chapter 8

press and interview day for season 2!

Walker's POV

i woke up and groaned, went to shower and brush my teeth. today is the day we start on the press and interviews for season two, the season dropped like 2 weeks ago but we haven't been able to accept any interviews yet since the incident with me and leah, i'm kinda scared of the questions today but we'll be fine.

leah and her mom finally moved into a new place , which is actually kinda closer to me which is good, so leah was finally able to go back home but of course she stayed with me haha, i looked over at her in the bed and walked to her tapping her gently to wake her up.

"leah, leah!! wake up beautiful we have press and a big interview today.."i whispered kissing her soft while waking her up, her beautiful eyes flickered open and she looked at me eyebrows furrowed, i smiled at how sleepy yet beautiful she looked "what time is it? i'm starving walker..." she groaned "don't worry it's 7am we are early, and on our way there we can get breakfast from mcdonald's " i said and she instantly jumped up running to the bathroom the second she heard mcdonalds breakfast.

i laughed shaking my head, she'll do anything for a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin with a medium caramel frappe. i started getting ready and decided to go with something calm today just a white tee, jeans and a blue flannel shirt with my slippers.

(lmao idk what these called yall but they look like slippers LMAOO like walker what is on yo feet the fit wouldve ate with some vans..love him tho😂❤️)

when i done getting ready i went downstairs to wait for leah, you know girls..she has to make sure she's absolutely gorgeous even tho she nails that naturally but i love when she dresses up and stuff, she always slays. i went upstairs and stood by the door watching her put on her makeup.

she was so beautiful in her own lil world, i don't even think she notices or can feel me staring, i always catch myself watching everything she does in interviews i was never ashamed to stare at her, everytime i did is was like the interview didn't even matter, nothing did, only her.

"walker take a picture it will last longer!" she laughed, i broke out of my daze smiling at her and walker over to her and kissed her head "i can't help it, you're so so so beautiful " i said turning her head up to me and kissing her lips, she smiled into the kiss sighing heavily "you always make me feel so pretty.." she said.

"you should always feel that way because you are..you almost ready baby?" i asked while watching her spray her perfume and look in the mirror making sure she was all good "don't worry love your beautiful, you look absolutely beautiful " i whispered to her wrapping my arms around her from behind.

she held me tightly melting in my arms as we watched eachother through the mirror "we are so inlove , it's sickening " she joked and we both laughed, i placed a kiss on her neck "as we should be.." i whispered

after press we arrived to the interview and instantly had to do a photo shoot and take pictures with people, it was fun, leah, aryan, and i always have fun together during these times rick also took plenty of pics with us, i tried my best to not stare at leah so much because even tho everyone knows we are dating i didn't want our relationship to take away from the show, and plus i respected me and leah's privacy..she started receiving a bit more hate since we've been dating and i didn't wanna make it worse but of course they caught me staring in atleast one picture

thankfully aryan was looking at her too so it doesn't look as bad for me..i think. but honestly i couldn't help myself, i was all over her...giving her kisses after every picture we took, playing with her hair and i constantly talked about percabeth during these interview.. every chance i got i stared at her.

"walker ! percy and annabeth deal with a lot of changes in their relationship this season can you explain what's going on there? " the interviewer asked me i shifted in my seat a bit nervously and looked at leah and she smiled, and suddenly i instantly felt calmer "uh yeah, percy is obviously so oblivious of it but i think he shows how much her cares about annabeth and wants to know why she didn't reach out...he wasn't sure if she was mad at him or something but ya know annabeth is realizing she really likes percy ya know more then a friend and i think it scared her and kept her from reaching out.." i said

everyone nodded agreeing "yeah and annabeth knows percy is always willing to put himself in jeopardy and then the prophecy and things so she feels like she's afraid to loose him and doesn't want to let things get any further and wanted to avoid him.. but when they come back together again on the quest to save grocer and camp halfblood they slowly start to realize they like eachother..mostly annabeth percy is just ya know..'unaware' of literally everything until she kisses his cheek"leah laughed i laughed a bit with everyone else smiling at her.

the interviewer asked everyone questions individually and i could honestly say for the first interview we bad in a whole it wasn't bad..she asked questions the fans wanted to know and heartfelt ones as well "okay so i know it's been a hard time for you guys lately i wanted to know how everything had been since ya know the incident that happened with you guys walker and leah, how are you guys handling that is everything okay?" she asked and you can literally tell she was actually deeply concerned.

"oh uh we are doing great actually, me and leah have been almost inseparable ever since and we help eachother cope..it honestly bring us closer then ever and that's a really good thing...and leah especially has been doing better and thats honestly all that matters to me" i said smiling at her, she smiled back blushing.

the interview continued with such good vibes, after we took more pictures before heading back home, i decided instead leah, aryan and i will go to get pizza, rick went home to his wife but he expected to see us early tomorrow to start on filming season 3, i couldn't wait.

as we sat and ate our pizza laughing and joking together, aryan biting his pizza and practically screaming when it's too hot, making leah laugh hysterically, i laughed smiling too..i was so glad she is happy.

suddenly i heard the door open and just happened to look over and saw a familiar face, i felt my ears get hot and my face went cold, i instantly turned away and continued eating my food hoping the person i just saw will avoid me completely and go about their business.

"walker? is that you?" i heard the familiar voice, i turned around and looked up to see someone in ever thought i would ever see again, my ex from school makenzie lanson..i sighed before giving a small smile "uh hey makenzie..." i said kinda dryly, i looked at leah who was clearly trying to keep a brave face, smiling widely but her eyebrows furrowed a bit, it was the cutest thing ive ever seen in my life but my heart was hurting for her at the same time..i saw right through her, i could tell she was slightly unsure about makenzie and she has every right to feel that way without even knowing who makenzie was.

" makenzie?...." she laughed, nervously yet still trying to seem as nice as possible "oh walker you can still call me kenzie! and oh my goodness your leah! im actually walkers ex from school, we've never met officially but its really nice to meet you! i love annabeth by the way!"makenzie smiled and put her hand out for leah to shake, makenzie looked super excited, almost nice, it was sweet..but i was also worried at the same time

you see when i dated makenzie it was before me and leah started dating and leah and i were simply friends, best friends, she didn't know about makenzie tho but it's only because i makenzie made it very hard for me..she always hated leah and she was never afraid to show it..me and makenzie only dated for a month and a few weeks..and the entire time she was obsessive, i was honestly afraid she was gonna ruin my career too but i noticed that way never the problem, makenzie's only problem was with leah.

she started expressing this when percy jackson first started to take off and me and makenzie were having problems in our relationship because she hated how much leah and i hung out back when we first met.

leah and i get shipped everywhere almost everyday, we are dating now so this to me is very bad, but for some reason makenzie is being nice? it has to be a act...from the small time i've known makenzie she actually hated that leah was annabeth, she always covered it up by saying she just wants annabeth to be blonde nothing else but i simply just thought it meant she was racist, anyone that judges leah for her role is suspect i don't care. real fans don't care about how the character looks but only the characters personality and meaning to the story.

but personally me, my annabeth is better, she's beautiful and smart, i knew instantly that leah was gonna be annabeth, she stood out more then the girls that auditioned with blonde hair or blue eyes, she got the part with none of the looks but for who she is.. she's the beautiful i think about when i think of annabeth.

to be honest i've never thought of annabeth as white, especially when it came to aphrodite or athena, maybe i just love chocolate but they all are black in my mind, sorry not sorry.

but anyways makenzie is bad news..this is definitely not the last we see of her "um hi...nice to meet you too, im leah!" leah said a bit nervous at first but relaxed and smiled shaking makenzie's hand, leah was sweet, too sweet. i didn't say anything, i didn't know if t was gonna come out good or bad i just placed my hand on leah's knee, i don't know why it just happened, maybe i was reassuring her in a way? i don't know but i wasn't her to know i was only for her forever.

she relaxed a bit more at my touch " you guys are cute together by the way! see you around walker!" makenzie said hurrying away for her order, leah smiled waving at her goodbye "bye!!! awe she seems nice haha..i was a bit nervous i thought she was gonna be a bitch" leah laughed jokingly

aryana laughed too and i forced out a light laugh, but i knew i had to tell leah about makenzie, not now infront of aryan but soon.."yeah she's actually nice..."i said lowly, i'll tell leah about her later but not around aryan, i don't know how long this 'nice act' is gonna last but i want leah to know the truth

me and leah arrived back home and went upstairs to shower and change, we cuddled in bed getting ready to fall asleep before i decided to break the calm easy silence "hey leah? i'm i have to tell you something " i said whispering to her, she turned her body towards me holding me close as we layed down together "yeah baby?" her eyebrows raised

"it's about makenzie..she actually wasn't a good girlfriend , and she hated you back when me and her dated...i think her nice little introduction today was all an act" i said sighing and running my hand in my hair, leah sat up looking me in the eyes holding my hand "woah are you serious? she seemed so sweet..i guess that's why you never really mentioned her" leah said looking down eyebrows furrowed i watched all her movements, i knew leah would believe me, she seemed unsure about makenzie earlier "yeah and why i was so shocked to see her i couldn't even speak..i never seen her act so...nice, something is wrong i know it" i said

leah laughed a bit and rubbed my hand "walker maybe she's chanced tho, please baby i don't want anymore problems..maybe she's matured " she said surely "leah you can't possibly believe that..well atleast i can't. i have to make sure she stays away from you i don't trust her.."i said holding leah close, she smiled shaking her head "you're crazy seaweed brain you know that right? i love you for it tho" she smiled.

"i'll do anything for you and to make sure your okay, always. i love you wise girl" i said holding her close and kissing her, she smiled into the kiss holding my nape playing with my hair "i love you too kelp face" she smiled
