chapter seven

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Brandon, I need to talk to you." Kenzie spoke as she approached an unsuspecting Brandon who was looking through his locker.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Uh - sure." He replied, turning to face her. There was an awkward moment of silence before Brandon spoke again. "Look, Kenz I'm really sorry about what-"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Save it!" Kenzie snapped. "I'm not here to talk about that."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Brandon furrowed his brows. "Don't you wanna know what happened, isn't that why you're talking to me?" He puzzled.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Kenzie huffed. "I couldn't care less." She lied through her teeth.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Brandon frowned, he was obviously confused. "Then why are you here?" Kenzie looked around to make sure nobody was listening.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"I lost my phone." She whispered. "And that phone has a photo of you and Kendall."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Brandon's blue eyes widened. "Kenzie I want to keep this a secret just as much as you-"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"I know." Kenzie cut off. "But I have no idea who has it, or if anyone even has it."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Brandon bit his lip. "What are you gonna do?" He questioned.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Kenzie tilted her head and flipped one of her long chestnut curls over her shoulder. "I'll take care of it."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀With that she walked away and back over to a patiently waiting Annie. Annie widened her dark brown eyes and raised her eyebrows.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"He doesn't know anything." Kenzie informed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"I guess that's a good thing isn't it-" Annie stopped, her sight focused on something else and it consumed her thoughts, and speech. Kenzie followed her gaze, only to land on a tall, brunette, football player.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Kenzie sighed loudly. "Annie!"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Annie jumped, startled.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"No matter how much sense I talk into you, you just can't seem to keep your eyes off him." Kenzie reported, shaking her head, which made her brown curls sway. She tilted head, softening her stare and looking directly into Annie's dark brown eyes. "So go for it." She breathed in defeat.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"What?" Annie perplexed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Kenzie smirked. "Go for him" She placed her hand on her best friend's arm. Annie squealed excitedly.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Really?" She marveled.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Yes, now go, quickly, before I change my mind." Kenzie chuckled. She smiled as she watched Annie skip over to Hayden, excitement and love arousing from her frame. But as she watched Annie more her smile became a frown and tears tinged at the corners of her honey brown eyes. She wished she could experience that, loving someone so desperately it consumes you, and no matter what anyone says you can't help but love them, even if the whole world is telling you not to. Even if you're telling yourself not to.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀She blinked away her tears and shook her head. Kenzie you're just being silly. She thought to herself. You could have any one of these guys if you wanted. She scanned the beautifully decorated hallways and the many guys that filled them. But that was the problem, she didn't want any of them. Maybe she was oblivious to it at the time, but deep down Mackenzie Ziegler craved Johnny Orlando's touch, and there was nothing she could do about it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀✨⭐️✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀[ a/n i had to add a bit of hannie in there come on haha. but kenzie hurry up and realise you want johnny jezzz. and brandon knows nothing about the phone. or does he? hahaha ]
