(Dedicated to XSiriuslyPadfoot because without her help for ideas i would be still stuck trying to write this chapter)

Severus Snape's P.O.V.

The headmaster had summoned him to his office so he had no choice but to go. He could have blown him off, but that would have made the headmaster angry and no one wanted to see Albus Dumbledore angry, so with some grumbling noises he raised himself into a sitting position on his bed. He muttered some unpleasant words under his breath as he glanced at the clock on the night stand next to his bed. It read three-thirty. He shook his head as he stood up, his feet hitting the cold floor causing him to make a small hissing noise. He pulled his robe on over his black pajama pants and black t-shirt. He pulled on his black boots before he walked to the door. As much as he was lacking in sleep and the early morning wake up didn't help, he wanted to know what was so important that it couldn't wait until morning. As he made his way towards the headmasters office he pulled his hair into a ponytail at the base of his neck. He was too tired to care what he looked like and frankly he didn't care when he wasn't tired either.    He made his way to the headmaster's office. He couldn't fathom what brought the elf pounding on his door at the request of the headmaster. He didn't think once it could have anything to do with Andromeda. Why should he think that, he didn't know where she was or what she was doing and no one had an answer for him. She hadn't shown up to his class in months and from what he knew she had been pulled out of all her other classes. When he asked Albus about it, all he said was that she was fine, she was a bit weaker then they thought and Poppy said it would be best for her to get more rest. When he asked what it was that kept her out of class, Albus did not elaborate further.         He allowed himself a moment to sigh as he gave the password to the statues that lead to Albus's office. Butter cream Lollipop, really albus, he thought to himself as he stood on the rising stairs. Albus really needed to not use such weird password, but he guessed that was neither here or near at the moment. He reached the headmaster's office and knocked.    "What is so important that it couldn't  wait until the morning?" Severus asked irritated after the headmaster let him in. "Its three-thirty in the morning and i haven't had much sleep"    "Severus" He turned his head as he heard a female voice. Standing behind Albus a few feet was Minerva McGonagall. He scowled at her and she frowned back at him before continuing. "This needs to be done discretely, this is important, trust me, it needs to be this way to be happen"    "For what to happen?" Severus suddenly became less irritated and more confused, He looked back and fourth between Minerva and Albus as she came to stand next to him. "What are you talking about? What is going on?"    "Professor" He heard another voice, female. He turned to face where it came from. He knew that voice. He suddenly needed to feel it again. "Please don't be angry with me"    "Andromeda" He spoke her name in barely a whisper. He wanted to make sure he was really hearing it. "Why would i be angry with you?"    "Because i've kept a secret from you" She spoke softly, he cocked his head slightly even more confused then before. "I should have told this when i first found out, but i was terrified. I was so certain you didn't want to know."    "Know what?" he started moving closer to where her voice was, but Albus shook his head. "Andromeda what are you talking about? Are you going to tell me why you've been missing from my classes for the last few months"    "Yes" She stepped into the light. Severus let out a small gasp, something people never usually heard from him. Next to her Albus and Minerva exchanged a look. After a moment he set his jaw, his lips forming a thin line on his face. His eyes moved from her face to her stomach back to her face.     "Four Months" He asked quietly. His tone was cold and almost sounded dangerous.. He watched her shiver under his cold stare. Minerva went over and put her arm around Andromeda who was now shaking badly. "why?"    "I thought you would hate me, or the baby." She looked down at her hands afraid to look at him. "I didn't want to get rid of the baby. I thought that's what you would want"    "How could you even think that" Severus was shaking with anger. His voice raising slightly. He watched the shock in her eye as she looked up at him. He has never been loud since she has known him.At that moment he didn't care, he wanted, no he needed her to know he was angry with her.     "Severus" Albus interrupted before anymore harm could be done. "it was her choice not to tell you, plus with what we've been discussing would you really want to put them in harm's way?"    "No I suppose not" Severus sighed rubbing his eyes. His mind was reeling. He sat down slowly in a chair in front of Albus's desk. He ran a long thin finger across his bottom lip before closing his eyes.     "What are you talking about?" Andromeda asked, he could hear pancic in her voice. "Please... Severus"    He looked up at her, his eyes snapping open. He watched her cover her mouth as she realized what she just called him. He saw shock rest across her face as she widened her eyes. He realized then just how vulnerable she looked, how young she was. Yes, he knew she was only sixteen, soon to be seventeen, but he had seen her as grown up. He had almost forgotten just how young she really was. Andromeda's P.O.V.     "What are you talking about?" Andromeda asked feeling panic rising in her. She had felt it the moment she heard her grandfather say something about Severus's possibly putting her and the baby in harm's way. "Please... Severus"    Her eyes widened as the realization of what she had just called him. She had never thought to call him anything but Professor before today. Even that night when they were together she hadn't called him by his first name. Next to her Minerva made a soft noise and Albus raised a brow. She didn't care if they suddenly knew exactly how she felt about him, though Minerva already knew and she had a feeling her grandfather knew. She moved away from Minerva and walked over to him. With a small amount of difficulties she lowered herself slowly to her knees. She took both his hands in hers, surprised when he didn't pull them away.    "I'm sorry, sir" She whispered. She looked back down at his hands in hers. "I didn't mean to hurt, I never meant for any of this to happen, it got so out of control"    "Andromeda" He pulled his hands out of hers and touched her chin. She felt her heart kicked into overdrive as she looked up at him. "Call me Severus, i liked that"     "I will" Andromeda smiled softly at him before she took a deep breath. "please Severus, tell me what is going on"    "I can't" He pulled his hand away from her face and suddenly she felt cold. She felt a sense of dread as he stood up. He did not walk away from her though. He held his hand out for her and she took it. As if her body didn't weigh twenty pounds over weight he had pulled to her feet with the greatest of ease. "I need you to trust me, i know its hard to trust someone like me, but i need you to"    "Severus...." He put a finger to her lips and she couldn't help but kiss it gently. His mouth quirked up a a bit in the corner, but otherwise his face remained expressionless.     "Trust me" His voice a so quiet she only heard it because he leaned down and said it in her ear. She shivered at his warm breath against his ear and all she could do is nod.     "I always have" with those words she wrapped her arms around him and placed her head against his chest. She could hear his heart speed up at the contact. Despite what people say, he did have a heart and it wasn't cold, and neither was his body. She felt warm, felt safe in his arms and she knew that should be the last place she felt safe. She closed her eyes and sighed contently as she felt him brush a kiss on the top of her head. Albus Dumbledore's P.O.V. (1st person)     I sighed softly as I pulled Minerva out of the room. I know it was my office, but they needed a moment alone and she understood. He took it better then he thought he would. I knew he would be upset, but he didn't shun her or cast her out. He let his angry out, she accepted it and that was that. Only it wasn't over. He and I knew this was far from over and in the next few months things would get worse as I venture away from the castle more and more. I watched the interaction between my granddaughter and Severus Snape and i knew immediately they loved each other. I knew since the day Severus had told him he slept with  a woman he shouldn't have. I knew that it was her he was talking about and when i heard the hesitation in his voice i knew it.     I sat slowly on the stairs outside my office and frowned. I rested my head in my uninjured hand. I really hated this part of the war. People are dying everyday and all I could think about was how i could keep these two from loosing each other. I knew it was a futile attempt. I knew once he killed me worse things would happen to him. He would be tortured, he would be interrogated and in the end Voldemort would know Severus would never tell him anything. When he didn't tell Voldemort anything he would kill him. I knew this and I couldn't do a damn thing about it. I ran a hand over my face and sighed warily. Severus Snape was going to die.
