Fued

When I came back I heard Po screaming in pain. I rushed to his room and took a position against whoever was hurting him.

"What's going on?" I asked confused.

"Mantis is giving Po acupuncture." Viper explained. I relaxed out of my stance. "It was cool how you immediately took a fighting stance to protect Po when you didn't know what was happening." Viper complimented.

"I don't care who is trying to hurt Po. I will ALWAYS be there to help and protect him." I said sternly. I sensed her smiling.

"Ow! I thought you said acupuncture would make me feel better." Po said.

"Trust me, it will. It's just not easy finding the right nerve points under all this...." Po interrupted Mantis before he could continue.

"Fat?" He asked.

"Fur. I was going to say fur." Mantis corrected.

"Sure you were." Po said skeptically.

"Who am I to judge a warrior based on his size? I mean, look at me........I'm over here." Mantis said as he stabbed a needle into Po's shoulder. I laughed.

"Maybe you should look at this again." Viper said holding out a diagram of a panda's nerve points.

"Ohhhh, ok." Mantis said and stabbed Po again. I laughed at the situation.

"I know Master Shifu is trying to inspire us and all........but if I didn't know better, I'd say he was trying to get ride of us." Po nervously chuckled. Mantis and Viper shared a look. I sighed.

"He is Po. He thinks we're unworthy of becoming the Dragon Warriors. He wants us gone and for us to give up. But you will become the Dragon Warrior and prove him wrong." I said sternly.

"Ummm Hana?" Viper asked nervously. I turned towards her. "You keep saying that Po will become the Dragon Warrior but.......you were chosen to." Viper pointed out. I shook my head.

"I'm not the Dragon Warrior. Po is. There isn't 2. There's one and that is Po. No matter how much you wish it wasn't true it is." I said. They all sighed.

"I know Shifu can seem kind of heartless......but he wasn't always like that." Mantis said.

"According to legend, there was once a time when Master Shifu actually used to smile." Viper said.

"No." Po said not believing what he was hearing.

"Yes." Mantis said. I grew interested in this.

"But that was before......." Viper seemed uncertain to say something.

"Before what?" Po asked eagerly.

"Before Tai Lung." Tigris said as she walked into the room. I narrowed my eyes at her. Crane spoke from the next room over.

"We're not really supposed to talk about him." Crane said nervously.

"Well, if they're going to stay here, they should know." Tigris said.

"Guys, guys, I know about Tai Lung." Po said.

"Po. Don't." I warned but he didn't listen.

"He was a student. The first ever to master the thousand scrolls of Kung fu. And then he turned bad, and now he's in jail." Po said nervously as Tigris walked towards him. I stood up ready to defend Po.

"He wasn't just a student. Shifu found him as a cub.....and he raised him as his son. And when the boy showed talent in Kung fu.........Shifu trained him. He believed in him. He told him he was destined for greatness. It was never enough for Tai Lung. He wanted the Dragon Scroll. But Oogway saw darkness in his heart and refused. Outraged, Tai Lung laid waste to the valley. He tried to take the scroll by force. And Shifu had to destroy what he had created. But how could he? Shifu loved Tai Lung like he had never loved anyone before. Or since. And now, he has a chance to make things right. To train the true Dragon Warrior. And he's stuck with you two. A blind Crane that doesn't want it and a big fat panda who's treats it like a joke." Tigris said bitterly. I was furious with her.

"Doeyyyy." Po said as he made a funny face.

"Oh! That is it!" Tigris went to attack Po but I rushed over and blocked her attack. I sent a kick at her sending her backwards.

"You will not harm him." I warned. We growled at each other. The tension in the room was super thick that you could cut it was a knife. Suddenly Mantis rushed onto Po's face.

"WAIT! My fault! I accidentally tweaked his facial nerve!" Mantis said. Po then fell over revealing multiple needles in his back. "And may have also stopped his heart." Mantis said poking Po. I turned back to Tigris and growled at her. She huffed and walked out. I then turned to Po.

"I'll be in the sky." I said then carefully walked out. I kept my wing along the wall so I didn't lose my way. When I made it to the door that leads outside I took off. I did spins, twirls, and flips. I was gliding above the clouds when I sensed Master Oogway was near. I flew over and carefully landed by him. I bowed to him. "Master Oogway." I sensed him smiled at me.

"Hana. What brings you here?" He asked. I walked over to him and looked up at the sky. I wish I could see the stars.

"I was just flying when I sensed you nearby. I came to keep you company." I said. Suddenly Shifu came running up the steps.

"Master! Master!" Shifu said worriedly. After gaining Master Oogway attention he continued. "I have....it's.....it's very bad news." Shifu panted.

"Ahh, Shifu. There is just news. There is no good or bad." Master Oogway said.

"Master, your vision. Your vision was right. Tai Lung has broken out of prison. He's on his way." Shifu said shocking me and Master Oogway.

"That is bad news......if you do not believe that the Dragon Warriors can stop him." Master Oogway said. I could tell Shifu was aggravated.

"The panda and that blind bird? Master, those two are not the Dragon Warrior. They aren't even meant to be here. It was an accident." Shifu said.

"There are no accidents." Master Oogway said. I stepped out from behind him.

"Yes there is. It wasn't an accident that Po was chosen. But it was an accident that I was. I'm not the Dragon Warrior Master Oogway. Po is." I said to him. He sighed.

"You still believe that? It is yours and Po's destiny to become the Dragon Warriors." Master Oogway replied. I shook my head. "My old friend, they will never fulfill their destiny, nor you yours, until you let go of the illusion of control. Look at this tree, Shifu. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me, nor make it bear fruit before it's time." Master Oogway said to Shifu.

"But there are things we can control. I can control when the fruit will fall. And I can control where to plant the seed. That is no illusion, Master." Shifu said angrily. I spoke up.

"Your right and wrong. You may be able to control when the fruit will fall and where to plant the seed......but no matter what you do that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach." I said to him. He seemed shocked by what I said but was instantly angry again.

"But a peach cannot defeat Tai Lung!" He said.

"Maybe it can. If you are willing to guide it. To nurture it. To believe in it." Master Oogway told Shifu as he planted a seed.

"But how? How? I need your help, Master." Shifu asked desperately.

"No, you just need to believe. Promise me, Shifu. Promise me you will believe." Master Oogway said. I could tell something was about to happen.

"I will try." Shifu said. I walked over to Master Oogway and laid my wing on his back.

"Master Oogway? What's wrong?" I asked worried. He sighed.

"My time has come. You must continue your journey without me." Master Oogway told us. I then felt a breeze come by carrying flower petals. After a few minutes I felt Master Oogway's presence disappear like he just evaporated. I tear fell from my eyes and I wiped it away but more came.

"Master Shifu?" I asked him. He hm'd me. "What do we do now?" He sighed.

"Go back to the others. Don't say a word. I'll come by later and tell them." Shifu told me. I nodded and flew off to the others. I found them eating dinner. I walked in and everyone but Tigris was laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked. I sensed Crane turn to me. He grabbed my wing and sat me down into the chair next to him.

"Po has a noodle on his face and it looks like Master Shifu's mustache." Crane chuckled. I smiled at him. I then heard Po get on his knees.

"You'll never be the Dragon Warrior unless you lose 500 pounds and brush your teeth!" Po imitates Shifu. I softly smile at him. Everyone besides me and Tigris were laughing at Po. "What is that noise you're making? Laughter? I never heard of it! Work hard, panda, and maybe someday.....you will have ears like mine." Po said mocking Shifu. I then sensed Shifu walk into the room. Everyone froze but Po. "Ears. It's not working for you? I thought they were pretty good." Po said still not seeing Shifu.

"It's Shifu." Monkey tried to warn Po but he didn't understand what he meant.

"Of course. What do you think I'm doing?" Po asked confused. I face palmed.

"He means that Shifu is behind you Po." I told him. I heard him gasp and slap bowls to his chest. Everyone but me and Tigris laughed.

"You think this is funny? Tai Lung has escaped from prison and you're acting like children! He is coming for the Dragon Scroll, and you and the blind one are the only two who can stop him." Shifu informed everyone. I sighed. Po then started laughing not believing him.

"And here I am, saying you got no sense of humor. We're gonna.....stop Tai Lung. What? You're serious? And we have to....? Master Oogway will stop him, he did before." Po replied.

"Master Oogway cannot! Not anymore." I said sadly. Everyone gasped looking at me and Shifu.

"Our only hope are the Dragon Warriors." Shifu said. Tigris didn't like the idea.

"The panda and the blind bird?" Tigris asked.

"Yes them!" Shifu yelled. Tigris shoved her chair back standing up.

"Master, let us stop Tai Lung. This is what you've trained us for." Tigris pleaded sternly.

"No! It is not your destiny to defeat Tai Lung. It's theirs!" Shifu said pointing from me to Po. Except Po wasn't there. "Where's he go?" Shifu asked. I growled.

"I swear if he just ran away I'm going to kick his........" I then started mumbling curses and threats while I flew out to find Po. I heard him screaming down the steps. I dived down and pinned him to the ground with my claw at his throat. "Where do you think your going?" I asked.

"Away from here. Tai Lung will kill us!" Po said. I growled.

"So your just going to leave? The valley needs protection and your leaving?" I asked angrily. Suddenly Shifu landed in front of us.

"You cannot leave! A real warrior never quits." Shifu said. Po then shoved me off of him. He used a little to much force and I hit a tree. He then proceeded to try and leave.

"Come on. How are we supposed to beat Tai Lung? I can't even beat you or Hana to the stairs." Po said. I shook my head.

"We work together and don't abandon the valley." I said sternly.

"You will beat him because you two are the Dragon Warriors." Shifu said. Pot refused.

"You don't believe that. Ow! You never believed that. From the first moment we got here, you've been trying to get rid of us." Po said trying to get passed Shifu.

"Yes! I was. But now I ask you to trust in your master as I have come to trust in mine." Shifu said and knocked Po onto his back. I then flew over and pinned Po to the ground.

"You're not our master. And we're not the Dragon Warriors." Po said.

"Then why didn't you two quit?! You knew I was trying to get rid of you, yet you stayed." Shifu said. I stepped off of Po so he could sit up.

"Yeah, I stayed. I stayed because every time you threw a brick at my head or said I smelled, it hurt, but it could never hurt more than it did every day of my life just being me. I stayed because I thought, if anyone could change me.... could make me.....not me.....it was you. The greatest Kung fu teacher in all of China!" Po said sadly. I shook my head and turned away from them.

"Why did you stay?" Shifu asked me. I turned towards the sky.

"I stayed because.........I wanted to prove everyone wrong. Everyone thinks that just because I'm blind I can't do anything. I wanted to become stronger to show people I can do things. I also stayed because of my brother. I didn't want to leave him here alone with people that didn't like him and wanted him gone." I said.

"But I can change you! I can make you stronger! I can turn you two into the Dragon Warriors! And I will!" Shifu said. Po scoffed.

"Come on. Tai Lung is in his way here right now. Even if it takes him a hundred years to get here, how are you gonna change this into the Dragon Warriors, huh?" Po asked motioning to me and him. Shifu didn't say anything. "How? How? HOW?!" Po screamed. I flinched and backed away from Po. I've never heard him yell like that.

"I don't know! ..........I don't know." Shifu said defeated. I sighed.

"That's what I thought." Po said disappointed. He then walked to the stairs. "Let's go Hana." Po said. He took a few steps then noticed I wasn't following. "Hana? Let's go!" Po urged.

"No." I shook my head and stepped away from him. This seemed to shock him and Shifu.

"What?" Po asked confused. I straightened up taking a deep breath.

"I'm not leaving. I'm staying. I'm staying and defending the valley. I'm not running away to only save myself. I'm going to protect everyone." I said sternly. He seemed aggravated.

"But your blind! How are you supposed to do anything?!" Po raged. I glared.

"ENOUGH!" I yelled. Po and Shifu took a step back. No one has ever heard me yell. "Enough Po. I have believed in you this entire time no matter what. And this is the 'thank you' I get? I get called useless and weak. My own brother thinks that just because I'm blind that I can't do anything! I am staying and I'm protecting the valley. Even if it kills me." I said then flew back to the palace. Little did I know that the furious five was watching the entire scene and was listening.
