Chapter 11 - 간호사 (GAN-HO-SA)[Nurse]

19:03, 9 September 2017

I woke up after what felt like two seconds of rest and changed into my skinny blue jeans, a flowy red cold shoulder crop top and red high converse. I put on some nude makeup, knowing I would be glammed up at the main building for the MV and grabbed my backpack before heading out of the dorm; placing a note on the coffee table in front of Jungkook's sleeping form to remind him I left. I slowly shut the door and walked down the stairs and across the street to the restaurant to see Soba-san cook as lively as ever so early in the morning.

"Ohayo Soba-san!"I greet, walking in and cutting vegetables right after washing my hands.

"Ohayo Roxi! How was your day yesterday?"

We had small conversations as we cooked together, the chattering of idols showing it was time for the breakfast rush. She immediately told me to sit down outside and eat some food so I could hurry and get to BigHit on time. I nod and walk outside with my plain american breakfast and quickly devoured it and ran out the door to my motorcycle before anyone could ask me any questions. I was way too excited for my music video shooting to even greet anyone as I hurried into the set. My mouth agape at the scene.

"What do you think?"asked my manager, breaking away from the director who called for everyone to get ready for the first scene.

The room looked like the typical rich female's bedroom, with just a splash of blue. The fake sunlight from the windows glared into the camera. The overhanging curtains on the huge king bed made the scene look magical, dare I say it...princess-y. The scene right next to it was a set of a park swingset, only being lit by a stage light that acted like a street lamp. Right next to that was a set that resembled a club, with full on lit dance floor tiles, a play bar, and a DJ stage with laser lights and strobes.

"So here is what it will look like. You'll start off as the innocent girl in the bedroom set. As you switch choruses this set will look torn apart and you need to use your acting skills to break objects around you with fury and rage to make the viewer question your innocence. The choruses will be overlayed with you in the bedroom and in the park, singing on the swing. Showing loneliness and the feeling of losing your love. The last chorus will be played in the club where you will be seen all broken hearted, but you calm yourself down by drinking and dancing. Thus, finding someone new as the song stops."she explains, out of breath by the end of the extensive plan."That's essentially what your MV is about."

"Woah...it's perfect."I gasp, hugging her and jumping like a child.

"Roxi! Get ready for the first scene!"

"Okay!"

~Time Skip~

"Yus! Done!"I cheer, wiping off the thick makeup from my last scene.

"The footage is great Roxi."smiles the director."We'll be able to edit it through by the end of tomorrow and then you're all set for your debut."

"Yay! Thank you so much!"I thank, bowing to everyone.

They all gave me tired smiles, the late hour finally sinking into everyone. It was already around twelve in the morning. We've been filming ever since noon. To be honest, I'm surprised it took this quick. I left the main building and ride towards a nearby udon shop near my dorm, I knew the restaurant would be closed by now. I walked into the restaurant after parking my motorcycle across the street, taking note that I was the only person in the room.

"Hello, can I take a large bowl to go."I order at the front, the man nodding and taking my order as I pay.

I waited at the front, ignoring the stares I got from passerbys outside. I guess the outfit I'm wearing was a bit much. I was too lazy to change out of the black dress from my last scene, so I decided to wear it. I facepalmed mentally and took my order. I hurried out, careful to keep away the unwanted attention I was getting. The door was pushed open and as I crossed the sidewalk two men walked up to me, looking rather drunk and flirty.

"Hey there beautiful, we were wondering if you were up for some fun tonight."winked one wearing almost all back."You just look so fucking hot in that dress."

I kept walking across the empty street only for the other man wearing grey to grab my wrist, pulling me back into his chest as I try to keep my cool so I wouldn't start a fight."You're so cute. The quiet ones are always the loudest am I right?"

They both laugh and a hand drags dangerously close to my waist as I snap."Thanks but no thanks."

I slap both their arms off and walk as quiet as I could in the black heels I was wearing. The loud footsteps behind me were followed by a rough push to the ground and a firm grip on my arm that would definitely leave a bruise. One of the men grabbed my face, turning it towards him so our eyes met.

"You better listen to us before we hurt you."he growls, slapping my cheek with all his strength right after that I could feel it welt against my tussled hair.

I've clearly had enough when I push both men down with all my strength and kicked the one who slapped me in 'that area' before grabbing my unattended food and taking off my heels so I could run to my bike, starting it up and riding all the way to the dorm. I was able to avoid the gaze of most of the trainees who were walking past me for a night of partying. I was almost home free as I reached my floor, that was until I heard a door open and the voice of a male heading toward the staircase I was on.

'Dammit dammit, please go to the elevators.'

I sighed when I realized the footsteps were only getting closer. Sucking up my dignity, I walked up the stairs and casually walked by the person without looking at their face. The soft thumping stopped for a moments as I was halfway to my door.

"Roxi?"

"Hey Jimin-oppa."I greet, a bit more shakily than I would have liked.

"Are you okay?"

'Shoot how can he tell?!'

"Yeah, I'm just tired you know."I smile, having it falter when the carpet sank near me and he came closer.

"Are you sure?"he asked, more stiffly, trying to look at my face through my hair.

"Yeah."

I stepped forward to only have him touch my arm, I tried with all my might to fight the wince when his skin contacted my irritated flesh that was hidden by my long hair. He took notice of this and moved it to see the dark purple marks of a hand on my arm. A gasp leaves Jimin's lips and he went in front of me, moving my dark hair out of my face, seeing the bright red handprint on my right cheek. He exhaled through his nose loudly and took my keys from my hand while taking it in his own. He led me to my dorm, I knew I could take care of myself but I guess he had other thoughts. He fiddled with the door handle and pushed it wide open, closing it behind me while taking off his shoes. I placed my food on the kitchen counter, Jimin took my wrist and sat me on the green couch.

"Where's your first aid kit?"he asked, pacing back and forth unknowingly.

"The kitchen, in the bottom drawer under the sink."I answer.

He pulled it open and came back with the white box in his hand. His straight mouth and his narrowed, focused eyes were his only other reactions as he dabbed my blemishes with alcohol and soothed them with an icepack from the freezer. I winced every now and then at the stinging sensation that ran through my red skin, getting a few 'It's okay, I'm here.'s and some 'Almost done.'s from Jimin in return. I couldn't meet his eyes out of embarrassment, I probably looked so pitiful under his gaze.

"Can you look up at me for a moment?"he asks, tilting my chin up so our eyes met."I need a better look of your face."

He gave me a soft smile and his eyes traced the edges of the red handprint after moving my hair over my shoulders, the white gauze moving from my cheek, to my temple, near my ear, and to my lips. I flinch when the alcohol absorbed into the small cut on the corner of my lip, the strange taste of metal sending uncomfortable shivers down my spine. I felt his hand freeze for a split second longer before he went on to finish cleansing the redness, a small blush on his face when he tried to console himself.

"You'll be fine, there's just a few bruises."

The room was nearly silent, the sound of him putting away the materials was not nearly enough to drown the sound of my pulsing heart. I looked on the couch to find the folded blankets and pillows Jungkook used, as well as the clothes he borrowed neatly tucked in the very corner of the couch. I didn't know what to do. What should I do if Jimin as-

"Who did this to you?"he asks seriously, standing across from me with folded arms and a straight face.

I stayed silent, pulling on the hem of my dress in both frustration and annoyance. My eye contact wavered every now and then from the table to my dress back to Jimin then to my tattoo. Jimin sighed, and I looked back up at him to see his eyes soften to an extent.

"I know it's none of my business...I just can't stand it when I see you all beat up whenever I'm around you."he says, giving me a small, reassuring smile. "Now come on, who did this to you?"

"I...kinda got attacked in the street heading here. I mean, I didn't know the guys but they were drunk so...yeah."I confess."I should have changed outta this dress after shooting. This is why I can't wear things like this in public dammit."

I groan, chuckling a bit while pressing the ice onto my cheek. The condensing water outside of the plastic crawled down my face, making my hair stick to my skin in the worst way."I think you look pretty in it."Jimin winks,"Not pretty enough to get attacked or anything, just pretty enough to get noticed."

"Mhm."I hum, giving him the 'are-you-serious' look.

"You get what I'm saying!"he laughs, running a hand through his hair a few times."...You should be more careful alright."

He walks around the table and pats my head,"Does oppa need to get you anything else or are you going to be okay?"

I roll my eyes and smile a cheeky grin,"I'll be alright Jimin-oppa."

He nods approvingly and heads out the door. Once the door shut, I got up and walked into my room. My sleeping puppies all cuddling together in the thick blankets, all oblivious to the visitor who just left the dorm. I shake my head and take a shower, changing into a cozy grey sweatshirt and black leggings. Soon after I finally went over to my kitchen to eat dinner.

'I've been through too much for you.'
