Chapter 33: The Day Before The Wedding
00:45, 13 August 2018Elizabeth's P.O.V.
It has been almost a full week and soon I will be wed to Thanos. My family has already arrived and they are all excited to see me getting married. Thanos wanted our wedding to be huge, but invitation only. They only way to get to the wedding was by using the invitation. On the invitation was a complex map to Thanos' castle. Unfortunately I wouldn't know eighty percent of the people Thanos invited, but I'm guessing they are all of high power.
I've been trying to ignore Thanos as much as possible, but he always seems to find a way to make time for me. I hate being alone with him because all he talks about is our future. He talks about how we are going to rule the universe together and how we should start trying for kids as soon as possible. First off, I don't want to even marry this psycho and second, I would rather die then have kids with him.
During the last few days, I've either been in my room reading or trying to hide from my family and Thanos, talking with my family, talking with Thanos, and praying to escape. So far, these few days seem like a life time. I have lost track of the days because they seem to merge together and the sky always remains the same dark grey even in the evening. It is around dinner time and I am seated on the right side of Thanos, who is sitting at the head of the table. The table is once again full of meats, wine, breads, rice, salads, and weird vegetables. I was about to pick up my fork and start eating, until Thanos stood up and raised his wine glass.
"Tonight, we feast to celebrate the last feast before the wedding between two of the most powerful beings in the cosmos. I know that I cannot wait to wed the most beautiful, powerful, and lovely woman. I am the most lucky man to exist and I couldn't have done it without everyone at this table. I would like to toast to a beautiful future and to a perfect reign on the universe. To the future." Thanos said as he raised his glass.
"To the future." My family said.
"To the future." I mumbled before I sipped my wine. Then Thanos and my family went into their own conversations forgetting that I am at the table. About an hour later, I tried to excused myself when Thanos grabbed my wrist.
"Where do you think you're going?" Thanos said.
"I am going to retire for the night. After all I need my beauty sleep before our wedding." I said with a fake smile on my face.
"Alright." He said as he kissed my cheek. "Good night."
"Good night." I replied. I walked out of the dinning room and then sprinted to my room. As soon as I entered it I washed my face to try and rid the memory of Thanos kissing me. I can't believe the wedding is tomorrow, I thought I at least had another few days. I dressed into a light blue nightgown and went to bed knowing that this is my last night alone. I listened to the wind howling and closed my eyes. I slowed my breathing down and fell into a deep sleep.
Loki's P.O.V.
Ever since I told the Avengers about Wade coming, all of the Avengers have been training nonstop for his arrival. I can't wait for Wade to come and help us get Elizabeth back. I can't stop thinking about her. She doesn't deserve to be there locked up like an animal, she deserves better. She is the strongest woman I know and she deserves to be treated like a Queen or a Goddess not a trophy wife. I swear on Odin that I will free her from that hell and bring her back even if I have to kill Thanos myself.
