" Promise?"

" Yeah... Promise."

Just then, a car hit him, right in front of her eyes. She saw blood everywhere.

" Hey, Tokura. Wake up!" Misaki felt someone shaking her. Her eyes shot open and met Kai's worried ones.

Kai helped her up. She suddenly burst into tears.

" Hey, don't cry." Kai said and hugged her. Misaki cried even harder as she felt the warmth of his body.

" I-i-i'm s-so s-s-orry." She said while choking.

Kai stroked her head. " Sh..... It's okay. Just let it all out."

It took a while before the tears stopped. Her hiccups slowly died and she was calm.

" Kai. Can you please tell me that you're never going to leave me?" Misaki asked. She really wanted someone to stay by her side and never leave her, not like how her parents left her.

" I promise that. So please don't leave me too, Misaki."

" Thank you." She whispered and wrapped her arms around his neck. Hearing him say her name made her feel content. She felt the last tear slip down and she smiled.

" Let's go, it's already past seven, I'll treat you to dinner." He let go of her and wiped her tear but he didn't let go of her hand.
