19:52, 29 December 2016"Come on Elliot. Let's get you to bed." I picked up my little brother and he cuddled his head into me as Derek did some pull ups in a doorway. I walked up the stairs and put Elliot to bed. "Can you wait until I sleep?" Elliot begged me and I nodded, sitting down next to his bed and kissing him on the forehead as he slowly fell asleep. As soon as I was sure that he was asleep I quickly got changed (picture above or at the side) and went to mine and Scott's spot to meet up with Allison.
"Hey." Allison chirped as she gave me a hug and Scott a small wave. "What are you doing?" Scott hissed, hiding the light of her phone. "Just trying to find you." Allison defended herself. "Did anyone see you leave?" I asked cautiously whilst Scott looked around. I could literally smell his nervousness.
"No. No one, I was careful. What's wrong? Is it the full moon tomorrow night?" Allison asked as she sat down next to me on a rock whilst Scott paced around in front of us. "No. No, it's not that. Um, we just wanted to ask you some things. About your - um, your family. Actually, your grandfather." Scott stammered and Allison furrowed her eyebrows. "Okay, but I don't really know him. I mean, he's kind of just a guy who sends a check in the mail every year for my birthday" She explained and I bit my lip. Well that's not good. "Does he know about us?" Scott asked pointing at me. "No, my dad hasn't said a thing. What is it? Did something else happen?" She asked and I shook my head. "We just need to be a lot more careful now." Scott mumbled.
"Okay. Well that's settled. I need to get back home, sorry." I pecked Scott on the lips and Allison followed me through the woods and to her car. "Do you need a ride?" She asked and I thought about it before nodding. "Sure. Thanks." I smiled and she drove me home. "See ya tomorrow!" She shouted and I waved as she sped off.
Instead of going upstairs into the loft I went downstairs into the old stationary for trains. I joined Derek on one of the old trains as he told me how to control myself in the full moon. "Here. Take this. Hold it and keep re-" Derek was interrupted. "Derek? Derek!" Someone shouted so Derek stood up and used his werewolf eyes. "What's wrong?" He asked the tall boy who was obviously in a panicky mode. "My dad. I think he's dead." The boy breathed out and I gasped. "What did you do?" Derek asked. "That's the thing. It wasn't me." The boy told Derek so he turned to me. "What did you do?" Derek asked me and I looked at him in shock. "Seriously?!" I asked, slightly offended.
Derek sighed and looked at the boy and then at me. "Isaac meet my..." Derek hesitate "Well..my daughter I guess." I gave Isaac a little wave before getting up. "Hey. I'm Lucia. I have a brother Elliot. He's upstairs". I rambled which caused Derek to look at me weirdly "Show Isaac where he can stay?" Derek asked and I nodded. "Come on." I walked ahead but Isaac didn't follow so I looked at him with glowing eyes. "It's okay." I smiled and so he followed me up to the loft.
"So this is my room, this is Derek's and this is Elliot's, my little brother. And you will be staying here." I opened the door to the room next to mine, so now I was opposite of the bathroom and between Isaac and Derek, great. "Thanks." Isaac gave me a small smile and I nodded.
Isaac just sat on his bed and put his head in his hands. I sighed to myself before cautiously walking up to him and sitting on the bed, next to him. "Are you okay?" I asked and he glared at me "What do you think?! I just lost my dad. Not like you would know what it feels like." He scoffed, partly I could understand but I was offended. "Are you serious?! Both of my parents are dead. Because of me!" I yelled at him and he looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. "The Argents, also called hunters, burnt down my house when they found out that I was a werewolf. My younger brother had to watch so don't go and pity yourself." I marched out of his room and into mine before throwing myself onto my bed.
I was half asleep when someone walked in and covered my body with my quilt. "He didn't know." Derek whispered and left the room.
Someone knocked on my door and I groaned "What?!" I shouted and Isaac walked in, wearing other clothes and he had wet hair. "Good morning. I-i wanted to apologise about yesterday." He mumbled and I sighed. "I'm sorry too. I over reacted." I apologised and he looked up. "Are we cool?" I smiled and nodded to answer his question. "You need to hurry. School starts soon." Isaac smiled and that was when I noticed that Elliot was standing next to him, holding his hand.
I smiled at Isaac and he smiled back before leaving my bedroom to let me change.
"That's...different?" Derek looked me up and down and I grinned, shrugging "Yea but... I dunno, I wanted to look cute." I smiled and followed the three guys to the car. "Bye El." I waved as my little brother got out of the car and skipped to school. I smiled and got out of the car when Derek stopped in the school parking lot. Isaac spoke to Derek, I was going to wait but I spotted Lydia so I ran towards her. "Lydia!" She turned around and rushed towards me. We engulfed each other in a gigantic hug as Allison watched, giggling. The three of us walked up the stairs to the school.
"You really don't remember anything?" Allison asked and Lydia shrugged. "They called it a fugue state, which is basically a way of saying We have no idea why you can't remember running through the woods naked for two days. But personally, I don't care. I lost nine pounds." Lydia squealed and I couldn't help but smile at Lydia. "Are you ready for this?" I asked and Lydia nodded before turning to Allison. "It's not like my aunt's a serial killer."
We walked into the school and EVERYONE stopped to look at Lydia. Allison and I noticed Lydia getting a bit shy. "Maybe it's the nine pounds." Allison whispered so Lydia flicked her hair and pushed through the crowd. Allison and I linked elbows before following Lydia in the same confident strut.
"Hey I have a free period so I'm going to watch the boys practice." I told Lydia and Allison after putting my math stuff away. They nodded and walked into different directions as I walked down to the field. "McCall!" The coach yelled just as I sat down. "Yeah." Scott answered, helping the player on the floor up. "Usually the goalie stays somewhere within the vicinity of the actual goal." Coach yelled and I furrowed my eyebrows. "Yes, coach." Scott replied, jogging back to the goal. "Let's try it again." Coach sighed.
Matt started jogging towards the goal when Scott ran towards him. They both flew in the air and landed with a thump. "What the hell, man?" Matt cursed and Scott helped him up and I covered my mouth with my hand. What the hell is Scott doing? "My bad, dude." Scott told Matt. "McCall! The position's goal keeper. Not goal abandoner." I giggled into my hand as Scott apologised. Scott knocked another guy over and next was Danny. Scott landed on top of him and smelt him. My jaw dropped. What on earth is wrong with my boyfriend.
"McCall! You come out of that goal one more time and you'll be doing suicide runs till you die. It'll be the first ever suicide run that actually ends in a suicide. Got it?" The coach threatened and I couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Uh, coach, my shoulder's hurting. I'm gonna - I'm gonna sit this one out." Jackson slowly backed away from the line to avoid a collision with Scott. Next was Isaac and then it dawned on me. Scott was trying to find another werewolf. He must have sensed it. "Don't tell them. Please don't tell them." Isaac whispered as the police came onto the field. I stood up and made eye contact with Isaac but I couldn't do anything.
"His father's dead. They think he was murdered." Scott told Stiles as I joined them. "Are they saying he's a suspect?" Stiles asked. "I'm not sure, why?" Scott asked and I answered for Stiles. "Because they can lock him in a holding cell for 24 hours." I let out a long sigh. "Like, overnight?" Scott asked and Stiles nodded as I pressdd my lips together in thought. "During the full moon." Stiles stated. "How good are these holding cells at holding people?" Scott asked concerned. "People, good. Werewolves, probably not that good." I answered again. "Stiles, remember when I said I don't have the urge to maim and kill?" Scott asked and I knew what he was about to say. "Yeah." Stiles nodded. "He does." Scott and I said at the same time.
After school I rushed outside with Scott to see that the police car was just taking Isaac away. "Get in." Derek demanded as he stopped in front of us. I didn't hesitate but Scott did. "Are you serious? You did that. That's your fault." He shouted at Derek and he sighed. "I know that. Now get in the car and help me." Derek tried convincing Scott. "No, I've got a better idea. I'm gonna call a lawyer. Because a lawyer might actually have a chance at getting him out before the moon goes up." Scott argued and gave me a look but I decided to keep out of it.
"Not when they do a real search of the house." Derek sighed and I got an uneasy feeling. "What do you mean?" Scott asked. "Whatever Jackson said to the cops, what's in the house is worse. A lot worse." Finally Scott got into the car and we drove to Isaac's house.
"If Isaac didn't kill his father, who did?" Scott asked as we walked through the house. "I don't know yet." Derek amswered truthfully. "Then how do you know he's telling the truth?" Scott questioned and Derek sighed in frustration. "Because I trust my senses. And it's a combination of them. Not just your sense of smell." I furrowed my eyebrows and Scott turned around. "You saw the lacrosse thing today." He stated but his tone sounded more like a question. "Yeah." Derek answered and I laughed. "Did it look that bad?" Scott cringed and I nodded. "Yeah." Derek patted Scott's shoulder.
"You wanna learn? Let's start now." Derek shone his flashlight down into the basement and I shivered. The smell was overwhelming, too many feelings. "What's down there?" Scott asked as I stayed behind Derek. "Motive." Derek simply answered. "And what am I looking for?" Scott asked once again. "Follow your senses." Derek demanded and I remembered when Derek taught me how to do this kind of stuff. "What happened down here?" Scott asked. "The kind of thing that leaves an impression." Derek answered as we walked towards a freezer. "Open it." Derek nodded at Scott.
"Stiles just texted me. I need to leave. I promised I'd help him. Will you be okay?" I asked Scott and he nodded so I pecked his lips and quickly left. "Wait!" Derek called after me so I stopped and ran back into the basement. "Allison is coming here soon and then Stiles will pick us up. You need to read the whole text." Derek raised his eyebrows at me and I blushed in embarrassment.
"This is why he said yes to you." Scott traced the scratch marks on the freezer with his fingers. "Everyone wants power." Derek answered coldly. "If we help you, then you have to stop. You can't just go around turning people into werewolves." Scott protested and I kind of agreed. "I can if they're willing." Derek smirked. "Did you tell Isaac about the Argents? About being hunted?" Scott asked, hoping to find a mistake in Derek's plan. "Yes, and he still asked." Derek smirked again. "Then he's an idiot." Scott gave up.
"And you two are idiots for befriending Argent's daughter. With me, you learn control. Even on a full moon." Derek held Scott's hand up and claws grew. "If I'm with you, we lose her." Scott protested but I silently disagreed. "You're gonna lose her anyway. You know that." Derek warned us and started walking up the stairs, me following. "Wait. I'm not part of your pack. But I want him out. He's my responsibility too." Scott muttered and I felt torn. Was I in Derek's pack or not. "Why? Because he's one of us?" Derek asked, kind of teasing Scott. "Because he's innocent." Scott answered so Derek and I left.
"Okay, now the keys to every cell are in a password protected lockbox in my father's office. The problem is getting past the front desk." Stiles explained the situation as we were parked in front of the station. "I'll distract her." Derek suggested. "Whoa, whoa, whoa - you? You're not going in there." I cleared my throat and Stiles quickly removed his hand from Derek's shoulder. "I'm taking my hand off." He said and I bit my lip. "I was exonerated." Derek rose his eyebrows and I decided to jump in. "Stiles has a point you know...you're still a person of interest." I told. "An innocent person." Derek defended himself and Stiles scoffed.
"An - you? Yeah, right! Okay, fine. What's your plan?" Stiles asked. "To distract her." Derek spoke to Stiles as if he had some kind of illness. "Uh - huh. How? By punching her in the face? Unh." Stiles made a fist and scrunched his face up. "Heh, by talking to her." Derek rolled his eyes. "Okay, all ri-"
"Just go!" I told Derek and we all got out of the Jeep. Stiles and I hid behind the door whilst Derek walked to the front desk. "Good evening, how can I help - you?" The woman asked, smiling as I stayed at the door and Stiles snuck past the desk. "Hi." Derek grinned. "Hi." The woman breathed out. "Um, I had a question. Um, sorry I'm a little - a little thrown. I wasn't really expecting someone -" Derek flirted. "Like me?" The Deputy askesd and I cringed. "Oh, I was gonna say so incredibly beautiful but, yeah, I guess that'd be the same thing." Derek flirted some more as I stayed at the door, hoping that Stiles would be okay.
The fire alarm went off and I rushed to the cells with Derek, ignoring the woman at the front desk. Isaac threw the fake officer to the ground and glared at Stiles so I quickly shifted and stood in front of Stiles as Derek stood on the needle filled with Wolfsbane. Isaac went for Stiles and me but Derek roared at him, scaring Isaac so he cowered into a corner and whimpered. "How did you do that?" Stiles looked up at Derek in shock as I shifted back into normal. "I'm the Alpha." Derek smirked but we heard more police officers so he looked at me. "Help me get him out of here." We helped Isaac out of the Station and into the woods where we had to run home. "Where the hell is Elliot?!" I yelled at Derek. "I took him to your grandparents for a few nights!" He shouted back and I let out a breath of relief.
