Chapter eleven

A little bit of the truth

Jinhwan POV

My alarm rung but i was already awake. I was awake thinking. Only a week into school and my thoughts go wild about sunny, shes not..like others. She stares at me intensely, she gives hints that she could be a murderer, leaving early from the theater with taehyung all of a sudden, the red fluid in the cabinet that was warm, and the Nail scratches on the walls, that wont be answered. Then there's taehyung! That guy just wont leave her alone, likes he's protecting her from getting exposed. I'm not allowed to ask any questions or when i do they get interrupted so quickly by him. Its like there's a war between us two. I dont know if hes just crazy and is controlling sunny over the relationship or if she just hides secrets, but something is going on. And i feel too intimidated to find out.

Sunny POV

" Yah just quit it already, aish this is so annoying" taehyung and i were walking to school early morning, him yelling at me with a scowling face.

"How many times have you went to the woods to feed? Huh? Tell me" he looked at me his nose light strawberry signing he's going to get a cold.

"None, you know why? " i give him a glare, "because iv never fed off of anything but a fuzzy rabbit!" I harshly turned my head to the front in annoyance

"Good, alright. Gonna stay like that for a long-" he sniffed, " time" he was quiet and i thought my prayers were being answered. "Sunny,"

"Ah! What?" But i was mistaken.

"If you ever go to the woods without me knowing, you'd tell me right?" He tilted his head, as if he himself is going to answer the question.

I slowly shrugged," I don't want to get yelled by you-"

"Then don't do it in the first place" he said sarcastically voice but still serious. I glared at him," I don't want you to hide anything because your scared of the results. If you want to get through this part then do what I say, and when you mess up tell me" Taehyungs voice called to a mature level.

"Promise you won't yell at me then,"

"No. If I yell I yell, you fucked up. " I frowned

"Whatever. What am I going to do about jinwhan?" I asked looking down at the sidewalk. I heard him sigh quietly before answering.

"I don't know...he's going to ask why you left-"

"I'll just say I had an appointment "

"That's too week, you don't even know if he's on to you, so you have to be better at lying just in case. " he started to think," just say you weren't suppose to go but you did to be friendly, and your parents asked me to find you so you made a seen cause you were mad about it, it's decent enough" I nodded

"Okay," I respond and we open the door to our school.

We walked quietly, it's noticeable that our stress level on jinhwan has just gotten higher we can't even stick to our morning schedule of laughing and talking together until the bell. He stopped walking and I turned around to look back at him.

"You go ahead and meet up with him to talk, I bet he's in thought about it, go talk before theories get stuck in his head" Taehyung voice sounded a little weaker but I just nodded and started to walk again.

Taehyung POV

I sighed very deeply and walked the other way from the hallway sunny was taking. As I was walking a hand fell on my shoulder on purpose and the face smiled at me which finally made me smile

"Hey tae," namjoon gave me a warming smile. We haven't talked in so long because I'm trapped to figure out stuff with sunny. I honestly don't even remember when we last talked.

"Namjoon, lets skip first period. " I quickly say. He narrowed his brows

"Why?" He asked," whys up?"

"I need advice. I just need, to rant, to talk, to get help. And your the only actual mature friend I know" he nodded understandingly and took my wrist and walked me outside.

We ended up going to a nearby coffee shop, he orders our drinks then soon sits in front of me folding his fingers to one another.

"Tell me what going on?" Namjoon asked with care.

I sighed a couple times and looked away, I couldn't say it. I felt like I may cry, or get angry about it. I didn't know my emotions.

"Tae, it's okay you can tell me. I'll help you"

"It's about sunny" I quickly say. He nods understanding I'm slowly bringing out the truth in my speed. "Do you know jinhwan?" He nods slowly

"Iv heard of him, but he's only in my study hour why?"

"He's ruining my relationship. Not on purpose but just is,"

"Tell me"

"Sunny turned to a vampire over the summer because it's the only way for us to be together, but because she just turned I have to teach her to be a mature vampire you know, like how you are now," he nods listening carefully," but ever since she met jinhwan she has gotten crazy about him. She gets so hungry when he's around, and wants to attack him, she has been close to attacking me before! They have gone to the movies and he almost died if I didn't go to take her out-" Namjoon interrupted

"Why can't they stay away from eachother?" He asked curiously

"Because their friends! And I've went to jinhwan myself and told him to stay away from sunny but that just only got her mad! We've been getting into so many fights ever since he came to our life. He's our problem now. And he could be catching up with her mistakes and shit. "

"So you and sunny aren't on good terms because jinhwan-"

"Excuse me, here are your two American frappe, please enjoy" I looked up at the girl to grab my drink when I hesitated because I knew who she is. Uni, we locked eyes for a second before she stepped back.

"Taehyung? What are you doing here?" She asked awkwardly.

"I could ask you. " I responded. "You work here?" She nodded a little embarrassed.

"I'm here every other day before third period.." she looked at Namjoon," oh hey" he nods

"Hi" she sets our drinks down.

"Why are you guys not at school?" Uni asked putting her hands in her apron pockets.

"Taehyung is just ranting to me about sunny" Namjoon responded and she immediately looks at me and I nodded

"Yes about that" I say.

"Let me here I can help, and my break starts in a few minutes anyways. " I slowly nodded and got up from my seat. She goes into the booth I was sitting in and I sit on the outside. "What do I need to catch up on?"

"Where just trying to figure out why sunny can't stay away from jinhwan and how their ruining their relationship. " uni nods understandingly. "So let me get something straight" I look up at Namjoon "ever since day on-"

"First day of school" I say quietly on the edge, he nods.

"Every since the first day of school" he corrects himself," Sunny has been stuck to jinhwan, and now they are really close, but his sent is what's driving her crazy? That she can't ever not be around him and will get mad if you try?" He summarized

"Yeah,"

"Wait when did this start?" Uni asked looked at me.

"First day of school" I responded to her question

"Meaning before that, in the summer she was cool. Like she went out you helped her hunt for people-"

"Animals, she hasn't gotten matured yet to start having human" she nods

"So you guys would go out, you'd help her feed on animals, and you'd enjoy your life right?" She asked

"Basically, we were still trying to figure out her parents stuff since we aren't suppose to be together, but another guy has ever gotten involved." I sighed

"But ever since school she has been crazy about ONE guys that isn't you," I nodded. "So she likes someone else?"

"She has made it clear that he's doesn't like anyone. She said she's break up with me if she ever does but clearly she isn't breaking up with me. "

"Is she like this with any other guy?" Namjoon asked

"Not that I'm afraid of," I looked at uni if she knows but she shakes her head

"She only talked about either you and jinhwan. "

"There's something about jinhwan..." Namjoon whispers to himself. It's quiet for some time while we think of theories.

"Oh!" Uni snaps us out of our thought, Namjoon and I both look at her. We see her get her phone out and starts typing.

"What are you doing?" I asked. She holds up her pointer finger at me and continues typing. After a while she places her phone in the middle of the table and she's on a websites about vampires. I quickly grab it and hides the screen on my chest," there's people here!" She rolls her eyes.

"Don't worry, no one will see oppa" she says chuckling

"Don't call me that," I set it back down on the table and Namjoon and I read.

When a new vampire starts their journey they admit their a little crazy at first. All this fresh blood they haven't tasted just smelled gets them on their nerves so they go out and just feed to anyone they see, which is how they end up in the dark woods. But people who get trained by matured vampires usually becomes successful in being a vampire and are able to control themselves. What people always asks is "are new vampires able to find their sent when their not completely matured" the answer is yes. It's very unlikely but every once in a while, some vampires get too curious being around so many people they end up finding one before their matured. This can cause a whole lot of problems"

My heart beats too fast, I feel sweat in my palms, I blink too fast I can feel sunny in danger, oh shit.

"Uni this can't be it! Sunny hasn't found her sent yet, it says it's unlikely," Namjoon says

"But it still can happen, and if it's only happening to one person for sunny, then it's obvious. " after she spoke she looked at me. My eyes were glued to the table. too many things were in my head. I looked at uni

"Are you sure?" I asked

"Are you?" I sigh," you can accept things like this and we can help sunny. "

"How? She will never believe this, she will think I'm not letting this whole jinhwan thing go and will get mad!" I say frustrated.

"New vampires also can never maintain their emotions at first, their always angry it could be just that and not him being her sent" Namjoon argues. "We never really know"

"Taehyung," uni looks at me," how did you know sunny was your sent?"

"Because I always got crazy hungry around her, and I always thought of her sent and imagined feeding off her. I use to make excuses for her having to come over so I could even though it never worked out" I answered. "Sunny has never told me if she has ever felt that way around him,"

"Do you think that's why she went to the movies with jinhwan? To have a chance to feed of him? " Namjoon asks

"Maybe that's why she gets mad when you try to stop her because she just wants to feed off him" uni responds," have you ever had to stop her from feeding off of anyone else?" She asks and I silently shook my head and whispered.

"I don't want to accept this,"

"No one does," Namjoon speaks," but we have to help sunny. "

"How?" I stared at Namjoon, " sunny's job as a vampire is to kill her sent. If she kills one human she'll be addicted to kill more before she's matured. She may not even want to kill him because she wants him as a friend like how I did!" I raised my voice a bit

"We have to separate them" uni spoke," Namjoon can become friends with jinhwan and you can start hanging with him a lot, and I can get sunny busy with lei and I. Maybe more their separated the less they'll be interested to eachother" I shook my head

"That's not how it is for vampires. Maybe jinhwan but not sunny, she's going to get even more addicted to want him. She might one day go off on you guys and because she's so strong you may not handle it. " I argued.

"It's something to try for now, okay?"

"If jinhwan is really her sent while she's not matured, we have to risk some things. I'm matured and I didn't even find my sent yet so there's still a possible chance for good news, but we won't know for sure until we try some things," Namjoon held my wrist. "Let's just try this for a couple days okay?"

I was silent, made no movements. I couldn't accept this, I was scared. No wonder she has been acting like this. It's so obvious! Jinhwan could really be her sent and this stage.

"If this doesn't work we can try something else. But tae, accept this and try" uni looks at me pouting a bit. I ignore the fact that she called me 'tae' and I took a big breath before responding. I look at both of them in the eye and spoke.

"Okay"
