Chapter 29: The New Wand

Loki's P.O.V.

I woke up and noticed Elizabeth's side of the bed was cold. She must've gotten up early. She will probably meet me at breakfast. I started to get ready for breakfast and wore my casual green outfit. I looked outside and saw that the sun was still a little low, so it was still early. I decided to read for awhile until the sun went up a little more or until Elizabeth comes to get me for breakfast. I have been so interested in Elizabeth's family's history that I've been getting books based off of kingdoms that her family ruled. I was reading about her father Hades, and how he was forced to work in the underworld instead of Mount Olympus with all the other gods when someone knocked on my door. I mark what page I'm on and go to answer the door. I open the door and see it's only my mother.

"Loki, where have you and Elizabeth been? You two missed dinner yesterday and breakfast this morning." Frigga said.

"Mother, it is still early in the morning. I have all morning to get breakfast. Besides, I'm waiting for Elizabeth to return to my chambers. Have you seen her?"

"I'm afraid not, also I believe it is mid day now."

"What do you mean mid day." I said as I looked outside. The sun was at its peak. I start to worry. Elizabeth has never missed a meal or anything, and doesn't leave without at least informing me or I catch her before she leaves. This is so unlike her. I decided to go looking for her.

"Elizabeth......Elizabeth........Elizabeth where are you?"

During my search, I ask every guard if they've seen her at all this morning, they all replied no. I even asked lady Sif and my brother. They don't know where she is either. When I was about to lose hope I realized that there is one person in Asgard who can see everything and everyone, Heimdall. I run over the rainbow bridge as fast as possible. As I come inside the Bifrost dome I see him standing in the center of the dome.

"Heimdall, I am in your need of service. I am searching for...."

"Princess Elizabeth. Yes, I know. Unfortunately I cannot tell you where she is for my sight over her is blinded by dark magic." As soon as he said that my hopes were shattered again. I began to leave. "However, I know who took her." When those words left his mouth I ran back to him.

"Who took her?" I asked in a quiet voice.

"I must warn you sir, you will not be pleased."

"TELL ME WHO TOOK HER?" I screamed. I needed her back. I would do anything to get her back.

"It was Thanos. He took her after he knocked everyone out. I saw him carrying Princess Elizabeth through an unknown world to me before he blocked me out with his magic. He probably felt my presence."

"Heimdall, open the Bifrost. I need to get Elizabeth out of there."

"I'm afraid I cannot, considering the fact you cannot go anywhere without Thor or Princess Elizabeth. You still must earn your freedom. However, if you convince Thor to go with you I would allow it. Besides, you will need all the help you can get when battling against Thanos." I stormed the out of there as fast as I could. My poor Elizabeth is stuck with a monster probably being tortured and treated like dirt. She deserves to be treated like a Queen, with the upmost respect. Any man lucky enough to win her affection must treat her better than any other woman in the nine realms. When I got into my chambers I start to look through my stuff and Elizabeth's items for anything Thanos left behind to track him with. As I go through the Elizabeth's pile I find her wand. She never goes anywhere without that thing. It's a black stick with a magenta snake wrapped around it. When I pick it up I feel it's light weight and remember when I first found it. Before I know it I'm staring into space thinking about her. Soon my thoughts are disrupted by knocking on the door. I open it and Thor grabs me and crushes me into a 'hug'.

"Brother, I heard what happened with Elizabeth. I am terribly sorry." Thor said.

"Don't pity me brother. I may be stuck here but I'm trying to get off Asgard to find a way to save Elizabeth."

"How are you going to find Elizabeth if Heimdall can't even see her?"

"I'm trying to find a way to track Thanos. I was going to use a tracking spell but Thanos has left nothing behind so I cannot track him."

"Then why not track Elizabeth?"

"I cannot track her because I took away all of her objects before she came into my room, besides I still don't know how to get into her chambers. It's surrounded by magic so she is the only person who can get in there."

"Oh." He said. Then he looked down and saw Elizabeth's wand in my hand. "Brother, what about her wand, can you track that?"

"Yes, but there is a chance the spell might not work. You cannot always use magic on items that already produce magic. Besides it's the only thing I have left of hers."

"Brother, you either risk it and we can save her or don't risk it and she could die. The choice is yours." I rolled my eyes. Thor has been watching too many of those Midgardian movies. After a few minutes of thinking, I decide to take on Thor's advice. I grab the wand and start the tracking spell.

" rífa gat í himininn. Sýna mér það sem er falið. Láttu mig vita hvað er bannað" When I said that the whole room flashed a mix of blue, green, and purple and the wand exploded. Sending both Thor and I to the wall in my chamber. "What have I done?" The smoke starts to clear up and i see the wand has changed. Instead of the magenta snake the wand changes it into just a head of a snake at the base. The snake has emerald green eyes and sharp looking teeth. The snake looks as if it's made of the finest of silvers.

Thor looks over my shoulder and stares at the wand.

"Did it work?" He asked.

"No, it didn't. It just changed its shape due to my magic mixing with her's." I said.

"Why don't we go to the man of iron's place. He might have some ideas, or some of Lady Elizabeth's possessions."

"Thor, when did you become so intelligent. Usually your very idiotic." Just as I was beginning to think Thor was smarter than I thought he said something that made me take it all back.

"Well brother, you aren't the only one who know how to you their brains."

"Thor you only have one brain. Your other muscles don't count. Now come on we cannot waste another minute. Who knows how much longer Elizabeth can last with Thanos." I said as I grabbed Thor's arm and dragged him out the door to the Bifrost. Only this time Heimdall let me pass.

Hold on Elizabeth I'm coming for you.
