Another day in the hospital room, but today felt different. The air felt lighter, and for the first time in a while, you allowed yourself to breathe a little easier. Jungkook walked in with a tray of breakfast, a small smile playing on his lips. He set it down gently on the table beside you.

"You're going home today," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "We finally get to leave this place."

You blinked in surprise, your heart fluttering at the thought of being in your own space again. It felt surreal—like a dream you had been waiting to wake up from.

"Really?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper, still in disbelief. "I thought we'd have to stay a little longer..."

Jungkook chuckled, walking over to your side. "The doctors gave the green light. Everything's good. You and Jaehyun are both healthy. We just need to take a few things slow, but we're good to go home."

A wave of relief washed over you. Finally, you could leave the sterile walls of the hospital and go back to your own space with Jungkook and your baby. You looked down at Jaehyun, who was still peacefully sleeping in his little bassinet beside you.

"This is really happening," you whispered, a soft smile tugging at your lips. "I get to go home with you both."

Jungkook leaned down and kissed your forehead, his hand gently brushing through your hair. "We're finally going home, Y/n. It's just the beginning now. I can't wait to have our little family in our own place."

You looked up at Jungkook, a little smile on your face. "What time are we leaving?" you asked, eager to finally head home.

Jungkook glanced at the clock and then back at you, a reassuring smile on his face. "As soon as you finish eating and packing everything," he replied. "I'll take care of the rest."

You nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and relief. It had been a long few days in the hospital, but now, the thought of being home with your family was enough to make everything feel worth it. You grabbed your fork, ready to eat, but your mind was already drifting to the thought of your home—your little family.

You couldn't help but smile at the thought. "I can't wait to see my mom," you said, feeling a sense of warmth at the thought of being back home. "And the smell of home... it's going to be so nice."

Jungkook's smile softened as he looked at you, nodding. "I'm sure she's missed you," he said, his tone gentle. "We'll be there soon, and everything will feel like normal again. Just... with a little more love around."

You chuckled softly, feeling the weight of the past few days lift. The excitement of returning home, the comfort of your mother's presence, and the warmth of your own space were exactly what you needed. You could already picture it—the coziness of being back in your own bed, the familiar smells, and the joy of sharing it all with Jungkook and Jaehyun.

Once you were dressed and ready to leave, you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling inside. Jaehyun was securely wrapped in his blanket, his little face peeking out as you held him tightly against your chest. You made sure the blanket was wrapped around him snugly, careful to keep him warm and comfortable.

Jungkook helped you gather the last of your things, making sure everything was packed and ready for the trip home. He took a moment to admire how protective you were of your baby, his gaze softening as he watched you.

"Ready?" he asked, his voice full of affection and a little excitement as well. You nodded, feeling a mix of relief and happiness. It felt like the first step back to normalcy, and you couldn't wait to share this new chapter of your life with your family.

With Jaehyun in your arms, and Jungkook by your side, you felt more complete than ever. "Let's go home," you said, smiling up at him, ready to take that next step with your little family.

As the car began to roll out of the hospital parking lot, a sense of peace settled over you. The soft sound of Jaehyun's quiet breaths against your chest made your heart swell with love. You gazed down at his tiny face, his little features still so new and perfect, the faintest hint of his dark hair peeking out from under the blanket. You whispered softly to him, not caring if Jungkook could hear, "We're going home, little one. You're going to meet your grandma and grandpa, and your aunts and uncles too."

Jungkook glanced at you from the driver's seat, his hands steady on the wheel, but his eyes full of affection as he watched the two of you. "You okay?" he asked, his voice gentle, as though he knew exactly what you were feeling.

You nodded, a soft smile playing on your lips. "Yeah, I'm good. Just can't wait to be home."

He chuckled, his lips curving up in that way that always made your heart skip. "I know the feeling. I think Jaehyun's gonna love the house... and your mom's cooking."

You laughed lightly, the sound so comfortable in the car, the first real moment of relief you'd felt in a while. "She's probably got the house smelling like heaven already."

Jaehyun's soft sigh broke the quiet moment, and you turned your attention back to him, making sure the blanket was still snug around his little body. You placed a gentle kiss on the top of his head and murmured, "Everything's gonna be okay, little one. You'll be surrounded by so much love."

Jungkook turned onto the road, and you could feel the weight of the day lift with every passing mile. The hospital, the tests, the doctors, all felt so far away now, replaced by the comforting thought of being home—of seeing your family again, of settling into this new life with your son.

As the car took the familiar turns towards home, your heart began to race, eager to finally be surrounded by the warmth of family, to smell the scent of your home, and to rest in the comfort of your own bed.

"Ready for this?" Jungkook asked, his voice soft but full of anticipation as he reached over, briefly touching your hand.

You smiled, squeezing his hand gently, your heart so full it almost felt like it could burst. "More than ready."

You glance over at Jungkook with a soft smile, still holding Jaehyun securely in your arms. "I actually bought a baby car seat for when he grows a little taller. I can't wait to start driving him around, taking him out for walks and little trips."

Jungkook looks over at you, a proud grin spreading across his face. "You're already thinking ahead," he says, his tone filled with admiration. "Guess we'll be going on a lot of little adventures once he's big enough, huh?"

You nod, feeling your heart swell as you think about all the places you want to take Jaehyun. "I just want him to be comfortable," you add softly. "And I'm excited for the day we can start doing normal things with him, like family outings. I want him to feel safe and loved."

Jungkook's eyes soften as he looks at you, clearly moved by your words. "He's lucky to have you as his mom," he says quietly. "And I'm lucky to be here with both of you."

You lean over to place a gentle kiss on his cheek, a mixture of emotions rushing through you. It's overwhelming but comforting at the same time, knowing that Jungkook feels the same way. You look down at Jaehyun, now fast asleep in his car seat, and your heart flutters with love.

The drive home feels surreal. After everything, after all the waiting and uncertainty, it's finally happening. You're taking your baby home. The thought brings a deep sense of contentment, but also a little excitement for the new beginnings ahead.

As Jungkook drives, he keeps glancing at you and Jaehyun, a soft smile never leaving his face. "We're going to make so many memories," he says, his voice filled with warmth. "This is just the beginning."

You lean back in your seat, feeling a sense of peace wash over you as you look out the window, the city passing by. "Yeah," you whisper, "It really is."

You look down at Jaehyun, your heart swelling with love as you continue softly rocking him. "I can't wait to show you your home, baby," you say, your voice filled with tenderness. "Your room is ready and waiting for you, and I just know you're going to love it." You look at Jungkook, feeling that same sense of excitement that has been building up for weeks. "It's all been so surreal, but now we get to go home together, as a family."

The thought of being in your own space, with your baby in your arms, feels like the perfect next step. "There's so much to look forward to," you add, glancing in the back and picturing Jaehyun growing up in this new chapter of your life. "I can't wait for you to explore your room and all the little things we've set up for you." Your voice softens, a smile pulling at your lips as you gently kiss his forehead. "It's going to be amazing, Jaehyun. Our home, our family."

Jungkook, watching the two of you with a soft gaze, reaches over to gently squeeze your hand. His eyes are full of warmth as he looks at you, then at their son. "Yeah, it's going to be great," he agrees, a faint smile crossing his face. "We'll make it everything you've always dreamed of."

As the car pulls into your driveway, you feel a wave of excitement rush over you. The familiar sight of your home, the place where so many memories have been made, brings a sense of comfort and happiness. You can't wait to share this new chapter of your life with Jaehyun, to finally introduce him to the space you've prepared just for him.

Jungkook helps you out of the car, his hands steady as he takes Jaehyun into his arms, gently adjusting the baby's blanket to make sure he's snug. "We're home, little one," he murmurs softly, his gaze full of love as he looks down at Jaehyun. His smile is warm and full of pride, watching his son sleep so peacefully.

You step forward, eager to get inside, and reach for your house keys. The excitement in your chest builds as you unlock the front door. "Here we go, Jaehyun," you say, glancing back at your baby in Jungkook's arms. "This is your home now."

While you open the door, you hear the sound of Jungkook unloading the trunk, his footsteps heavy with the bags and other things you brought from the hospital. You turn back to see him balancing everything with ease, his smile never fading. You can see the joy on his face, too, as he steps toward the door with Jaehyun cradled carefully in his arms.

"Welcome home," you whisper to the little one in your arms, your heart swelling with love. Your mind races with all the memories you're about to make in this house with your family, and the future that lies ahead. It's finally time to settle in and begin this new chapter of life—together.

As you step inside, the soft warmth of your home wraps around you, but something feels different, more magical. Your eyes scan the room, and you suddenly stop in your tracks. The house, which you had left in its usual peaceful state, is now transformed. There are soft white lights twinkling everywhere, their glow casting a cozy ambiance across the room. Christmas decorations adorn every surface, from the carefully placed wreaths on the walls to the tiny snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.

You feel your heart skip a beat as your gaze falls upon a large "Welcome Home" banner, bright and festive, hanging across the living room. You blink in surprise, trying to process the beautiful sight before you. Then, slowly, you begin to notice the familiar faces gathered in the room.

Your mother is there, her warm smile lighting up her face as she stands by the Christmas tree, her arms open wide. Jungkook's parents are standing next to her, both of them beaming with joy. The entire room is filled with laughter and cheer, the scent of home-cooked food drifting through the air, and you realize in that moment that this is more than just a house—it's the home where your family will grow together.

Jungkook steps up behind you, his eyes glimmering with affection as he sees the look of shock and happiness on your face. He gently places a hand on your back, his voice soft as he says, "I wanted to make this moment even more special. Welcome home, Y/n. Welcome home, Jaehyun."

Tears well up in your eyes as the reality of it all hits you. This is your family. This is your home. And this is the beginning of the rest of your life with Jungkook and Jaehyun.

As you make your way further into the living room, your heart is full, and you look over at your father, who's standing by the couch with a proud smile on his face. He seems so excited to finally meet the little one. You can see the love in his eyes as he looks at you, his expression filled with emotion.

You gently walk toward him, cradling Jaehyun in your arms. The baby's little fingers curl around the soft fabric of your shirt, and your heart swells with pride. "Dad," you whisper, the words barely leaving your lips before you speak again. "I want you to meet your grandson."

Your father's eyes widen in disbelief, his smile growing wider as he looks down at Jaehyun. He reaches out with trembling hands, unable to hide the tears that are welling up in his eyes. "He's so beautiful," he murmurs softly, his voice thick with emotion.

You carefully hand Jaehyun to him, watching as your father's strong hands gently cradle the baby, his face lighting up with pure joy. His eyes are moist, his smile soft and full of love as he stares down at the tiny life in his arms. He looks up at you, his voice cracking slightly. "You've made me so proud, Y/n. This little one... he's perfect."

The moment is full of warmth and love. You stand there watching, your heart full as you see your father, usually so stoic and composed, completely vulnerable in this tender moment. He rocks Jaehyun gently, murmuring sweet words to him. Tears fall freely from his eyes, but it's clear they're tears of happiness.

"Welcome to the family, Jaehyun," your father says quietly, his voice thick with emotion as he presses a soft kiss to the top of the baby's head.

As you step back, feeling the weight of the tender moment with your father, you hear the sound of footsteps approaching from behind. You turn and see Jungkook's father walking toward you with a warm smile on his face. Instinctively, you bow in respect, but he gently stops you with a hand, a reassuring smile on his lips.

"No need for that," he says softly. "You're family now."

His words, though simple, bring a sense of comfort, and you smile up at him. He takes a few more steps forward, eyes immediately drawn to the baby in your father's arms. The moment he sees Jaehyun, his face lights up with joy, and he reaches out, wanting to hold him as well.

You step aside, allowing him to take Jaehyun in his arms, watching as the baby is passed between the generations. Jungkook's father's hands are large but gentle as he cradles Jaehyun, a deep sense of pride in his gaze. He looks down at the baby for a moment, taking in the softness of his features, before he looks up at you and smiles warmly.

"He's a handsome boy," Jungkook's father says, his voice full of affection as he gently rocks Jaehyun. "Looks just like his father," he adds with a chuckle, his eyes glistening with emotion.

The compliment makes you smile, and you nod, looking at your baby and then at Jungkook, who is standing by your side with a proud grin. It feels like everything has come full circle—your family and his, together at last, sharing in this beautiful new chapter.

Jungkook's father continues to look down at Jaehyun, his expression softening even further as he holds the baby close. "I can't wait to watch him grow," he says, voice full of promise and love.

The room feels full of warmth, and for the first time in a long while, everything seems perfect.

You glance around the living room again, still in awe of how beautifully everything's been arranged—the soft white lights casting a gentle glow, the elegant garlands hung neatly across the mantel, and subtle Christmas touches scattered through the space without making it feel overwhelming. It looked like something out of a dream.

"Did you guys decorate the house?" you ask, eyes bouncing between the details and your family.

Jungkook's mother steps forward with a proud little nod, hands clasped together. "I did," she says with a satisfied smile. "I thought it would match the theme of the house. Simple, clean—just enough to welcome you home properly."

Your lips part in surprise, touched beyond words. "It's perfect," you murmur, voice soft and full of gratitude. "Seriously... it feels like magic in here."

She beams at that, stepping over to fix one of the small bows on the side table. "We didn't want to overwhelm you or the baby. Just something soft and warm to bring in a little holiday joy."

Jungkook wraps an arm around your waist gently, glancing at his mom with a knowing smile. "She made us wait until you were checked out to light anything," he teases, and she laughs in return.

"Well, I wanted everything to be ready the moment you walked in. A new baby and your first night home should be celebrated."

You feel yourself getting a little emotional again, but you hold it together—because this, all of this, was everything you never even thought to ask for... and more.

You turn to Jungkook's mother, eyes soft with appreciation. "Thank you... for everything," you say sincerely, your voice laced with emotion. "This means so much."

She smiles, gently patting your arm before moving to sit beside Jungkook's father.

Jungkook, seeing how tired you're getting, wraps his arm around your shoulder and carefully guides you to the couch. "Come here, babe," he murmurs, helping you lower down slowly. "Let's get you comfortable."

You sink into the cushions with a grateful sigh, your body finally getting a break after the past few days. Jungkook props a few pillows behind you, brushing some hair from your face before sitting beside you, keeping you close.

Across the room, your parents sit with wide smiles, your father holding Jaehyun again, gently rocking him while your mother coos beside him. The soft sound of a lullaby version of a classic Christmas song plays from the speakers Jungkook father had connected earlier, filling the room with a gentle melody.

The lights twinkle faintly, reflecting off the windows, and for a moment, everything feels still and whole. No chaos, no stress—just love, warmth, and a new beginning.

You lean your head on Jungkook's shoulder, watching your baby being passed lovingly between the two families, and you whisper to him, "This moment... it's perfect."

He smiles, pressing a soft kiss to your temple. "Yeah," he says quietly, his voice warm with emotion. "It really is."

Even though it was only the start of December, the Christmas spirit was already dancing in the air—between the warm lights, the gentle music, and the quiet laughter shared in the living room. You took a moment, soaking it all in, heart full. But as the buzz settled, you shifted a little, feeling the stiffness of your clothes after a long morning.

"I want to change," you whispered to Jungkook, looking up at him.

Without hesitation, he nodded and turned to your family and his parents, who were happily doting over Jaehyun. "Can you all watch him for a bit?" Jungkook asked, his tone polite but warm. "I'm gonna help Y/n get ready."

Your mother quickly waved a hand. "Of course! Don't worry, sweetheart. We've got him."

"Go freshen up, you both look like you've been through a whole movie," his mother added with a chuckle, rocking Jaehyun gently in her arms.

Jungkook helped you up carefully, guiding you through the hallway toward your room. His hand never left the small of your back as he helped you up the few steps, glancing at you every so often like he was still in disbelief that you were here, safe, and home.

As you entered your bedroom, you paused, breathing in the familiar scent of your sheets and the faint sweetness of the candle you'd left out weeks ago. "God, I missed this," you mumbled, already walking to your dresser.

Jungkook came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist gently, mindful of your stomach. "I missed you being here," he murmured, pressing a kiss to your shoulder.

You smiled, leaning into him for a moment before reaching for a pair of cozy sweats and a long sleeve top. "Help me?"

He nodded, hands ready to take care of you like he'd made a silent vow to do since the moment he first saw you hold Jaehyun.

Jungkook hadn't left your side since you came home—hovering gently but constantly, like a quiet protector. The only time he wasn't right next to you was when you stepped into the shower, and even then, it wasn't long before you heard a soft knock on the bathroom door.

"Y/n? You okay in there?" he'd ask, his voice laced with concern even though he tried to keep it light.

You'd chuckle faintly, letting the steam relax your sore muscles. "I'm okay. I'll be out in a minute."

And when you did step out, hair wrapped in a towel, fresh warmth hugging your skin, he was already waiting—holding out your clothes like he was your own personal assistant. He helped you change carefully, fingers brushing your skin in quiet affection, making sure the waistband of your pants didn't press too hard against your stomach.

Now, you sat by your vanity, brushing out your damp hair, a soft playlist humming low in the background. Jungkook leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed, watching you like he couldn't believe his eyes. There was something almost childlike in the way he admired you—still in awe, still caught in this dream of domestic warmth and new life.

"You look beautiful," he said softly, making you glance at him through the mirror.

"I literally just gave birth," you smirked.

He shrugged. "Still beautiful."

You rolled your eyes playfully, but the smile on your lips said you believed him. As you ran your fingers through your hair, trying to bring some shape back into it, he came closer, reaching for your brush to help. His movements were gentle, patient—each stroke like a love letter without words.

"I like this," he murmured, eyes meeting yours in the mirror. "You. Me. Here."

You let your hand rest on his for a moment, heart full, and nodded. "Me too."

Jungkook's fingers brushed your shoulder as he gently set the brush down on the vanity. The way he looked at you—like you were the center of his universe—made your breath catch just slightly. His thumb grazed along your jaw, and he leaned in closer, voice barely above a whisper.

"I love you, Y/n."

Your heart swelled. The words never lost their meaning when they came from him—if anything, they felt deeper now. You turned toward him slowly, eyes soft and glassy as you took him in. "I love you too."

He smiled, that quiet kind of smile that only came out when he was overwhelmed by how much he felt.

And then, with no rush or urgency, he leaned in and kissed you. It was slow, gentle—like a moment suspended in time. His lips moved with yours, tender and sure, arms wrapping around your waist to pull you in just a little closer. You melted into him, the warmth of his love grounding you, filling every part of you that had ever longed for something safe and true.

When you finally pulled apart, your foreheads rested together, both of you breathing each other in. Nothing else mattered in that moment—not the house full of people, not the world outside. Just you, Jungkook, and the quiet promise between your hearts.

You sat cross-legged on the bed, fingers lightly running over the soft duvet as you waited, your eyes inevitably drawn to the bathroom door when it creaked open.

There he was—Jungkook—his body glistening faintly from the steam, damp hair falling in loose waves over his forehead. A single towel hung low on his hips, water still dripping slowly down his chest, over the defined lines of his abs. The tattoos on his arm and chest stood out even more against his flushed skin, the ink dancing along his muscles with every movement.

He caught your stare and smirked, the corner of his lips tugging up into that playful, knowing grin. "Like what you see?" he teased in a low voice, walking over with slow, confident steps.

You rolled your eyes, lips twitching with amusement. "Just admiring the view."

He leaned in, pressing a warm kiss to your forehead, then your lips—slow, lingering—before pulling back with another smile. "Be right back," he murmured, heading toward the wardrobe with the same easy grace, towel shifting slightly as he moved.

You bit your lip watching him disappear inside, heart fluttering at how effortlessly he still made you feel like a flustered teenager in love. Even now, after everything. Especially now.

Jungkook stepped out of the wardrobe, adjusting the collar of his button-up shirt as he walked toward you. The top two buttons were left undone, teasing a glimpse of his tattoos and collarbone. Paired with simple, fitted black jeans, the look was effortlessly attractive—casual but undeniably striking. His hair was still slightly damp, giving him that fresh-out-the-shower softness that made your heart skip.

He ran a hand through his damp hair, pushing it back as he looked at you, the corner of his mouth lifting when he caught the way your gaze followed him.

You barely had time to speak when his eyes scanned you slowly, gaze warm and locked in. "You look too good to just be lounging around upstairs," he murmured, before walking over and wrapping his arms around your waist, picking you up with ease.

A soft squeal escaped your lips as he sat down on the bed and placed you gently on his lap, holding you close. "There," he said softly, arms settling around your waist as he rested his chin on your shoulder. "Much better."

"You keep looking at me like that," he said with a slight chuckle, "we're not gonna make it downstairs for a while."

You grinned, your heart racing a little as you watched him grab his watch and slip it on.  You could feel the heat of his body against yours, the quiet sound of his breathing as he just sat there, watching you in the mirror with a calm smile on his face. His fingers traced gentle circles on your thigh, grounding you in the moment.

Your arms looped gently around Jungkook's neck as you leaned closer, resting your forehead lightly against his. "I still fit into all my pregnancy clothes," you murmured, lips barely moving.

Jungkook tilted his head back just slightly to look at you, his brows raising like he already knew where this was going. "Y/n..." he started, but you cut him off with a pout.

"I thought I'd at least shrink a little..." you said with a soft sigh, your fingers lazily playing with the hair at the nape of his neck.

Jungkook let out a small chuckle, his hand rubbing up and down your side gently, grounding you. "Babe... it's been six days," he said, brushing his nose against yours. "You just gave birth. You're not gonna see results like some TV transformation."

"But it's annoying," you whined, pulling back just slightly to look at him. "I feel... squishy."

He gave you a look—tender and amused at the same time—before he cupped your face with one hand. "You just brought a whole human into the world. You're allowed to be squishy. You're beautiful. Like, stupidly beautiful," he added, pressing a kiss to your cheek, then your temple. "Pregnancy body, post-pregnancy body... I don't care. I love all of it."

You blinked at him, warmth creeping up your cheeks.

"And also," he added with a grin, "I kind of like that you're still wearing those pregnancy leggings. They're soft. Easy access."

You smacked his chest, laughing through the blush on your face. "Jungkook!"

He just laughed, wrapping his arms tightly around you again. "What? I'm just appreciating all stages of you. All of them."

Jungkook's hand gently traced the soft fabric of your joggers, the tight fit hugging your thighs before flaring out over your legs. His eyes lingered on the way the outfit hugged you, especially how the long-sleeved crew neck shirt seemed to fit you perfectly. He always thought you looked good, no matter what you wore, but there was something about seeing you in something so simple yet so comfortable that made him smile.

"I like this," he said, his voice low with admiration, his fingers brushing the fabric of your joggers, almost as if he were memorizing how you felt beneath his touch.

You rolled your eyes playfully, a smile tugging at your lips. "You always say that," you teased, shaking your head at his flirting nature. "Are you ever serious?"

He grinned, raising an eyebrow as he held your gaze. "Serious? I'm always serious when it comes to you." His hand lingered on your thigh, and his smile softened. "You could wear overalls, and I'd still think you were the best person to walk the earth."

You couldn't help but laugh at his persistence, a light blush creeping up your cheeks. "Overalls, really? That's what you'd prefer?"

Jungkook's grin widened as he leaned in slightly, his hand still resting on your thigh, a gentle warmth in his touch. "I just think you look great in anything," he admitted, his voice sincere, "but yeah, I'd like you in overalls too."

You shook your head again, still smiling despite yourself. "You're impossible."

"Impossible to resist, right?" he teased, leaning forward as if to steal another kiss, his hand moving to gently caress your cheek.

Jungkook looked at you, his expression softening as you laughed, the tension in the air dissipating for a moment. He quickly shook his head, trying to push aside any lingering thoughts about the fight. But he couldn't shake off the conversation he'd just had.

He hesitated again, then exhaled sharply, finally breaking the silence. "I got a call from my manager earlier," he said, his voice trailing off as if unsure of how to start. "About a Christmas boxing event... It's a big opportunity, Y/n. He really wants me to take it." He paused, watching for your reaction. "I know everything with Jaehyun and you has been priority, but he made a good point. It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance."

You looked at him, then shrugged lightly, not seeing why he was hesitating so much. You smiled, feeling a sense of pride for his hard work and dedication. "Jungkook, you should do it," you said with a gentle confidence in your voice. "I know you've been focused on me and Jaehyun, but you've worked so hard for this. Don't turn it down just because you're worried about me. You've got this."

Jungkook's eyes widened slightly at your words, a soft sense of relief washing over him. "Really?" he asked, a slight disbelief in his tone, as if your approval was exactly what he needed to hear.

You nodded, smiling softly. "You deserve it, Jungkook. And I'll be here waiting for you when you come back. You've worked too hard for this, and I know you'll make the right decision."

He leaned forward slightly, eyes filled with appreciation. "Thanks, Y/n. That means everything to me." He smiled, the familiar warmth and admiration in his gaze making you feel like the center of his world. "I'll make sure to come back to you and Jaehyun, no matter what."

With that, you both fell into a quiet, understanding moment, knowing that whatever happens, you had each other's backs.

Jungkook's eyes softened as he stared at you, the hint of something deeper in his gaze. "You should come, Y/n," he said quietly, his voice filled with sincerity. "In honor of Jaehyun, you know? I want to do this for him, too. For our family. I want to show him that we can make this work, no matter what."

Your heart fluttered at his words. It was the first time he had brought up the idea of you being there with him, and it felt special, like he was bringing you fully into this next step of his life, alongside him.

Without thinking, you leaned forward and kissed him softly, a tender press of lips. When you pulled away, you could see the surprise in his eyes, but it was mixed with a warmth that made your chest tighten. He looked like he wanted to say something, but you stopped him, a playful smile tugging at your lips.

"That's the best idea you've had all day," you teased, your voice soft but filled with affection. "Of course, I'll be there. You've got to show the world what you're made of, right?"

Jungkook let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, a small chuckle escaping him. "I guess I'll have to show them that, then," he said with a smile, his hands gently cupping your face. "But the best part is that I'll have you and Jaehyun with me, supporting me."

Your heart swelled, and in that moment, you knew everything would fall into place.

You smile softly, looking at Jungkook and then at the stairs, "I think it's time to feed Jaehyun now. I don't want my parents thinking we've been down here too long," you say, your voice light but with a hint of playfulness.

Jungkook smiled at you, his hand gently resting on your back as he nodded. "You're right, we should head down," he said, looking at the clock, realizing how long you both had been upstairs. "We don't want to keep them waiting. Plus, Jaehyun must be hungry."

You smiled at the thought of feeding your baby, your heart warming as you imagined the little moments of bonding with him. "I'll feed him now, so they don't think anything's wrong," you said softly, glancing at Jaehyun who was still in his little crib nearby. "I don't want them to worry about us."

Jungkook leaned down to kiss your forehead gently, his voice warm. "I'll help you, don't worry. Let's make sure everything's ready for him."

You both walked down the stairs together, Jungkook holding Jaehyun carefully as you guided him into the living room. Your parents were chatting with Jungkook's family, the atmosphere relaxed and warm. As soon as they saw you, they smiled, but your mom quickly noticed Jaehyun's quiet cooing.

"Ready for his feeding?" your mother asked with a grin, walking over to you.

You nodded, sitting on the couch and adjusting yourself so you could comfortably feed Jaehyun. "Yeah, I think he's starting to get hungry."

Jungkook stood beside you, his gaze soft as he watched the two of you, his chest swelling with pride and love. He gently rubbed your back as you fed Jaehyun, his thoughts racing, realizing that this was everything he had ever wanted—this family, this love.

As you finished feeding Jaehyun, you felt a sense of contentment wash over you, surrounded by family, the warmth of the Christmas decorations around you, and the life you were building together.

The night had come to a gentle end, the warmth of family and soft twinkling Christmas lights lingering in the air. You stood at the door with Jungkook, both of you bundled up in cozy loungewear, waving goodbye to his parents as they stepped out into the chilly evening.

"Thank you again!" you called softly, careful not to wake Jaehyun who was tucked gently in your arms, already dozing off.

Jungkook shut the door quietly and turned to you with a sleepy smile. "Ready to show him his room?"

You nodded, the excitement and exhaustion both weighing on your features. "Let's go."

Together, you walked down the quiet hallway, the house finally still after such a full, emotional day. Jungkook opened the door to the nursery, and you both stepped into the room you had spent so long preparing—walls painted in soft neutral tones, warm nightlights glowing gently, and plush toys perfectly placed.

You approached the crib and carefully laid Jaehyun down, his tiny body wrapped in a soft blanket, his breathing slow and peaceful. Jungkook stood beside you, arms loosely around your waist as the two of you watched your son settle in.

"He looks so small in there," you whispered, your heart swelling.

"He looks perfect," Jungkook murmured back, pressing a kiss to your temple. "Welcome home, Jaehyun."

You leaned into him, both of you quiet, just watching your baby in awe as the soft lull of silence wrapped around your little family.

Jungkook stretched his arms out with a proud grin, still watching Jaehyun peacefully sleeping in the crib. "I don't know," he said with a slight chuckle, "this parenting thing? Kinda easy."

You raised an eyebrow, amused. "Easy?"

He nodded confidently. "Yeah. I think we got this."

You laughed under your breath, about to respond when suddenly—

Shuffle.

Then a loud, sharp cry filled the air, echoing through the nursery.

The two of you froze mid-step just as you were about to walk out. You slowly turned to look at Jungkook, and he was already giving you a sheepish side glance.

You deadpanned, "Easy, huh?"

He scratched the back of his neck. "Okay, maybe I jinxed it."

You shook your head, trying not to smile too hard, and walked back to the crib where Jaehyun was now flailing his little arms, crying as if the world had ended.

"It's okay, baby," you murmured, scooping him up into your arms, gently cradling him against your chest. You began rocking him softly, bouncing slightly as you rubbed his back. "Just a dream, huh?"

Jungkook came closer, peering over your shoulder with an apologetic pout aimed at his son. "Alright, I take it back. Not so easy."

Jaehyun's cries began to settle, his little fists slowly unclenching as your warmth calmed him down.

You looked up at Jungkook, eyes twinkling. "Welcome to the real parent life."

He chuckled, pressing a kiss to your shoulder. "Wouldn't trade it for anything."

Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck, watching Jaehyun finally settle again in your arms, his little sniffles fading into sleepy breaths.

"Maybe..." he said thoughtfully, "he just doesn't like being put down."

You nodded knowingly, adjusting your hold as Jaehyun snuggled closer into your chest. "Yeah. I think he just likes being close. All I do is hold him," you said with a soft laugh, "he probably thinks it's weird not being in someone's arms."

Jungkook leaned against the crib, folding his arms as he watched the two of you. "Or maybe..." he added with a teasing glint in his eyes, "he's just really clingy. Like his mom."

You shot him a playful glare, and he quickly raised his hands in defense, grinning. "Hey, I'm not complaining."

You rolled your eyes but smiled, glancing down at your baby again. "Maybe he was just overtired too. Sometimes when babies are too tired, they cry even more."

Jungkook stepped closer, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "He's lucky he has you," he said, voice warm. "You're really good with him."

You looked up, your eyes locking with his, your heart full. "We both are."

He smiled softly, leaning in to kiss your forehead. "Teamwork."

This time, after what felt like a successful mission, you made sure Jaehyun was truly asleep—his tiny breaths even and his fists finally unclenched. You and Jungkook stood there for a moment longer, just watching him in his crib, swaddled up and peaceful.

You quietly stepped out of the room, closing the door gently behind you. The two of you padded down the stairs, the soft hum of conversation and the comforting smell of food meeting you halfway.

Your parents were in the kitchen, warm smiles on their faces as they looked up. Your mom had set the table with dishes she knew you loved—soft rice, stews, grilled meat, and warm soup, the kind that felt like home.

"There you are," your mom said, beaming. "Is he asleep now?"

You nodded with a tired but proud smile. "Finally. Let's hope it lasts more than twenty minutes this time."

Jungkook chuckled, rubbing his stomach. "It smells amazing in here."

Your dad pulled out a chair for you while your mom already had a bowl ready in her hands. "Sit, eat. You need your strength, both of you. You're parents now."

You looked at Jungkook, smiling with a little shake of your head, and whispered, "I'm never taking this for granted."

Jungkook picked up the chopsticks with ease, grabbing a good mix of meat and vegetables and placing them into your bowl without even asking. He guided you to sit, gently pressing on your shoulders until you gave in and settled into the chair.

"You need to eat properly," he said, focused as he added even more food. "Mom said it's good for your recovery. Especially after giving birth."

You pouted, pushing a piece of broccoli around your rice. "That's all I've been eating for days, Jungkook. Meat, soup, veggies... I feel like a cow being prepped for competition."

He laughed under his breath, reaching over to tuck your hair behind your ear before kissing your temple. "You are in competition. With recovery. And you're winning."

You rolled your eyes, but the soft smile on your lips betrayed you. "I want something fried. Something that would make the nurse gasp if she saw me eat it."

"Not yet," he said, smirking. "But maybe tomorrow. I'll sneak it in for you."

Your mom chuckled from the stove. "Just finish your bowl, sweetheart. You can rebel with fries later."

Jungkook set down his chopsticks after a few bites, leaning back slightly in his seat as the conversation around the table mellowed into a calm hum. He glanced at you, catching your eye for a brief second before looking over at your parents.

"So... I actually got a call from my manager," he started, his tone casual but with an edge of anticipation. "There's a boxing event coming up—on Christmas, actually. It's a big one."

Your father raised an eyebrow, curious. "A Christmas event? That sounds... intense."

Jungkook nodded. "Yeah. International broadcast, top names, a lot of attention. They specifically asked for me. Said it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Your mother gave a small, surprised smile. "And you're thinking of doing it? Even with everything happening now?"

He looked at you again, his gaze softening before turning back to them. "Honestly, I wasn't going to. I wanted to stay focused on Y/n and Jaehyun. But..." he exhaled, running a hand through his hair, "we talked about it. Y/n thinks I should go for it. Do it for them."

You added with a little smile, "It's just one match. And he wants to do it in honor of Jaehyun."

Your mom placed her hand over her heart, clearly moved. "That's sweet. But only if you're sure you can balance everything."

Jungkook nodded firmly. "I can. And I want to make him proud—even if he's just a few days old."

Everyone at the table smiled at that, the atmosphere warm and supportive. The idea of Christmas looking a little different this year didn't seem so bad after all.

As you gently placed your chopsticks down and stood up from the table, you excused yourself politely, mentioning that you needed to go to the bathroom. Jungkook watched you leave with a soft expression, his knee bouncing under the table, nerves rising.

The moment the door clicked shut down the hallway, he inhaled deeply and turned toward your parents, straightening up in his seat. "I, uh... I actually wanted to talk to you both about something... important. Just between us for now."

Your parents turned to him with interest, your mother placing her cup down as she gave him her full attention. Your father sat back, folding his arms, his gaze steady but open.

Jungkook's fingers lightly tapped against the rim of his bowl, then stilled. "I know this might seem sudden, especially with the baby just being born and everything going on... but I've been thinking about it for a long time. Even before Jaehyun came."

He paused, meeting both their eyes, his voice softening.

"I love your daughter. So much. And after everything we've been through, this—us, our family—it's the most real thing I've ever had in my life. I want to do right by her. Not just as Jaehyun's father, but as her partner. Her husband."

Your mother's hand covered her mouth, her eyes already brimming, while your father's brows lifted, lips parting slightly in surprise.

Jungkook pressed on, a bit more confident now. "During the Christmas event... if I do it—I want to dedicate the win to her and Jaehyun. But more than that... I want to propose. Publicly. If she's okay with it, of course. But I need to ask first—"

He turned to your father specifically, bowing his head slightly, his voice full of sincerity.

"Would you... give me your blessing to marry Y/n?"

Your father stayed quiet for a moment, a thoughtful silence falling over the table. Then he slowly leaned forward, his face softening into a warm, proud smile.

"You didn't even need to ask, Jungkook," he said. "But I'm glad you did. You have our blessing."

Your mother was already wiping her tears, nodding eagerly. "Of course. Yes. We'd be honored."

Jungkook exhaled, relief and joy washing over him in one big wave. He smiled, truly smiled.

"Thank you," he whispered. "Thank you so much."

Your mother wiped her tears with the edge of her sleeve, still overcome with emotion as she looked at Jungkook. Her voice came out soft, a little shaky, "Have you planned anything yet? Like... a ring?"

Jungkook gave a sheepish smile, running a hand through his hair as he looked down, slightly embarrassed. "No... not yet," he admitted honestly. "I haven't thought about the ring or how exactly I'll do it. I just... I know I want to. I want her to be my wife. I want to do this right. But I didn't want to rush it just for the sake of a moment—I wanted it to mean something. And I guess I needed to talk to you both first."

Your mother sniffled, her smile warm and touched. "It already means everything. You're doing everything from the heart, and she'll feel that. We know our daughter, Jungkook... she doesn't need anything big or fancy. She just needs it to be genuine. And you—" she reached over, touching his hand gently, "—you're genuine."

Your father nodded in agreement. "You're family now. You don't need a perfect plan, just your truth. When the time is right, she'll know. We'll help however we can."

Jungkook's chest felt tight again, but in a good way this time. He nodded slowly, thankful, overwhelmed in the best way. "Thank you. That means everything."

Just then, the sound of your footsteps returning echoed lightly down the hallway, and Jungkook glanced toward it with a smile. "Don't tell her," he added in a whisper, eyes playful.

Your parents laughed softly, nodding in unison, sealing the quiet little secret between them.

You walk back into the room, your steps slowing as you pick up on the odd silence and the slight redness around your mother's eyes. You glance between everyone, a little confused, edging forward.

"Is... everything okay?" you ask softly, raising a brow.

Your mother quickly dabs at the corner of her eyes with a small laugh, trying to play it off. "Yes, yes—don't worry, sweetie. The winter's just coming in strong, that's all. Made my eyes water a bit."

You squint slightly, skeptical, but you don't push it. "Uh huh... the heating's literally on," you mutter, mostly to yourself, letting the topic drop.

You make your way over to your seat, still watching them all curiously, but Jungkook's soft gaze meets yours and the way he subtly brushes his thumb against your hand beneath the table distracts you enough to let it go—for now. Something was definitely going on, but you figured you'd find out eventually.

Your dad clears his throat and shifts in his seat, clearly trying to steer the conversation back to safer ground.

"So, Jungkook," he starts casually, leaning forward a bit, "when do you plan on starting training for this Christmas event of yours?"

Jungkook looks up, his thumb still gently stroking the back of your hand under the table. He smiles, grateful for the change in topic.

"Soon," he replies. "Maybe in the next few days. I didn't want to jump into it too fast with Y/n and Jaehyun just coming home, but I'll ease back in."

Your dad nods, seeming satisfied. "Good. Just don't overdo it. Family first, but if you're going to take it seriously, make sure you're ready."

Jungkook nods firmly, "I will. I want to make it count—for them."

You glance over at him, a little warmth growing in your chest, even as you can still feel the tension lingering in the air. Something had definitely happened while you were gone... but hearing how serious Jungkook was, how sure—made you feel a little calmer.

Days passed in a blur of soft coos, sleepy cuddles, and warm bottles. Having Jaehyun at home had shifted the rhythm of your lives completely—but one thing became very clear: Jungkook was absolutely smitten.

He constantly had Jaehyun in his arms, holding him close during naps, pressing gentle kisses to his tiny head, even swaying back and forth unconsciously whenever he stood still with the baby. He'd hum little lullabies while Jaehyun rested against his chest, eyes closed like the world stopped for just the two of them.

But when it came to changing diapers?

He'd vanish.

Every single time you reached for the wipes or started unbuttoning the onesie, Jungkook would suddenly get "busy."

"I-I think I left my phone in the kitchen—be right back!""Wait, was that the doorbell?""I should, uh, warm the bottle again just in case!"

You'd catch on quick, giving him a deadpan look as you cleaned up Jaehyun's tiny messes.

"You really think you can love this baby and skip the messy parts?" you teased one afternoon, eyeing him as he hovered nearby but not too close.

Jungkook laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I mean, I love him with my whole life... just not his poop. Not yet."

You rolled your eyes, "You're gonna have to face it eventually. Parenthood isn't just cuddles and naps."

He smirked, sitting beside you and kissing your cheek, "Can't we just split the roles? I cuddle. You conquer the diapers. Fair, right?"

You raised a brow. "Oh, we'll see how fair that is when I need a nap and it's your turn to do the diaper dance."

Jungkook winced dramatically. "Pray for me."

But even with his diaper-dodging ways, it was obvious—he was already the best dad in the world in Jaehyun's eyes.

Tonight was one of those nights—Jaehyun's cries had echoed through the house nonstop, and your body had reached its limit. You were slumped against the headboard, barely able to keep your eyes open. Jungkook watched you, heart twisting in guilt, and finally stood up with a determined nod.

"I got it," he said softly, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "I'll do it. You rest, please."

You tried to mumble something, maybe a warning or instruction, but your body melted back into the pillows.

Jungkook picked Jaehyun up with all the caution in the world, holding him like a delicate glass ornament as he headed to the bathroom. "Alright little guy... just you and me tonight."

The moment he stepped into the warm steam of the bathroom, nerves hit him. His eyes flicked toward the baby tub already set up on the counter. He checked the water with his hand for the fifth time in a row, then checked it again. "Not too hot. Not too cold... okay... okay."

Jaehyun blinked up at him, a little fussy but quieting down as if sensing his dad's panic. Jungkook gently undressed him, whispering to him like they were teammates in this—because it really felt like it.

"I swear, if I mess this up, your mom will never let me touch you again," he mumbled under his breath. "And what if the water splashes too hard and you choke? What if you slip? What if one of these toys breaks and—god, why are rubber duckies shaped like choking hazards?"

He took a breath, hands slightly trembling as he lowered Jaehyun into the water slowly, one hand constantly under his head. The baby let out a soft whimper, but it wasn't a cry. Jungkook held his breath.

"Okay... okay, you're good. We're good." He kept a gentle hand over Jaehyun's chest and began to lightly pour warm water with a cup, making sure nothing got too close to his face.

He spoke the whole time, reassuring the baby—and probably himself too.

"You got this, man. You're doing great. Your mom would be proud. Look at you, not even crying anymore..."

By the time he reached the tiny, soft towel and wrapped Jaehyun in it like a burrito, Jungkook's nerves had just started to settle. The baby let out a satisfied sigh against his chest as he rocked him gently in his arms.

"I'm gonna get better at this," he whispered, kissing the top of his damp hair. "I promise."

When he returned to the bedroom, Jaehyun was already starting to nod off in his arms. You opened one eye lazily, a tiny smile forming on your lips.

"He didn't drown, right?" you teased weakly.

Jungkook let out a breathy laugh. "Not on my watch." Then, looking at his now-sleepy son, he whispered more to himself than you, "We survived our first bath. That counts for something, right?"

And yeah—it counted for everything.

You pulled open the drawer and reached in for Jaehyun's nightwear, smiling to yourself as your fingers brushed against the soft bear onesie you'd been waiting to see him in. You pulled it out and turned, grabbing a fresh diaper from the stack and tossing it lightly to Jungkook.

"Here," you said, half teasing. "Your turn again."

Jungkook caught the diaper like it was a grenade, blinking at it before shifting his eyes to you. "You're really gonna let me do this again?"

You just raised an eyebrow and nodded toward the bed, where the soft blanket was already spread out. Jungkook sighed dramatically but lowered Jaehyun onto the blanket with extra care, as if he were laying down the most precious artifact in the world.

"Okay... little man, you and I—round two," he muttered.

You sat nearby, watching as he opened the diaper and stared at it like it was some complicated origami. Jaehyun blinked up at him innocently, tiny legs kicking in the air.

"Wait, which side is the front again?" Jungkook mumbled, flipping the diaper back and forth before awkwardly sliding it beneath Jaehyun's bottom. You bit back a giggle when he fumbled with the straps, sticking one end too high and the other too loose.

"No, no," you laughed softly, scooting closer. "Here—let me show you."

You guided his hands gently, your fingers brushing his as you adjusted the diaper together. "The side with the patterns is the front. Pull this snug here... now stick that down—and not on his bellybutton."

Jungkook's brows were furrowed, but he was listening intently, nodding like he was learning a complex skill. "This is like wrapping a burrito with legs."

You laughed again, smoothing the diaper with your hand before reaching for the bear onesie. "You're getting better, though."

"I better. He's gonna remember this one day and call me out for being useless."

Jungkook slipped Jaehyun's arms into the soft brown sleeves, the tiny ears on the hood making him grin like a kid himself. Once the onesie was buttoned up, he held Jaehyun up to admire him. "Okay, that's not fair. Why is he this cute?"

You leaned in, fixing one side of the hood and kissing Jaehyun's cheek before giving Jungkook a look. "Because he takes after me, obviously."

Jungkook chuckled, then kissed your temple, Jaehyun cradled between you both. "Obviously."

You smile softly, your heart swelling as you reach for your phone, lifting it just enough to capture the moment. Jungkook stood by the crib, gently rocking Jaehyun in his arms, the little bear-eared onesie making your baby look even more like a tiny bundle of love. The room was dim, warm light casting a golden glow across Jungkook's focused face and Jaehyun's peaceful expression.

Click.

The camera shutter was quiet, but it felt like it captured something huge—this memory, this moment of quiet love.

Jungkook looked over his shoulder when he heard the soft sound, a lopsided smile on his lips as he mouthed, "Really?"

You grinned, whispering, "It's perfect."

He turned back to Jaehyun, his large hand gently rubbing small, soothing circles on your son's back. He paced just slightly, humming under his breath—something low and rhythmic, a tune you didn't recognize but felt instinctive, comforting. Jaehyun's small face nuzzled against Jungkook's chest, his breathing slowing until finally, his body stilled completely in sleep.

Jungkook looked down at him, eyes soft and full of wonder. "He's out," he whispered with a faint chuckle. "Like magic."

You stepped closer, wrapping an arm around Jungkook's waist and resting your head on his shoulder, watching Jaehyun with him. "You're really good at this."

Jungkook leaned into your touch, voice low. "Only 'cause I've got the best teammates."

The three of you stood like that for a while—warm, safe, quiet. Just love.

Although Jungkook had become busy again—with training ramping up, press interviews, and media appearances leading up to his Christmas boxing event—he never once let it come between him and the time he made for you and Jaehyun. No matter how exhausting the day was, he'd still be the one reaching out to cradle Jaehyun, humming softly to lull him to sleep or just lying there with him resting on his chest.

But tonight was something else.

You woke up to strange, rhythmic noises coming from the living room. At first, you groaned quietly, rubbing your eyes, assuming it was just Jungkook watching something on the TV or maybe on a call. But when it didn't stop, your curiosity got the better of you. Slipping out of bed quietly so as not to disturb the silence, you padded down the hall, drawn by the soft thudding sound.

As you turned the corner and peeked into the dimly lit living room, your mouth parted slightly in disbelief.

There was Jungkook—shirtless, glistening with a faint layer of sweat, down on the floor doing push-ups. His muscles flexed with each precise movement, jaw clenched in quiet focus. But what had your eyes wide and your brain momentarily short-circuiting... was Jaehyun. Your barely-one-month-old son was lying peacefully on his father's back, swaddled in a soft blanket, his cheek pressed against Jungkook's shoulder blade, little fingers curled, eyes closed in blissful sleep.

You blinked hard.

"Jungkook?" you whispered, a mix of concern, amusement, and awe in your voice.

He looked up mid-push-up, pausing with a breathless grin. "Hey," he whispered back. "Sorry. Did I wake you?"

You stepped closer, whispering urgently, "What are you doing?"

"I couldn't sleep," he said, lowering himself gently to the ground again before propping himself on his elbows to avoid disturbing Jaehyun. "He wouldn't let me put him down... and I needed to get some sets in."

You stared at them both for a second, then let out a disbelieving laugh. "So you decided the best thing to do was to turn him into a weighted vest?"

Jungkook grinned sheepishly. "He's only like... six pounds. It's light resistance training."

You crouched beside them, your heart aching from how sweet and absurd the scene was. Jaehyun, still fast asleep, looked impossibly tiny on his dad's broad back.

"He's so calm," you murmured, brushing a finger across Jaehyun's soft cheek. "You're insane."

Jungkook smiled at the sight of you both. "Maybe. But he looks pretty comfortable, doesn't he?"

You leaned over and kissed Jungkook's temple. "You're the most extra dad in the world."

"And you love it," he smirked.

You did. God, you did.

During this time, amidst the chaos of training and adjusting to fatherhood, Jungkook had something even bigger on his mind—a surprise that made his heart race more than any fight ever could.

It started with a quiet call to his manager late one night, Jaehyun fast asleep in his arms. He paced softly through the hallway, his voice low but certain.

"Hyung... I want to do it," he said.

"Do what?" his manager asked, confused.

"The proposal," Jungkook replied, eyes flicking toward the nursery. "If I win this fight—I want to do it after. Right there. In front of everyone."

There was a pause on the line.

"Are you serious?" his manager asked.

"I've never been more serious," Jungkook said. "I want the world to know. I want her to know. She gave me a son, a home, a reason to push harder than I ever have."

His manager let out a stunned laugh. "Then we'll make it happen."

But Jungkook knew he couldn't do this alone. The next day, he reached out to two people he trusted beyond anything—your best friends, Yoongi and Somi.

He met them secretly at a quiet café, hood up, sunglasses on, just to keep everything under wraps.

"I need your help," he said, sliding a rough sketch of the ring and the moment he envisioned across the table.

Somi blinked, mouth falling open. "You're really doing it?"

Yoongi, more composed, gave a small nod. "Took you long enough."

"I want it to be special. I want her to be surprised, to feel loved, to know I thought it through," Jungkook said. "I need you both to help me pull this off."

And from that moment on, the plan was in motion. Somi would keep you distracted the night of the event, making sure you had the perfect outfit and that everything felt casual. Yoongi would handle the coordination behind the scenes—making sure the ring made it safely into Jungkook's corner, helping time the announcement, and cueing the music Jungkook picked specially for the moment.

It was bold. It was heartfelt. And Jungkook knew—win or lose—if he could end that night with you saying yes, it would be the biggest victory of his life.

It was surprisingly easy lying to you. Jungkook hated doing it—but telling you he had "training" and slipping out the door to find a ring was necessary. The guilt lingered a bit, especially when you'd smile and tell him to be safe, holding Jaehyun close with that trusting look in your eyes. But this? It was worth it.

He didn't want just any ring. Not something picked off a display shelf. No—he wanted the ring. One that reflected everything you two had been through. The way you loved him without needing to say much. The way you carried his child, stood by him, and gave him the kind of peace he never thought he'd find.

So instead of heading to a flashy store, Jungkook went straight to a private jeweler—a quiet place tucked away downtown, recommended by Yoongi.

The designer, an older man with kind eyes and delicate hands, listened patiently as Jungkook explained.

"I want something timeless. Not too flashy. She's not that kind of person," Jungkook said, glancing down at a quick sketch he'd drawn on the back of a napkin. "But still beautiful. Meaningful."

He pulled out his phone and showed the jeweler a picture of you holding Jaehyun, smiling down at your baby.

"This is who I'm doing it for."

The jeweler nodded slowly, jotting down notes. "What kind of stone?"

"Diamond," Jungkook said. "But I want something small... something elegant. Not because I can't get her more, but because that's who she is. She doesn't care about any of that."

They spent hours sketching and talking. Jungkook described the way your hands felt in his. The way your eyes crinkled when you laughed. He even asked if a small engraving could be hidden beneath the band—something simple, something just for you:

"You're my fight, my peace, my forever."

When he left the store, the ring wasn't finished yet, but the plan was in motion. His heart was racing—not from nerves, but from hope. Hope that by Christmas night, after the match, after the noise and lights faded... he'd drop to one knee, and hear the only answer that would ever matter: yes.

Walking into the empty boxing ring, Jungkook's heart pounded in his chest as he looked at the center ring. The arena felt oddly quiet without the usual crowd, the harsh lights overhead casting shadows on the floor, and the smell of sweat still lingering from previous training sessions. His hands tightened into fists, the nerves creeping in even though he was used to the pressure by now.

Somi, who had joined him for support, stood off to the side, her clipboard in hand, eyes scanning through her notes. She was giving him a rundown of what would happen in the coming days leading up to the fight. Her voice was calm and professional, a sharp contrast to the whirlwind of thoughts running through his mind.

"Alright, Jungkook," she said, looking up from her clipboard. "We're finalizing your pre-event speeches, the training schedule will be heavy from now on, and remember—no distractions." She paused, her gaze sharp. "This is your moment. The world is watching. You can't afford any slip-ups. Got it?"

Jungkook nodded, but his mind wasn't entirely on the fight. He couldn't help but think of you and Jaehyun back home. The thought of proposing, of making you his forever, kept gnawing at him in the background.

"I'm ready," he said, his voice steady, though the hint of a smile tugged at his lips. "I've got this."

Somi raised an eyebrow, knowing full well that there was more to him than just the fight on his mind. "You've been distracted lately," she remarked, not unkindly. "But if you're sure, we'll work with it."

Jungkook let out a quiet breath, rolling his shoulders back as he stepped closer to the center of the ring. He couldn't afford to let distractions take over—not now, not with everything on the line. His ring, his family, and the woman he was about to make his wife. He had to win, for them. For you.

With a determined look in his eyes, he turned to Somi and gave her a small nod. "I'll focus. The fight, the proposal—everything will go exactly as planned."

Somi paused, her expression thoughtful as she considered the challenge ahead. "Alright, here's the thing," she began, stepping closer to Jungkook. "The crew's set up for the pre-event tomorrow, and they're going to turn off the lights as part of the spectacle. They want the focus on you—your ring entrance, your spotlight moment." She sighed, looking at him with a mix of encouragement and understanding. "But... you're gonna need to convince her to even step in front of that crowd."

Jungkook's gaze softened at the mention of you. His mind immediately went to how much you hated being in the spotlight, how even the thought of a crowd made you uncomfortable. You weren't one for public attention, and with your relationship still private, it wasn't something you'd want anyone to know.

"I know," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. "I've been trying to figure out how to get her to agree. She hates being around crowds... especially with all the attention, and we haven't told anyone we're together yet. How do I even get her to step into that ring?"

Somi crossed her arms, giving him a knowing look. "You're gonna have to charm her out of that comfort zone, Jungkook. You've got to find a way to make her feel like it's her moment too—not just yours. The whole thing's gotta feel personal, not like a publicity stunt."

Jungkook let out a long breath, pacing slightly. "I don't want her to think it's about me. It's not just about the fight or the proposal, it's about showing her that I want her to be part of everything I'm doing. Even this... even with the crowd and all the lights."

He paused, and the weight of the situation seemed to hit him all at once. He loved you deeply, and the thought of putting you in the spotlight made him hesitate. "But how do I get her to step into the ring? I can't imagine her going for it. She'll be freaked out."

Somi tilted her head, watching him closely. "You're the one who knows her best. Maybe it's not just about asking her to come in. Maybe it's about creating a moment where she feels safe, where she feels like you're both sharing something together. Make it about your family. Make it about Jaehyun, and her... Make it about showing her why you want her there."

Jungkook's expression softened, his thoughts shifting back to you and Jaehyun. The crowd, the cameras—those didn't matter. What mattered was that you were by his side, with him, sharing in a moment of love and commitment. "Yeah... You're right," he finally said. "This isn't about the fight. It's about the family we're building."

Somi smiled faintly, clearly seeing the shift in his mindset. "You know how to handle this, Jungkook. Just make sure you tell her what's in your heart. But... when she says no, don't push too hard."

He chuckled softly, a small, reassuring smile playing on his lips. "I won't. But I have to try, for her, for us."

Somi gave him a nod, her voice softening. "Good luck with that. She's a tough one, but if anyone can get through to her, it's you."

The past few weeks had been a whirlwind for Jungkook, and the closer he got to the fight, the more intense the buildup became. Social media was flooded with excitement about his return, fans eagerly awaiting his big comeback. Everyone was buzzing about his boxing event, but what they didn't know was that Jungkook had something even bigger planned—the surprise of a lifetime, and he was determined to make it perfect.

After a grueling training session, Jungkook finally came home, his body sore but his mind focused. As he stepped through the front door, he was met with the comforting aroma of home—your parents in the kitchen, preparing dinner, and the soft sound of laughter coming from the living room.

Walking into the living room, he saw you sitting on the floor, a smile on your face as you played with Jaehyun. The baby boy, barely a few months old, was giggling in your arms, his little hands reaching for the toys you placed in front of him. Jungkook couldn't help but pause, his heart swelling at the sight of you two. It was moments like these that made him realize just how much his life had changed, and how incredibly grateful he was to have you both in it.

"Hey, you're home," you said, glancing up and smiling at him. The baby looked up as well, his little eyes bright as he saw his dad. Jungkook smiled back, feeling the weight of the day lift slightly.

"Yeah," he said softly, walking over to you and leaning down to kiss your forehead. "How's my two favorite people doing?"

"We're doing good," you said, standing up and walking over to him with Jaehyun still in your arms. "Just keeping him entertained. He's already got so much energy."

Jungkook chuckled and gave the baby a gentle kiss on his head. "Looks like he's gonna be just like me," he joked, ruffling Jaehyun's hair. His exhaustion momentarily forgotten, he gave you a soft smile.

"I'm glad you're back," you said, your voice filled with warmth. "How was training?"

Jungkook stretched, looking a bit worn but still determined. "Tough, as usual," he said, running a hand through his hair. "But I'll be fine. Just need to push through this last stretch before the fight."

"Well, you've got this," you said, your smile reassuring him. "We all believe in you."

Your parents, hearing the conversation, turned from the kitchen to greet Jungkook. "Welcome home, son," your dad said, offering a warm handshake. "How was training today?"

Jungkook returned the handshake with a nod, grateful for their support. "Tough, but I'm getting there. Just a few more days and it'll be over."

Your mom chimed in from the kitchen, "Dinner will be ready soon, Jungkook. You should sit down and relax."

He smiled at her, appreciating the gesture. "Thanks, I will. Just need to catch my breath."

As the family continued preparing dinner, Jungkook took a seat at the table, his mind wandering to everything that was coming up. The fight. The surprise. His plans for the proposal. He was juggling so many emotions, but seeing you and Jaehyun, and feeling the love and support of your family, made everything feel like it was falling into place.

"Your mom's been spoiling me with all this food," Jungkook joked as he looked over at you. "I might need to hit the gym harder after this."

You laughed, rolling your eyes playfully. "Maybe not after the fight."

Jungkook shot you a grin, feeling a familiar warmth in his chest at the thought of what was coming. "Yeah, I think I'll need to work off that excitement after everything's done."

As the dinner table filled with the comforting sounds of your parents talking and everyone enjoying each other's company, Jungkook found himself lost in the moment. The chaos of the past few weeks had been overwhelming, but moments like this, with the love and support of his family around him, made everything worth it.

And with the fight and the proposal just around the corner, he couldn't wait to make everything he'd been working towards a reality—starting with you and Jaehyun by his side.

As you slip into your pajamas, you can't help but feel a little proud of the progress you've made in the past few weeks. You've been working hard to get back to a place where you feel like yourself again, and it's paying off. With a smile, you turn to Jungkook, motioning to your figure and telling him, "Look, I've started seeing results."

Jungkook's eyes immediately light up as he takes in the sight of you. He's always thought you were beautiful, but there's something extra special about seeing how hard you've worked and how strong you've become. He walks over, wrapping his arms around you in a gentle hug, his voice warm with admiration.

"You're amazing," he says, pulling back slightly to look at you. "I've always thought you looked perfect, but I can tell how hard you've been working. You're incredible."

His words make you smile, and you feel a mix of pride and contentment. It's nice to know that, no matter what, he's always there to support you—whether you're in pajamas, working on yourself, or just being the best mom you can be.

Jungkook swiftly picks you up, surprising you with his strength as he effortlessly carries you toward the bed. You let out a soft laugh, feeling a mix of surprise and warmth from the action. He gently sits you down on his lap, his arms still wrapped around you to ensure you're comfortable.

You look up at him, slightly flustered but smiling, and tease, "You really don't waste any time, do you?"

Jungkook grins down at you, his eyes soft but full of affection. "I've been waiting for a moment with you," he says, his voice low and filled with warmth. "You're always so busy, but I can never get enough of you."

Jungkook's lips find yours in a soft, lingering kiss, his hand cupping the back of your neck as he pulls you closer. He deepens the kiss, savoring the way you taste, the way you fit perfectly against him. The warmth of the moment surrounds you both, and for a second, the world outside of your shared space feels distant and unimportant.

He pulls back just slightly, his breath warm against your skin as he gazes into your eyes. "I miss you when you're not around," he admits quietly, his thumb gently stroking your cheek. "It feels like time slows down when I can't be close to you."

There's a softness in his voice, and it's as if he's telling you more than just the words. The affection in his gaze speaks volumes, and you can't help but smile, resting your hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat beneath your fingertips.
