Chapter Five

09:01, 27 September 2021

Annnnddddd im back from the dead once again peoples, yes I know this story isn't going anywhere and neither is your life so aren't we all in a jam. So sit down and SHUT UP!!

               {Kyle/Kylie's P.O.V}

What the hell just happened? I just wanted to see what he was doing. Is he hiding something?

...Probably. I guess it's really none of my business anyway.

I walk down the crowded hallway full of posers, jocks, popular girls, and everything in between. I notice Cartman talking to Butters a little ways down the hall. I shake it off and continue to my that I share with Stan.

"Hey Kyle!" Stan says enthusiastically. I smile amused. "Well someone's a happy camper today." I chuckle a bit as Stan beams with even more positive energy. "Guess what!" He shouts. "Umm, youuu got a new girlfriend?" I say with an neutral tone. "Close enough, I got back together with Wendy!" My face drains, is he serious? This is honestly getting old.

"Dude I thought you said she was a bitch and your done with her? Wait- I also thought you were still dating her?! I see now it's clear that I have no idea what's going on in your love life." I sigh exasperatedly, he simply shrugs. "No we were on a break till I realized there's no other girls here worthy of my time." I frown slightly, that stung a little. "Ouch, guess that means I'm not worth your time." I force out a laugh.

He laughs and rubs my shoulder. "You're plenty worth my time Kylie, but you're also my best friend and I don't want to ruin that." I smile and playfully punch his arm. "Thanks Stanly, that means a lot." We laugh to ourselves for a few seconds, I notice a small blush on Stans cheeks, I wonder why, it's not that cold in here. Suddenly I see Wendy stomping over to us. Great, I can only imagine what she thinks we're up to. I put back my book and shut the locker as Wendy interrupts. "Stan~ aren't you going to walk me to class?" She asks in her high pitched voice. "Oh yeah of course, bye Kyle see you after class!" He waves to me then starts walking with Wendy, but of course not before she sends me a glare and walks down the hallway with Stan. That galre was clearly a 'watch it' glare.

I've been friends with Stan, Cartman, and Kenny since pre-school and I've never seen him in that way... Except that small phase I mention earlier, but NEVERMIND THAT! Unfortunately I don't ever think she won't hate me, out of the sheer fact of how close I am with Stan. Hell he's a nice guy and my best friend but, I don't think he's really my type. I seriously hope one day I can convince her that I mean no harm. I think to myself as I walk down the hallway to my next class.

(Authors note real quick, I did Wendy dirty in this story, I based her off of the early seasons where she was whiney and wasn't that big in the plot. Matt and Trey really developed her character and I'm super glad! I might one day write a bonus chapter where Wendy and Kylie sort out their differences, because honestly they'd be an unstoppable duo. When in doubt, if I never get around to it, I'm making it canon to the fic that they eventually become besties.

~~Time skip bitches~~~~~~~~~~

About half way through the class our science teacher tells us to get into partners to work on the upcoming project that's due soon.

I had last class was with Cartman, but obviously the tail end of class wasn't the most favorable.

Anyway, since Kenny is the only one in the class that is my good friend, naturally we partner up for the project.

"Sup Ky." Kenny says as he pulls up a chair in front of me. "Hey Ken, ready to do this stupid project?" I ask pulling the papers out. He simply groans in response, I laugh at his actions. Normally, I would be excited to do a project, but as the years go by school seems less and less appealing. I still do well, I just don't see the point in overexherting myself.

"Hey Kyle I've been meaning to ask you something." Kenny speaks in a hushed tone. "What is it?" I reply jotting down some notes.

He's hesitant at first but then he leans in closer to me. "Have you noticed anything... Off about Cartman?"

I stop writing and look up at the boy wearing orange. "You know... Now that you mention it, he does seem a bit off." He smirks and chuckles slightly. "Hmmm that's what I thought." I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"What are you getting at Kenny?" He grins and crosses his arms. "Well, me being the clever person I am, I've taken notice that our dear friend has developed some feelings for someone." He utters the last part in my ear before leaning away, a cheshire grin spread over his lips.

I feel a odd sensation in my stomach that isn't pleasant. "Uhh, what do you mean Ken? And who?" I ask slowly.

"Oh you want to know who Kyle? Well, I think you will be shocked to know that the resident fatass had taken an interest in a certain redheaded Jewish girl."

"What!? Cartman likes a Jewish girl?!! Are you being serious right now Ke-"

I'm cut off by the parka boy. "Whoa, whoa slow down cowgirl. I'm talking about you!" I snap my jaw shut, a deadpan look quickly replacing my shocked one. "Hah, ahhaha... That's real funny Kenny, seriously you had me going there." I drawl out sarcastically continuing to scribble my notes down. He groans and leans back in his chair.

"Come on Kyle I'm being seriously!" I would have laughed at our childhood joke but I'm to busy trying to comprehend what was just fed to me.

"Okay give me your proof." I say putting down my pencil and sitting back ready to listen too Kenny's 'facts'

"Gladly!" He shouts rubbing his hands in anticipation. I shush him to be more quiet but him simply ignores me.

"Well, remember that picture that he was drawing last hour?" I shake my head at the memory of the chubby boy getting flustered and running off with it. "That picture was of you." ...is he serious?

"What? Uh, no dude." I try to argue back. "Oh hoho, yes dude!" I sigh and roll my eyes. "Kyle I'm not kidding on this. When have I lied about something?" He stares at me with the most serious face I have ever seen him with. We've all lied, but honestly I can't remember the last time he's tried to pull my leg, at least at something this big.

I sigh and give in.

"Alright let's just say he does like me-"

"Witch he does!"

A heavy sigh escapes me. "As I was saying, IF he does. Then, what do you presume I do about it?"

He grins and sits forward slightly, a mischievous look planted on his face. "Well first off... Do you like him back?"

...

Fuck.

Clearing my throat I start. "I uhh."

Kenny smirks. "You do don't you."

I feel the heat rise to my face. "I..." I sigh looking at Kenny's genuine face. Dammit I can't lie to this kid.

"Honestly... I've felt like I've have had a connection with him since we were younger... But I always ignored it because I thought that was just how I felt around him because we were rivals. I got scared... I honestly still am Ken. We've 'hated' eachotherfor years, I shouldn't feel this way." I whisper lowly so only the boy in the parka can hear me. He breaks into a bright smile and fist bumps the air.

"I knew it!!!!"

"Shhh! What the hell?! Keep it down!" I yell in a panic, I see some students near by look over to us confused.

"Sorry, sorry I just got exited." I let a nervous breath out as our classmates go back to their projects. "Dude you gotta tell him!"

"Hah. No Kenny, he will never let me live it down. And honestly? I'm still hoping my feelings will go away. More like forcing them to go away..." I mumble the last part with a grimace. Kenny sighs and folds his hands.

"Fine, then that just means we have to conjure up a plan to get out dear Eric to fess up." I take a deep breath feeling a sick feeling sink into my gut. "And.. What do you suggest Ken?" He laughs darkly.

"I thought you would never ask..."

Whoa me updating this story!? Never heard of such a thing. But seriously it's about time right?
