Chapter 17 Raiden Family

So to alleviate some confusion, I will call:

Theresa (Future world Theresa Apocalypse)

Aunt Teri (Current world Theresa)

Until they change their name.

About the room, just imagine a hotel lobby sofa layout with enough seating space to accommodate the number of people here. Paintings are hung on the wall and flower pots can carpet are placed in the strategic location making it feels like a very luxurious living room, with a hospital bed in it.

"So starting off I want to address the elephant in the room, why are we here in this timeline, I am sure most of you guys are asking that, but the fact is, I personally don't really know why we are here in this timeline but the one who sent us here is the one and only [Will of the Honkai], Honkai-chan for short." Liana started explaining to the people inside the room.

"Wait, [Will of the Honkai]? it that the same person that I think it is?" Theresa asked as she stops drinking the bitter melon juice that is given by Aunt Teri from her stash somewhere.

Some say that underneath the heavily defended AE base, there is a hidden cellar that is quite recently built. People speculate on what is inside that it needed to be put in such a secret and defended location but some say that the day the cellar is built is the day after the group arrived in the base back then, surely it has nothing to do with Aunt Teri right? maybe.

Jokes aside, the expression of the [Future Girls] was very tense after the revelation. But there is one person who is still remaining calm, Durandal.

"Ehem, before you continue your explanation Kiana, oh sorry Liana, shouldn't you address an even bigger elephant in the room?" Durandal interjects breaking the tense atmosphere.

"Eh? what is it nee-san?" Liana answers, clearly not understanding what thing is more important than the reason that they traveled to the past.

"Maybe you could introduce us to everybody in this room from this timeline" Durandal said matter of factly.

"Oh, I forgot, ehe~" Liana said goofily

"*sigh, you can't expect much from nee-san's brain, especially after getting fried by the reason core" Sirin sighed.

"Hey, I am not dumb" Liana interjects immediately trying to defend her intelligence

"Anyway.." Sirin, with no regard for Liana's interjection, continues on, "I will start by introducing myself, I am Sirin Kaslana, the second daughter of the Kaslana family, and the Herrscher of the Void."

As Sirin said that, all eyes moved toward her. Although the future girls already know that this world's Sirin is benign, they still can't be relaxed in front of her, especially Theresa who is directly on the ground when the second eruption happens, killing Cecilia and countless others and rendering the Siberian region almost impossible to be habited.

"This is Bella, my servant," Sirin said as she points to Bella who is holding Kiana as she sits next to Liana on the bed. "and that is Avrora, which is nee-san's servant" pointing to Avrora who is sitting on a chair next to Liana's bed.

"Please to meet you" Bella said in response

"Thank you for taking care of Queen Mother until now" Avrora stands and bows towards the [Future Girls] who is seated on the sofa.

"Wait, don't call me that" Liana exclaimed at Avrora

"Queen Mother? please give an explanation Ki..Liana" Bronya said.

"Uhmm, the thing is..." Liana tries to explain

"We decided to call her that because at first we thought that since Queen Mother has the same powers as our Queen, she should be the Queen's daughter, the princess, but we decided to call her Queen Mother since she is technically older than our Queen." Avrora answered confidently

"I see, it seems reasonable that if the successor is older than the predecessor it could cause confusion" Fu Hua said in agreement.

"Speaking of confusion shouldn't we discuss on what we should call you guys? since it would be weird to call you Theresa and both of you respond" Cecilia said.

"Oh yeah, maybe we should call you a nun-y-sounding name huh?" Siegfried said

"How about Maria? I kinda like the sound of that name, just add it in front of Theresa and we can call you Mari" Aunt Teri said

"Hmmm, it's ok I guess, Maria Theresa Apocalypse, kind of a nice sounding name" Mari said

"Yup, we can both be number one cuties in the world, Mari and Teri" Aunt Teri stands raising her hand up.

"Yeah" Mari stands too and they both hi-fived

After they have their exchange done, they both go back to sit in their original spot.

"Well maybe I should go next, hello, I am Cecilia Schariac, the mother of Liana, Sirin, and Kiana, and this is my husband Siegfried Kaslana" Cecilia introduces herself and her husband

"Cecilia, I am relieved that you are alive in this timeline, I hope my grandfather hasn't done anything to you right?" Mari asked worriedly

"I am fine now The.. Mari, still getting used to call you that" Cecilia answered, "I guess I must thank Liana for it"

"Yeah, don't worry Mari, if that bas.. very disagreeable blond man were to touch anyone of my family, I will show him what hell looks like" Siegfried said successfully dodging a potential lecture from not only Cecilia and Teri, but also Mari.

"Hello, I am Kiana" Kiana suddenly interrupt the conversation. She had been preoccupied with playing with Bella's hair, now that she has done playing, her focus is on the group.

"..." Mei stared blankly at the kid, seemingly unable to accept the reality of meeting such a cute little Kiana.

"Oooh, I see, so this must be what I look like when I was 2" Durandal commented with curiosity

"Ahhh, you must be the real Kiana that was tinkered with by Otto?" Kira asked

"Yes, I am, and although I kind of known you obviously not you of this world, Shigure Kira and Shub Niggurath, please to meet you" Durandal said.

Then Tesla and Einstein introduce themselves, including FuHhua, Bronya, and Mei.

"I am formerly phoenix and the celestial, Fu Hua" Fu Hua introduces herself.

"I am Bronya, Herrscher of Reason" Bronya briefly said

"I am Raiden Mei, Herrscher of Thunder, please to make your acquaintance" Raiden Mei stands and bowed

"Ah, so you guys must be Liana's Herrscher classmate? that cause quite a trouble for Mari?" Teri asked

"Da, we are, and Nyet, the only one causing trouble is Liana" Bronya immediately interjects

"Hey, if only I could see I would kick your ass Bratnya" Liana faces towards Bronya voice's direction

"I will wait for that day patiently than Liana" Bronya confidently said

"Bronya-neesan, Liana is sick, we shouldn't do anything that can harm her" the angelic Seele said to Bronya

"Seele, I knew you were on my side, let's team up and kick Bratnya's ass" Liana touched by Seele's worry

"Uhmmm, from the beginning I was wondering, I heard time travel, future, and the like mentioned here, I assume you are my daughter Mei?" Raiden Ryoma cut the quarrel between Liana and Bronya, maybe because he is perplexed at seeing the grown-up version of his daughter, or that he just has enough of the pair's fight, who knows?

"Yes, I am father, glad to see you again" Mei said

"Uh yes" Raiden Ryoma answer awkwardly not sure how to talk to his suddenly adult daughter. Plus, either due to Mei's merger with the thunder's persona or the fact that he is not really her father, she is rather distant.

"Hey Mei, shouldn't you also get a new name? since you know, your small self is still alive" Mari asked Mei, trying to break the awkwardness between the two.

"I guess I should" Mei said as she tries to think of a name for herself

"How about Ei?" Ryoma said

Mei looked at her father

"Well, if I had a second daughter, me and Aoi already planned on calling her Ei, so maybe you should take on that name" Ryoma said

"I don't mind the name, by the way, the Aoi you mention must be my mother?" Ei asked

"Yes" Ryoma said in a confused tone since he is wondering why his daughter would ask him her mother's name until it occurred to him "Ah! I guess Aoi died in your timeline?"

"Died when I was young, never remembered her, plus you don't want to talk about her to me after the incident so I just move on" Ei said

"Ah I see" Ryoma said as silence permeates the room

"Ehem, anyways good to meet you Me... Ei-senpai's father, I hope that we can meet in better circumstances but what can we do" Liana, couldn't stand the awkward silence, decided to continue "So, introduction aside, let's talk about how Honkai-chan transported us into this world, I asked her the last time I had cake at her place and..."

"Wait, so you met the Will of the Honkai?" Mari asked very surprisedly

"and you have a picnic at her place?" Ei said in an astonished tone

"Oh, ehehe, it's not a big deal" Liana said blushingly

"I think what Ei and the principal said is not a compliment Liana" Bronya said coldly "Only an idiotka would be able to have a picnic with the will of the honkai herself"

"Well, maybe that is her strength? even though she is a clone of me, I still will need some more research on how Liana's thought process works." Durandal added

"Leaving your tendencies to eat aside Liana, what do you get from talking with the will of the honkai" Fu Hua asked

"Ok, so basically the world is this branch thing right and then ...." Liana explained to them about her conversation with Honkai-chan

"I see, so judging from your story, it seems that Honkai-chan for some reason took a liking to you and do all this thing to try to see what will happen if you were given a chance to return to the past?" Mari summarized

"Probably" Liana answered

"Ok, moving on, why are you blind Liana? are you injured in a fight?" Ei asked worriedly

"Oh this is just temporary, it is just that a part of my brain is fried after trying to absorb the reason core of this world, so I am blind for the time being" Liana explained

"It is an experiment we initiated to see what would happen to Liana when we gave her the reason core, and it kind of goes wrong and it evolves Liana into a being not yet known to man." Tesla added

"What do you mean evolve?" Ei asked

"Her main diet is Honkai fuel rods, she can't eat human food" Einstein directly lay out her condition

"Yeah, and they tasted like chicken nuggets" Liana added, not understanding the worried and stunned expression on Mari and the rest's faces, obviously because she is blind.

"Anyways, her vision will slowly regain itself as the part of the brain heals, but we suspect that she will need to wear that visor for the foreseeable future since her eyes radiate a high level of Honkai energy" Tesla said

"About the reason core Liana, when you absorb it, do you feel anything unusual other than burning a part of your small brain?" Bronya ask

"A small part of my brain, watch the placement of the word, it can change the meaning Bronya" Liana said, obviously to the other people in the room, it is clear that Bronya meant what she was saying, but they decide to just shut up and let Liana misunderstands. "Not really, I can't think of anything"

"Hmmm, I see" Bronya looks at Liana closely seemingly unconvinced but decided to not proceed with her questioning.

Just as the atmosphere gets awkward again, the door is knocked, and a woman who is holding a child comes into the room with some AE members staying back and closing the doors for her.

The woman looked very similar to Ei, they can be mistaken as sisters.

"Aoi, are you ok? Did the doctor says you can walk around now?" Ryoma rushed and hugged her.

"Dad, get off me" The small kid said as she is being squeezed by the two adults

"Dear, Mei and I are fine, the doctor says that we are free from the long-term effects of radiation sickness." Aoi said. As she said that, she looked toward Ei, a bit shocked to see someone so close to looking like her.

Ei stands up and bows "Greetings Mother" after that said, sits down again.

Aoi is stuned, who is this girl calling her Mother? she didn't remember giving birth to such an adult child before.

"Ah, Aoi, listen to me ok, it turns out that she is from the future and comes back here with a few of her friends, I know it is a bit crazy, but trust me that she is our daughter." Ryoma tries to reassure her. Hundred percent sure that she is thinking about what makes her husband lose his mind, to be able to say something like that.

"fufufu, I guess we can both be a future child's mom, the one in the bed is my child from the future also, Liana" Cecilia walks towards the stunned woman. "I'm Cecilia Schariac by the way, pleased to meet you"

"Ah, the famous Cecilia-sama, pleased to meet you, I'm Raiden Aoi" Aoi regain her composure and greet Cecilia as she lowers Mei down.

"By the way, how old is your child? I have a child who is two right now, Kiana? come here" Cecilia calls Kiana from the bed.

Sirin noticed that her sister might not be able to get out of bed in a safe manner decides to teleport her sister to Cecilia's arms, to Aoi's surprise.

"Sirin Nee-san, do it again" Kiana exclaimed in joy after being teleported

"Teleporting is not for playing Kiana" Sirin replied

"Thanks Sirin" Cecilia smiles as she sets Kiana down

"What was that?" Aoi asked scaredly

"That was Sirin and Liana Nee-san's power, they can teleport things and float in the air" Kiana explains enthusiastically

"Well Raiden-san, my daughters can be a bit abnormal in that both of them are Herrschers, one from the present day, and one from the future." Cecilia laughs like having Herrscher daughters is not a big deal, granted this comes from a woman who can eat Siegfried's world-ending cooking, that means she isn't mentally weak, or maybe she is just weird, who knows?

Aoi though, is not Cecilia, she definitely doesn't think that Herrscher daughters as not a big deal.

"Well, I don't think I can think of myself having a Herrscher daughter so I can see why you are probably more easily accepting your child from the future. But at least they are similar to the sovereign in that they protect humanity, not like the second Herrscher recently" Aoi said with a sigh of relieve.

"Well, that second Herrscher you talking about is the same Cecilia's daughter who teleported Kiana just now" Einstein drops a bombshell

Aoi.exe stops working

"Aoi, hey are you ok?" Ryoma tries to get his wife to reboot

While all this is going on...

"Hello, I'm Kiana" Kiana grabs Mei's hands and shakes it

"Uh.. I..I'm Mei" Mei shyly reply forced to shake hands with the white-haired brute

"Hey, let's play, Sirin Nee-san is a bit stingy but I'm sure Liana Nee-san will let us teleport around" Kiana said as she drags the older Mei toward the bed

"Ah, wait" Mei is forced to follow this little troublemaker and they made their way to the bed.

"Liana Nee-san, can you teleport us?" Kiana said standing beside the bed, still holding Mei's arm.

"Sure, why not?" Liana said as she prepares to snap her fingers

"Wait, Liana" Ei comes and lifted both Mei and Kiana onto the bed. "Liana, Mei is just a normal human, she is not innately Honkai-resistant like Kiana, don't teleport her using your portals". She scolded Liana

"Sorry, Ei-senpai, I am not thinking straight" Liana apologizes

Mei looked at the person who just lifted her up, a person similar to her mother.

"Hello Mei, I'm Ei your older sister" Ei decided to introduce herself

"Older sister?" Mei said in disbelief. She always wanted to have a sister. The children's stories her mother read to her sometimes have siblings in them. She wondered what it will feel like to have someone like that.

"Yup, you can call me Ei Nee-san if you like" Ei said as she smiles softly

"Ei Nee-san" Mei beamed with joy and jumped into Mei's arms. Kiana looking jealous, decided to hug Liana, who the latter gladly reciprocate.

After Aoi has rebooted/regained her composure.

"Well, as long as she posed no threats to humanity I guess it is fine. I am very much amazed at you Cecilia-sama, having Herrscher child must not be easy as they might be used by other people for nefarious means" Aoi said to Cecilia

"Well you got used to it, it is added to the fact that Liana is already an adult so it is not really a difficult thing to take care of. I am sure you will be able to adapt quickly to having a Herrscher as a daughter, plus I could help you to give some tips and tricks." Cecilia said

"Fufufu, I will passed that offer Cecilia-sama, I don't plan on having a Herrscher daughter anytime soon" Aoi said

"Well, you probably will face that situation sooner than you expected" Tesla said

"Eh? What do you mean Tesla?" Aoi said

"Mom, mom, I got an older sister" Mei said beaming with happiness as Ei carries her and walked toward Aoi

"Mei!" Aoi finally notices that her child is not near her but rather in her supposed future daughter's arms. "Uhmm, Ei is it? I... uh.. I don't think I can accept you as my daughter right now, I need some time to process this, but thanks for taking care of Mei when I was inattentive."

"Don't worry about it mother, take your time, I'm sure it is a shock to you. Even I, never thought that I would return to the past" Ei said calmly

"Now that all is done and dusted, could you spare some time Ei?" Tesla asked

"Sure, what for?" Ei said

"We need to test your Herrscher powers, since we haven't had the Third Herrscher, Herrscher of Thunder here, we might be able to better prepare ourselves when the Third eruption occurs" Tesla said

"Although we think that since you guys are here, there is a possibility that there will be no third eruption, but we think it is wise to just prepare for it since it will be too late once the eruption has taken place." Einstein added

"Sure, just tell me when you want to do this test" Ei said agreeing to the plan

"Wait...wait, sorry, I must have been hearing wrong, the...there is no way that you are.... a Herrscher right Ei?" Aoi said frightenedly, hoping that her hypothesis is somehow wrong and all of this is just her misunderstanding.

"I am" Ei said matter-of-factly

Those two words hits Aoi on her weakest point, scoring a critical hit.
