Chapter 29: Tearful Eyes

A/N: Guess who's back, I go back to school in like 10-15 days i'm going to sob.

i'm lowkey thinking of making Gichii a singer~~

A few years went by. Everyone successfully graduated from college, Shinobu got a degree as a doctor, and Mitsuri and Obanai soon opened up a small café. Gichii got his degree though he's not too sure what he's going to do. Sane got a job as well.

Sane and Gichii eventually got busy with work, hanging out with each other on the weekends, Gichii decided to take up some vocal lessons, for the past few months, he's been becoming more social. Getting into contact with Shinobu and Rengoku. They were quick to reach out, Apparently, Rengoku took up the job to help his dad in his mechanic shop. It was successful to say the least.

Gichii smiled as they continued to talk to each other, eventually, he tried to reach out to Mitsuri, he went to her Instagram, seeing that her and Obanai even started dating almost two years ago. Now, they were engaged. He smiled, "Congratulations!" Gichii messaged her.

She quickly clicked on the message, a wide sme plastered on her face "Aw!! Thank you!! ^^ I hope you and Shinazugawa are doing well!" She replied, seeing his posts with him. "Thank you, how're you and Iguro?" Gichii asked, "We're good :)" She replied, they continued to talk for a little bit before she bid her goodbyes.

Sane messaged Kanae, sending her a few photos. "Do you think these'll fit?" He messaged her, sending her a couple photos, "Or at least like them?" He elaborated. She thought about it, "I like the second one the most. But, what do you think *he* will like?" She replied, "I know he likes more sentimental things, but, I think he'll like the third one more." He said; "Then get him the third one!!" Kanae replied Sane replied with a thumbs up.

He sighed, purchasing the item before heading home. He hid the item in his drawer, Gichii returned home, flopping onto their bed "How was it?" Sane asked with a light laugh, "Tiring.." Gichii replied with a sigh, Sane giggled; pecking Gichiis lips, "a you get some rest. I'll make dinner." Sane said earning a smile from Gichii.

Sane stood up—heading to the kitchen, preparing food for the both of them. He finished after a little bit, he called out for Gichii. No response, he walked up to their room to see him asleep, he decided that he'd let him sleep, packing it for lunch the next day.

He finished his dinner before getting ready for bed. He slid next to Gichii. Covering the both of them with a blanket, he pulled Gichii close, resting his head on the back of Gichiis neck. He quickly dozed off.

The next morning, Sane got up early for work, as did Gichii, Gichii pecked Sanes lips before leaving, Sane left only a little bit after Gichii; Sane took on multiple shifts, as Gichii practiced his vocals once more. He was starting to get out of his shell, a thing Gichii never told anyone besides his close friends, is that he had always enjoyed singing, even if it was just humming.

With enough experience, his director gave him the thumbs up. With this, Gichii began to work on his first song (take a wild guess). He came up with a few lyrics, after a little bit of brainstorming, he completed it. He turned in the lyrics as his director began to work on a beat (additional information was added).

~~Sane finished work, after a few hours; Gichii came back home, smiling widely. Sane greeted Gichii at the door, kissing his cheek, "Hi love." Sane said "Hi!" Gichii replied "Guess what." Gichii continued "What?" Sane replied "My director said I could make a song! I came up with lyrics and he's working on a beat, I finished singing too!" Gichii smiled, Sane returned the smile "That's amazing, I knew you could do it." Sane replied (me n who?).

"Oh, Gichii." Sane started, earning a hum in response "I was wondering you'd like to go out?" Sane asked "Sure!" Gichii replied "When?" He asked "Maybe in a couple hours, it'll be 8:00 by then." Sane replied, "Hm..alright!" Gichii said as he pecked Sane's lips before heading upstairs to change.

(This doesn't make sense and i'm sorry if this seems rushed too :,) )

After a bit of contemplation, Gichii settled for an outfit, black flare jeans (like not the stretchy ones those r yuck) with a black button-up, he tucked one side in, throwing on a nice jacket before heading to the bathroom, he fixed his hair deciding to let it down.

Sane headed to change too, getting into nice clothing, throwing on a simple black shirt and a flannel over it, slipping on some grey jeans. He too fixed his hair before grabbing the keys, "Gichii, you ready?" He called out "Almost!" He replied—after a couple minutes he walked down, "You look amazing." Sane said kissing his cheek again, "Likewise, thank you." Gichii replied smiling at the taller male.

They then headed out to the car, both of them getting in, "I have a place in mind." Sane stated "Where?" Gichii asked, "You'll see." Sane replied as he drove off.

When they got there, Gichii realized it was the café they went to on their first date. He smiled "This is where we went, on our first date." Gichii said as Sane nodded, his smile widened as he quickly got out, sane following behind. He locked the car, taking ahold of Gichiis hand, their fingers intertwined as they headed inside.

"Hello!" The girl greeted as the two walked in "Hello, table for two, please." Sane replied, she nodded as she grabbed a couple menus "Please follow me." She said as she began to walk away, the couple following behind her. She placed down the menus on a table, "Here you go, is there any drinks I can start you off with?" She asked, grabbing her notepad. "Uhm, I'll take Jasmine tea please." Gichii said "I'm fine with just water." Sane replied she nodded "Ill be back with your drinks." She smiled walking away.

Gichii smiled "I can't believe you remembered where we went for our first date." Gichii said "Of course I remember. Its one of my best memories." Sane said (cheesy asf), smiling softly at Gichii. Gichii returned the smile "I'm glad." Gichii replied. They continued to talk, the waitress coming back with their drinks "Thank you." Gichii said she nodded, "Are we ready to order? Or do you guys need some time?" She asked "I think we're ready to order." Gichii said "I'll take simmered salmon with daikon. I'll take a small plate of onigiri with it too." Gichii said she quickly wrote it down turning to Sane "I'll take some Ohagi with a bowl of udon." Sane said "Alright! I'll be back shortly." She said before walking away once more.

The two began to talk once more, making jokes to each other, laughs and giggles emerging from their table. Fortunately, there wasn't very much people there, considering the time, after a while, she came back with their food, setting it down, "Salmon daikon and onigiri." She said "That's me." Gichii said as she passed him his food. She handed the rest of it to Sane "Thank you." Sane said "No problem, is there anything else I can get you two?" She asked "Uh, I think we're good." Gichii replied as Sane nodded in agreement. She nodded before walking away.

After they ate, they paid after a bit of bickering, Sane ultimately paid in the end. She came back with their stuff bidding them goodbyes. Gichii smiled waving to her.

Sane took ahold of Gichiis hand again, they got in the car, driving "home". Gichii "Sane. You missed the turn." Gichii pointed out "I'm aware." Sane replied, Gichii thanked Sane for the dinner earning a sweet hum from Sane in return. He pulled into a parking lot, taking Gichii by surprise a bit. Sane got out, Gichii following not too far behind. Sane took ahold of Gichiis hand, dragging him down the parks sidewalks. He eventually stopped.

"Gichii." Sane said "Yeah?" Gichii replied, "I love you. You've been here for me for almost 4 years. It means a lot to me, through thick and thin. You've been there, no matter the arguments, you always forgave. Throughout the years, I've been thinking about this for a long time. You work hard and always manage to try and spend time with me. You're sweet and you always make me smile. So, Gichii." Sane said getting onto his knee as he pulled out a box, "Will you marry me?" He asked revealing the ring. Gichiis eyes widened tears quickly filling his eyes, he nodded. Sane smiled softly, putting it on his finger. He got off of his knee, taking Gichii into an embrace. Gichii continued to cry smiling widely "I love you." Gichii said hugging Sane tighter, "I love you too." Sane replied, wiping Gichiis tears away, Gichii connected their lips in response. Sane kissed back, wrapping his arms around his waist.
