Ch.30: From my youth

It seems that finally life came back to normal. Well, with all support the heroes are having, mainly emotional, it wasn't hard to go back to their normal selves.

Katsuki is more hyped with work than ever! Since he entered the charts, the explosive hero just wants to do more and more to reach the top.

It has been one month since the battle and Sisipho also is back with everything. There's no mission from Wakanda or Amazon, so she jumped into action alongside her boyfriend.

"Fair race: the one who catches the son of a bitch first wins!" DYNMT said with a malefic smirk on his face, eyes on his target.

"You already lost, boy~! On the count of three..." Darklight got ready to chase the thief that just robbed a store. "GO!"

Said thief was already on the other side of the neighborhood, panting hard and thinking that he managed to mislead the heroes. However, he tensed up after hearing explosions behind him.

"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!" he yelled with big eyes, fearing the two heroes chasing him like prey. "HAVE MERCY!"

"DIEEEE!" DYNMT tried to hit him with an explosion, but a fast shadow passed right in front of him, full speed like a tornado, hitting the thief with everything. "NO FUCKING FAIR!"

"HAHAHA! I WON~ Told ya!" Darklight said making a little victory dance, with the thief knocked out cold over her shoulder. "And it was fair! This time I didn't use my quirk on you, nor on him!"

"SHUT UP!" he groaned in annoyance, walking to the closest police car, to give them the villain.

Everyone on the streets is watching the scene laughing, the odd and cute interaction between this specific couple is always entertaining.

Darklight laughed hard too, waving to the civilians taking pictures or recording, as the sympathetic hero she always is.

The public really enjoys how the couple of heroes interact, like two opposites that were fated to be together. Darklight is constantly a ray of sunshine, warm and lovely with everyone who tries to approach and talk.

DYNMT is always yelling, cursing, and with a big scowl on his face. However, he never treated any of the courageous ones who tried to get closer and ask for an autograph. He's brutal but knows how to show gratitude to the ones who support him.

In a way, they're just perfect to each other and the rare moments like this, where they're working together in the streets, are a real event.

"Thank you, DYNMT and Darklight! We have been searching for him for kind of some time, always stealing small stores..." the cop thanked the heroes, handcuffing the man and putting him inside the car.

"Only doing my job." DYNMT said seriously, walking away from them.

"Thank you for your efforts too. Anything just calls us. See ya~!" the heroine bowed to them and ran to her partner. "Finally some fun in our patrolling, huh?!"

"No kidding. Since you killed that crispy shit all villains are afraid of doing something wrong."

"See? Told ya that a good move would impose some fear over them! And you always telling me that my size would make this impossible." she pouted, which made him chuckle.

"Stop doing this, damnit." he poked her lips to stop her from pouting. "And you're right, I was wrong. The smaller, the more dangerous."

"OI! STOP CALLING ME SMALL, YOU SHIT!"

"AND WHAT ARE YOU THEN?!"

"A DAMN QUEEN!"

"YOU SURE ARE!" he yelled back all red, making the woman giggle. "Now shut up or I'll kiss you right here, dammit!"

Laughing at his adorable attitude, Darklight followed the blonde man to continue the patrolling, the only duty they have for the rest of the day.

Later in the night, after showering and changing in the agency, Katsuki went once again to stay the night with Sisipho and her family. He still wants to keep her in his eyesight at all times, but after staying in there for a month, he has another reason for it.

"WHERE'S MY BOY?!" he boomed loudly by entering the apartment and immediately he was answered with cute and enthusiastic giggles.

Stumbling his way to the tall blonde, Keitaro tried to reach his friend, making grabby hands to him.

"You're spoiling my unyana too much, Katsuki!" Mandla smiled seeing her baby hugging the other fiercely.

"Goodnight to you too, Mandla." he smirked at her, who only rolled eyes.

"Let's eat already, you two are late. Intomba, help me in the kitchen?"

Sisipho nodded, washing her hands and preparing the dishes, letting the boys into the other room.

"Katsuki is so sweet with Keitaro. Always warms my heart." Mandla started. "Isn't the same to you?!"

"Umama." Sisi eyed her suspiciously. "What is in your mind now?"

"Be honest, intomba. See this man being so caring to a child doesn't mess with your hormones?" she sighed to her mother, taking a moment to think.

"Honestly... There's sometimes when he's playing with Keitaro that it feels like my uterus is itching." Sisipho confessed flushed.

"I knew it!! By the throne, give this man a baby, intomba!" Mandla clapped her hands in enthusiasm.

"I will, umama. One day, at the right time. I still want to explore more of the world before that."

"Just so you know, have you at a young age didn't stop me from doing the same, huh?!" they laughed at her silly tone. "But I'm happy for seeing how mature you're about it. You two still have all time in the world!"

Mandla's quotes put Sisipho in a sore mood.

"Do we? I'm not sure about this anymore..."

"I'm sorry, Sisi... But you always knew that a part of being a hero is the burden of always having death close by."

"I know... But any lessons I had throughout the years could prepare me for the pain of seeing the person I love dying before me..."

"Hero or not, we all have little time in this plane. That's why we must live every single day intensely, to have no regrets."

"That's why I was so ready to save him that time... Because I had none. I know that each day of my life was the best and I enjoyed every time. As a daughter, student, girlfriend, Dora Milaje, big sister..."

"So keep going on this path, I'll always support you. Let's keep on with no regrets."

Kissing lovely the forehead of her daughter, Mandla started to take the dishes to the table, calling the others also, even the little Keitaro. Soon everyone was feasting on the delicious dinner the matriarch made, this time a typical Japanese one.

"How are you two caring for my agency while I'm out?" Mandla asked eyeing the duo.

"Easy peasy, don't know what you worry so much." Katsuki said with a full mouth, looking at the woman sideways.

"Of course, I still doing all paperwork from home. I'll pass this to you too since is so easy, Katsuki!"

"Katsuki! Now we'll work more, shut up!" Sisipho slapped him on the arm.

"Keep going Katsuki, let's see where this goes." Orion laughed at the discussion.

"Don't encourage him, utata!"

"I'm just enjoying the show. Always good to watch one while eating."

"So be it! Give all and you'll see what I am capable of!"

"Haha~ Good one, Katsuki!"

"Katsuki, stop!"

"You asked for that, Katsuki!"

"TASUKI!" a tiny and giggling voice made the whole room silent, all eyes on the toothless blue baby. "Hihihi~ TSUKI!"

The young man is stunned, frozen in place, but melting on the inside. Keitaro is a quiet baby, just like his father and even at one-year-old, his vocabulary is very limited.

And now he just choose to learn the name of his brother-in-law.

"This little shit just said my name?" Mandla slapped his arm.

"Language near the baby! And I told you that you spoil him too much!" the mother just couldn't contain her smile. "Who is Tsuki, Keitaro?"

"Tsuki!" he pointed to the blonde, that's blushing, not knowing how to react. Keitaro's green eyes shone into his. "Tsuki hug!"

Seeing the baby show his cute hands, pleading to be carried, Katsuki stood up, hugging him to his chest, quietly closing his eyes and enjoying his characteristic baby smell.

Again Katsuki's heart is being overwhelmed with the want of having his own kid. If it feels this great to see the baby from another person saying his first words, giving his first steps and being a safe harbor to this little life...

'How good I would feel if it was my baby instead?'

This question surfaced again at the top of his mind, following him through the rest of the night, days, weeks, and months.

Two months exactly, where everything is at peace and flowing fantastically, except for his heart. When Katsuki wasn't too busy with his hero duties, the question clouded his mind and this is always followed by the memories from the battle.

"I don't have time to waste..." he told to himself, being filled with determination and knocking at Ashido's door.

Katsuki has a plan, something to finally take his dreams from his mind and make them true. He never doubted that his life is fated to be him growing old with Sisipho by his side.

Since day one, when she entered that classroom from Yuei High and he drowned in her golden eyes, he knew. He knew that no matter what, Sisipho would be his.

Katsuki's heart always was hers and nothing will change that. Probably because of this he never liked anyone before her for real; at least that's what he likes to believe.

So now he'll only fulfill his fate, by firstly taking her to a romantic night, just the two of them, with everything she deserves.

Sisipho opened the door and giggled seeing him trying to keep serious.

"For you." he showed her a beautiful bouquet, that she accepted gladly. "You're looking like a damn goddess, babe."

"Why thank you, handsome. You're also stunning." Sisi kissed his lips lovely. "And hot~"

"Shut up before I cancel the reserves and lock you in a room." he smiled, nibbling her earlobe.

"Is this a promise?" they laughed. "Okay, I'll behave, for now. Let me just put on my heels and grab my purse."

Sisipho walked back to the apartment and Katsuki's eyes just followed her hypnotized, drooling over her choice of dress and the way it gives so much prominence to her generous hips.

"Goddamn lucky I am, holy fuck..." he bit his lower lip, fascinated by her exposed skin, which always glows with golden highlights. "All mine this woman, bless me."

After drooling and complimenting his woman more, the couple got in the car and Katsuki took them to a restaurant out of the city.

It's a very sophisticated place, with a great view of a river and a huge flowery field. All tables are distant from each other, which gives to the clients some privacy. The regulars from the restaurant are majority couples, so surely they'll enjoy the romantic mood that always are surrounding the place.

Getting out of the car, Sisipho observed every detail in awe. The whole place gives the sensation that the restaurant is made of glass, due to the amount of floor-to-ceiling windows around it; this gives a perfect 360° view of nature nearby.

"By the throne, this seems like something out of a fantasy book!" she said with shining eyes, feeling her man putting his hand on her exposed lower back. "Where did you find this place?"

"With a lot of research and help from the guys. I want today to be special." he kissed her cheek.

"Always is, my love. But why? It's because our 6th anniversary is coming soon?"

"This and a lot of other reasons. Can't I spoil my woman?" Sisi giggled flushed with his intense gaze, pecking his lips.

"Be my guest then." leading the way, Katsuki took her to the reception, where a man guided them to the table.

To Sisipho's surprise, her boyfriend just reserved the whole last floor for them. This part of the restaurant doesn't have a ceiling, so they're under the starry sky, that's only possible to see so clearly because this place is out of the city.

Around this floor, there's a fountain, some plants, flowers, and a small band playing a lovely and quiet song. Near the railing is their table, a small one, so the couple can stay close at all times.

"Oh my, this is so beautiful... And so pleasant. My boo, you thought about everything?!" Sisi is touched by his choices.

"Of course, doll. Low music, no chatting, silence and near the nature you love so damn much. I told you that I want today to be special." he said kissing her brow and she hugged his torso fiercely.

"Thank you so much, this is such a beautiful attitude, Kat..."

"You deserve everything and more. Now let's eat, babe."

The couple sat down and soon ordered their entrée. Meanwhile, the dish is being prepared, a sweet talk started between them.

Sisipho is amazed by everything Katsuki is doing and even more by the calm and serene aura coming from him, something he rarely has. But now they're just chatting quietly, enjoying the music and exchanging some lovely touches.

Toward the entire dinner, it was like that, with Katsuki kissing her hands, cheeks, lips and showering her with his love. Sisipho never felt so special and unique as right now.

"You're amazing with me, Kat..." she said dreamily.

"Because you're the love of my life, just that."

"You're being especially lovely with me today. I don't know the reason or reasons as you said, but I'm loving."

"I just want to show you how special you are. Show my gratitude for having you by my side for so long. You did so much for me, Choco..."

"You did too."

"We did it. We shared a lot of moments, huh?" he smiled, resting his chin over the hand, the other caressing Sisipho's. "What's your favorite?"

"Wow, there's so many..." she relaxed in the chair, trying to think of only one. "The first moment of us that always comes to my mind is our first internship together, back at the forest cabin."

"Gosh, that week was so fucking good! Is one of my favorites too, we got so closer after that... I like to remember when you taught me how to finish your hair."

"Ow, that moment was so wholesome, I was all melted by your interest. Actually, this is something that always caught my heart for good... You were truly invested in knowing everything about me and until this day you're like this."

"Because you fascinate me, since day one."

"What's your favorite moment then?"

"Hmm... I'm divided between two." he leaned more on the table, getting closer to her face. "The first is when I asked you to be my girlfriend. Damn, I was so confused at that time... But when I saw you training under the sunset light, glowing like a goddess, every doubt vanished."

"I carry this moment in my heart dearly too. It was funny because you got all flushed because of my choice of outfit and kept looking down at my thighs." they laughed by remembering the moment vividly in their minds.

"So you can tell that your thighs always were my weakness. And I have a feeling that you knew it because you always were teasing me."

"I swear to the gods, I didn't know! I genuinely was just fascinated by your flushed face. You look so adorable blushing, I just can't resist." Sisi giggled, touching his face gently. "What's your other favorite moment?"

"Hm, when I gave you our promise rings." he said putting his right hand over hers, their rings close to each other, on the place it never left. "It was the first time I saw you crying so much."

"I was very touched by your choice of colors. Mine is cute because is the same tone as your eyes, but when I saw yours, brown and golden, I melted!"

"I was in doubt if I should buy a black, a brown, or just a golden one. But all of them looked so fucking boring. I had to walk a lot to find the perfect one. It made me remember you instantly."

"This was so sweet of you. Everything you did for me is, actually. Always so thoughtful and... Passionate. I love you, Katsuki."

"I love you too, forever, Sisi." looking down at the rings again, he smiled at her. "Why those are called 'promise rings' tho?"

"I... Do you believe that I don't know?" Sisipho said laughing. "How I never searched about that? I think that's like a promise that we'll be together forever."

"Hm, if really is like that, what this ring means then?" his free hand brought from inside his suit a small black box.

Opening to the shocked woman, Katsuki showed a golden ring with some small diamonds carved on it and a big ruby gem at the top.

"I told you a lot of times along the years we're together that you'll always be mine, so the promise rings won't do it. We need one with more meaning."

"Kat... Are you..." Sisipho covered her mouth in shock gazing between him and the ring.

"Marry me, Choco. Let me have the privilege of having you for more years, let's live together, start a family, and have our own home full of kids... Do you want to grow old with me?"

"Of course I do, there's nothing in this world that I want more!" her emotional answer is everything he needed to hear.

Standing up, Katsuki pulled the black woman up in front of him. Gently rising her left hand, he kissed it and put the ring on it.

"I promise that I'll be only yours for the rest of my life, Sisipho." he said looking deep into her eyes, both overflowing with emotions.

"I promise that we'll be happy along our way to eternity, Katsuki."

Leaning down to her level, Bakugou kissed his woman passionately, happy and accomplished that he finally acted to make Sisipho his for good.

Under the starry night, at the sound of the wind and the band playing, the couple stayed in each other's arms all night. Kissing, laughing, and dancing, both in a euphoric state.

Because now their lives will take another turn.
