Chapter 12

Lucy's POV

We're walking threw the forest, keeping out guard incase a monster attacked us. We were looking for a rare plant. The request didn't say what made the plant rare but we didn't mind. We then heard some rustling in the bushes.

"What was that?" I ask a little scared.

"Just the bush, but don't keep your guard down!" Erza firmly stated. We all nodded. I glanced back over at the bush, wondering if whatever was behind it, was going to pop out any minute.

I then notice something blue in the bushes, I looked like a horn. The creature then charged out of the bush and towards us. I then saw Natsu hit the thing, his fist engulfed in flames. I smiled but then brought my attention back to the path.

"Geez. Do you think the plant would even be here?" Gray asks, starting to get a little irritated that we haven't found the plant yet.

"We'll find it, but it might take a while." Erza replied. Gray sighed. I glanced over at Happy, who was walking beside me and asked him something.

"Don't you think that this forest is creepy?" I whispered to Happy. He looked at me and nodded.

"Yeah." Was all he said. This job was going to be tougher than I imagined. We continued on the path, carfully keeping our guard. I was walking behind Natsu, knowing that if something happened, he'd protect me.

- A 3 hours later -

"Ugh! We're never going to find the plant!" I said, starting to get tired. We haven't ran into any trouble in the past 3 hours but we could soon. I looked over at Erza, who was not even one bit tired.

"C'mon guys! Hurry up your pace!" Erza demanded. We all nodded in response, not wanting to argue with Erza. We hurried up our pace, and trotted behind Erza. Happy was lucky because he had wings.

We all then heard loud footsteps behind us. We turned around, seeing that it was some kind of monster. It was huge. I stood frozen in place, not knowing what to do. I then had an idea.

I pulled out Loke's key and chanted out,

"Open! Gate of the Lion! Leo!" I chanted. Loke apeared in front of me and waved.

"Hey Lucy!" He said. I pointed at the monster thing and Loke nodded.

"Regulas Impact!" He yelled, punching the monster thing until it was dead.

"Thanks Loki!" I smiled. He smiled as well and then disappeared back into the spirit world. I looked back at my friends. They looked a little suprised.

"What? All I did was beat the monster, well, Loki did, but you know what I mean!" I said. They all then smiled.

"Great work, Lucy!" Erza said, pulling me towards her, my head hitting her armor. Ouch.

I smiled and walked right next to Natsu. He grinned at me, and I smiled at him. He then grabbed my hand and held it. Natsu then stopped walking, sniffing something out.

"Hold on! Something here smells strange!" Natsu said, continuing to sniff. He then pointed more into the forest.

"I think that's the plant." I heard Gray say. We all ran towards the plant to observe it. It looked like it to me! Erza plucked the plant from the ground and looked at it for a minute, then looked back at the picture of the plant on the request.

"There exactly the same. This is the plant." She said. We all smiled and headed out of the forest.

- After the finished their job, and got their reward and headed home -

Natsu's POV

Like any other day, I always go to Lucy's house with Happy but, today was different. Lucy wanted to come over to my house, which was kind of a surprise at first.

"R-really?!" I say, suprised at what Lucy asked.

"Yeah, can I?" She asks. I nod happily. She smiles back at me. She waves bye to me as she leaves the guild, probably to go home and stuff. I look down at Happy, who was just regularly eating a fish.

"Happy, wanna go home? It's getting late anyway." I asked. Happy nodded and flew out the guild with me. We got home, and opened our door. I went to go lie down on my hammock which acted as a bed for me, and stared at the roof wondering What do I have to do now that Luce is coming over? I ask myself.

"Natsu, you should probably clean up this place. It's a mess!" Happy said, pointing out that our house was a huge mess.

"But I don't wanna clean!" I pouted. He sighed.

"Lucy would complain that she'd have nowhere to sit, along with this clutter." Happy told me. I gave him a confused look and shrugged.

"Can't Lucy clean it?" I ask, trying to avoid cleaning. Happy just shook his head.

"No, Lucy wouldn't want to clean the mess! Can't we just give her a break from cleaning for once?" Happy asked, with a little concern. I rolled my eyes and went to get a broom. I started sweeping the floor once I had the broom. Get me out of here! I said in my head. I don't wanna clean but I had to.

After what seemed like years of cleaning, I managed to finish in 3 hours. I fell to the floor, feeling exhausted from cleaning.

"Happy, I'm done!" I said as I was still on the floor. I looked around for Happy who seemed to be sleeping on the couch. I got up from the floor, and walked over to Hapyy and shook him.

"Happy, wake up!" I whisper yelled to him. Happy opened one eye and rose up.

"Are you done yet, Natsu?" He asked. I nodded.

"Good. Lucy will be here soon so why don't you clean yourself up?" He asked. I looked at myself and saw that I was covered in trash.

"I guess you're right, I'll go do that." I walked out my house and went to the lake nearby.

I finished and went back to my house. I got in and sat on my couch along with Happy. Someone then knocked on my door. I open the door and see Lucy.

"Yo Lucy!" I said. Lucy smiles.

"Hey Natsu! Can I come in?" She asks.

"Sure." I reply. She walks in and sits on my couch.

"Wow Natsu. Your house is clean! Did you clean it yourself?" She asks a little suprised.

"Yeah, but only because Happy made me." I reply, looking down at the ground a little. Lucy smiles, then got up and walked over to the bulletin board I had with all of the jobs that me and Lucy went on.

"These are all the jobs we went on Natsu." She smiles. I grin at her and motion for her to come over here. She comes over and sits beside me.

"So, what do you want to do, Luce?" I ask her.

"Umm, I don't know. Since I'm here, why don't you decide?" She answered. I had a grin on my face at to what I was thinking. I grabbed her hand and took her outside. I was getting dark out so I thought that I could take her outside and do some stargazing.

"Natsu? Where are we going?" Lucy asks comfused. I didn't answer. I just dragged her outside. Once we got outside, I sat on the ground and so did Lucy.

"Natsu, what are we doing out here?" She asks with confusion. I point towards the sky and she looks up.

"Look up!" I point to the sky and she looks up.

"Wow! All the stars in the sky are beautiful Natsu!" She says as she hugs me.

"There're all beautiful just like you!" I complimented her. I then kissed her on the forehead. We both lied down on the ground, staring up at the sky. We then both saw a shooting star.

"What do you wish for, Lucy?" I ask. She looks back up at the sky, then back at me.

"I wish we could stay like this forever! What's your wish, Natsu?" She asked. I start think as to what I wish for. An idea then comes to my mind.

"I wish that I can be with you forever! Never to leave you're side for any reason whatsoever." I answer. Lucy giggles a little. She sets her head on my right shoulder as we look up at the sky. I really do hope that all of this can last forever. Was my thought as we were outside in the night sky, gazing at all the stars glimmering in the sky.

Authors Note:Yay! I got chapter 12 done! I'll update chapter 13 soon! (I already have it written.) Have any of you watched the new fairy tail episode? (Episode 227) There's a new opening and ending! Anywho, I'm glad that I updated another long chapter! Spring break is almost over! I don't want it to end! Well, at least Monday is a teacher workday and I have one extra day off school :) Well, I'm gonna have to go now. Bai guys! Pinky out!
