Chapter 1

16:30, 4 July 2016

Kylo POV

Anticipation pumped through my veins as my Command Shuttle landed on earth soil. The steel hatch was lowered and I dramatically exited. After all, the villain always has to look good, even in front of his own army.

The girl was here. I feel it. Right on the other side of the Launch Bay. This is too easy.

The Launch Bay, despite what all these people living here thought, was actually a fully functioning First Order base. The front and inside of the building was actually just a disguise for the public and even for the people working here at this Disney place or whatever they call it.

The backside was where the real magic began. There was a full loading zone, large enough to hold six TIE Fighters, a few Stormtrooper Transporters, and my Command Shuttle.

No one knows it's here except for me, Snoke, Hux, Phasma, and a few selected, high-ranking personnel from the First Order. Not even the Resistance knew, which was the best part, otherwise I wouldn't be standing here right now...

I visit Earth more than people think. Quite often actually if I'm not super busy, which I usually am. Though thanks to the Resistance, I've had much more free time since we lost our main headquarters and got stuck on a Star Destroyer. I'm never going to let them live that down.

There was a section of the Launch Bay's building where vistors could meet me, though it was technically not used this way. It's actually an interrogation room, just without the table to be strapped down to. I'm a little more lenient with people here, but I still let them know who's boss.

Despite this, most people just seem to laugh in my face whenever I threaten them. No one takes me seriously here for some reason. I hate that.

Two Stormtroopers appeared by my side as I entered the back door of the Launch Bay. They waited as I entered a code on a keypad by the door, then followed me down the hallway.

That keypad is so much more than just to keep unwanted people away from my secret base; it actually will not let anyone "see" it unless the correct code is used.

For example, if I type in the right code, I will open the door and see my base with all the ships in the loading zone. If I was to type in the wrong code, I would open the door and see an employee parking lot for this...unique place. Cool, right?

I followed a remembered route down the interconnecting hallways, the Stormtroopers right behind me. I passed employees but they didn't give me a second glance, used to my presence here.

I tripped one guy as he walked by. No reason, I just wanted to watch him fall. Humans were fun to mess with.

I entered through a door with a picture of me taped to it. The Stormtroopers shut it for me, then stood straight and tall against the wall, awaiting their next order.

I felt so much at home in this place. It was built to look just like an ordinary room on a Star Destroyer, with a window to look out at space (though it was just a painting here). Still, it was nice.

"Dismissed," I stated to my Stormtroopers. "Patrol the area for any Resistance troops."

"Yes, Sir," they said nearly in unison. They left through the regular exit on the right end of the room, making sure the door was firmly closed behind them.

Two employees I was quite familiar with, Jack and Brett, came in through the public entrance (a narrow corridor with a wall blocking everyone's view until the last moment; from then on, you're stuck with me).

"Okay, so you know the routine," Jack said. He was dressed as a First Order Admiral, as if he could ever make it to that level. Brett, the cameraman, played with his camera. "Get in the people's faces, scare them a bit, take a picture-"

"A scan," I corrected.

Unbeknownst to them, the devices they held were actually scanners which sent copies of the people back to my base behind this building. My personnel checked to make sure they weren't Resistance spies coming in here to get information from me or discover my base. So far we haven't come across any, but you can never be too cautious.

Jack rolled his eyes. "Alright, a scan then. You know you don't have to be in character until a guest comes in, right?"

"Okay..." I never understood what he meant by "being in character". I act like I always do. What's wrong with that?

Jack left to bring in the first guests and Brett just continued to play with his camera. He was starting to get on my nerves. As he usually does.

"Would you stop bothering with that?" I growled through my helmet.

He didn't even look up. "Dude, I'm trying to adjust the lens. Just do your thing and I'll do mine."

I was about to Force Choke him for his attitude when Jack brought a family in. Not that this had ever stopped me before, but if I make a scene they will shut off my line (yes, people wait in a line to get interrogated, weird right?). And If my line is shut off, it also means my chances of getting the girl in my vision will automatically disappear. I, sadly, have to be on my best behavior. But Brett isn't being let off this easy. I'll get back at him for his disrespect towards me.

I just hoped there weren't many annoying people I have to deal with before the girl comes in here. And I also hope she plans on coming in here...

Things just became really complicated.

Summer POV

I can't believe I was finally here. Ever since Disney's Hollywood Studios added the Star Wars Lauch Bay, I have been dying to come. Between the museum and the special characters you could meet inside, this definitely felt like heaven for a huge Star Wars fan like me.

I gazed in awe at the entrance to the Launch Bay. A large First Order flag, split in three sections just like in the movie, hung above the entrance sign. I love the Dark Side as it is, so this was l ike a big "Welcome" mat outside someone's house for me.

I gasped as two Stormtroopers walked by me, holding their blasters in front of them. This was too cool.

I watched one Stormtrooper stop at a little boy, shake his head, then walk away. I looked back to the boy and saw he was wearing a Resistance shirt. I'm surprised the Stormtrooper didn't try to "arrest" him.

The second Stormtrooper, once he was done "examining" a stroller, walked past me. I tried to stop him for a selfie, but he replied that he can't because he was on patrol. I didn't mind, I know they have to stay in character. After all, what First Order Stormtrooper will just stop what they're doing for a picture?

I was just amazed that he talked to me. I know he was just a normal person in a costume but it was still cool.

I put my phone away and walked up to the entrance, freezing at sight of a sign on the left. It had a picture of Chewbacca on top with a waiting time next to it. Thirty minutes to see the Wookiee. A little long though not bad. But who was below is what really caught my eye...

Kylo Ren. The newest Star Wars villain to fear. The next Darth Vader. Also my favorite character of all time. I think he has already topped Vader in my opinion, though I know a lot of people would disagree. Kylo is just awesome, and Adam Driver brings the character to life so well. Someone give that actor a medal.

I nearly squealed at his waiting time. Ten minutes. Only ten minutes to see him. How much better can this day get? Yes, I know it's not the Adam Driver behind the mask, but it will still be awesome anyway.

I hurried inside, stopping at a poster that was as long as the wall. It had all six original Star Wars episodes on it, from young Anakin on Tattooine, to the height of the Empire, to the Rebel Celebration on Endor. Plus it showed everything and everyone in between. I snapped a pic of it before continuing.

I turned a few corners, following the overhang until I finally entered the building. Two cast members greeted me with blue and green lighsabers, Luke's (from Return of the Jedi) and Rey's of course. They waved them as I walked by, an electrical, vibrating noise coming off them. Cool effects.

Ah, air conditioning. The brutal summer heat in Florida was hot enough to make you feel like you're walking on Mustafar, though I didn't care. I was so happy to be here right now, temperature didn't matter.

On my left was a part of the museum, showcasing outfits and props from the movies. Small models of X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Star Destroyers also dotted the display cases. I was tempted to look, but decided to do it later. I don't want Kylo Ren's line to fill up.

I turned right and passed two more displays showing life-size replicas of a podracer and a speeder bike. The backdrop showed the scenes in which they were from and gave a description of each of them.

I went down a few stairs and stopped, two lines in front of me. To the left: Chewbacca. To the right...Kylo Ren. My heart rate increased excitedly as I walked into his line.

Kylo POV

I stepped up to a young boy with his older sister beside him. Well, more like behind him. Finally, someone is frightened of me.

"I am looking for a map within a droid..." I said menacingly to them. They took another step away as I came closer. "Tell me what you know." The Resistance may have won the last battle but I still need to find Luke Skywalker to complete my revenge.

Neither of the kids said a word. They tried to, I watched their mouths move, but nothing came out. I loved their fear. I drank it up like a vampire starved for blood.

"Your conscience is weak," I continued once I became tired of waiting for their reply. "But you will be a valuable ally to the Dark Side." Hey, one is never too young to go to the Dark Side.

I turned to Brett. "Take the scan."

I extended my arm as if I was Force Choking someone. Brett flashed his "camera" and rubbed his throat afterwards. I did say I would get back at him...

The kids left with their family as Jack went to bring more guests in. I sighed, bored. I came here for a reason, but patience is something I never had.

I froze, suddenly feeling a strong pull in The Force. She was near. Very near. Just on the other side of the wall. Which meant...she was in my line.

This day just might go well after all.

Summer POV

I passed a display about halfway in Kylo's line showing off four Stormtrooper helmets, from the Clone Wars to the First Order. It was cool to see how the design changed over the years.

Televisions hanging in each corner of the line asked movie trivia to help amuse guests while waiting in line. I did very well at the questions, not trying to brag.

I neared large, steel-plated sliding doors that marked the entrance to Kylo Ren's room. I was definitely excited, though I tried to remain normal in the line.

I glanced in another display showing off four lightsabers with a picture of the person who owned them: Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Sidious, and Inquisitor. Each lightsaber had a description beneath it of how it worked, and how the design came about. I snapped a quick pic of it.

A cast member, dressed as a First Order Admiral, came out from behind the doors and let three families in front of me inside. He told me to wait at a yellow line marked in the carpet for him to return. I nodded and watched him disappear behind the doors.

The Imperial March played over the speakers, giving me goosebumps. Just a few more minutes and then I will be face to face with Kylo Ren.

Kylo POV

Ugh. How many more whiny brats do I have to deal with before this girl comes in here? I'm getting sick of people giggling when I get in their face and threaten to end them. HOW DO YOU NOT FEAR ME PEASANTS?! DO YOU NOT KNOW MY POWER?!

I swear, if this girl wasn't so dang important, I would be giving every person that walked in a taste of my lightsaber. I am not in a good mood.

And if she isn't in here in five minutes...I might just do it anyway.

Summer POV

The steel doors opened and the "admiral" came out. "Okay," he said. "So how many in your party?"

"Just me," I replied, trying not to squeal from nerves.

"Come on in," he replied. "And good luck. You never know what mood he is in..."

I thanked him and walked inside, almost too excited to contain myself. The extra thought that the "admiral" gave me made me even more excited than I already was.

I followed a dimly lit, narrow corridor until light came into view. A cameraman stood at the end and motioned for me to continue. Taking a small breath, I turned the corner and saw Kylo Ren standing there, facing the wall. Or to be technical, staring out his "window".

Kylo turned around and froze at sight of me. It turned into a stare off, neither of us moving or saying a word, eyes locked on each other. I couldn't see his face (he was wearing his helmet and his was hood up) but I doubt he was staring at anything else but me.

Kylo POV

My breath caught in my throat at sight of her. I was not expecting a hot girl to walk in here. And she was the girl I was looking for. I could feel her Force pulling me towards her. Great.

But I remembered Hux telling me about love, how it weakens you and will only leave you hurt in the end. How it distracts you from the important things in life, and shows you cannot trust anyone.

I have experienced it before. I have felt the pain and suffered many years from it. Though that has made me who I am today, and I have learned greatly from it. Especially not to make the same mistake twice.

This girl is going to be nothing more to me than just an apprentice, and I will make sure that never changes. Ever.

Summer POV

"It's you," I heard him say, his voice sounding growling because of the voice apparatus in his helmet. It was so awesome to hear that live.

"And...it's you," I replied, though not really knowing how to.

He took a step back, looking surprised by my recognition of him. "You know who I am?"

Like who doesn't... "Um, yeah. You're Kylo Ren."

He tilted his helmet forward, as if to nod. "That is correct."

An awkward silence filled the room and the stare off continued. Even the "admiral" and cameraman looked uncomfortable.

Finally, I gathered courage and walked over to him, standing a small distance away. "So who talks first? You talk first, I talk first..."

I was using the same line Poe Dameron, the famous X-Wing pilot from The Force Awakens, did when he first met Kylo. Though Kylo didn't seem to like my joke...

"That's not funny," he plainly stated. A bit harsh for a Disney employee.

"Um, Kylo Ren," the admiral said, trying to hint something to him. "She is our guest, and remember how we treat guests?"

Kylo turned toward the workers and waved his hand. "Leave the room and block anyone from entering."

They suddenly appeared to be tranced. "We will leave the room and block anyone from entering."

Both left through the corridor (the way I came in). I heard a door slide shut and lock. Whoa, cool effects.

"Force Mind trick, impressive," I said to Kylo.

He turned towards me and waved his hand at the exit, the door automatically locking itself. That was also cool, but I now realized he just eliminated both ways for me to leave...though I'm not worried. After all, this is just pretend. He probably did this to everyone that came in here.

Kylo circled me, his mask locked in my direction. "You know me, but not like the way I know you..." He stopped in front of me, basically cornering me against the wall. I bet he loved doing this to people.

"You know who I am?" I asked, playing along.

"Yes. I know more about you than you could ever know."

I giggled. I couldn't help it; this was too awesome.

Kylo POV

I am sick of people laughing at me, and I draw the line here with her. She's going to learn to respect me or severe consequences will follow.

"You find me humorous," I said, my voice deep and stern, making sure she understood. "If you continue to laugh at me, you won't be laughing long."

She immediately calmed down and apologized. Well, that's more like it.

Summer POV

Kylo took a step closer to me. "State your name."

I smirked, crossing my arms, the opportunity too good to resist. "I thought you knew more about me than I could ever know."

He was now just inches from my face. "Do not underestimate my power. Answer my question."

"Summer," I said.

"Very well, Summer." He hissed out my name. "Whose side are you on?"

I raised an eyebrow. "I don't understand."

"Whose side are you on?" His voice sounded more electronic when he got mad. "Do not make me repeat."

Maybe he meant Star Wars related? "Um, Dark Side. I admire the Dark Side." Hopefully that was the right answer.

"Is that the truth?"

I nodded.

It was a moment before he said anything else. I could nearly picture his mind working, processing what I said, figuring what he should do next. Knowing him, it was probably "planning my death".

Kylo slightly backed away, now about a foot from me. This guy doesn't know anything about personal space. "Very well. But I will further test you before our training begins."

I raised an eyebrow. "Um, what training?"

"Have you ever had any kind of interaction with the Resistance?" he inquired, avoiding my question.

This is becoming more like an interrogation than a meet and greet. "Um...I don't believe so."

"Answer me with yes or no."

I shrugged. "No?"

Kylo became silent again before he spoke. "You seem to be unsure about your answer, so I will ask you again. Have you ever had any kind of interaction with the Resistance?"

"No, no kind of interaction at all," I said, trying not to get annoyed with him. He takes his character a bit too seriously.

"I don't appreciate your tone," he said, taking a step back and raising his hand in front of my face. His hand was in a claw formation, as if going to grab me. "You will now learn to respect me."

My head suddenly tightened and I started getting nervous. How is this happening?! He isn't real! "Um, what are you doing..."

Kylo didn't reply, the pain only getting more intense. My head felt as if a boa was constricting it.

Tears began to run down my face from the pain. It was getting unbearable. "Please..."

I suddenly was shoved back against the wall, though he never touched me. I felt paralyzed and couldn't fight back. My body was like a magnet to the wall.

He twisted his wrist and my head shot to the ceiling, feeling him go inside my mind. He was literally in me. This can't be possible.

"Stop! Please! Get out of my head!" I pleaded with what strength I was left with.

He walked up to me, his mask nearly touching my face. "Do not ever underestimate my power."

Kylo suddenly jerked his arm and I was thrown into the corner of the room. But at least he released me.

I sat forward, rubbing my head. What I just experienced I didn't think was possible. And shouldn't be possible.

Kylo Ren doesn't physically exist. Yes, Adam Driver brings him to life, but Kylo still is not an actual human being. He is just a fictional character, a made up fantasy...or so I thought.

And since Kylo is real, then does that mean everything and everyone else in the Star Wars saga is real as well? This is scary.

But what is scarier is the fact I'm currently sitting in a room with a heartless serial killer whose powers could end me at any given moment.

A shadow appeared over me and I hesitantly looked up at him. I wanted to say something but I couldn't find my tongue. I was too shocked that he was reality, and not just a Disney employee wearing a costume.

"You seem surprised by my power," Kylo said, looking down at me. "That was only the brink of what I'm capable of."

Again, I tried to speak but nothing came out.

"I can sense your fear."

Uh, who wouldn't be frightened right now?

"Get up."

I didn't hesitate and immediately stood up, trying to keep distance between him and I. After all, since he was real, then the lightsaber attached to his belt is something else I should fear. I would prefer to keep all my limbs as long as I can.

Despite my attempt to keep space between him and I, Kylo quickly eliminated that, making me back up into the corner. Great.

"I saw visions in your mind," Kylo said, probably referring to my thoughts and memories. "Visions that one should not have unless a witness at the time..." He looked me over, from head to toe. "How do you have so much knowledge of my doings?"

I finally found my tongue. "What 'visions' are you talking about?"

He raised his hand like before and I threw my arms up in defense. "No! Please! I'll cooperate! Just have patience with me!"

He slowly lowered his arm. "You have used nearly all my patience, but I will spare you for now. How do you know of the things I have done?"

It suddenly hit me that he was probably talking about The Force Awakens. The things he saw were memories of the scenes I watched from the movie. Which means those things actually happened, and the other characters exist as well. Gulp.

"I'm awaiting your answer," Kylo said, his voice growling deeper through the helmet.

Okay, I can't just explain that he is a fictional person from a movie that somehow is alive. So...

"Well, it's a bit complicated," I replied, hoping he would like my answer. "For me, it's like...watching a movie. I just...know of some things you did. Not everything, but just a few. Important highlights of your life, you could say. ."

Kylo looked away. "Those are doubtfully important. They're just embarrassing." He turned back to me, breathing heavier. If I could hear it through his mask...it was not a good sign. "But it will never happen again. The Resistance will never overpower the First Order again."

I could see how tense he was getting, which also meant his temper fuse was being lighted. And once it's been lit, you don't want to be anywhere near him until he calms back down. And, just my luck, I'm cornered by him.

"The First Order should have a turn in the spotlight, I agree," I said, trying to calm him down. Mainly for my own life's sake.

"We never should have failed." He gripped his hands into tight fists and I heard something cracking (thankfully it wasn't me).

"Even Darth Vader failed at times." That was the worst thing I possibly could have said.

I found myself suddenly gasping for breath as he extended his arm and Force Choked me. I was lifted from the floor, dangling in midair.

"I'm s-sorry," I managed to say.

Kylo wasn't letting up and I was getting worried.

"I d-didn't...m-mean it..."

My throat only tightened. I couldn't inhale anymore.

"P-Please..." I begged with my last breath.

He suddenly released me and I fell back to the floor, coughing for air.

"Do not ever mention his name to me again," he ordered. "You're lucky I spared you."

Oh trust me, I know how lucky I am to be alive right now. "I won't..." I muttered breathlessly.

Kylo lifted me to my feet with The Force. "Other visions I saw were of the Resistance. Perhaps your knowledge can be of assistance to me."

Anything to get out of the mess I put myself into. "What do you want to know?"

"I am looking for something..."

I already knew what it was. "The map to Luke Skywalker?"

He tilted his head up, looking surprised. "So you know about it?"

I nodded.

Kylo raised his arm again as a threat. "Tell me everything you know or I will get the answers myself."

Although this could possibly hurt the Resistance, if it saves me...

"The BB unit you were after only had a piece of the map," I explained. "But an R2 unit that was sitting dormant at the Resistance base had the remains. Both droids put their maps together and it displayed an accurate route to Luke."

I gave him a moment to process this before I continued. This part he is really going to hate. "Rey, that scavenger girl you met, followed the route and found Luke Skywalker...and she is training with him as we speak."

I heard and saw him breathing harder, his body rising and falling. Oh please calm down...

Kylo grabbed the lightsaber on his belt, holding it out to the side as it extended. It's bright, red glow gave his black costume an eerie appearance. The lightsaber growled out with anger like its master, occasionally sputtering from a cracked kyber crystal.

I nearly swore. His lightsaber is flipping real. And dangerously close to me. This looks like officially the end.

To my surprise, he abruptly turned around and rushed upon the wall across from me with great speed. Screaming out with anger, he lashed horrendous blows to the poor wall with his lightsaber. I covered my face as sparks flew off from the contact.

Finally, I heard Kylo stopped, probably worn out from his tantrum. I peaked out from behind my hands and saw what was left of the wall. Disney is definitely going to have to remodel in here...

Kylo just stared at the debris, almost as if feeling guilty for causing it (though I seriously doubt it). His lightsaber remained extended at his side, which didn't make me feel much better. To think about all the people that have been slaughtered by it just sickened me. I don't want to be next.

I glanced to the right and saw a bright red "Exit" sign hanging above a door on the opposite end of the room. That was my ticket out. But I remembered Kylo locked it earlier with The Force, so I wasn't sure if I could get it open. But it's worth a try. Anything beats just standing here asking for death.

The good thing was he had his back to me, but his Force was strong enough to sense my movement. Though he seems pretty entranced by the wall's crumbled remains (for whatever reason) so that may help me.

Nearly holding my breath from nerves, I slowly took one step to my right, keeping myself pressed against the wall. I paused after, making sure Kylo didn't notice me.

He didn't even move. Maybe this will work after all.

I took another step, pausing again before taking another. I didn't want to rush, thinking that moving slowly would prevent his Force from not sensing me. In all honesty, I have no idea how The Force actually works, but walking slowly seems smarter than running.

I was now halfway across the room, feeling a small bit of confidence that my plan just might work since Kylo seemed obsolete to everything but the wall debris.

I reached the corner of the room and stopped, knowing this part will be tricky. The door was in front of me, about five yards away, so I would have to take my back off the wall and walk across the open floor.

The hard part is I would be in Kylo's peripheral vision. If his Force doesn't sense me, his eyes might. I didn't know how much viewing area his mask actually had, but I wasn't taking any chances.

I stepped away from the wall and paused, hesitantly glancing over at Kylo. He thankfully still didn't notice.

Slowly but surely I made it across the floor, now in front of the door. This is incredible. I can't believe this actually worked.

I grabbed the doorknob and suddenly felt dizzy and faint. Next thing I knew, my legs went out from under me and I collasped onto the floor, going completely unconscious.

Kylo POV

I waved my hand at Summer with a smirk, watching her faint from my powers. Did she seriously think I didn't know she was sneaking past me? My Force felt her moving from the first step she took, I just wanted to see where she thought she could go.

I retracted my lightsaber and attached the hilt to my belt as I walked over to her.

"You will not escape me that easily," I said to her unconscious body. "In time you will see the true power of the Dark Side and rise to power beneath me..."

* * * *

"Hold her up," I ordered the Stormtroopers (the same two from earlier).

They obeyed, each grabbing an arm and lifting Summer up onto her unstable legs.

I stood in front of her and waved my hand in front of her face.

Summer POV

I suddenly came to consciousness, finding myself being held up by two Stormtroopers, one on each side of me. Once my eyes focused, I saw I was still in Kylo Ren's meet and greet room, everything the same way it was before. Including Kylo standing in front of me.

"You were foolish to think you could escape," he said condescendingly.

I sighed, glancing at my restrained arms by the Stormtroopers. There seriously was no way I'm getting out of this.

"What is it you want with me?" I asked him, not caring at this point if he gets angry. If he's going to kill me, my attitude towards him doesn't matter.

Kylo didn't immediately answer. "I want you on my side."

Kylo POV

Summer's Force is stronger than I had presumed. Her visions are powerful and could potentially be of use to the First Order. I can feel the Force within her, waiting to be brought out. However, I can clearly see she does not realize that she has this great power.

I must turn her to the Dark Side before she realizes her true potential.

Summer POV

"I'm never joining your side," I replied in a determined tone.

"I disagree." Wow, how bold.

"Kylo, we both know that you can't force someone to turn to the Dark Side."

Kylo seemed shocked I pointed that out. He stepped right up to my face, just like he has been doing pretty much since I walked in here. "Well, we will see about that..."

He looked up at his Stormtroopers. "It's time to leave. Restrain her until we reach my Command Shuttle."

Wait, what?! "Hold on, are you kidnapping me?!" I exclaimed, hoping I was wrong.

Kylo waved his hand at me and said, "You will not speak."

My mouth suddenly glued shut. I couldn't even scream. Now I was panicking. This seriously cannot be happening!

He crossed the room and opened a hidden door in the wall, a Disney employee exit when they switch out characters for a break. He exited first and the Stormtroopers followed, dragging me along. I tried to resist at first, but once one pointed his blaster at me...I walked right along with them.

The hallway was surprisingly empty; where were all the Disney employees? I then remembered that Kylo Ren tends to kill anyone that annoys him...

We passed a lunch room full of workers, all too busy eating or talking to notice the four of us walking by. And I can't even call out for help. Just perfect.

Finally, after what seemed like walking down an endless hallway, we reached a door that led to an exit of the Launch Bay. Once through that door, I have a feeling I'm never going to see this place again. Or just my life basically.

The Stormtroopers held me back as Kylo walked up to a keypad hanging on a wall. Right before he touched it, the door suddenly opened, slamming him back against the wall.

The Disney worker stared wide-eyed at the Stormtroopers and me. "Um...what is going on-"

Kylo shoved the door off him, slamming it shut, hiding the Disney employees' parking lot. He was breathing harder, but at least his anger will not be directed towards me this time.

The worker eyed him over. "Man, what is wrong with you? You do know that this girl is not supposed to be back here, right?"

Kylo waved his hand and the worker fainted right before my eyes. If I had a voice, I would have screamed.

Kylo looked over to me, studying me for a moment before going back to the keypad. He typed in a code and walked out the door, the Stormtroopers pushing me out right behind him. But what I saw wasn't a parking lot...

I couldn't believe my eyes. The parking lot just changed into an actual shipyard. There were TIE Fighters lining each side along with a few Stormtrooper Transporters, but in the middle...Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle. It was so much larger than I ever imagined. Its wings seemed to touch the clouds, even while just sitting still.

Stormtroopers and First Order personnel glared at me as I walked past. I don't know why. I'm human beings just like them.

With Kylo still leading, the Stormtroopers walked me across the space port, stopping in front of his Command Shuttle.

The Dark Jedi Knight turned around and waved his hand at me. "You may now speak."

I gasped, finally able to open my mouth. Thank goodness.

"How did a parking lot suddenly shift into a loading zone?" I asked him, still in awe over everything.

"That is classified," he harshly replied. He looked at his Stormtroopers. "Search her, then bring her aboard."

Oh my gosh, he isn't serious.

A steel hatch lowered from his Command Shuttle and Kylo Ren boarded, leaving me alone with the two Stormtroopers. Yep, he is serious.

One stormtrooper held both arms behind my back as the other searched me.

"You better watch your hands," I warned, giving him an icy glare.

He stood back up, holding his blaster at my neck. "And you better watch your attitude."

I swallowed back my fear, pretending that didn't bother me. "Fair enough."

"She's clear," the Stormtrooper said to his partner. "I have to file a report so take her on board."

The second Stormtrooper shoved me up the lowered hatch and onto the Command Shuttle. There appeared to be two rooms: the front was for the pilot (only a doorway's view was available), and the back was for the passengers. There were booths aligned along each wall in the back room, which the Stormtrooper forced me to sit down on.

"Hold out your hands," he ordered.

I did as he said and he cuffed me with a restraint I have never seen before. They were like handcuffs, but more advanced. Thicker. Stronger. Not your average metal.

"Sit here while I tell the pilot you're on board," the Stormtrooper demanded. How bossy. "Don't be trying anything funny because we'll catch you."

He left the room and I groaned, leaning my head back against the wall. Tears formed in my eyes thinking about what happened. Kylo Ren is real. He has a strong desire for me to be on his side, but why? Why am I so important? He's even going the extra mile and taking me into space-

Wait a minute. I'm going into space. Oh no. This really is a problem now. Even if I somehow manage to escape, how can I get back home?!

Tears ran down my face as I thought about never seeing my family or friends again, never getting my life back...what did I do to deserve this...

"Welcome aboard."

I opened my eyes to see the famed "creature behind a mask" looking down at me. I quickly dried my tears, not wanting to show weakness to him.

"Such a kind welcome." Please note my sarcasm.

Kylo ignored it. "Do you like my Command Shuttle?"

I nodded, not wanting to anger or offend him. It was pretty cool, I'll give him that. But... "It would be better if I wasn't your prisoner."

"You are my guest," he corrected. "Make yourself comfortable. We will be at our destination soon."

"Where are you taking me?" I inquired, trying not to start crying again in front of him.

"You will see soon enough."

He turned around to head back into the pilot's cockpit but I called for him."Kylo Ren?"

I tried to sound as sweet and innocent as I could. No matter how evil he says (or thinks) he is, I know beneath all that there is probably some form of light.

Kylo deeply sighed, a weird sound coming from his helmet. Almost sounded like Darth Vader's breathing. Okay, now that makes sense.

He looked halfway back at me. "Yes?"

He probably didn't want to hear this. "Um, here's the thing...I get motion sickness really easily."

Kylo fully turned back to me, and although I couldn't see his face, I guarantee there was a "you have to be kidding me" expression.

I shrugged. "I can't promise I won't get sick on the way up."

He marched back to me and waved his hand, my mind suddenly feeling faint. Oh no not again.

Kylo POV

I quickly leaned over and caught her in my arms as she fell forward, gently lying her unconscious body back down on the booth. There. Now let's see you get sick.

I ordered a Stormtrooper to keep an eye on her as I walked into the cockpit, sitting down in an open chair in between, and a bit behind, the pilot and copilot. I like a front seat view when traveling. It made it more interesting.

Both turned around in their chairs and saluted me, once they noticed I was in here. I am silent and sneaky like a ninja, what can I say?

"Sir, permission to take off when given the clear from the base," the pilot requested of me.

"Permission granted."

They went back to the computers, pressing buttons and flipping switches.

I stifled back a yawn. I can't be tired. Sith Lords don't get tired. I mentally slapped myself back awake.

The engines started up, giving the ship a light vibration. I heard the wings extend and the cabin despressurized.

The Command Shuttle slowly rose off the ground, averting itself to face towards the sky. The wings tilted themselves at an angle as the ship gained speed into the air. Within minutes, we broke earth's atmosphere and were off into space.

"Prepare for light speed," the pilot cautioned over the intercom.

I buckled my seat belt. I was used to the effects so that was all I needed.

The ship suddenly took off at light speed, zooming through space at a rate so fast everything outside became a blue blur. It was a cool sight to see, if you didn't see it all the time like me.

"Alert General Hux of our arrival," I ordered the copilot, who wasted no time jumping to his task. I like when people did that. I don't put up with slackers.

It would be a while before we reached the Unknown Regions, where our Star Detroyer, the Finalizer, was drifting peacefully along. I have learned to call Hux's junky ship (in my opinion) home until a new base is built.

So...home, junky home here I come.

Hi guys, sorry it took so long for the first chapter. As you can see it's quite long...though it was hard for me to describe how Summer and Kylo Ren met. I had to get it just right so the rest of the book would make sense. The display of their thoughts toward one another was crucially important.

But I hope you enjoy it :)

Next chapter is coming soon!

Here's an awesome pic of the Dark Warrior himself ;)
