After the fight at the ice rink I went home with Derek and Isaac, we dropped Erica and Boyd off at their houses. I kept my arms crossed and my mouth shut the whole way home. As soon as Derek stopped I got out of the car, slammed the door and stomped up the stairs and into my room. I slammed the door again and locked it, sliding down the door. I sighed and banged my head on the door behind me. Derek literally pushed me away and now I'm being replaced by Erica, Isaac and Boyd. I got a call from Stiles and qucikly ran downstairs.

"Where do you think you're going?" Derek called after me but I just ignored him and ran down to his car and driving to the Garage. "I told you, I just - I walked in and I saw the jeep on top of the guy, that's all." Stiles told his father. "Can I get out of here now?" Stiles asked and the Sheriff sighed. "Look, if there's something you don't think you can tell me -" The sheriff tried to get everything he could out of Stiles. Soon enough Scott parked next to me. I smiled at him before turning back to my cousin.

"You think I'm lying?" Stiles offendedly asked his dad and he just shook his head, "No, of course not. I'm just worried about you. Now, if you saw someone do this, if you're afraid that maybe they're gonna come back and make sure you don't say anything about it -" My uncle tried reasoning with Stiles. "I didn't see anything. At all. Can I go now please?" Stiles was desperately trying to get away from the situation. "Sure. But not in your jeep. We're gonna have to impound it. Sorry kid, evidence. I'll see you at home." The sheriff walked off and Stiles walked towards Scott and me. "You okay?" I asked as he got in my, well Derek's car. Scott got in the back.

"Yeah." He nodded before turning to Scott. "You were right. It's not like you. I mean, its eyes were almost like, reptilian. But there was something about them." Stiles muttered and I turned in my seat. "What do you mean?" I asked curiously. "You know when you see, like, a friend in a Halloween mask, but all you can actually see are their eyes and you feel like you know 'em but you just can't figure out who it is?" Stiles asked and I nodded, waiting for him to continue. "Are you saying you know who it is?" Scott asked.

"No, but I think it knew me." Stiles whispered so I drove the pair of them home before returning to Derek's. I parked the car in the train station and watched him train with Isaac and Erica, Boyd was just watching. "Does anyone wanna try not being completely predictable?" He suggested and Erica jumped onto him, forcing her lips onto his. I quietly gasped but he quickly pushed her off him roughly.  "That's the last time you do that." He commanded and she smirked as I joined Boyd on a step. "Why? Because I'm a beta?" Erica asked and I rolled my eyes, that's not how love works in the werewolf world.

"No, because I have someone else in mind for you." Derek rolled his eyes and Isaac groaned in pain. "Are we done? I got about a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal." He tried sitting up and Derek kneeled down in front of him. "Come here." He grabbed Isaac's arm and crushed it. I cringed and turned my head away. "A hundred and one. You think I'm teaching you how to fight? Huh? Look at me! I'm teaching you how to survive!" Derek yelled and I stood up. "If they wanted us dead why aren't they coming for us now? What are they waiting for?" Isaac asked and I helped him up. "I don't know. But they're planning something. And you, especially, know that's not our only problem. Whatever that thing is that killed Isaac's father, I think it killed someone else last night. Until I find out what it is, you all need to learn everything that I know. As fast as I can teach you. You too." He pointed at me and I sighed, helping Isaac up the stairs and to the bathroom to get him cleaned up.

I showered after getting Isaac cleaned up, got changed into my pyjamas and walked into my room to find Derek sitting on my bed. "What are you doing?" I asked him, sitting down next to him with my legs crossed. He looked up at me and then the door so I got back up and closed the door. "He'll still be able to hear you know?" I asked Derek as I sat back down cross legged. He nodded and turned his head to look at me. "I'm helping them." Derek told me and I scoffed. "You're using them. And replacing me." I whispered the last part and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Replacing you? That's impossible. I'd risk my life for you. Not for them. Never." I looked up and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Please stop using vulnerable teenagers to be more powerful." I begged him and he sighed before agreeing.

I cheered and hugged him, to which he froze for a while before giving me a pat on the back. I laughed and pushed him out of my room before falling asleep in my bed.

*An evening later*

"Scott and Stiles have a game this evening. Are you guys coming?" I asked Isaac and Erica bitterly laughed but Isaac nodded and followed me outside and to the school.

I waved at my cousin and my boyfriend before sitting down with Isaac. "Come on, is that thing even a teenager? I wanna see a birth certificate. Who or what is that genetic experiment gone wrong?" Coach yelled in outrage. "Eddie Abramovitz, Coach. They call him The Abomination." Stiles answered and watched the game intensely. "Oh, that's cute." The coach sighed and Jackson stormed towards Scott so I used my ears to listen.

"McCall, what the hell are you waiting for? This is the semi - finals. Bring that 'roid - head into the ground" Jackson hissed and I subtly shook my head. "Me? You're the one who said that I was a cheater." Scott fired back. "And that freak of nature being on the field is fair? Do something!" Jackson yelled and Scott glared at him. "I can't, not while Allison's grandfather is here." He whispered back so I searched for Allison and her grandfather.

I saw her talking so I listened, wanting to know if our plan would work. "I knew I should have brought a warmer jacket." She fake shivered and hugged herself. "You're cold, here take my coat." Gerard took his coat off and handed it to his granddaughter. "Are you sure?" Allison asked and Gerard nodded. Allison thanked him and searched the pockets for his keys.

The big guy from the opposing team ran straight into one of our players and I gasped as he fell onto the floor screaming in pain. "I can't feel my legs." He yelled and I bit my lip, trying to see who it was. Stiles walked past Allison and took the keys, running off to the school. Danny ran onto the field and a player spoke to the coach who then turned around to the bench. "Where's Stilinski? Where's Stilinski? You! You! You play lacrosse?" The Coach pointed at Boyd who was sitting with Erica. I thought that she didn't want to come?! "Uh - uh. Derek won't like this." Ercia warned him but he just smirked. "Yeah. But I will." He stood up and took his jacket off.

Derek's going to kill me. Isaac looked at me and sighed. "Why aren't you playing?" I turned to him and he shrugged, watching the game intently.

I gasped as Scott fell and you could literally hear his ankle snapping. I nearly gagged and ran onto the field with Melissa close behind me. I knelt down next to  Scott and he smiled at me. "I'm fine, I'm healing, it's okay." I nodded and sighed out in relief when I got a message from Stiles saying that the book wasn't in his office.

After Scott got back up, to the surprise of everyone, we lost and everyone else left. "I'm gonna check where Stiles is." I called after Scott who was practically forced by Gerard to go home with him and Allison. I sighed as I ran my hands through my hair. I looked around but Erica, Boyd and Isaac were all gone. "Oh for heavens sake." I muttered, running towards the school to look for Stiles.

I got to the school but I couldn't see anyone until I heard a loud noise, kind of like a roar but it wasn't an usual roar. I furrowed my eyebrows and focused on my sense of smell, following it to the pool. "Run!" Derek yelled at Stiles as I stayed hidden. "Derek, your neck! Hey, come on. Where is it? Can you see it?" Stiles caught Derek and they hobbled along the pools. "I can smell it. But I can also smell Lucia. Please hurry. Call Scott! Stiles, ah -" Stiles accidently let go of Derek who then fell into the pool. I gasped and froze as soon as I heard it breathing behind me. "Where did it go? Do you see it?" Stiles asked Derek frantically as he tried keeping himself up along with Derek. "No." Derek answered and Stiles sighed out in relief. "Okay, maybe it took off."

I pushed myself of the rails at the stairs with my feet and held onto a pipe at the ceiling. "Lucia!" Derek shouted and I turned to see whatever hanging onto the wall, hissing at me. I growled at it and pushed myself off the wall and onto the floor, it followed me and it was way faster me, and that isn't very easy. I turned and growled at, shifting into werewolf form and going into a fighting position. "Lucia! Get away from it." Derek yelled but I ignored him. "NOW!" He shouted as it pounced for me. It didn't hit me because I moved, the next thing I knew was I fell into the pool, due to me loosing my balance. I spluttered and swam towards Stiles and Derek in the middle.

"Are you okay?" Stiles asked and I nodded, watching the reptile thing circling the pool. "I could fight it." I mumbled, determined to save Stiles and Derek. "No you can't. It will paralyze you with one strike." I gave Derek a look and he raised his eyebrows before sighing "Do you trust me?" He asked and I nodded. "Then do not leave this pool. You don't have a chance against it." He explained and I sighed before helping Stiles keep Derek up.

Stiles and I struggled to keep Derek up and he groaned. "You need to get me out of here before I drown." He grunted and I didn't answer, keeping my strength for holding him up. "You're worried about drowning? Did you notice the thing out there with multiple rows of razor sharp teeth." Stiles retorted and I sighed. "Did you notice I'm paralyzed from the neck down in eight feet of water?" Derek yelled and I sighed. "Not now guys. Okay." I glared at them and Stiles nodded. "Okay. I don't see it." Stiles started swimming to the side but Derek stopped him. "Wait, wait, wait, stop, stop." The reptile monster was staring at us from the edge of the pool. "What's it waiting for?" I asked Derek but he didn't have an answer.

"Okay. Okay, I don't think I can do this much longer." Stiles started swimming after me as I planned to leave the pool to get help, all I needed to do was get out amd run for it. "No, no, no. Don't even think about it." Derek spoke to Stiles as he was close to letting go of Derek. "Would you just trust me this once?" Stiles pleaded and Derek glared. "No."

"I'm the one keeping you alive, okay, have you noticed that?" Stiles bitched and Derek narrowed his eyes. "Yeah. And when the paralysis wears off, who is gonna be able to fight that thing, you or me? You don't trust me I don't trust you. You need me to survive, which is why you are not letting me go. Stiles!" I turned around to see Stiles swimming towards me and Derek going down. My jaw dropped as I swam towards Derek to dive and get him back up. Not getting out of here then. Great.

Stiles phoned Scott but seconds later he sighed and accidently dropped his phone. "Shit!" He cursed before helping me with Derek. "I can't stay up any longer, I need something to hold on to." I was struggling a lot. I was slowly going under but I didn't want to burden Stiles. I checked that Derek wasn't looking and quietly climbed out of the pool, letting out a breath when Scott pulled Derek and Stiles out of the water. The monster attacked him and I ran towards them, my claws sticking in the reptile's back as he screeched out. My claws stuck in reptile skin was disgusting. I forcefully pulled them back out and backed away so it attacked Scott again, picking him up and throwing him against a mirror. Scott shook the glass off before taking a large piece and holding it against the reptile. The reptile monster tilted it's head before running off through the ceiling. I leaned against the wall and breathed out away, sharing glances with Stiles, Derek and Scott.

I helped Derek to his feet and he stood before nodding at me so I carefully let go and he seemed fine so I followed Stiles and Scott out of the pool and towards Stiles's jeep.

"Is this even a language?" Stiles asked as I held my head in my hands. "How are we supposed to figure out what this thing is?" Scott asked and then Derek came up to us with Erica. "It's called a kanima." He stated and I felt rage building up inside me. "You knew the whole time." I accused but he shook his head. "No. Only when it was confused by its own reflection." Derek stated.

"It doesn't know what it is." Scott said and I turned to him. "Or who." Derek agreed. "What else do you know?" Stiles asked. "Just stories, rumors." Derek told us. "But it's like us?" I asked and Derek nodded. "A shape - shifter, yes, but it's - it's not right. It's like a -" Derek looked for a word Stiles helped him out. "An abomination." Derek nodded silently before walking off.

"Derek? We need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents." Scott suggested as I found myself in the same situation as I always do. I was standing between Derek and Erica and Scott and Stiles. "You trust them?" Derek asked disgusted and I had to agree with him. "Nobody trusts anyone! That's the problem. While we're here, arguing about who's on what side, there's something scarier, stronger and faster than any of us, and it's killing people and we still don't even know anything about it." Scott shouted back. "I know one thing, when I find it? I'm gonna kill it!" Derek looked at me and raised his eyebrows so I looked at Scott and Stiles who both nodded so I followed Derek and Erica to Derek's car.
