Once they were out of sight, Gu Wei immediately asked where the control room was, but no one seemed willing to tell him. Determined, he went straight to the doctor they had spoken to earlier.

"Doc, where is your control room?" Gu Wei asked, noticing the doctor’s confusion, though he eventually gave directions.

Gu Wei returned to the doctor's office. "Doc, what’s the real condition of the patient ?" he asked. The doctor looked at him sadly.

"I’d prefer to speak with his doctor before disclosing his condition," the doctor replied.

"Can I borrow your phone?" Gu Wei asked. Although he wondered why the information was not being told directly to him. "What is Yibo's illness" Gu Wei thought sadly. The doctor handed him his phone. and Gu Wei immediately called Haoxuan, gave them instructions, and then ended the call.

Shortly after, the doctor’s phone rang again. Before answering, the doctor glanced at Gu Wei.

"Hello, I received a call that Mr. Wang has been admitted," Mianmian said on the other end. The doctor nodded, as if Mianmian could see him.

"Please don’t disclose the patient's condition. I’ll explain everything myself," Mianmian requested. The doctor agreed and ended the call.

The doctor turned to Gu Wei. "His doctor said she’ll discuss it with you directly. I’m sorry, but there are confidential matters we can’t share without the patient’s consent," the doctor explained apologetically. Gu Wei simply smiled.

"It’s okay, Doc. I’ll go see him now," Gu Wei said before leaving.

With a heavy heart, Gu Wei walked toward the room where Yibo had been transferred. He took a deep breath before entering and found Yibo still asleep, the effects of the sedative keeping him in a deep slumber.

Gu Wei sat down next to Eros, only now noticing how thin Eros had become and how pale his face looked.

"What’s really wrong with you?" Gu Wei whispered, knowing Yibo wouldn’t answer. "You can’t even respond..." he added, standing to look out of the hospital window. "So much has happened tonight," he murmured, suddenly recalling what Yibo had said at the hotel.

"How do you interact with people you don’t recognize?" Gu Wei asked the sleeping Yibo. "How did you live your life, knowing your family was there, but you couldn’t even recognize their faces?" he asked again, wiping away a stray tear.

After a while, Eros woke up and, seeing Gu Wei standing near the window, immediately tried to sit up. But he winced as a heavy pain hit his head. Gu Wei turned to look at him, noticing his effort to sit up, and quickly approached.

"Are you okay? Don’t try to get up yet," Gu Wei said, concern evident in his voice. Eros noticed traces of blood on Gu Wei’s clothes and realized he hadn’t even changed.

"What time is it?" Eros asked quickly. "Did the doctor say anything?" he followed up.

"It’s 3 AM, and no, the doctor didn’t say much—just that they’ll speak to your doctor first," Gu Wei replied. Eros visibly breathed a sigh of relief, but worry quickly replaced it when he noticed that Gu Wei wasn’t even wearing slippers. Even though he was still weak, Eros tried to stand up, almost losing his balance, but Gu Wei caught him in time.

"What are you doing? You’re still weak—lie down," Gu Wei insisted. "I can’t even get you some water—I don’t have any money or my phone with me," he added, embarrassed.

"It’s okay. Sorry for the trouble," Eros apologized.

Elsewhere, when Haoxuan saw the CCTV link on Gu Wei's phone, they immediately removed the part where Gu Wei slapped her. Instead, they inserted the part where Liying bit Gu Wei and when the psychiatric nurses arrived.

**When Gu Wei entered the control room, he requested to view the footage from the camera where he and Liying had been earlier. At first, the guard refused, but eventually, he agreed. Gu Wei quickly sent the link to his phone, knowing that it was connected to Haoxuan and Jiyang, where they could see every message, call, and location on a large screen. After sending the link, he promptly deleted the footage.

Back at the hospital, when Yibo felt like he could walk again, he carefully stood up, despite Gu Wei trying to stop him.“I told you, you’re not well yet,” Gu Wei said. Eros smiled at him. “I’m fine now, I promise. Honestly, I’m getting tired of being in the hospital because I feel like the longer I stay here, the sicker I become,” Eros reasoned."Because when I’m here, I feel like I don’t have much time left," Eros thought to himself.

Eros became worried when he noticed the redness on Gu Wei’s foot, so without saying a word, he lifted him up and sat him on the bed, leaving Gu Wei surprised. Before Gu Wei could even speak, Yibo was already kneeling down to check his foot.

“If I’m not mistaken, we came here at 11, right?” Yibo asked. Gu Wei rolled his eyes. “It’s not a big deal,” he said, ignoring Yibo’s question. “Let’s just go home,” Eros said as he stood up. Gu Wei frowned. “Are you referring to the hotel?” he clarified.“Home. I have a house here. We can stay there for now,” Yibo replied.

Gu Wei sighed. “If you have a house here, then why did we stay at a hotel?” he asked irritably. “You said we should check into a hotel with only one room,” Yibo explained, laughing. “Wang Yibo!!” Gu Wei called out, making Eros go silent.

Moments later, Eros pressed a button, and the doctor who had attended to him earlier came in right away.

“We’re getting discharged” Eros said.“Mr…” the doctor started to speak, but Yibo cut him off. “Tell the director I was here” Yibo said and suddenly picked Gu Wei up.Gu Wei’s eyes widened. “Wang Yibo, what are you doing?” he asked, clearly shocked.“We’re going home” Eros replied. Gu Wei glanced at the confused doctor.

“Mr. Wang, I know you and your husband want to go home, but—”

“husband?” Eros interrupted.

“Yes, husband” the doctor said, turning to Gu Wei. “Didn’t you say you were Mr. Wang’s husband?” the doctor asked innocently. Gu Wei avoided his gaze, making Eros smile as he noticed the redness in Gu Wei’s ears.

“What are you waiting for? Let’s go home,” Gu Wei said, quickly changing the topic.

Eros smiled. “Just tell the director I was here, and he can handle our bill,” Yibo said with a grin, carrying Gu Wei out, leaving the doctor stunned.

“Husband” Yibo teased as they walked.“Seems like your head doesn’t hurt anymore since you’re joking around,” Gu Wei retorted, glaring at him. “Are you sure it’s okay to leave without paying the bills?” Gu Wei asked, puzzled. Instead of answering, Eros stopped when they reached the outside and turned Gu Wei’s attention to the hospital’s name.

“A-yuan's Private Hospital.”

Gu Wei’s eyes widened. He hadn’t noticed it when they arrived because he was so panicked. He turned to look at Yibo.“In case I’m no longer around when A-Yuan grows up, I want to leave him something” Eros said with a smile, though sadness was evident in his eyes. "Let's go home, we have a lot to talk about" Eros said while still carrying Gu Wei.
