty palm

The rooftop was nothing out of the ordinary in terms of design but the eerie silence didn't sit well with Karma. wind began to blow suddenly

Okuda laughed openly "You are the cutest when you're scared like this Karma; Makes me want to protect you" she was about to ruffle his hair but he stopped her hand 

"Don't treat me like a baby! Just because i'm not mental and don't wanna kill an assassin, don't think I'm a kid" 

Okuda was impressed by his moment of resilience "I admit, you are cool Karma. But you're still a p*ssy. maybe that's why you look kinda like a cat?" She tilted to the left trying to picture a feline Karma. 

"Stop that" he was getting annoyed by her teasing

"You even have a cute annoyed face karma! What face can you go wrong with?"  she laughed until a slither of sound was heard. Okuda sharply turned around seriously. 

The moment of teasing was gone and it started to feel tense with vigorous strapping wind pushing them to shiver.  

"Hide behind there Karma" referring to the wooden plank hidden behind what seemed like the roof edge

"Are you gonna go through with this? You're crazy jumping the bullet like this!"  Karma was tremendously distressed by the situation 

"This is part of my plan, Now stop pissing yourself and HIDE OVER THERE!" Okuda stressed

Although adamant he crouched there, not willing to sit due to anxiety and being ready to run; like his mum told him to when in dangerous situations.

Okuda his out of sight, behind a shed like design work  to Karma's left. 

The door hinges screamed open and the tension rising, Okuda revealed herself walking confidently. 

Karma peeked out a centimeter or two and saw a tall male in a green coat and ski mask holding a sharp ass machete. 

" Nice to see you again 3rd. Or should I call you by your real name...Asano" 

Karma gasped quietly in disbelief 'What did she just say?' he thought. 'this cant be real. This must be a dream or i'm going insane' 

Asano cooly lifted up the ski mask to reveal his deep purple eyes upon Okuda

"Nice? You weren't very happy to see me after school, but woah my luck must have changed! What, are we here for a chat?" 

"Good question, I have something to tell you" Okuda looked back at where Karma was hiding 

"MY BOYFRIEND CAN COME OUT NOW, KARMMMAAA!" Okuda yelled over the ghostly wind. 

'Is she mad, I'm gonna get killed' Karma thought

***********Flashback********

Earlier in the day at lunch...

Asano sat in front of karma and pulled his chair to eat lunch with him 

"Hey Karma, don't mind me asking something?" 

"No, I mean like if you trust me with it" Karma was unsure and curious. 

"well i've had a crush on a girl"  Karma took a minute to sink that in before diligently smiling 

"That's great. I mean...you know...uh..you're quite popular and nice so I don't see a girl refusing you" 

"Oh thanks Karma! It's just this girl right...she told me she had a boyfriend. But should I just confess anyway so I can move on?" 

"Dude. It's not like i've been in a relationship or anything I don't wanna give you advice that breaks your heart or anything" Karma admitted but was feeling that they bonded more over this"

"well thanks anyway. Btw you're handsome so don't give up Karma..." 

********Present time - Karma basically screwed**********

 Asano let out a nasty "WHAT" tears forming in his eyes with anger

Karma nervously stood up and saw his red shot eyes piercing him like prey

'Oh crap I'm dead' Karma prayed a little 'Jesus, i know we have the same birthday - I guess you could call us bros from different mo's but help me' he cried out in his prayer 

"Hey Asano...bro" 

"DON'T call me bro... You've betrayed me Karma. I told you everything, I trusted you!"  he gripped the handle of the machete tighter until his hand was white.

"You didn't tell me that you liked Okuda!" Karma reasoned, trying to buy some time before he got hacked to death. 

"Oh please, It wouldn't of changed anything Asano." Okuda scoffed 

'Is she serious right now, its not the time to add coal to the fire' 

"That's it. You two are dead to me. I'M GONNA KILL YOU BOTH" 

In a moment of rage, he went completely berserk and flailed a bit with a loud cry of anger. 

Okuda laughed under her breath "You tryna start a dance revolution or tryna kill us" 

"OOOOH Ninth" Okuda called out nicely 

The door opened again and before getting a glance of the person, Karma saw a hole appear on Asano's head. 

-He fell down, massive amounts of blood now seeping on the concrete. 

The person behind was holding a gun, now aimed directly at Karma 

He shot his hands up quickly. 

Okuda wiped her hands "That's our job done." 

Karma felt like he was in an outer body experience that he didn't get out of yet.

"Wha.." He was about to question but Okuda shut his lip wit her finger 

"You don't need to worry now. I'll always call the shots" She winked at him 

"Who are you" he pointed to a young woman. She was certainly pretty, with long pure blonde hair and sky blue eyes which had not flinched even when pulling the trigger. 

"Irina Jelavic. I'm an assassin"

Karma started to sweat profusely "assassin..."

"Don't worry she was the assassin on level 14. She's my accomplice...our accomplice" Okuda smiled innocently 

"I...I don't know what's going on but I don't want anything to do with this, or you!" Karma had finally burst. 

"aww don't say that Karma, IRINA" 

arma had begun to walk but Irina pointed the shotgun at him once again. 

"You were in this game all along...this is your fate Karma Akabane.

"game? I don't understand what your saying. Asano is dead because of a game" tears started to run down his cheek as he thought of his (dead) best friend. 

"He would of killed you if it wasn't for us Karma!" Okuda was serious again

"I....What are we gonna do?"

"Don't worry Karma...It'll be ok. Okuda is here to protect you, i'l do whatever it takes to keep you safe..cause that's how much I love you" - (Yuno last line episode 1 dub)

Hey guys, this school year is gonna be hectic with gcse's so i'm trying to complete the story this year (I really hope). 

hope you liked this chapter, doesn't follow future diary exactly and i couldn't fit in nagisa somehow.  This story is a one-off.
