Chapter 5

AILINN

Brad has been trying to call me and text me since the day of the party. I haven't answered or bothered to text back I will eventually but right now I need time for myself. I have been texting Jefnier everyday since that night which was only like three days just in a friendly way. We've been catching up and stuff and I did miss out friendship.

"So you are meeting up with him today after class" Stephanie asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah as friends just to catch up and stuff" I told her as we did our lab. We were currently in chemistry and we were working on a lab.

"How is it going with brad"she asked almost carefully.

"I haven't talked to him. I think I just need time and I broke up with him kind of" I told her and she nodded. I mean that's understandable right and I did breakup with him but he was drunk but I don't think he was stupid drunk.

"Okay class that's it for today"the professors said and we quickly cleaned up and picked up our things. "Also Ailinn can you come see me in my office after you are done cleaning up" the professor said to me and I nodded. I swear the whole classed looked at me in complete shock.

"What the hell does he want with you" steph asked me in shock and I shrugged."I don't know but I'll see you later" I told her and she nodded. I walked out of class and almost instantly I was pulled to the side.

"Hey what the fuck" I said and i turned and I saw Brad.

"Baby please listen to me" he said with a sad tone in his voice.

"Don't call me baby and not here brad please I have a meeting with the professor right now" I said to him in a pleading tone and he frowned. "Can we talk later please" I told him and he nodded.

"Come to the house after your meeting I'll be there " he told me and I nodded. I walked away from him and went the professors office. Before I walked in I knocked.

"Come on in" I heard him say and I opened the door and walked in.

"You asked me to come" I said and he nodded. He motioned me to take a seat which I did. "Did I do anything wrong" I asked him a little scared. I don't think I am I have an A in that class.

"No you did not do anything wrong on the contrary you were my only student in all my classes to get a perfect score on the midterm and I wanted to congratulate you" he said and I smiled widely and I blushed a little.

"Thank you" I said to him with a big smile.

"You have the potential and the grades to be valedictorian for your class Ailinn"he said to me and I took it as a huge compliment. "Anyways that was all " he told me and I nodded and got up. We said our goodbyes and I left his office with a huge smile on my face. But it quickly turned into a frown because I remembered that I have to go meet up with Brad.

Ding

It was a text message from Jefnier and it brought a smile to my face.

Jefnier:I hope you are having a nice day. I wanted to ask if you wanted to come to my hotel to hang out today. I'm like really bored and have nothing to do.

I quickly answered

Me:yeah of course I can go a little later I have something to take care of rn

Jefnier:okay I'll see you then.

I walked to the fraternity and my hands started to feel a little sweaty because I was nervous. I walked inWithout even knocking because the guys gave me permission to do that.

"Hey ailinn" I heard Jason say and he was throwing the football around.

"Hi" I told him with a smile on my face. "Where's brad" I asked him and he had a sad smile on his face.

"In his room he hasn't really come out of there since the night of the party" he told me and I didn't know what to say so I nodded and thanked him. I walked up to his room and I walked in and there I saw him. He was just laying on his bed. He looked at me and instantly sat up.

"Hi" I said to him and he said hi back. I just awkwardly sat on the bed next to him keeping some distance.

"I first want to apologize on how I acted that night. I was drunk but that doesn't excuse my behavior at all" he told me and I nodded.

"Thank you for apologizing really but this doesn't mean we are getting back together" I said to him and he was about to say something but I told him to stop. "I realized in the past couple days that we were much better as friends and you know that." I told him and he frowned but nodded.

" I really like you Ailinn but I get what you mean" he said with a sad smile on his face and I hugged him.

"I really want to stay friends with you and I don't mean like what other broken up couples say when they say let's be friends and never talk again. I actually mean it" I told him and he nodded. "I'll still go to your games and support you and cheer you on and come to your parties of course" I told him and a small smile formed on his face and he pulled me in for a hug.

"Thank you for being literally the best girlfriend ever. You are literally be the best and I know who ever ends with you is going to be a lucky guy" he said to me and I teared up a little and I kissed his cheek.

"Thank you"I told him and we said our goodbyes because he had practice and I was meeting with Jefnier. "I'll see you in your next game but I will honestly probably see you before" I told him and he nodded. I left the frat house and I'm not going to lie i feel kinda heartbroken because I actually really liked him. I ordered an Uber to take me to jefniers hotel.

The car finally pulled up to the hotel that Jefnier was in and I quickly texted him because I knew they wouldn't let me in without hotel card.

Me:I'm here

Jefnier: I'll on my way

I waited for about 3 minutes and I saw Jefnier come out the hotel looking for me. He finally spotted me and walked over to me and pulled me in for a hug.

"Hi"I said to him and he pulled away from me. I'm not going to lie I'm still a little awkward.

"Hey" he said letting out a light laugh. "I have a surprise for you upstairs" he said with a huge smile on his face. I looked at him confused not knowing what to expect and he grabbed my hand which caught me off guard but he let it go.

"Sorry" he said blushing a little.

"It's fine let's go inside"I told him and we walked in to the hotel. We got in the elevator and he clicked a floor where I am guessing he is staying.

"So what did you do today"he asked me a little nervous.

"I just went to class and I went over to talk to brad" I really didn't want to tell him about brad since it would be weird but it just came out.

"Oh"he said and the elevator came to a stop and we got off and walked to where I am guessing is his room. 

"So how long are you staying here for" I asked him.

"Two more days and I have to go back to Puerto Rico" he told me and I nodded. He opened the hotel door and I walked in first.

"Hey fresita" I heard someone say and the only person that calls me that is myke whom I haven't seen in a while. I turned and there he was I ran to him and he picked me up and twirled me.

"I missed you" I told him tearing up.

"I missed you too fresita" he said and we pulled apart.

"The three of us are back together"myke said and i nodded. "It's sure been a while" he said to us sensing the awkwardness. We all sat down on the couch and and I sat next to Jefnier because Myke took the single seat.

"So hows school going. I know that you've been pretty busy the past couple months" myke said and I nodded.

"Yeah school has been hard but I'm pulling through lots and I mean lots of parties" I told him and he let out a light laugh. "I invited Jefnier to one that happened over the weekend but things definitely did not go as planned" I said and Let out a small left.

"Yeah defiantly did not go as planned I was there for like five minutes"Jefnier said and I'm glad he didn't say what happened.

"We should go out tonight" I suggested and myke agreed with me.

"We can go out for dinner or something" Jefnier said and I nodded.

"Yeah I'm down I know this really good restaurant by my school" I said and they nodded. "It's an Italian restaurant and it's kinda fancy so we have to dress up a little" I told them and they nodded. I was about to say something else but jefniers phone interrupted me.

"Sorry I have to take this call" he said and he got up and walked away. Right as he walked away myke sat next to me.

"Have you guys talked it out yet" he asked me. "Because I can tell there is awkwardness still between you guys" he said and I nodded.

"Yeah we kinda did talk it out but there is honestly always going to be some type of awkwardness between us"I told him and he nodded.

"I have a question for you and be honest" he said seriously. "Do you still have feelings for him" he asked me and I stayed quiet.

"I would be lying if I said I didn't I do still have feelings for him but I don't know if I can get back together with him after what happened like if I could trust him" I told him with a slight frown. He was about to say something else but Jefnier came back to the room

"It was my manager he just wanted to go over my flight info" Jefnier said and we nodded. I got up from the couch  and they looked at me confused.

"I'm going to head out so I can get ready for dinner" I told them and they nodded.

"We will see you at 8 my assistant made the reservation"Jefnier said and I nodded and left the hotel.
