Sonic:Hey Tails!Mom told me I can go to the Acquaintance Party

Tails:Sweet!What are you gonna wear?

Sonic:Well... I'm gonna think about it

Tails:Okay then!See ya tomorrow

Sonic turned his phone off. He stood up from his seat and started writing something for his homework. Bernadette opened the door,seeing her son studying,she smiled

"Dear,I'm home"called Bernadette

Sonic look over her shoulder and stood up. He picked some of the groceries and placed it in their table

"Where's dad?"asked Sonic

"He's in his OT. He'll be home soon"answered Bernadette

Sonic nodded and continued his work

Shadow's POV

"Shadow I expect your best behavior here. Especially when he's around. Be responsible now. Just like him"Said Doom

I just nodded before he walked away. His words,I admit it. It pained me hearing him saying much compliments on other people, especially my cousin. While me?I never heard anything good about me from him. Even the medals that I was getting since young,he never said any word. And I don't even think he's proud. I just want a simple 'I'm proud of you, son'

Tch,what am I thinking? He'll never be like that again. He never even addressed me as 'son'

"Shadow"I heard a low voice behind me
