Chapter 34
06:11, 6 August 2024Jimin has gotten very popular since he won the title: Mr. SKU. It's not that he doesn't want people to swoon over him, it's just that he wasn't used to this kind of attention. They would leave cards to Jimin's locker, and also chocolates. But he would always give it to Yoongi or Jungkook instead.
As usual, when there's a vacant time, they all would always meet up at a café or a small restaurant to hang out. Heeseung was still constantly asking Yoongi to go out with him, but of course, he would always reject them.
First, he punched the hell out of Jimin after the dance competition. Second, he even tripped him in the basketball court. Since that happened, he viewed him as a menace.
Jimin, again, felt a buzz in his slacks. He excused himself to the group and went outside to take the call.
His whole friends were eyeing him outside since his face was very serious. "Why is he frowning, he looks scary." Hoseok commented and took a bite from Jin's hamburger. He just glared at him in return.
"Yah! Just mind your business and eat—omg, he is now furrowing his eyebrows." Jin says as they all, except Taehyung, lowered their heads to look at Jimin secretly.
"Can you all stop overacting for just one day? He is fine—okay, he's mad, he's shouting." Taehyung says, standing up and headed to Jimin.
The group quietly looks over to Jimin and Taehyung who are now having a conversation.
"What's happening, man?" Taehyung says, sipping his iced tea.
"Bangchan called, he tracked the device who texted me. Turns out, it was fucking Taemin. What was his deal?" Jimin says, gritting his teeth out of frustration.
"Just forget it, Jimin. Ignore them."
"How could I ignore it, Tae? They know Yoongi, if something bad happens to him. Despite of me believing in God, I'm gonna fucking kill Taemin with my barehands and I will make sure his whole family will watch." He says, pulling out a pack of cigarette and lit a stick.
"Calm down, Jimin. What if you're just over-thinking things, hm?"
"I am not, Tae. Look, before our sports fest happened. There was a guy who warned Yoongi to look after me. Like, why the hell would he say that?" He says, taking a drag.
"Really? It looks like they're giving out a hint to you. You should definitely meet up with Taemin."
"I don't know, man. I ignored all the texts they sent me, but the more I ignore, the more men shows up and linger behind us. I know Taemin and I hate each other, but I didn't think he would go THIS far just because I defeated him fucking 4 years ago? That's just too shallow of him." Jimin says with an annoyed face while Taehyung looks at him, nodding, indulging every word that escaped Jimin's mouth.
"Watch Yoongi, will you? Trust me, there are men watching us. We have to keep our friends safe, let's not tell this to them first. Especially right now that midterms are coming. We don't want them over-thinking." Jimin warned him.
"Okay, I'm calling Ethan and Simone."
Flashback
Jimin was walking down a random street after finishing his classes in the states. The sun was setting, casting long shadows on the sidewalk. He had his backpack slung over one shoulder and was casually scrolling through his phone. As he turned a corner, he heard the unmistakable sounds of a scuffle coming from a nearby alley.
Curious and slightly concerned, Jimin cautiously approached the alley's entrance. What he saw made his blood run cold. Four men, each holding a gun, were standing menacingly over two boys. The two boys, covered in blood and looking weak, were clearly outmatched. The situation looked dire.
Jimin took a deep breath, assessing the scene quickly. He noticed that the men were focused entirely on the two boys, giving him the element of surprise. With a swift, calculated move, Jimin slipped into the shadows, inching closer to the group.
One of the men laughed cruelly, pointing his gun directly at one of the boys. "Looks like this is the end for you two," he sneered.
Jimin couldn't stand by any longer. With lightning-fast reflexes, he lunged at the closest man, delivering a powerful punch to his jaw. The man crumpled to the ground, unconscious before he even hit the pavement.
The other three men turned in shock, their guns now aimed at Jimin. But he was already moving, a blur of motion. He grabbed the second man's wrist, twisting it sharply and forcing the gun to drop. A quick knee to the stomach followed by an elbow to the back of the head took the second man down.
The remaining two men exchanged a glance, fear evident in their eyes. They fired their guns, but Jimin was too fast. He dodged the bullets with agile, acrobatic movements, closing the distance between them. With a swift kick, he disarmed the third man, then used a judo throw to send him crashing to the ground.
The last man, seeing his comrades taken down so effortlessly, panicked. He turned to run, but Jimin was already behind him. Grabbing the man's shoulder, Jimin spun him around and delivered a knockout punch that sent him sprawling.
Breathing heavily, Jimin looked around, making sure there were no other threats. Satisfied that the danger had passed, he turned his attention to the two boys, who were staring at him with wide, astonished eyes.
"W-Who are you?" one of them, a tall boy with a bloody face, managed to stammer.
End of flashback
As they walked back into the café, the group looked at them curiously, but Taehyung just gave them a reassuring smile. "Everything's fine. Just some old stuff Jimin needed to deal with."
The friends resumed their bickering and laughter, but Jimin’s mind was still on high alert. He knew that things were about to get a lot more complicated.

"What's up, Baby J?" Simone jumps on Jimin who was in his couch, staring at a computer.
He ignored the older's words when his phone buzzed.
Unknown number I see you have tracked my number. Don't get too shabby, you and Taehyung will be dead by Christmas.
Jimin smirked at the text he received. "Simone, call the others. We have some business to deal with."
