19:42, 29 December 2016*Lucia's parents died in a fire that was caused by Kate Argent, who was killed by Peter Hale. Lucia and Scott are still a thing and Lydia is in hospital after being attacked by Peter at the Spring formal. Jack (Lucia's older brother) came back but is now gone because he said that he had to return to his pack. Derek has kind of taking paternity over Lucia*
I sat in hospital next to a sleeping Stiles and just stared at the floor. My Mum is dead, my Dad is dead and my brother is with Derek. My other brother left after nearly killing Derek. What a great family.
"They've been here all night." Lydia's Dad pointed at me and Stiles. "They've been here all weekend." Melissa corrected and Mr. Martin sighed. "You're dirty." Stiles whispered in his sleep so I scooted away from him as he kissed the air.
I fell asleep but woke up when Stiles shook me. I groaned and looked at my cousin "What?!" I hissed and he pulled me up and to his Dad. "Naked? As in nude?" My uncle asked Melissa. "I'm pretty sure they mean the same thing, but, yes, as far as we know, she left here clothing - optional." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at a very anxious Stiles. "All right, you checked the whole hospital, right?" My uncle asked as we followed them down the hall. "Every last corner." Melissa confirmed.
"Nothing suspicious?" The sheriff asked writing a few things down and Melissa shook her head. "Nothing. She just took off."
"All right, let's get an APB out on a 16 - year - old redhead. Any other descriptors?" The sheriff asked and Stiles speed walked up to them. "5'3, green eyes, fair - skinned, and her hair is actually strawberry blonde." He rambled and I nodded along. "Is that right?" The sheriff rose his eyebrows and I nodded. "Yeah." I confirmed so the Sheriff groaned. "Uh - come here. What the hell are you two still doing here?" He asked us and I just shrugged.
"Um, providing moral support?" Stiles suggested, turning to me so I nodded. I must have zoned out because the next thing I knew was that I was being dragged outside by Stiles to his Jeep where Scott was waiting. As soon as I saw him I couldn't help but smile. "This is the one she was just wearing?" Scott asked and Stiles silently nodded, concerning me. "I'm not gonna let anyone hurt her. Not again." Scott assured Stiles so he turned his Jeep on and nodded. "All right, just shove the thing in your face and let's find her." He sighed and started backing out, during that process he nearly hit Allison.
"What are you doing here? Someone's gonna see you with us?!" Scott pointed at himself and then at me. "I don't care - she is my best friend too, and we need to find her before they do." Allison crossed her arms and I bit my inner lip. "I can find her before the cops can." Scott tried reassuring Allison but it wasn't working. "How about before my father does?" Allison rose her eyebrows and I banged my head on a car window. "He knows?" Stiles asked.
"Yeah. I just saw him and three other guys leave my house in two SUVs." Allison told us and I sighed again. "Search party." Scott turned to me and I shook my head. "It's more like a hunting party." I groaned so Scott opened the car door and Allison climbed over him and next to me in the back.
"All right, but if she's turning, would they actually kill her?" I turned to Allison and she shrugged. "I don't know. They won't tell me anything. All they say is, We'll talk after Kate's funeral, when the others get here." Allison looked so upset with her family so I put my arm around her and gave her a soft smile. "What others?" Stiles asked. "I don't know, they won't tell me that yet." Allison let out a frustrated sigh.
"Okay, your family's got some serious communication issues to work on. Scott, are we going the right way?" Scott had his head hanging out of the window. "Take the next right!" He shouted over the window so Stiles took the next right down a bumpy road. Like seriously we were bumping all over the place, my head kept hitting the roof. We got out of the Jeep at the entrance of Derek's old property.
"She came here? You sure?" Stiles asked as we all walked through the woods, Scott and I tracing Lydia by smell. "Yeah, this is where the scent leads." I answered but I wasn't too sure myself. "All right, but has Lydia ever been here?" Stiles asked and I shook my head. "Not with me. Maybe she came here on instinct, like she was looking for Derek." Allison suggested and I looked around for any sign of a naked teenage girl. "You mean - looking for an Alpha." Scott replied.
"Wolves need a pack, right?" Allison asked and I shook my head. "Not all of them.".
"But would she have been drawn to an Alpha? Is it an instinct to be part of a pack?" Allison wouldn't stop asking questions which made me crazy seeing as I was trying to concentrate on my hearing. "Yeah, we're - we're stronger in packs." Scott answered walking up the hill to Derek's old house. "Like strength in numbers." Allison stated and I quietly shook my head. "No, like - like, literally stronger, faster, better in every way." Scott retorted. "That the same for an Alpha?" Allison asked and I clenched my jaw.
"That'll make Derek stronger too." Scott answered when Stiles spotted something. "Whoa, hey, look at this. You see this? I think it's a tripwire." Stiled touched the wire and something behind us snapped. "Stiles -" we all turned around to see Scott hanging upside down. I covered my mouth but immediately stopped giggling as soon as I heard footsteps. "Oh." Stiles scratched the back of his head. "Next time you see a tripwire - don't trip it." Scott demanded so Stiles nodded. "Yeah, noted" he started walking towards Scott but I grabbed his wrist. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Someone's coming. Hide." I pulled Stiles and Allison behind a tree.
"Scott?" Allison's father walked up to my boyfriend and I held my breath. "Mr. Argent." Scott mumbled. "How are you doing?" Chris asked and I rolled my eyes. "Good. You know, just hangin' out. Is this one of yours? It's, uh, good. Nice design. Very constricting." I bit my lip and leaned my head against the tree behind me. "What are you doing out here, Scott?" Chris asked. "Looking for my friend." Scott answered in a polite tone of voice.
"Ah, that's right. Lydia's in your group now, isn't she? Part of the clique? Is that the word you use? Or is there another way to put it? Part of your pack?" Chris asked raising his eyebrows. "Actually, clique sounds about right to me." Scott answered and I could hear his heart beat quicken. "I hope so. 'Cause I know she's a friend of Allison's, and one special circumstance, such as yourself - one, I can handle. Not two." Chris said to Scott. "No." Scott simply answered.
"Scott, do you know what a hemicorporectomy is?" Chris asked. Oh heck no.
"I have a feeling I don't want to." Scott muttered unsurely. "A medical term for amputating somebody at the waist. Cutting them in half. Takes a tremendous amount of strength to cut through tissue and bone like that. Let's hope a demonstration never becomes necessary." I nearly gagged as Chris explained how hemicorporectomy worked.
"You okay?" Allison asked Scott as we came up from behind the tree. "It's just another life - threatening conversation with your dad." He answered and Allison pulled a face before walking over to the piece of thread on a tree to help Scott get free. "Lucia, help me with this." I walked towards her but Scott cut through the wire and was already standing on his feet. "Thanks. But I think I got it." He smiled and we laughed before following him. We didn't find Lydia and Derek wanted me to come home so I made Stiles drive me back home.
I walked up to Derek's loft and flung myself onto his couch. "Get your feet off." He grumbled at me so I took my feet off his couch and turned onto my back. "What'd you do?" He asked as I turned my head to look at him sitting on the other couch. "Looked for Lydia in the woods. Scott got stuck and Chris Argent kind of threatened him. Lydia's scent led to your old house." Derek furrowed his eyebrows at my last sentence before shrugging. "You need a ride to school tomorrow?" he asked me and I nodded so he nodded as well and I went to bed.
"Morning." I groggily grumbled as I passed Derek in the kitchen. "Morning." He answered, gulping his glass of water and quickly washing the glass. "Are you ready to leave?" He asked and I looked down at my pyjamas. "Do I look ready?" I retorted so he shook his head and I huffed "Oh wow. Thanks Derek." I muttered before walking up the spiral stairs to my bedroom which was right next to Derek's.
I brushed my teeth, combed my hair and got changed into something presentable.
I walked across the hall to Elliot's room. "Hey are you ready?" I asked and he silently nodded, following me down the stairs and to the living room where Derek was waiting. "You're wearing the leather Jacket?" He asked surprised and I smiled "Yea. It was a birthday present after all." Derek gave a small smile but quickly hid it as we walked down the stairs and to his black car.
"She ate the liver?" Scott asked as I scrunched up my nose, there's no way that Lydia, my best friend, would eat liver. "No, I didn't say she ate it. I just said it was missing. And you know what? Even if she did, so what? It's the most nutritious part of the body." Stiles still felt the need to defend Lydia. "I never ate anyone's liver." Scott protested and I nodded "I didn't either."
"Yeah, right, 'cause when it comes to werewolves, you two are real models of self - control. Actually, wait - hold on. You are the test case for this, so we should be going over what happened to you." Stiles stopped so Scott and I did too. "What do you mean?" I asked leaning my head on Scott's shoulder. "I mean like what was going through your minds when you were turning, you know? What were you drawn to?" Stiles asked and I looked at Scott.
"Scott." I answered and Scott blushed.
"Lucia" Scott answered and I blushed.
"Okay, nothing else? Seriously?" Stiles asked and we shrugged. "Nothing else mattered. But, no, that's good, though, right? 'Cause the night that Lydia was bit, she was with you." I pointed at Stiles and he sighed. "Yeah, but she was looking for - Jackson." I cringed and he turned around and walked into school. I rose my eyebrows at Scott and he smiled at me. "Is that the Jacket Derek gave you?" He asked and I nodded. "It looks good." I smiled and took his hand to lead him into the school.
In my free period I rushed to the boys locker room to talk to Jackson with the boys. I creeped into it and hid behind a wall by the showers. "Let's go! I have an announcement. Gather round. Quicker! Danny, put a shirt on. Stilinski, that means you! Let's go, gather round. Listen up. Police are asking for help on a missing child advisory. It's a sick girl, roaming around, totally naked. Now, it's supposed to get below 40 degrees tonight. I don't know about you, but the last time it was that cold and I was running around naked - I lost a testicle to exposure. Now, I don't want the same thing happening to some innocent girl. So police are organizing search parties for tonight. Sign up, find the missing girl, you get an automatic a in my classes." The boys rushed to a list that Coach Finstock hung on the wall by his office door.
Scott and Stiles brought Jackson over to me. "What are you doing here? If Lydia wants to take a naked hike in the woods, why should I care?" He asked and I scowled at him. "Because we have a pretty good idea that she might be - you know, turning." Scott whispered. "Turning?" Jackson asked and I nodded. "Yes. Turning." I tried to make it as obvious as I could but he didn't get it. "Into -" he waited for one of us to end the sentence as my jaw dropped. He can't actually be that stupid.
"A unicorn. What do you think, dumbass?" Stiles retorted. "Well, I think that if Lydia's turning, she's not the one that's gonna need help." Jackson smirked and I tilted my head to the side. "What do you mean?" Scott asked and Jackson snickered. "Oh, God, you've got it all backwards, McCall. When I was with Lydia, you should have seen the scratch marks she left on me. What do you think she's gonna do with a set of real claws? Heh." He pushed past the boys and whispered something to the coach. "Stilin- I mean Hale! Get out of here!" He shouted at me and I sighed before rushing out of the locker room, the other boys all laughing.
Two periods went by and I sat in my usual spot next to Stiles in chemistry. "All right, it's causing me severe mental anguish to say this, but he's right." Stiles finally spoke up and I put my pen down, turning my body to him. "I know." Scott answered and Stiles threw his arms in the air. "What if the next body part she steals is from someone who's still alive?" He hissed and I quickly turned back to Mr. Harris. "This is a pop quiz, Mr. Stilinski. If I hear your voice again, I may be tempted to give you detention for the rest of your high school career." Mr. Harris barked and I covered my mouth. "Can you do that?" Stiles asked.
"Well, there it is again. Your voice. Triggering the only impulse I've ever had to strike a student repeatedly and violently. I'll see you at 3:00 for detention." Mr. Harris said as I let out a giggle and Scott turned around. "You too, Mr. McCall?" Mr. Harris asked and I bit my lip. "No, sir." Scott shook his head and I quickly answered all the questions on my test. Jackson got up and ran out of class, holding his nose so I got up and handed in my pop quiz. "Name?" Mr. Harris asked and I nodded. "Checked over it?" He asked and I nodded again. "Do you want to spend the rest of this period outside?" I nodded and left the classroom, rushing to the boys bathroom.
Instead of Jackson I found Derek banging on a stall door. "Danny. Just go back to class. Just give me a second, okay?" Jackson called through the door, riping of toilet paper could be heard but Derek just kept on banging on the door so I walked up to him and tried stopping him. "I said give me a frickin' second!" Jackson shouted and Derek broke the lock, grabbing the back of Jackson's shirt and forcefully pulling him out of the stall. "Derek." Jackson looked up at Derek in fear. He then glared at me "How on earth did YOU get in here again?" He asked and I smirked at him, crossing my arms. He was about to mock me when Derek shook his shoulder a bit but Jackson didn't take his eyes away from me. "You're looking a little pale there, Jackson. You feeling okay?" I teased and he growled at me.
"Never better." He grunted and Derek made Jackson look at him. "If something's wrong, I need to know. You're with me now." He nodded and Jackson scoffed. "Wait - With you? Me with - With you? What am I, your little pet? I mean, just because you gave me the bite doesn't mean I'm part of your little wolf pack. Sorry, but to be honest, you don't exactly show outstanding leadership qualities."
"Is that so?" Derek asked, amused.
"Look, I've got my own agenda. Which doesn't involve running around the woods at night, howling at the moon with you, you and McCall, okay? So why don't you just back the fu -" He pointed at me until Derek furrowed his eyebrows and forcefully turned Jackson's head. "Lucia come here and look at it. I taught you what that is didn't I?" Derek asked as I stepped closer to Jackson and looked at the black liquid, leaving his ear. I cringed but nodded.
"What is it? What's happening?" Jackson panicked and Derek turned to me. "Your body's fighting the bite." I answered quietly. "Why?" Jackson asked, looking between me and Derek. "I don't know." Derek slowly backed away and I hid a smile. "What does it mean? What does it mean?!" Jackson looked at me and I took his shoulders to turn him to me. "Relax, Derek's just trying to scare you. I'm sure the black stuff is going to dissapear soon." I smirked and walked out triumphantly.
I walked towards Allison and Matt. "Nice dress." He commented her and I smiled. How cute. "Nice camera." Allison smiled. "Not her sister, her aunt. The one who murdered all those people." Someone said so I subtly turned my head so I could listen. "You mean the crazy bitch who killed all those people?" The other girl asked and I gritted my teeth. "Yeah, the fire, all those animal attacks - it was her aunt. And do you see the girl next to her? Allison's aunt killed her whole family except for Elliot, her younger brother. Poor Lucia." I sniffed, holding back tears. "Are you kidding? I sit next to her in English."
I decided to stop listening and turned around to leave but Scott pulled me into a classroom. "How'd you know?" I asked, wiping a few tears away. "I could hear your heartbeat. What is it?" Scott asked putting his hand on my arm carefully. "Everyone is watching me, and talking badly about Allison and her aunt. I don't know if I can stay in normal form if someone else says something." I said. "You can. Lucia, you'll be fine. Everything's gonna be okay. We're gonna find Lydia, and it's all gonna be good." He tried to assure me and I took a deep breath, forcing a smile.
"Come on." An idea popped into my mind as I took Scott's hand and led him out of the school and started the walk to the graveyard. "Where are we going?" Scott asked and I smiled at him. "We're going to help Allison at Kate's funeral." I nodded as Scott looked sceptical. "They'll kill us." He doubted but I shook my head "Not if we're careful." I assured him. He sighed but let me lead him to the graveyard.
Scott and I ran behind a statue and kneeled down. Allison looked over and we smiled at her so she sent us a sad smile back. "Yo." I turned around as Stiles joined us and kneeled down behind us. "Who the hell is that?" Stiles whispered whilst we watched an old guy talk to Allison. "He's definitely an Argent." Scott stated. "Her Grandfather." I mumbled after listening to what he had said to Allison. "Hey, you know, maybe they're just here for the funeral. I mean - what if they're the non - hunting side of the family? There could be non - hunting Argents. It's possible, right?" Stiles tried to cheer Scott and I up. "I know what they are. They're reinforcements." Scott whispered back when they were suddenly both pulled up, me following shortly after. "Ah. The three of you. Unbelievable." Stiles accidently dropped The sheriff's tie. "Pick up my tie." He demanded and Stiles nodded. "Got it. Sorry. I know, I'm supposed to ask." He apologised as the sheriff dragged us to his car, me sitting between Scott and Stiles.
"4 - 1 - 5 Adam." The walkie talkie said and the Sheriff furrowed his eyebrows. "I didn't copy that. Did you say 4 - 1 - 5 Adam?" He asked in surprise so I leaned closer to Scott. "Disturbance in a car." I explained and he nodded. "They were taking a heart attack victim - D.O.A. But on the way to the hospital, something hit 'em." The other Officer told my uncle. "What - hit the ambulance?" The sheriff asked. "Copy that. I'm standing in front of it right now. Something got in the back. There's blood everywhere. And I mean everywhere." The officer replied and my jaw dropped. "All right, unit 4, what's your 20?" The sheriff spoke and I suddenly felt very lucky for understanding everything. "Route 5 and post. I swear, I've never seen anything like this." A different officer explained and Scott, Stiles and I quickly climbed out of the car. Scott and I followed the scent of blood to the scene.
"What the hell is Lydia doing?" Stiles asked. "I don't know." I answered, in doubt that Lydia caused that mess. "What kept you from doing that, was it love?" Stiles asked us and I shrugged, looking at Scott for an answer. "I hope so." Scott answered.
"Do you need to get closer?" Stiles asked us and we shook out heads. "No, I got it. Do you?" Scott asked and I nodded. We were about to leave when Stiles grabbed Scott's arm. "Just - I just need you to find her. All right? Please, just - just find her." He begged us and my heart shattered. "We will." I nodded and followed Scott through the woods in our werewolf speed. We heard someone so we ran towards them. "You're not Lydia." Scott breathed out and the other werewolf ran off.
"Wait!" Scott shouted after it. "You go right. I'll go on the left side." I told Scott and we ran after the Omega. "Wait! Stop!" Scott tried to stop the Omega but he got caught and suddenly someone's arm wrapped around my waist and I was being pulled behind a tree along with Scott. I looked up and saw Derek watching the Omega dangling from the rope by his hands. "What are you doing? I can help him." Scott tried to break free from Derek's grip. "They're already here." Derek warned Scott as I kept quiet. "I can help him!" Scott hissed. "Quiet!" Derek hissed back, tightening his arm around my waist as soon as he spotted Chris, Allison's Granddad and a few other guys.
I leaned my head back against Derek's chest and held my breath. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" Chris asked in a demanding tone. "Nothing. Nothing, I swear." The Omega replied helplessly. "You're not from here, are you?" Chris asked but the Omega didn't answer. "Are you?!" He yelled and I jumped in fright, causing Derek to rest his head on mine, to give me a kind of reassurance. "No. No, I came - I came looking for the Alpha. I heard he was here. That's all. Look, I didn't do anything. I didn't hurt anyone. No one living. He wasn't alive in the ambulance. He wasn't, I swear." The Omega begged. So it wasn't Lydia after all.
"Gentlemen! Take a look at a rare sight. You wanna tell them what we've caught?" Allison's grandfather turned to Chris. "An Omega." Chris nodded and I swallowed the lump in my throat. "The lone wolf! Possibly kicked out of his own pack. Or the survivor of a pack that was hunted down. Maybe even murdered. And possibly alone by his own choice. Certainly not a wise choice. Because, as I am about to demonstrate - an Omega rarely survives - On his own." The Grandfather stepped closer. "Look. Look. Look at them! You see what they do? This is why you need me. Why we need each other. The only way to fight them is together." Derek told us and Scott looked up at him. "What are they doing?" He asked and Derek just bluntly looked at him before saying, "Declaring war."
"We have a code." Chris told his father as I held onto Derek's arm to prevent myself from slipping. Derek noticed and tightened his grip a bit. "Not when they murder my daughter." I growled quietly and I could feel Derek shake his head "Calm down Lucia. You're gonna get us all killed." He whispered. "They killed my family." I whispered back. "Well they killed mine too." Derek answered, carefully moving his thumb that was on my stomach.
"No code. Not anymore. From now on, these things are just bodies waiting to be cut in half. Are you listening? Because I don't care if they're wounded and weak. Or seemingly harmless - begging for their life with the promise that they will never, ever hurt anyone. Or some desperate, lost soul with no idea what they're getting into. We find them. We kill them. We kill them all" The Grandfather yelled before cutting the Omega in half. I gagged and turned around to hide my head in Derek's chest.
