It was pretty safe to say Adora was a complete mess the next day. Glimmer kept giving Adora worried looks. Adora had always be awful at hiding things. But one thing she hid was the fact that she missed Catra a lot more that she would ever admit. But things were different now. They couldn't just go back to the way things were and expect everything to turn out fine. They were in a WaR! And Catra was on the wrong team. This whole situation was making her head pound.

Adora pushed around her breakfast. Glimmer playfully hit Adoras shoulder and Adora didn't even react. Now and Glimmer shared a worried look. As they had a silent conversation adora stared out of the window. Adora was about to burst with built up emotions. Adora decided she needed to get out of this castle.

She excused herself and walked quickly to her room to get ready. Adora found herself dressed in her old horde uniform. She stared at the insignia on the back. The horde. UgG, she couldn't even get dressed without thinking about the horde. Adora pulled her jacket on in a huff. She needed a break

But Just as she opened her door Glimmer poofed into existence right in front of her.

"What ya doin." Glimmer asked.

"Uh." Adora racked her brain. Should she lie? She was usually pretty good at lying. Wait no,that's a lie.

"I'm going to go out and..uh train." Adora plastered a smile on her face. She crossed her fingers hoping Glimmer wouldn't ask anymore questions.

Glimmer shrugged and moved aside. "Go for it Adora. Just don't go attacking the horde without us, Kay?" Glimmer smiled.

Adora laughed nervously. "Ha, Uh yeah. Definitely won't do that." Adora shot finger guns at Glimmer and slowly walked backwards down the hall. "I'll..Uh see ya later Glim."

Adora turned around and sprinted out of the castle. A few tears leaking from her eyes.

Glimmer stared after her.

"Bow we are so going to follow her."

She only stoped running till she found herself  at she-ra's old crumbling ruins.(Okay hi, it's me. This next part is gonna be like that one episode where the we're in the castle together but my version. Mkay thanks)Not even thinking twice Adora opened the door and walked in. Little did she know a certain someone was watching in the trees.

Catra's POV;Catra was running from Shadow Weaver for the day. She had been in an extra pissy mood today since she found out Catra had snuck out. Luckily just when Shadow Weaver was about to interrogate her about where she went. Lord Hordak asked for her presence. As soon as that meeting was over Catra has hightailed it out of there before Shadow Weaver found her. Catra made herself comfortable in some tree branches and settled in for a nap.

Not even 5 minutes had passed before Catra jolted awake. A soft crunching noise echoed through the woods, followed by a not so soft, shit. Catra's ears perked up. She could recognize that voice anywhere. She crawled up to a higher vantage point. Adora was panting and it looked like she had been crying. Catra watched Adora walk into the first ones ruins and followed behind her.

Glimmer POV:"Bow. Bow. Bow. Bow.  BOw!""WhAT""I need your help"

Adora POV: Adora walked quietly through the old halls. She wiped the tears from her eyes. She didn't even know why she was crying. She looked at the picture of she-ra on the wall and fell to her knees. Adora was a failure. She couldn't defeat the horde. She couldn't save glimmer from getting captured. She couldn't save Catra from Shadow Weaver. Adora brushed her fingers over the old inscriptions.

"Hey Adora."

Adora jumped. She twirled around fists up.

"Whoa there princess. Is that anyway to greet an old friend?" Catra smirked.

Adora relaxed her arms.

"Sorry, I'm just kinda stressed." Adora muttered.

"Bout what." Catra asked lazily.

"Oh you know, you" Adora asserted. Adora turned back around and started to walk down the hall.

"Wait really?"All of Catra's confidence and cockiness faded.

Adora kept walking.

"Hey. Wait up!" Catra fumed.

Adora's lips quirked up into a smile as she heard Catra's feet pound on the metal floor to catch up.

"That's what I told you last night isn't it." Adora rolled her eyes.

Adora felt like a weight had been lifted from her chest the moment she saw Catra. She felt more rejuvenated than she had in days. She watched Catra soak in her words.

"I thought you were just delirious, you know from lack of sleep" Catra joked.

"Sure, sure." Adora responded sarcastically.

Adora came-to a stop. She had found the perfect room. There was a bench with cushions and a long table like in the bright moon castle. Adora was mostly excited about the bench though. Her feet hurt from running all the way here.

"Let's sit down" Adora suggested. Catra shrugged and made herself comfortable. Just as Adora touched the cushion the bench disappeared.

"What the-" Adora started.

The room dissolved into the bunks at the horde. Adora went to touch the bunks and her hand passed right through it.

Catra looked at Adora with wide eyes. Adora could only shake her head. She had no idea what was happening.

"Adora I swear to god-" Catra hissed.

Just then two girls ran into the room. It was Adora and Catra. But at the same time not. They were about 14 and laughing hysterically.

The real duo stood silent. This was obviously a memory. It was one they both knew well.

"Oh my god, I can't breathe. I- can't-" Small Adora was laughing so hard she was crying.

"Adora!" Catra laughed. "I'll get you some water." Catra giggled.

The present day Adora's smile slipped. Catra never giggled anymore.

"Nonono I'm fine." Adora smiled.

"Nonono I insist" catra entreated.

They both started laughing all over again. When they both caught their breath they were suddenly aware of how close they had gotten. Adora could just lean over and- Adora blinked. That was definitely not allowed. But she really wanted too. She stared at Catra's face taking in all the details. Catra stared back. Catra began to slowly lean forward. Adora cupped Catra's face in her hands and pressed her lips to hers. The kiss lasted but a second. But both girls were immediately enthralled. Catra blushed and looked at her feet.

"This is definitely not allowed." Adora breathed.

"No shit." Catra whispered.

Adora smiled. "Let's do it again."

The memory faded and the two friends found themselves standing right where there last selves had been. Which was not very far apart. They both blushed and stepped back.

"So that happened." Adora stated.

"Yeah." Catra replied quietly.

They stared at the floor awkwardly.

"Catra-""I um-"

Both Catra and Adora stuttered simultaneously.

"Oh uh you first." Adora faltered.

"No you. I insist." Catra protested.

"Fine. Catra?"

"Yeah"

"No matter what you do. No matter how much you wound me in battle I can never hate you." Adora exacted.

Catra looked at Adora expectantly.

"Really? Your going to make me say it first?" Adora grumbled.

Catra smirked.

"Catra I can never hate you because no matter how hard I try I still love you." Adora muttered.

"What's that?" Catra quipped. "I couldn't quite hear you."

"Don't be an ass Catra." Adora smiled. Catra smiled back. "I would make a vey rude and demeaning comment, but because this is a tender and emotional moment, I won't."

"Catra!" Adora exclaimed.

"Yeah okay. I love you too. Even if you defected and left me trapped in a hell hole by myself. " Catra leered.

"You could-" Adora began

"What every your going to say. Don't." Catra put her finger on Adora's mouth. "I just, I can't leave."

Adora sagged. "But I miss you so much and Shadow Weaver is mean to you and the horde is my enemy..."

"We'll figure it out." Catra soothed.

"Meet me tomorrow?" Adora asked.

"Wouldn't miss it. Now get back to your sparkly friends before they think you died." Catra smiled.

Glimmer POV: "Bow I'm going to murder you.""We shouldn't sneak around Adora, okay?""Yeah yeah. It's pointless by now. I wouldn't know where she went. Can you let me go now."(Yeah I knOw she can teleport. Just..cut me some slack.)

But I'm definitely going to follow her if she's like this again.
