Chan's POV

RANDOM GIRL- OPPA! WILL YOU HAVE LUNCH WITH ME?CHAN- Sorry babygirl, I got some reservations.RANDOM GIRL- W-What'd you mean? I thought we were--CHAN- I don't like you.RANDOM GIRL- *tears up* B-But--CHAN- Get lost. 

What are you doing Chan? Are you in your right mind right now? What's happening to you? 

Don't worry Chan. You're doing great! Keep it up!

I am having a mental breakdown at this point. I don't even know what I'm doing. What has happened to me? I haven't seen my friends the whole day. And the why the hell am I wearing this? But whatever this was, it was giving me a sense of satisfaction. The pain of yesterday has become the strength of today. This isn't right, Chan, stop it while you still can. The voice seemed to be getting fainter with every passing moment. I felt stronger. 

I questioned myself on whether I should sit with my friends or not. I decided that I'll just sit with them and act normal. My new normal that is.

I took my lunch and sat down on the table quietly, ignoring their eyes staring right at my soul. They're still staring. Still. Staring. "What?" I say trying to break the silence. "Don't act like you don't know the answer." Yukhei seethes. 

DOYOUNG- What. Is. Up. With. You. Bang. Christopher. Chan?! ARE IN YOUR RIGHT F--TAEYONG- No cursing in front of my kids, mister.DY- Oh DO shut your motherly mouth, Taeyong!TY- Shut YOUR mouth first! Oh hear that? That's the sound of the whole UNIVERSE agreeing with me!DY- Hear that? That is the sound of me not giving a damn. And YES I cursed MOTHER. TY- You rasca---SICHENG- *calmly* Can you two please not bicker and change the topic?

Doyoung and Taeyong look at the speaker of the sentence that basically E V E R Y O N E is whipped for, and immediately change the tone of their voice.

"SURE! WHATEVER YOU SAY! *heart eyes*""ANYTHING FOR YOU! *heart eyes*"

Amidst all the chaos there was one person who was particularly pissed of at me, shooting glares at me. That was none other than Kim Seungmin. Dahyun kept a hand on his shoulder, making him look down at his food. 

"Chan. Please stop this while you still can. I understand how you fe--" I interrupt Jaehyun immediately. "You'll never know what I'm feeling Jaehyun. Don't take fake ownership over it." 

JAEHYUN- Chan but-- CHAN- I SAID DON'T TAKE OWNERSHIP OF MY LIFE!! YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?! *slams table* 

I never yelled at my friends, I mean, the old Chan never yelled at his friends, he was patient. But I don't think I can allow that. Enough is enough I tell you.

SEUNGMIN- Lower your voice, Bang.

I was infuriated. If there was any of the old me left in my body, it all vanished then and there.

CHAN- I won't. What'll you do about it?CHANGBIN- Okay guys you can calm down now--SEUNGMIN- Don't even try to enrage me, it is the worst mistake you'll make.DAHYUN- Babe, please chill..CHAN- Right. Listen to your little thing of a girlfriend, child. It won't do you any good messing with me. SEUNGMIN- Not a word about Dahyun, bitch.CHAN- *mocking tone* Aww... did litwle wittle Sweungminnie get offwended? Hmm?SEUNGMIN- You won't learn, would you?

Seungmin gets up from his seat and comes over to my seat. He hits one of the legs of the chair I was sitting on with force, making the chair and me, both, fall to the ground. Chan it was your fault, just apologize. What are you doing? Are you crazy? He is your best friend!

SEUNGMIN- Get up. Get up if you can. 

Apologize? That ain't in my dictionary anymore.

Haechan's POV

The first half of the day was over and everyone was heading for the cafeteria. And for that matter of fact, for once I was grateful that I had a class with Sooyun. Because I need to have a talk with that girl. Just talk, nothing more. 🔪🔪🔪

"Bang Scarlet Sooyun, why did you do what you did yesterday I swear I---"

"HOT SAUCE GIPI DIP THAT EH TTARA NEON TWIST THAT EH HOT SAUCE TAOREOL TTAE IMMATDAERO GOLLA MA DISH"

"SOOYUN!" 

That is when I notice the idiot had her airpods plugged into her ears, for which she couldn't hear me. "YAH!" I pull out one of her airpods. She shoots at me a angry glare as she pauses whatever she was hearing. "You do NOT disturb me when I am jamming to NCT Dream, Lee Donghyuck. That was their latest comeback!" (A/N- I love that song! Believe me, I'm totally hooked 💚)

"NCT?" I ask with a confused look and she gives me a wide eyed look. "ARE YOU LIVING UNDER A GODDAMN ROCK MISTER?! NCT?! NCT DREAM, NCT 127, NCT U, NEO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY?! ANYTHING?" "I have heard of them, not really into them though." I reply. "Lee Donghyuck, I officially declare you as the most tasteless person in existence." She says, shaking her head in utter disappointment. Well, who volunteers to break the forth wall and tell her the truth? Not me. 

"Now, what is it that you were so desperate to talk to me about that you ruined my NCT time?" 

DONGHYUCK- Yesterday missy. I'm talking about yesterday. SOOYUN- What about yesterday? My brother got rejected by the girl he has liked for three years, and he is broken and wasted to the point he has completely changed his outlook on life OR the fact that YangYang spoiled the 6th part of the Harry Potter series when I have just watched till the 3rd part? Yeah.. those are the most important and significant things about yesterday that I remember. Both of the events left me sad.DONGHYUCK- For the first thing; YangYang told me about it, and I am equally saddened and shooketh as you right now cause they were my fav ship. I saw Chan hyung as I was going for Chemistry and I was shocked. And the second thing; how many bones did you break of his?SOOYUN- Let's just say that boy barely escaped his death yesterday. So what were you talking about? DONGHYUCK- Why'd you ask YangYang to take Minhee home yesterday?SOOYUN- Why not? DONGHYUCK- What'd you mean 'why not'? You know exactly what I mean!SOOYUN- What do I know? I know nothing?DONGHYUCK- Stop acting clueless. I told you about it yesterday.

(Note- this is a sorta continuation from Chapter 40, and since I know no one has the patience to go to that chapter to know what happened, for a summary, this was the chapter where Haechan's feelings for Minhee were revealed.)

That day I just felt really low and neglected. And then again seeing those two together just became the last straw. I broke down into tears because I couldn't hold it in or bottle up my emotions anymore. The hallway was almost empty as most of the students had already made their way to their respective classes. I would've looked like an idiot if someone would've seen me then. What would they know? They'd just see me as some random guy, leaning onto the locker, hiding his face and sobbing quietly. But of course, no one cares. I was my on my own at this moment. I had no shoulder to rely on. 

"Lee?" 

A familiar female voice comes from behind making me immediately wiping off my tears. "S-Sooyun what are you doing h-here?"  I try to put my best 'I'm fine' voice, but my throat was just really sore. "Oh my someone decided to start calling me by my first na-- were you... crying?" She seemed slightly shocked to see me in such a state. "Pfft.. me? Crying? Y-You in your right minds or n-not?" I reply, trying to sound in a 'rainbows and unicorns' mood.

"It is clear Hyuck, don't lie. I heard you sobbing. Is something bothering you?"

I ended up telling her the truth, and to be honest, I think just letting out my thoughts that day really did good for me. 

SOOYUN- *sighs* Bro, I know what you're talking about and I know you like her but, don't you think you should move on now? I understand the fact that you might be thinking I'm being a little to straightforward, but she doesn't like you the way like her. Do you think it is feasible to like someone who doesn't share the same feelings for you?DONGHYUCK- I absolutely hate it when you're right.SOOYUN- See? Even you know that I have a point. Hyuck, it will be hard at first, but just try to move on? K?DONGHYUCK- Right. I'll try. But wait, how'd you know so much?

Sooyun's facial changes completely. "I just know, okay? It is something like you know, 'been there, done that, got the t-shirt' type of scenario for me-- wait did I just say-- I shouldn't have said that." "Spill, Bang. What's the tea?" 

"Well yeah, I did have a boyfriend at one point of time, but it wasn't something really remarkable or a memorable relationship, the guy ended up cheating on me and yada yada yada, but you don't need to know otherwise." She gives a shrug while grabbing her books and heading for the door, clearly trying to avoid any further questions. "YAH! YOU DIDN'T TELL ME THE WHOLE THING! COME BACK HERE!" 

??- SOOYUN! SOOYUN! SOOYUN! WHERE ARE YOU?! WHERE ARE YOU?! WHERE ARE YOU?!

We see Jungwoo rushing into the room hurriedly. 

"What the-- Woo, what's up? And what's with the rush?" She says as Jungwoo stops to catch his breath. "Y-You won't believe what's happening and you have to be there. Come on!" He says, barely being able to talk. "What is going on Jungwoo?" I ask, for he seemed really worried. "And you Hyuck, we have been looking for you all around! WHERE WERE YOU?! But anyways, you two, come with me this instant! We have no time to lose!" He says, literally dragging us out of the room. 

SOOYUN- BUT WHAT HAPPENED?! WILL YOU AT LEAST TELL ME?!

JUNGWOO- I DON'T HAVE THE GODDAMN TIME TO YUN!! YOU HAVE TO COME!!!DONGHYUCK- BUT AT LEAST TELL US!!

He sighs and says something we weren't expecting at the least:

"Chan hyung and Seungmin hyung got into a crazy fight for some reason and both of them are hurt."
