Ch.23: The Squad is getting bigger

Mr. Aizawa is having a fun time seeing his students suffering with their new routines. Creep? Indeed, but the man can't help but laugh at their despair and whines on the days after the internship.

In the first week, everyone was hyped to do more field jobs, and anxious for the next day of the internship. However when they started to do patrolling all day, paperwork and dealing with the public... Well, the enthusiasm was drained.

Katsuki is pissed until now because the last week was all about staying in the office dealing with bureaucratic crap, completely annoyed out of his mind due to this.

Sisipho is done too. She didn't expect to be so worn out after walking around the busy streets of Musutafu. Is so much information, noise, yells, people talking, babies crying, cars honking... She's having migraines more constantly now, even using her special inhibitors.

She may need to ask for other ones, more powerful and efficient, to her godfather Tony Stark.

The Class 2-A is in this routine for only four weeks now and they can't even imagine how it'll be next year doing this all week. And that's one more reason Aizawa laughed because it'll only get worst, especially after graduation.

"Now y'all get it why I don't sleep, huh? Welcome to hero life." he said chuckling, hearing more cries and curses. "Yeah, yeah... Stop with all this whine and go take the rest of the day off, I'm not giving you homework today."

"YAAAAAAAY!" the students started to scream, feeling relief for the first time in so long.

"ONLY TODAY! Now get out of here." he smiled, walking away from the room.

"We love you, Mr. Aizawa~!!" Mina yelled and immediately turned to her friends. "LET'S REUNITE THE SQUAD!!!"

"BAKUSQUAAAAAAAD!!" they all screamed in response, immediately planning where they'll go.

After a lot of discussions and yelling, everyone agreed that a night at the arcade will be perfect to have fun and vent the stress.

"Can we invite Shinso too??" Denki asked with puppy eyes.

Hitoshi Shinso, a guy with purple eyes and hair, was transferred to the hero course after proving that he deserves to be here more than anyone else and not in Class C.

Mr. Aizawa is his mentor and he's doing very well so far. Denki and Mina are the ones who are always close to him, but the rest of the squad never had a chance to meet him properly, only doing some lessons together here and there.

Obviously, Katsuki doesn't like him at all, changes are not his thing.

"Oh, it's okay for me. Why not?" Sisi just shrugged, not caring so much about it. If he's good to her friends that's the only thing that matter. "Then we should call Jirou too!!"

"GREAT IDEA!! You guys will like Shinso by the way. He's pretty quiet but he's cool. I'll call them two!" Mina said all excited, running to call her friends.

"Wow~ The BakuSquad is getting bigger!!" Sero smiled widely. "I like that!!"

The others agreed, not all of them, but it's good to have more friends around, this means different likes and more ideas of what to do together!

In a couple of hours, the big squad was already walking down the street to go to the arcade, chatting around and even taking pictures of the whole new squad, with Sisi's quirk help of course.

Arriving at the place, the boys went straight to the punching machine, already challenging each other.

The girls rolled eyes at this and Jirou grabbed Mina's hand, dragging her to play Just Dance. Sisipho thought that she was left behind, but didn't notice that one boy who stayed too.

"Don't like anything?" Shinso asked bluntly.

"I like it, but I'm not in the mood today, I'm here just to watch. You?"

"Not my kind of place..." both started to walk around the arcade, having fun just by seeing the others playing.

"Why did you come then?" she frowned.

"Hm... I'm here just to watch." he smirked, joking with her own words.

Sisipho and Shinso continued to talk and both liked to do a new friend, due to their having some similarities, same likes... So the black girl can tell that the purple guy will be a good addition to the squad.

Searching his girl around, Katsuki got very pissed by seeing her next to the new guy, both laughing at something. He groaned loudly.

"What's up, bro?" Kirishima noticed, getting closer to him and letting the other two fight over the record on the machine.

"I don't like this grape guy." his red eyes are piercing daggers on the boy's skull.

"Relax, man. Shinso is cool, he won't do anything dumb."

"So you are fine with Mina and him close all the time?" he narrowed eyes at the red-headed.

"A-Ahmn... I mean..."

"Hypocrite! You're all jealous too!!"

"C'mon, bro. He's new to the class and is just trying to do some friends. I admit that I get jealous but it's only because she's my girl, is normal!"

"Don't fucking care, I'll kill him!"

"Kill who, Kat?!" both frozen, none of them noticing the subjects of the conversation approaching. "Why are you mad now?"

"Nothing, babe." he murmured, staring down at Shinso and hugging her by the waist possessively.

Hitoshi only chuckled, thinking nothing of it.

After spending almost all their money on the arcade, the group did a break to eat. To avoid more discussion like earlier, they just opted to get some fast food, that everyone loves.

Meanwhile, their order are getting ready, and Sisipho took the time to interact better with the new members of the squad.

"Did you have fun today, Jirou?!" she smiled at the beautiful girl.

"Oh, of course! I love arcades, it has been a while since I came here!"

"So just wait because this squad is always doing this type of thing!"

"We're always together basically." Sero laughed.

"I know, you guys are inseparable since the first year." the girl chuckled.

"Really? That's a long-time friendship." Shinso commented.

"You know nothing!! Kiri, Mina, and Bonbon are friends since birth!" Denki added.

"Bonbon?" the boy tilted his head, analyzing the girl mentioned, smirking at her. "Cute nickname."

"It's almost my real name at this point in my life." they chuckled at the fact.

None of them noticed the pissed Katsuki at the table.

The squad stayed outside joking around for a long time, but not too much because tomorrow the stress will start all over again and they need to sleep early.

Only on the way back to the dorms that Sisi noticed the strange behavior of her boyfriend.

At the dorms, everyone said their goodbyes, and only the couples stayed together, to have some time alone. Mina and Kirishima were in the living room and Sisi pulled Katsuki to the garden, both sitting on a bench.

"My boo, what's wrong?" she played with his fingers, trying to calm him a bit.

"Nothing, just tired."

"Are you sure, babe?" he tried to stay serious but his heart just melted seeing her concerned eyes.

"I am, love. Don't worry, I'll be fine." giving her a sweet kiss, Katsuki tried to forget the dumb feeling in his heart, ignoring it.

Bakugou knows Sisi loves him too much, but something in Shinso's mysterious personality just doesn't feel right to him, or he's just being jealous and doesn't want to admit it. So maybe is for the best not to think of this anymore.

Easier to tell than to do.

During the week, the new members of the squad got closer to everyone, mostly due to the studies group. Katsuki can even tell that he likes the Jirou girl, she's funny and has the same vibe as Denki and Sero, and this new trio is already making some funny mess in the squad.

But Shinso just doesn't fit for him at all.

The boy keeps getting too close to Sisipho, more and more, and this is making him furious. All this jealousy is clouding his eyes, making it impossible for him to see that the purple boy is only happy for finally having friends that don't fear his quirk or look down at him.

Also, it's blinding Katsuki about the way he's treating Sisipho unconsciously. His sore mood and anger are distancing the black girl, with short answers, cold acts, and spending more time alone than with her.

Sisipho is very confused and tried to talk about it, but he only responds the same thing: "I'm fine, it's nothing."

This is crushing her heart. Sisipho's mind is playing with herself, throwing all kinds of insecurities at her heart. Most of it keeps going around the same topic.

'What if he regrets our first time and is getting distant due to this? Or maybe he's getting bored of me because he had enough?'

Sisipho hates this so much. She grew up being told that communication is the most important element of any relationship and her parents are the perfect example of this, not only between themselves but also with her.

So Katsuki's attitude of not wanting to tell her what's happening, not wanting to admit that he's being ridiculously jealous for no reason, is wearing them out. Even more than the tough week they're having.

But Sisi is trying to face this situation as a lesson to her future hero life.

Now she's helping Amazon in a mission and the goal is to give her best without letting the feelings interfere or mess with her focus. Even more, because the reason for the distress is just by her side every day.

Katsuki is concentrated too because this is finally an espionage mission again, so he's hyped. For the first time this week, his thoughts aren't on the purple guy.

"Okay, listen! Inside this factory, which works as a headquarters for the villains, there are a lot of necessary archives for our mission. So you two will enter, steal the data, and get out alive. Don't forget to check the perimeter at all times. Preferably do everything without being seen."

"Only that?" the boy asked ironically.

"Got it, Amazon." different from Sisi, who's ready to do all of it and more.

Just now Katsuki noticed how serious she is, with a deep scowl on her face.

With Amazon's okay, the black girl entered Darklight mode, ready to put into action her training. The boy did the same. Manipulating the wind in her favor, Darklight glided to the factory's roof, searching for a way discrete entrance.

"Do you have an idea of how many villains are inside?" DYNMT whispered when he got to her, but she ignored him. "Si- Darklight?"

"Shh." she shushed him, concentrating in feel all present in the building. "Ok, I destroyed all security cameras and put everyone to sleep. Here, take the driver and go steal the data."

Darklight gave him the Pendrive and moved away, to keep an eye on the movement on the streets. DYNMT is extremely confused with the way she treated him just now. She never was so blunt and cold like this. Trying not to think about it, he just did as she said.

Without a problem, Amazon's pupils got back to her, with the drive full of documents that'll help with the investigation. After congratulating them, the trio got back to the agency quietly, to analyze every single piece of data and plan the next move.

The students always work inside Amazon's office when they're at the agency, sharing a large table with two computers, covered by a lot of papers. The pro hero left them to do their job alone.

Amazon selected this specific small case so she can analyze their capacities and evaluate both performances, to be able of helping them individually.

However, Katsuki is still stuck at what happened in the factory and just now realized that Sisi isn't looking or getting near him at all.

"Sisi, are you fine?" he asked cautiously, eyes on the girl typing quickly.

"Yes." cold.

"Bullshit! You're acting strange."

"No, I'm focused. You should be too."

"No, you're strange, what happened?!" he forced her chair to spin in his direction, obligating the girl to face him. "Babe, what's wrong?"

"I'm fine. Can I work now?"

"Sisi-"

"When you do the same to me I don't leave you the fuck alone? Do the same now. I'm fine and I need to work."

Forcing her chair backward, Sisipho returned to her computer, keeping her eyes and mind on the data they stole. Not even caring about the flabbergasted boy beside her, that's trying to understand her words and connect some points.

Katsuki decided to not mix personal issues with his job now, so he started to check the archives too. The distressed couple stayed working quietly until the time to return to the dormitories came.

Both changed back to casual clothes and took a bus back to Yuei. To Katsuki's dismay, his girl stayed oddly quiet, looking at the moving scenario outside the window. He can tell by her dull orbs that she's sad and now he has an idea of the reason.

Taking a deep breath, Katsuki put his hand over hers, and she just let him be. No reaction, smile, talking... 'It's so bad seeing her like this...' he hates it.

When they reached Yuei, Katsuki kept her hand in his, both walking silently to the dorms. However, before going inside, the boy stopped in his tracks, making Sisi do the same. The girl took a deep breath.

"Katsuki, I'm tired and just wanna sleep now."

"I'm sorry." finally her eyes met his today. "I didn't mean to be a shit to you."

"Why...?"

"It's nothing-"

"STOP SAYING THAT!" she let go of his hand, messing her hair, visibly frustrated. "I can't with this answer anymore, I'm going insane! Tell me already or don't need to say anything more to me!"

Katsuki gulped hard, fearing the meaning behind these words. He never saw Sisi so stressed, her eyes full of emotions that only crushed his heart greatly. Now the boy can only question himself about how he didn't notice this before.

"You have been treating me all wrong this week, ignoring me, letting me alone, being cold... For what? What did I do? You... You don't want me anymore...?" the single tear that rolled down her cheek only served to confirm to him how vulnerable the black girl is due to his actions.

"NO, WHAT THE FUCK?! I'll always want you, don't say that, don't think of that ever!!"

"How can I if we were so perfect before and when... Right after we... Right after I gave myself to you, you just started to be all weird and avoid me?" Katsuki never saw his girl so broken before, with a such painful expression.

"Oh shit... No, no, no, no, no! Never! NEVER!!" now he's even more scared, she can't think like this, is a lie! He moved closer, holding her face to his. "Sisipho you're the best thing in my life, and... And our first night together was so damn perfect, you're perfect! I still dream of it every day! I love you even more since then. Please don't cry, I'm feeling horrible now. I didn't mean to make you feel this insecure."

"Why... Why did you act like this with me then? I'm so scared that you don't want me anymore... We only did once and out of nowhere you... Don't you know that this is one of the biggest fears of a girl?"

"Shh, please don't say that! It's my fault, I'm a fucking idiot and a stupid piece of shit! I didn't mean to hurt you, I wasn't aware of that! I... Shit, I was jealous, ok?! So jealous of this grape guy that I didn't see that I was hurting you. Gosh, don't you EVER think again that I don't want you, because if I could I would repeat that night every single day, all day! I still want you, Choco~!"

"But I never would let you, why are you jealous like this from Shinso? What did I do with him? We just talk about books..."

"You did absolutely fucking nothing!! I'm the one wrong, being possessive and wanting to keep you only for me. I know I can't do this, you're a free girl and have the right to do whatever you want!"

"Please, don't do this again with me, I was feeling the worst... So unwanted... I thought you would leave me..." she sobbed, still being held between his hands over her face.

Katsuki is her first love, so she feared that something was taking him away from her.

"So let me make you feel wanted again... Please, forgive me. Let me love you again, you'll see that I only want you, always, Sisipho." he whispered, giving an eskimo kiss to her. "Please let me show you my repentance."

Seeing her shy nod, Katsuki kissed her tears away, hugging Sisipho closer and savoring her plump lips he missed so much. Their kiss has a bittersweet taste now, full of soreness and also relief that the misunderstanding was solved.

Sisipho missed his lovely touch so much.

Just now Katsuki noticed how dumb he was acting, like a damn spoiled boy. Sisipho doesn't deserve that, but a real man and he needs to act like one to prevent things like this of happen again.

Bakugou acted so wrong that made the most confident girl he knows to feel insecure about herself. He hates himself so much for this.

Yet he doesn't want to focus on this now but on making her feel special and wanted again. So, after kissing intensely and letting the black girl breathless with all his demonstration of love, he took both to his dorm room.

Showering her with all his affection and gently touches on the way there, Katsuki surely will make her feel more wanted than a damn Goddess tonight and forever.
