Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The Kazekage*

Naruto stared at the boy in front of him. He had failed. He wasn't able to protect him. "Gaara." He whispered. He kneeled down and placed his head on Gaara's abdomen.

He didn't care about the stares he received from the Leaf ninjas or the Sand ninjas. All he cared about was Gaara. He didn't notice Chiyo healing Gaara.

Naruto cried silently as he gripped Gaara's shirt. All of a sudden, there was thud. Naruto didn't look up though. That is, until he felt someone running their hand through his hair. He looked up, and saw Gaara's smiling face. "G-Gaara?" Naruto questioned quietly. Gaara sat up. "It's me, Naruto." Gaara reassured.

That was it. His mask broke. "Gaara!" Naruto sobbed as he latched onto Gaara. "I thought you were a goner. I thought you left me alone! Please don't do that again." Naruto sobbed.

Gaara rubbed his back soothingly. "Don't worry. I don't plan on getting kidnapped anytime." Gaara joked. "Don't joke with me, Tanuki!" Naruto whined as he pouted.

Gaara smiled at Naruto and stood up. "I'm not Tanuki anymore, Kitsune." Gaara said as he helped Naruto up. "Yeah. And you could've called me and I could've prevented it!" Naruto retorted.

"If I called you, you could've been taken too." Gaara said. Naruto clenched his fists. "I'm just glad your okay. You're the Kazekage after all." Naruto said. "And you are the future Hokage." Gaara said.

"Yeah."

"Thank you again." Temari said.

Gaara managed to sneak off to the side with Naruto. "How is the little one doing?" Gaara asked. "He is doing fine. All though, we have another on the way." Naruto said, placing a hand on his belly.

"Really? What month?" Gaara asked. "Second." Naruto answered. Gaara smiled and wrapped his arms around Naruto's waist.

Naruto wrapped his arms around Gaara's neck. "I love you, Kitsune." Gaara said, placing his forehead on Naruto's. "I love you too, Tanuki." Naruto said.

They leaned in and kissed gently. Gaara pulled Naruto closer. He gently stuck his tongue inside Naruto's mouth. They fought for dominance, but Gaara won.

They ended the kiss soon and let go of each other. They turned to the other ninjas and saw their mouths hanging wide open.

Naruto tilted his head to the side a bit. "Why are they looking at us like that?" He asked. "They saw us kissing." Gaara said bluntly as they walked over to them.

"What's wrong with kissing if you're engaged?" Naruto asked. "They didn't know we were engaged until you said it, Kitsune." Gaara pointed out.

"ENGAGED?"

"That's what I just said, right?" Naruto questioned. "When did this happen?" Sakura asked. "Ever since Naruto was born. My father thought of it as an alliance between the Leaf and the Sand." Gaara said.

"So, that means your child will be the one who holds the alliance in place?" Neji asked. "Yep!" Naruto said happily. "But, guys can't get pregnant." Tenten pointed out. "Actually, male jinchuuriki can." Gaara said.

"Well, I think this is more than I can handle. I'm going home." Kankuro said. "Same here." Temari said. The Sand ninja left while talking amongst themselves.

"Good seeing you, Tanuki." Naruto said. Gaara nodded and headed home.

"Let's go home." Kakashi said with a sweat drop. "Aye!"

Team Gai and Team Kakashi stood in front of Tsunade. "Good job." Tsunade said. "Tsunade, where is he?" Naruto asked. "With Shizune and Tonton." Tsunade said. "Who are you talking about?" Lee asked.

The door flew open, and Tonton ran through. He was followed by a toddler with blonde hair and blue eyes. Tonton and the toddler hid behind Tsunade. "Lady Tsunade! I lost them! I can't find them anywhere!" Shizune exclaimed as she ran inside.

Tsunade snickered. "You two can come out. "Meanie Granny." The toddler said. "He's so cute!" Sakura cooed. "He looks a lot like Naruto." Tenten said.

"Granny! Where's Mama?" The toddler asked. "Boruto." Naruto said, looking at the younger blonde. "Mama!" Boruto yelled happily. Naruto laughed and scooped Boruto up into his arms. "How are ya, kit?" Naruto said.

"I'm good! Granny let me color and drink this weird tasting stuff. Shizune-nee said it was called sake." Boruto said. Naruto raised an eyebrow. "You gave my son sake?" Naruto questioned with a glare.

"Now, now, Naruto." Tsunade said fearfully. Naruto handed Boruto to Neji and punched Tsunade's desk.It broke in two.

Naruto picked up one side and threw it out the window. He did the same to the other side. He grabbed Tsunade's collar and glared at her darkly.

"The next time I leave my son with you, you better not give him any sake. Got it?" Naruto asked coldly. "Y-Yes." Tsunade stuttered. Naruto let go of her when he felt something hug his leg.

"Don't get mad, Mama. I'm the one who stole it and drunk it." Boruto said as tears rolled down his face. "Come here, my baby boy. I'm not mad anymore, okay? Now, why don't we get something to eat." Naruto said with a smile.

"RAMEN!" Boruto instantly yelled. "Like father like son." Everyone said while sweat dropping. "No, he's my Mama." Boruto objected.

"But, he's a guy." Tenten said. "Well, Mama said that he went through the pain of getting me out of his tummy. That's what most Mama's go through, right?" Boruto asked. "What has Gaara been teaching you?"

Naruto and Boruto walked down the streets. Boruto hid inside of Naruto's jacket. He was so small that he couldn't be detected if you look at Naruto.

Anyway, they walked into the ramen stand. "Hey, old man!" Naruto exclaimed. "Naruto! We have have your hidden table ready for you." Teuchi said.

Naruto walked to the back and sat at the table. He let Boruto out. Boruto sat in front of Naruto in a booster seat. "Hello, Naruto." Ayame greeted. "Hey Ayame." Naruto said with a smile.

"Oh wow! Look at you, Boruto! You've gotten so big!" Ayame exclaimed as she pinched Boruto's cheeks. "Hey, Ayame-nee!" Boruto giggled. "The usual?" Ayame asked Naruto.

"Hai." Naruto said. "Mama! When can we see Papa?" Boruto asked. "Soon, kit."~
