Chapter 2
23:22, 19 October 2017After your dinner with Jungkook, the two boys from the maknae line started pestering you for their own dinner date with you. Jimin most of all, calls you every hour just to ask when you could accompany him to dinner. You gave up and told him that you are free to meet him up the following day.
You met Jimin together with Taehyung and Hobi in your favorite samgyeopsal restaurant in Mapo-gu. You managed to get a good table before the rush of people came filling the place. The boys enveloped you in a hug before taking a seat and started placing their orders. Soon, your table is brimming with an assortment of meat, side dishes, and bottles of Soju. Jimin took charge of grilling the meat.
For two hours, you managed to catch up with the boys on the latest events in their lives, but they are particularly careful on not talking about Jin nor Soyeon. After talking about their music, their jobs and their other out of country adventures, Jimin opened up a topic you dreaded to talk about with the boys.
"I'm just curious, noona. You're smart, you're charming, you're independent and yet you are not dating. Why is that?" Jimin asked curiously as he flips some of the samgyeopsal on the griller.
"Well, I... I guess I haven't found the right guy yet." You simply answered and took a shot of Soju that Taehyung poured into your glass. Taehyung diligently poured another one. "And you know what, mysteriously, after one date, every guy I go out with would just stop calling. It's as if I have an omen or something." You just spatted. Hobi on the other hand smirked as he chewed on the ssam that he placed in his mouth.
"I really don't know. I guess there is something wrong with me." You said casually as you snatched a meat from the batch Jimin is cooking and popped it into your mouth.
"But you got so many admirers. Where have they all gone?" Taehyung said and Jimin just nodded in agreement while cutting the meat.
Hobi looked at him as if he asked a very stupid question. " Remember that guy who works in the IT firm? Yoongi hyung gave him a visit and 'talked' to him." He said in a matter of factually tone. Taehyung just looked at him. "And remember that guy that owns that great restaurant in Apgujeong?" Taehyung just nodded as he remembered the guy Hobi was talking about. "Namjoon hyung and I paid him a visit as well." He smirked.
"You what now?" An alarm expression painted your face. Hobi just smiled at you and just kept mum. He stuffed another ssam in his mouth to prevent himself from talking.
"Oh my gosh! You scared Jung Woo away?! He is a good one." You asked in disbelief when you realized what the older boys did. You took another shot of Soju and faced Hobi.
"It's not like you wanted to date him forever. You both have nothing in common and besides, he will just break your heart. I heard he was quite a ladies' man." Hobi quipped. You just shook your head and took another shot of Soju to drown the emptiness you are feeling. You were happy that your friends are looking after you, but it just made you realize more that there might not be someone for you and you will end up all alone. Well, you have been feeling alone ever since Jin made up with Soyeon.
"I guess you are right. I'm just not ready yet to date anyone until I figure things out." You said vaguely but Taehyung who was listening intently all the time caught on to something you are saying and was just watching you closely as he poured another shot on your glass.
"Hey Noona, slow down! You have been downing Soju there like there is no tomorrow." Hobi warned as you gulped down your nth shot that night. You just ignored their outcry when they noticed that you are starting to have a buzz. "And stop pouring Soju on her glass. She will K.O. on us soon if you don't stop." He hissed at Taehyung.
"But she's older than us. So if she asks, I have no choice." Taehyung whispered back to Hoseok earning a low grunt from the elder.
"I'm sorry. I'm no fun. It's just that... I dunno, I just want to get some things out of my head about this relationship thing. You know, some stuff that I just want to forget." You said sadly as you held your shot glass tightly.
"Like what, noona?" Taehyung asked. You just looked at them and sighed.
"Like how to snag a great guy just to forget Jin for a change." You said as you reached for a lettuce and meat on the grill. Three pair of eyes are now staring at you.Taehyung almost choked on his drink, Jimin dropped the thongs on the table and Hobi stopped chewing his food and almost spit out the ssam in his mouth.
"You LIKE Jin hyung?!" Hobi asked. You stopped wrapping the ssam and looked at Hobi.
"Well, LIKE is not the right word that we're looking for." You said as you stuffed the ssam in your mouth and chewed slowly.
"Well, what is he doing with Cruella if you have feelings for him? It should be you then, not her." Taehyung excitedly exclaimed, but it did not register into your system.
"I have a date with three beautiful great guys but all I can think about is Jin and Soyeon and how they can just live happily ever after." You sighed. it's the buzz that's already taking over you.
"Look, we can set out a plan and get you and Jin hyung together." Taehyung said as he laid another set of samgyeopsal on the grill and looked at you with a spark of hope in his eyes.
"No! No! It's too late for that. He's happy now with Soyeon and I don't want to screw things over. I just want this night for me to find a way to get over him. Why can't I just do that?" You cried as you slumped on your seat letting the buzz get the best of you.
"You're going to be fine, noona. Maybe you just need to tell him how you feel and then you might have a closure. Maybe after that, you can already move on." Jimin said absentmindedly as he slowly chewed the ssam that he just jammed into his mouth.
"Closure! That's it! That's what I need! You're brilliant, Jimin. I could kiss you right now." You said excitedly. Jimin beamed with pride but earned death glares from both Taehyung and Hoseok.
"I don't think Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung would be happy with what the outcome would be." Taehyung nervously whispered as he looked at Hoseok. "You'll get a lot of beating from Jungkook as well the moment he finds out about your advice." He then whispered to Jimin.
"What did I do? I just gave her an advice." Jimin shrugged as he took his shot glass from the table and downed his shot and started wrapping another ssam for himself.
"Let's just pray she would forget this conversation in the morning. I'm going to the men's room, Taehyung get some more soju and kogi. And Jimin, closure? For real? Yoongi hyung, Namjoon and I prefer her ending up with Jin hyung rather than any other pervert lurking around Seoul." Hoseok said as he stood up, Taehyung following close behind leaving Jimin tending on the meat sizzling on the grill and you.
"Closure. Why didn't I think of that..?" You mumbled to yourself as you reached for your purse but you can't find your phone so you just grabbed the nearest phone sitting on the table in front of you and dialed Jin's number.
"Hey," was all Jimin was able to say. You raised your finger at him and pouted your lips.
"Jimin-ah?" Jin's sleepy voice greeted you from the other line.
"Seokjin-ah! Annyeonghaseyo!" You greeted cheerily on the other line.
"(Y/N)?!" A surprised Jin exclaimed when he heard your voice. It has been a while since the two of you talked. The last time was when you walked away from the door when he agreed with Soyeon on not seeing you. He then looked at the time on his phone and placed the phone back to his ears. "It's 1:30 am! Where are you?" He sat up slowly on his bed.
"Well, I'm just calling to say that everything is doing well with me if you seem to have forgotten me. And you're asking where I am right now? Well... I'm out on a date with three gorgeous boys tonight." A small laugh escaped your throat. But that didn't impress Jin at all, it just alarmed him. You're out drunk in the middle of the night somewhere in Seoul.
"You're drunk and where the heck are you?" Jin asked loud enough to wake Yoongi who is sleeping on the bed next to his. He stood up from his bed and walked towards his closet to grab a shirt. You just ignored the question and continued on.
"Anyways, I'm just really happy for you and Soyeon. Although, I wish it was me in her place. I really, really do. But you already found happiness with her so I'm fine with it. I agreed with her condition on not letting you see me because I thought that it would make you happy. I saw you were, but I'm not. It made me so miserable, Seokjin. And so are the boys!" You slurred and Jimin leaned towards you to grab the phone from your grasp.
"Ok, noona. You're drunk and that's e-" But his words got cut when you placed your hand on his face as you tried to shove him back to his seat.
"Shhhhh, quiet Jimin-ah. "You shushed the boy in front of you as you continued to ramble to the person on the other line. "Where was I? Oh, yes, Jin-ah. So I decided to forget you and these three wonderful boys beside me are helping me do that by buying me drinks and they will be helping me find a date for tonight as well. And since I'm out on a date right now, I just want to let you know that I am starting a new and I'm going to get over you. Well, I will get over you and I am ready to move on. And this is going to be our closure." You laughed. Jimin pounded his head on the table as he foresee trouble the three of them will be in the moment the call ends.
"W-what? What are you talking about? Can you please put Jimin in the phone. I want to talk to him." He said furiously on the other line, but you once again ignored him.
"Sorry my friend, but Jimin is busy somewhere. But I can give a message later. Anyways, I have to go, my date is waiting." And with that, you hang up the phone and handed it back to Jimin who is now staring blankly at you and still trying to process what just happened. Not a minute passed by when his phone started ringing. It was Jin. Jimin looked at you and back at his phone. He knows he's in big trouble the moment he answers the phone. Jimin contemplated whether or not he will answer the phone, but he is now afraid to answer so he just kept his phone on silent mode the entire night.
