35: MEMORY

When I woke up because of someone knocking on my door and when I open it seeing Chanyeol carrying a huge chipmunk stuff toy, I thought I am dreaming.

"Annyeong, Chipmunk." His dimples shown as he smiled at me.

I smiled sleepily.. and then I pouted as I pointed at his face. "Why do you always smile at me and sound so sweet in my dreams but act so cold in reality? Why can't you be as sweet as this when I'm awake?!" I whined.

I heard Chanyeol chuckle as he stared at my face. My eyelids are still heavy so I close my eyes as I felt his touch on my cheek.

"Wake up, Chipmunk." He caressed my cheek.

I pouted. "You'll be cold again if I wake up."

"I won't." He said. "You're not dreaming."

"If I'm not dreaming.. then is this a nightmare?"

He chuckle. "This is a dream come true."

Then my eyes snapped open when he knocked on my forehead lightly. "Awts!" I whined but then I realize that I'm awake!

I'm not dreaming? I blinked and Chanyeol did not disappear infront of me.. I'm not hallucinating either. His dimple shown as he smiled at me and gave me the huge chipmunk stuff toy.

"Can you give me another chance chipmunk?" He asked. "I'll do my best to make you remember me.. or atleast for you to remember that you loved me and make you love me again."

My jaw dropped at what he just said. I look down at the huge chipmunk stuff toy and touch it.. I hugged it tight because I'm afraid that he might change his mind! I bit my lower lip to stifle a smile and arched a brow.

"What would you do if I won't remember that I love you?" I asked, playing hard-to-get.

He still continue to smile. "I'll do my best.. Rosé."

"What are we going to do here?" I asked.

I look around the street of Seoul, it's already morning but there are no people around.. all the stores are close. I saw Chanyeol run to a corner and held a banner that has a "free hug" written in it.

"This is how you first saw me." He said and pointed at the banner. "You went to me.. because you noticed that no one wants a free hug from me so you volunteer."

I felt my cheeks blushing from that information. Chanyeol then puts the banner down and held my hand to guide me on another corner of the street.

My mouth agape seeing exo members on the stage. Baekhyun Oppa waved at me when he saw me while the others smiled warmly. Chanyeol let go of my hand as he walked towards the stage.. I watched them in awe.

"You are one of our first fan, Park Chaeyoung." Suho Oppa said.

"And I am your bias." Chanyeol winked.

My palms flew to my mouth as I heard one of my favorite songs of them. I knew there's something about this song that is special.. when I first heard it when I got curious on their group.

"I brush off my worn out diary and suddenly, in the opened pages you are there, you still remain there exactly the same. The picture I had forgotten comes back to my memory, and a small shiver surges from my body.It’s a bit sad that we can’t return to back then"

Kyungsoo Oppa and Baekhyun Oppa started the intro of the song.

That was.. Chanyeol who sang those lines even though it's not his lines yet. He is looking straight into my eyes with full sincerity as he sang every words.

Baekhyun Oppa chuckled before singing. "My heart rode the clouds and flewYou were prettier than Wendy or CinderellaThe one person who made my heart poundAs soon as I felt you, my eyes shone"

I gasped when someone blindfolded me before the song ended.  I heard Jennie Unnie's familiar giggle. "It's me Rosé. Don't be scared."

"Unnie!" I whined.

She then guided me somewhere I don't know because I am blindfolded! I pouted because I am enjoying the serene moment earlier.. I feel myself entering a van and Jennie Unnie sat beside me.

"Unnie, do you think this would work? Will Rosé remember Chanyeol Oppa?" That's Lisa's voice.

"I don't know." That's Jisoo Unnie!

"Guys, Rosé is blindfolded. Meaning she couldn't see but she could still hear you loud and clear!" Jennie Unnie said.

"Uh.. what's happening here?" I asked, confused.

I tried to pull my blindfold but I felt Jennie Unnie's hand stoping my hand firmly.

"Secret." Lisa teased.

I stayed silent because I don't know what's happening. I am not scared though.. more like excited.

"Chanyeol rented this whole amusement park." Lisa gasped as I gasped when they remove my blindfold.

"Not bad.." I heard Jisoo Unnie muttered.

"Quit being bitter Jisoo Unnie. Remember you already gave him your permission." Jennie Unnie chuckled.

Huh? What are they talking about?

"He's lucky he got connection." Jisoo Unnie snorted.

"Yup, Suho Oppa is indeed a great connection." Jennie Unnie teased.

I looked around the huge amusement park. It's already afternoon when we got here because the location is quite far away from the street that we've been to. Or did they go to a long road on purpose?

Jennie Unnie tapped my shoulder. "Goodluck on finding your Prince Charming there, Rosie Posie."

"Fighting!" Lisa cheered.

My eyes then went to Jisoo Unnie and she gave me a warm smile before walking to me for a hug. I closed my eyes as I hugged her back.

"I'm sorry.. if I'm not a perfect good sister Rosé. All I want is your happiness and safety." She whispered.

"You are always a good sister, Unnie." I whispered back.

"Go get your Yoda!" They yell as I walk towards the entrance of the amusement park.

Now where could I find Chanyeol in this huge place? Where could he be?

As I was in the middle of the hallway of the amusement park.. I saw a white wall with a huge projection, in it was a picture of me.

"I wish you are thinking of me, my Chipmunk."

That was Chanyeol's voice! I look around but he is nowhere near! Where is he?

The projection moved to a different picture of me. I heard Chanyeol's deep raspy voice again.

"You never fail to look beautiful in my eyes, Rosé. You gave light in my life that is full of darkness. You are my savior.."

The projection moved again to another picture.. this time, I'm with him. I can't help but smile because I think we look good together.

"I love you, Park Chaeyoung."

"I love you since then.. and I love you until now. I will never get tired of loving you with all my heart."

Tears pooled on the corner of my eyes as I stared at our pictures together.

I look so happy being with him. I look like I am at ease. I can clearly see.. that eversince then, he has always been my home.

"Can I be your lover again? Can I be your favorite person again? Please.. can you give your Yoda a chance, Chipmunk?"

"Where are you?" I asked softly as tears slid down my right cheek.

The sky is getting darker when I notice the Perris Wheel started to move. I wiped down my tears as I ran towards the Perris Wheel's location.. my heart beating loudly inside my chest as I anticipated Chanyeol to be there.

I still don't remember.. but my heart felt him. I don't care about the memories anymore! All I want is him..

I slowed down when I finally saw Chanyeol holding a bouquet of red roses infront of the entrance of the Perris Wheel. He was grinning widely at me that I can't help but smile. I am finally face to face with him again.

"This is where we started a relationship. This is where you accepted my love.."

He started to took a step closer to me and I was about to walk towards his direction as well.. when I felt a raindrop on my cheek.

My stomach went cold as I felt my breathing hitched. My head aches.. I massaged my temple and I felt Chanyeol's hold on my shoulder. My vission begins to be blurry but I can still see the worry in his eyes.

My head aches more as images of what I forgot seems to attack my brain. Our first meet..

Our collaboration..

Us being friends.. special friends..

Him kissing me..

Us being complicated.. until I accidentally confessed and he kissed me again.

Us being together..

Then his Sasaeng..

I felt weak as my knees tremble in fear by the mere thought of her. I shook my head as I re-lived that moment when I thought was the last moment of my life.

I cupped Chanyeol's cheeks and I close my eyes as our lips collide.

I am safe now.. Chanyeol is here with me now. I felt Chanyeol's lips move and I followed his rhythm as our kiss deepens under the pouring rain.

Until.. I felt myself losing consciousness.

"Rosé!" Chanyeol's voice is laced with fear calling my name was the last thing I heard.

I felt the cold rain as I felt my draining energy.. I want to stay in Chanyeol's arms. I want to always feel his warmth..

I want it etched on my memory.
