i woke up the next morning, with joão beside me - he was already awake and was scrolling through his phone. last night we got tired so we walked to the hotel and fell asleep together.

"hey," he looked up from his phone and smiled once he had seen that i was awake.

i sat up and rubbed my eyes tiredly, "what time is it?"

"9:39. i've got practice at 10 to 1:00 pm today."

"oh.. alright."

"do you wanna come?"

"no it's okay," i replied. "i'll ask rosia if she wants to hang out. we can check out qatar and probably go shopping,"

"take my card then, if you do go shopping," he said as i nodded and picked up my phone.

i added a thumbs up emoji to her message cause i wasn't bothered to say okay - then me and joão got out of bed and changed.

i sat infront of my mirror and did a different hairstyle for once cause i always leave my hair out. i put a claw grip in my hair and left out two strands of hair - i then did my makeup like i normally do.

"do i look okay?" i questioned him anxiously.

"you always look okay." he smiled. "more than okay, actually."

i went over to him as he placed me in his lap. he placed his lips on mine roughly as i kissed him back passionately, we deepened the kiss as he slid his tongue in.

"stop, joão i have to go." i said as we pulled away, "rosia is probably waiting for me in the lobby."

he groaned and rolled his eyes, "who cares about rosia?"

"i do" i chuckled as i got off his lap and unlocked the door. "i'll see you later, bye." i took his card and closed the door behind me.

walking through the hallway i spotted a small, white kitten.

i squealed and kneeled down next to it and stroked it's head, it purred happily and walked around me.

"his name is milo," someone said, behind me.

i turned around and saw a girl, same age as me. she was very pretty and had long straight blonde hair.

"my name is katerina - but you can call me kat, it's nice to meet you." she smiled. "i work here part time at the hotel as a cook - well i mostly make the desserts in the buffet." she held her hand out for me to shake it.

i shook her hand and smiled. "it's nice to meet you too, my name is-"

"eleanor silva, you're joão felix's girlfriend." she interrupted.

"yeah," i said, surprised. "how'd you know?"

"you're literally everywhere online - i follow you on tiktok and instagram!"

"wow, i don't know that i was popular," i chuckled as i heard a buzzing noise coming from my phone, it was rosia calling me. i accepted the video call.

"where tf are you? i told you to get here at 10 and now it's 10 minutes past," rosia said through the screen.

"sorry i-"

"is that kat behind you?" she interrupted excitedly as kat waved at the phone. "and milo??"

"wait you know kat??" i asked curiously. rosia was probably the biggest extrovert i knew so i wasn't that surprised.

"yeah. we met the first day we got here," rosia explained - and then her face lit up with an idea. "hey kat why don't you go shopping with us?"

"sure," kat smiled. "i just finished my shift right now,"

"great. come to the lobby guys and we can go cause i feel really awkward standing here alone," she said before i hanged up on her.

we said bye to milo as we walked down the stairs together, we started to talk.

"i've been working here for a year now. baking is my passion. but i was born in england before i moved here when i was 16." she explained. "you should come to the kitchen sometime and i can teach you how to make any dessert you want!"

"that sounds like a lot of fun, i'll definitely come there," i grinned as we made it into the lobby, i spotted rosia near the door and we walked over to her.

she looked up from her phone and spoke impatiently, "finally! i've been waiting here for god knows how long."

"my bad," i rolled my eyes jokingly as we walked outside and left the resort. kat obviously knew where everything was since she lived here so we followed her into town where all the shops would be.

a ten minute walk later and i was boiling hot, joão was right and it was only 25 degrees celcius.

"oh my god, i'm melting," i exhaled and used my hand as a fan.

kat laughed. "oh you'll get used to it. the heat never bothered me anyway," (elsa who??)

we stopped at a nearby shop and bought 3 water bottles. i put the cold bottle on my forehead and it felt so good

after 15 minutes of walking we finally reached the town centre - it wasn't that busy as it was still early; but later on it would get busier.

all 3 of us firstly went into a clothing shop, rosia practically ran inside and gazed at every dress she saw.

"this dress is so cute!" rosia exclaimed, picking up a light pink dress and holding it in her hand. this girl literally loves to shop

i took a pic of us randomly for my qatar memories and immediately saw a pretty dress. i walked over to it and picked it up, it was a white dress and it wasn't too basic.

after paying for whatever clothes we wanted, we popped into another shop and bought some jewelry. i bought a gold necklace which was kinda expensive so i felt guilty for buying it with joão's card. but he was a millionaire - and he did tell me to get whatever i wanted so that calmed me a bit.

we went to get lunch since we were getting kind of hungry and we decided to go to this place with mexican food

walking in, we sat at a table with 3 chairs and a waiter gave us a menu.

"hmm," kat said. "i don't really know what to get."

rosia looked at the menu and instantly decided, "i know what i'm getting, what about you eleanor?"

"i'll just get chips," i shrugged.

kat looked at me like i had just comitted a crime, but rosia nodded.

"eleanor is a picky eater, she doesn't eat that much." she explained to kat as i smiled awkwardly.

suddenly the waiter came out from nowhere and stood at our table, "what would you guys like to order?" he smiled kindly.

we ordered whatever we were getting and he walked away with our menu. i took a sip of my water as rosia spoke up,

"so, are you dating anyone kat?"

"no.." she smiled embarrassingly. "i have no social life and i'm weird. i don't think i'll ever get a boyfriend.."

"of course you will! you're literally so gorgeous," i complimented her as she blushed profusely. "any man who looks at you and thinks you're weird is blind,"

rosia agreed and nodded. "exactly what eleanor said. you're beautiful,"

"thanks guys, you two are so kind; i admire you guys alot." she smiled.

rosia and kat talked about random things as two boys walked into the store - they didn't notice the boys but i did.

"oh fuck," i muttered under my breathe when i realised who they were.
