05:25, 22 December 2024☆Elphaba's POV☆"What other reason could there be?" Glinda questioned after Fiyero told her we were engaged. Fiyero and I looked at each other.
"I'm pregnant." I stated. Glinda screamed in excitement.
"Oh my Oz!" Glinda cheered. "Elphie! You're gonna be a momsie!" I chuckled.
"That makes you an auntie." I stated. Glinda cheered.
"I am so excited!" Glinda cheered. "I'm going to be an auntie!" Glinda football tackled me.
"Easy!" I cried out. "This might be our only baby!"
"Wait for it....." Fiyero whispered. Glinda paused after a few seconds.
"Wait," Glinda asked. "How are you two going to stay together if people are expecting 'The Scarecrow' to rule over the Emerald City?"
"I will have to slip out every chance I get." Fiyero stated. "Chistery will get me if I'm in the Emerald City."
"Nope!" Glinda roared. "That just won't do! Your family needs you! You can't just do what Elphaba's father did all the time!"
"She has a point." I stated. "Dad traveled a lot for work." Fiyero raised his eyebrow at me.
"How do we pull off 'Scarecrow' leaving?" Fiyero asked.
"I have an idea." I stated. "Remember when your arm caught on fire when I held up the burning broom for dramatic effect?"
"I know that was an accident," Fiyero stated. "But I had to get fixed up again. Why?"
"Well," I replied. "I'm going to cast a fire proof spell on you... I just need the Grimmerie."
"I have it." Glinda stated. "I'll go, collect it, and bring it to you tomorrow morning."
"Fantastic." I stated. "We just have to put up a fake burning at the stake. There's a trap door underneath. We just have to pull the same trick we did to fake my death and.... And...." I suddenly felt sick to my stomach.
"Are you okay?" Glinda asked.
"Nausea." I replied. I rubbed my bump.
"That bad?" Glinda asked.
"It comes randomly." Fiyero stated. "Nothing triggers it at all." I looked down.
"Easy there little one." I stated to my bump. "Mommy and auntie is trying to get daddy home permanently." I sat down.
"I'll get you a glass of water." Fiyero stated. Fiyero made his way to the kitchen. I took a deep breath.
"Get some rest." Glinda stated.
"I can't." I stated. "Not until we figure out a plan."
"You're carrying a baby." Glinda stated. "You need all the rest you can get." I sighed and rested my head on Glinda's shoulder. Fiyero came in and handed me a glass of water with a straw. I took a sip and set it down.
"So," Fiyero asked. "Do you think this will work?" Fiyero sat down and placed his arms around me. I took my head off Glinda's shoulder and rested it on Fiyero's shoulder.
"I hope so." I stated. Fiyero kissed my forehead.
"You two really are in love." Glinda stated.
"We are." Fiyero stated. "I'm sorry, but I was living a lie when I was with you."
"It's fine," Glinda stated. "We weren't meant to be together. You were meant to be with Elphaba." Fiyero kissed the top of my head. I fell asleep on Fiyero's shoulder.
☆Fiyero's POV☆Elphaba fell asleep on my shoulder. I picked Elphaba up, brought her to the bedroom, and laid her down. I kissed Elphaba's bump and walked back to Glinda.
"So," Glinda asked. "How far along is she?"
"Ten weeks." I replied.
"So," Glinda asked. "The baby was conceived the night Nessarose died?"
"Yes," I replied. "We aren't sure if this will be our only baby though. If we can conceive while I'm a scarecrow, it will be a miracle." I sighed.
"Look," Glinda stated. "Elphaba loves you no matter what. Clearly, she got excited the moment she found out about YOUR baby and told you immediately."
"Actually," I stated. "She told me to come home and told me in person."
"The fact she wanted to see your face when she told you makes it better." Glinda stated. "She wanted to hear your cheer, hug you, and kiss you. And the expression on your face when you found out told her that you love her and your child."
"I do love my child." I stated. "And I do love Elphaba. The two of them are my world." Glinda nodded.
"I know they are." Glinda stated. I looked at the bedroom, where I can see Elphaba asleep, hand on her baby bump.
"She showed me her bump," I stated. "Before we contacted you. I got so excited seeing it. I felt like a child on Christmas morning, except I know what is inside the box. My baby was in there. The gift is my baby."
"She's showing already?" Glinda asked.
"Barely." I replied. "She would have to lift up her shirt in order to see it, but there was something about it that makes me so happy, like I have discovered an unknown feeling." Glinda chuckled.
"I'm heading out," Glinda stated. "I'll be back tomorrow."
"Bye!" I beamed. Glinda left. I went into the bedroom, laid down, and cuddled up to Elphaba. Elphaba looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey handsome." Elphaba stated.
"Hey beautiful." I stated. I kissed Elphaba's cheek.
"To think this wouldn't have happened if you didn't tell me the farm girl was coming." Elphaba stated.
"Then I would have lost my family." I stated. "My little family." Elphaba turned to face me and kissed me.
"I'm glad you warned me." Elphaba stated. "You saved both our lives." I decided to change the subject.
"So," I asked. "If we can make more babies, how many kids do you want?" Elphaba thought for a moment.
"I want three kids," Elphaba stated. "Including our little bean. How about you? How many little beans do you want running around?"
"Four is a good number." I replied.
"We need to see if you can have more first." Elphaba stated.
"Of course." I stated. "For now, we are focusing on this beanie." I placed my hand on Elphaba's bump.
"I love you." Elphaba whispered.
"I love you too." I stated. Elphaba and I cuddled for the rest of the afternoon.
