Amora

A small smile was constantly plastered onto face as I thought to myself. Walking down the hall and towards the lockers.

It felt super nice to actually help people. I had to give myself snaps for all of the good deeds I was doing.

From helping Smalls and Carrie to now helping Mads break out of her shell.

I was way proud of myself, and I couldn't even believe I was saying this but I wanted to do more.

"I promise you'll love them! They're like Carrie and I's best friends! Aside from each other" I nodded my head, hoping that I sounded convincing enough.

"Yeah! They're a little weird and gross sometimes but still, they're very sweet once you get to know them" Carrie explained, smiling wide at her.

"Yeah.. beware they may try too hit on you but just ignore it. They're horny little dogs that drool over every female in sight" I informed, rolling my eyes at the thought.

Madeline looked between us both, hesitantly nodding as we approached the lot.

Immediately once we walked in I spotted the group out on the field too deep in their game to notice our arrival.

"Hey guys!" Carrie called out, waving at them too catch their attention.

Immediately once they looked over their mouths completely dropped at the sight of Madeline. Of course, except yeah-yeah and Benny or else Carrie and I would've completely had to beat them down six feet under.

"Guys! This is Madeline, you punks better be nice?" I rose an eyebrow at them, before placing my hand onto mads back.

Maddy visibly looked nervous and intimidated by all of their stares making me shoot the boys a look to quit it.

"What! What makes you think we would anything but nice?" Hams exclaimed, as they all slowly made their way over towards us.

"Uh..hello? Maybe the fact how you knuckleheads acted the first time Carrie and I came here?" I perked up an eyebrow, crossing my arms.

"Hey-that's in the past, you're like our sister now!" Kenny exclaimed, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"Oh, how nice" I rolled my eyes sarcastically, before turning back over towards mads.

Immediately I noticed the tension between Madeleine and Bertram, their cheeks were pink and blushed and they couldn't stop glancing at each other.

"Mads" I whispered, waving my hand to call her over."That's Bertram. I bet he's just as interested" I continued, glancing back over towards him.

Her eyes widened and her face fell into total shock. "W-what I don't like him" she stammered, shaking her head in denial.

"Oh don't even play? I see those eyes you two are giving each other!" I smiled, rubbing her shoulder.

"You should talk to him" I suggested, glancing back to see the group all sat at the dugout chattering away in their own conversations.

She bit her lip nervously glancing back towards him before slowly nodding and walking over.

I watched her walk away towards him with Carrie and I huddling up as we awed at the sight of them.

I smiled proudly to myself before feeling a tap on my shoulder making me turn around to see Benny.

"Oh Benny look! Aren't they adorable?" I pulled him over, motioning towards two.

"Sure, I've never seen his face that red and his mouth so quiet?" he laughed, shrugging as we watched.

Carrie and I continued to whisper to each other as we watched the pair in excitement before Benny spoke up again.

"Amora? I uh wanted to ask if you want too.. I don't know we can go get ice cream or something. Alone?" He asked, looking down as he fiddled with the mitt on his hand.

"Sure. Carrie, you better fill me in on everything that happens with them?" I ordered, turning towards her as I smiled excitedly.

"Duh. You already know I will!" She laughed, before walking off and sitting down with the rest of them.

I smiled turning back towards Benny, taking his hand before walking out of the lot.

——

"C'mon try it! I swear it's not bad!" I insisted, pushing the spoon towards him.

"No! That's like toothpaste and chocolate! That's not a good mix" Benny shook his head, scrunching his face up in disgust.

"No it's not you bonehead! Please try it, I promise you'll like it" I pouted, attempting to hand him back the spoon.

He sighed before finally taking it and sticking it into his mouth, leaving me to stare at him waiting eagerly for his reaction.

I smiled seeing he hadn't completely spit it out yet making me clap my hands in victory."I knew it! It's not bad right?" I smiled happily, taking the spoon back from him.

He stared at me for a moment before rolling his eyes and shamefully nodding.

"I told you, oh you should've never ever doubted me" I shook my head, sticking my spoon back into the ice cream.

"By the way, I'm sorry for flaking out on you on Saturday. I was just way excited too get Natalia into my clothes, I forgot that I completely left you?" I rambled, slumping down in my seat sadly.

"It's ok. I'm happy you guys are getting along. Now you won't freak out thinking they hate you, which they don't. At all" he smiled, grabbing onto my hand.

I smiled when he pecked the top of my hand, something I began too notice that he liked to do a lot.

Slowly his eyes flickered down from my eyes too my neck, cracking a small smile."You're wearing the necklace"

I looked down only being able to see just the charm on my chest, nodding with a smile.

"Well duh, why wouldn't I? You gave it too me genius" I shrugged, cracking a light smile.

He smiled, shrugging lightly as he looked down to the cup of ice cream on the table."I don't know. I know you like all those expensive stuff... I just didn't expect you to actually want to wear it"

I frowned, shaking my head as I reached over and grabbed onto his hand."Benny, you can give me anything. And I'd love it. Don't even say that"

He nodded, cracking a small smile once I reached over and pecked his cheek.

I sighed as I looked up to see the sky beginning to darken, signaling me that it was time to start heading home.

"Benny, I kinda have too go. Pops doesn't like when I'm out at night too late" I looked over, frowning once I delivered the news.

He nodded understandably making us both stand up and throw our cups into the garbage can on the way out.

On our walk back to my house I continued to ramble to him about how cute Bertram and Madeline were and my plans to bring them together.

Madeline has complained about feeling too "single and lonely" so of course I wanted to help her out.

Once we approached the house I slowed down my pace and looked over towards Benny.

"Remember when you tripped over the mailbox, you were acting like a nervous wreck that night?" I laughed, pointing over at the box with the memory reoccurring in my mind.

"Yeah, I remember. I barely realized I liked you, I was nervous too be around you" he shrugged, looking down with a smile.

"Awe, how sweet" I stifled a sarcastic laugh, smirking lightly as I nudged his arm to tease him

"Yeah ok, whatever" he rolled his eyes, cracking a small smile.

I let out a sad sigh looking back to the house before glancing towards him."I should go, he's probably already ripping his hair out that I'm not home yet" I sighed, looking up towards him with a frown.

"See you tomorrow?" I suggested, cracking a light smile as I stared at him.

He nodded, sending me a smile back."I... yeah I'll see you tomorrow" he coughed, stuffing his hands into his pockets with a nod.

I rose an eyebrow, titling my head at his hesitance before shrugging and turning around.

I stepped up onto the porch steps before hearing him let out a soft scoff, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion I paused and turned back around.

"What?" I questioned, turning around to see his expression.

"Uh.. did you forget something?" He questioned, knitting his eyebrows in confusion.

I titled my head, thinking to myself before shaking my head. "No? This time I made sure to not leave my wallet again. See?" I dig into my bag, holding it up with a smile.

He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. "Oh my god, you can't be serious?"

"Benny I don't-

I paused once it clicked in my mind making me instantly roll my eyes and groan.

I threw my head back with a huff, stepping down the steps and back towards him, pecking his lips before shaking my head.

"There you complete moron?" I sighed, stepping back as I threw my hands up.

"Mhm, now you can go" he smiled, nodding his head in approval.

"You're annoying" I muttered, rolling my eyes as I turned around.

I sighed, shaking my head before giving him one final smile and wave, turning around and walking over towards the house.
