Chapter twelve

Jinhwan makes a fake friend 

Namjoon POV 

It was my Job to make friends with jinhwan, I have to get him busy until we can get those two seporate and forget about each other. This seems harder than it looks because he seems a little suspicious. 

Free hour has begun in period 4, I walk down to the library as I always do and already find jinhwan in open textbooks and notebooks ready to study. I usually sit in the table next to him but i decided to sit in front of him. I set my books down for a moment and I already had ideas planned to have excused to talk to him, this is one of them. 

I patted my pockets and my backpack for a while looking up at him a couple time but he didn't get the hint. So I spoke, "uh excuse me? " jinhwan looked up at me and carried a carring smile

"Yes?" 

"Can I borrow a pencil? I forgot mine at my locker" I looked sat him carefully, yeah definitely not a vampire or any type  of non human creature. 

"Course" he diged in his book bag and found a pen for me instead

"That'll work as well" I grab the pen and sat down facing him. I could tell he was bothered by something. "Um I'm namjoon" 

"Kim namjoon?" He asked, i slowly nod  

"Your the sixth Kim I've met this year" he chuckled looking up at me. 

"Yeah I'm not one of the special ones" I slowly sat down and jinhwan began his studying again. I was hesitant about saying anything. 

"So your taehyung friend right?" Jinhwan asked 

"How'd you know?" My eyebrows narrowed 

"I see you two around at lunch once in a while, he's...special" jinhwan didn't look up from his paper  

"How?" 

"Ahh, I shouldn't get into it, I might get in trouble by taehyung, he's somehow always watching-" 

"He talks about you at times too," slowly he begins looking at me," nice things of course" 

Jinhwan  chuckles, " you can stop lying man," he laughs so do I. "This just seems a little odd" jinhwan speaks in a low secretive voice that is husky 

"What is?" I ask 

"Just the fact that I just saw you and taehyung talking before class and now all of a sudden your here in front of me making conversation about taehyung, I feel like your going to bring Sunny into the conversation too now" I sat still, I didn't say a word. He's on to something 

"You..ah you know sunny?" I had to change the topic 

He smirked knowing he was right, "of course, were good friends. Are you and taehyung good friends?" 

"O-of course," jinwann nods 

"Good" 

"I should get out of your hair-" 

"No stay!" Jinhwan smiles, "I like talking to you" I smile back, I don't know what to think but he knows something. "I didn't know uni works at the coffee shop, did you?" His smile is different 

"Uh no actually-how did you know we were at the coffee shop this morning?" 

"I came late to school so when I was walking I just happened to see you guys all there talking like your making a plan, so serious..talk.." his voice was sarcastic something got into him. 

I coughed, "jinhwan are you okay? You seem a little different today-"

"Because I'm not silently working? -maybe I don't want to stay silent anymore!" His hand slammed the table forcing the students to stare 

"Y-your causing a seen.." jinhwan smiled closing his books and put them in his bag. Slowly he zipped the bag and got up wrapping the strap around his shoulder and looked down at me once he stood up. 

"Then the  curtains must close, the show must end. " he makes a fake laugh and starts walking out of the library then stops and looks over his shoulder," keep the pen" and leaves. 

My eyes are left wide, he's a totally different person. My vision of him and the story I got told about him are totally different then what I just saw..I quickly got up and ran out the doors. Taehyung has history right  now I knew for sure and I ran like RAN up to his class. 

I got up there and see him taking notes while the teacher was talking. He sat at the totally back so I grbpabbed my phone and texted him  

Namjoon: taehyung! 

I saw taehyung reach for his pocket and looked down at his phone he looked around before typing 

Taehyung : yeah ?

Namjoon: look at the hallways 

Taehyung gaze turned to the hallway and widen his eyes when he saw me. My hands quickly turned to a "come here" motion and soon enough with the teachers permission he did.

"What is it?" He looked concerned. 

"Jinhwan he's up to something" Taehyung eyes narrowed 

"What do you mean" taehyung stepped a little closer to me he didn't want anyone to hear. "What happened? Did you guys talk?" I nodded quickly 

"Yeah, but he was acting totally different i dont know why. "

"What do you mean" asked taehyung 

"He shouted. He knows we were at the coffee place this morning, and he knows i know sunny. He knows things i dont. He got angry and left and kept smirking-i dont know man. He's just not what I thought he was. Didn't you think he was this innocent guy" taehyung nod, "who is quiet and friendly?-" 

"-hes only like that to the ones he likes. He's obviously like that to sunny to show her his goof side, but he knows i tried separating them once he knows where trying to do something-" taehyung got interrupted. 

"Namjoon! " someone yelled excitingly, we both looked over at the voice, and there's jinhwan running towards us, "dude, what's up?" I stood there confused. 

"What?" I said  

"Hey? You alright?" Jinhwan pushed my shoulder lightly and i looked at taehyung, he shook his head.  

"Jinhwan you just yelled at me now your happy?" I looked back down at jinhwan questioning everything. Jinhwan then stood confused, he now didn't understand 

"What? No. I just left cause i had to meet up with someone, what are you taking about?" Jinhwan finally notice taehyung was there. 

"Why were you spying us?" Taehyung said, "in the coffee shop" 

"I came late to school guys chill. No one was spy-" i interrupted jinhwan 

"You thought we were making a plan, and you thought it was weird that I'm talking to you right after you saw us talking, are you okay jinhwan?" 

"You guys are taking this all way to literally." Jinhwan said shaking his head. "Ahh, my head hurts" jinhwan palm laid on his forehead. "Do you guys wanna go out to the bar? " jinhwan asked 

"Bear isn't good for headaches" taehyung said

"Nor can we drink, just go home" i agreed. Jinhwan shook his head 

"Look, taehyung and i got off on the wrong foot.." jinhwan glanced at taehyung, "and you and i got a misunderstanding, so lets go out tonight, us bros, and start over Kay?" Jinhwan smiled brightly 

"We cant drink jinhwan" taehyung said annoyed  

"I know a secret you dont. Just agree. You wont get caught I promise-" 

"Fine." I stare at taehyung 

"What are you doing?! That's illegal," i said, Taehyung shook his head, and whispered 

"We can find out some stuff, hes a totally different person, hes hiding something. If he says we wont get caught lets trust him" i looked at Taehyung 

"That's true, okay " we looked at jinhwan, "ahh yeah lets meet after school," jinhwan nodded and smiled 

"Great! Bye, hyungs" jinhwan walks off 

"Hyung?" Taehyung mocked shockingly 

"How is this happening? I said. 

"You're totally right" taehyung began, "lets go with him." I nodded 

BRRRRRRRING 

"Hey, lets get uni, we can tell her and see if she has done anything yet." I said confidently 

"Yeah okay, "

Taehyung and I walk down to the cafeteria and gaze to see sunny uni and lei. Taehyung patted on my shoulder pointing at them, we nod at each other and began walking but i pulled taehyungs arm. "What?" He said as he stops

"We need to make an excuse for taking uni, we cant let them know and sunny will ask what's up, you know how curious she gets. And wont stops till she gets answers." I stated with widen eyes. 

"Yeah, well, we can just say we have a project. Its fine" we begin walking again and i sat Down next to uni and taehyung sat next to sunny. They looked at us

"What?" Lei said bitting her rice. 

"We need uni" taehyung said quietly. 

"What?" Uni smirked a bit, "what did you call me?" She giggled. Sunny looked at us. 

"We need uni" i said not understanding why Taehyung wont speak up

"No namjoon, i want taehyung to say it" uni stared at me

"We need you, uni so shut up" Taehyung said a little aggressively 

"Someone didn't have their blood today" sunny mumbled 

"Can we go?" Taehyung asked 

"Wait," lei looked at namjoon, "why you need her?" 

"School... ah p-project" Taehyung stuttered 

"You never do school projects " sunny said, " what's going on tae?" 

"Nothing is. Come on" taehyung grabbed uni's arm pulling her out of her chair, leaving sunny to scream Taehyungs name. 

Taehyungs POV 

We dragged uni out of the cafeteria, "what is it?" Uni asks

"Jinhwan is suspicious, he knows somethings up-" namjoon interupted 

"Or he's Just crazy" uni narrowed her eye brows in confusion 

"Crazy?"

"First, he notices something is up because he saw us at you work this morning, said we were forming a plan, then brings up sunny, yells and leaves the library, then comes back to us to invite us later for bear. And he was doing all these weird smirking stuff too!" Namjoon finished 

"Oh..wait..you cant drink" she replied 

"We know" i spoke

"So you said no?" 

"Not exactly" namjoon says," were not going to be the ones drinking, we just want him to tell us something we dont know. It can help us" 

"Plus, its a way of separating them" i said smiling 

"By that we didnt mean breaking the law!" Uni says 

"Were not drinking, so were not breaking the law," 

"I'm not bailing you out," 

"You wont need to!" Namjoon pouted "lets just give this a try." Uni nodded," have you spoke to sunny about it" 

"She says she has nothing planned except study group, she signed up a while ago" uni smiled proudly 

"When is it?" I asked 

"Its anytime after school you can come. But she said she hasn't went yet, she's said shes been dealing with "stuff" " uni quoted 

"Me.." i lowered my head

"Its fine, get her moving, and we'll text you later today. Tae you got her number?" Namjoon asks me 

"No. " i responded 

"Exchange then," 

"No i do-" uni snatches my phone from my pocket and puts her number and smiles giving it back to me. 

"Were partners now, again. Gotta get over the past tae. " she says

"Stop calling me that uni!" 

"You stopped calling me dog butt, so i can stop calling you taehyung." She sasses 

"It doesn't work like that.-" 

"Shhh, drama queens lets get to work guys!" Namjoon signs and grabbed my wrist leaving. 

"What did you  say happened to jinhwan at his old school?" Namjoon asks standing in the science mirror checking himself out. 

"He got punched so many times he had to get surgery" i was on the counter on my phone answering questions 

"Yeah i doubt it...something happened there, but not him getting bullied" i looked up to namjoon as he looks at me,"something else"
